Riversgold Ltd (ASX:RGL) non-executive director Ed Mead joins Proactive's Tylah Tully to discuss new high-grade gold results the company has received from aircore drilling at the Northern Zone Gold Project in Western Australia. Drilling has confirmed a 600-metre-wide porphyry system hosting shallow oxide gold mineralisation. A highlight was 8 metres at 4.86 g/t gold from 34 metres, which included 4 metres at 5.09 g/t, 1 metre at 18.22 g/t and 1 metre at 17.96 g/t. Additional results include 6 metres at 3.13 g/t from 30 metres and 5 metres at 3.74 g/t from 31 metres. The company aims to complete a mineralisation report by month-end, followed by a Mining Lease application. A fourth aircore campaign completed in November drilled 1,545 metres across 26 holes, adding to a total of nearly 9,000 metres drilled in 2024. These findings will update the project's Leapfrog model, guiding future exploration efforts. Chairman David Lenigas has highlighted the project's potential for open-pit mining, drawing comparisons to Black Cat Syndicate's nearby Myhree open pit operations. Riversgold is exploring ore processing strategies, inspired by Black Cat's turnkey development and processing approach for its Myhree/Boundary pits. #ProactiveInvestors #Riversgold #ASX #GoldMining #NorthernZone #WesternAustralia #HighGradeGold #MiningExploration #ASX #GoldDrilling #Mineralisation #PorphyrySystem #OpenPitMining #BlackCatSyndicate #AircoreDrilling #GoldProspecting #MiningNews #AustralianGold #Geology #MiningLease #DrillingResults #GoldIndustry
Riversgold Ltd (ASX:RGL) chairman David Lenigas sits down with Proactive's Jonathan Jackson to discuss excellent results stemming from a site visit to sample multiple prospects at its Tambourah Project. David, good to see you. During the visit Riversgold sampled multiple prospects at Tambourah, located 160 kilometres southeast of Port Hedland in Western Australia. The visit returned exceptional rock chip results, including 101 g/t gold and 21.78% copper. These findings validated historical exploration results and confirmed an anomalous copper and gold trend over a 12-kilometre strike length. Significant results included a rock chip from the Lone Star prospect with 101 g/t gold and 4.1% copper, and samples from the Hawkstone prospect yielded 21.78% copper and 3.3 g/t gold, and 16.78% copper and 2.4 g/t gold. Additionally, the Logans Find prospect registered up to 67.1 g/t gold. This news increased RGL's share price by up to 33.33% to 0.008 during morning trade. Lenigas described the results as a tremendously exciting development, highlighting the potential for further exploration driven by these surface findings. The company is focusing on the copper and gold potential at Tambourah as part of its broader exploration strategy. Technical director Ed Mead, who sampled the areas during the site visit, identified several gabbro intrusions that could be the source of the mineralisation. Riversgold plans to continue exploration in the coming weeks. Riversgold targeted five prospects for copper and gold at Tambourah -Logans Find, Lone Star, Hawkstone, Shaw Mullock and Trafalgar. The company is updating its regional geological modelling to revise the exploration strategy for the entire Tambourah Project. #ProactiveInvestors #Riversgold #ASX #TambourahProject #GoldMining #CopperMining #Exploration #WesternAustralia #MiningNews #Gold #Copper #StockMarket #Investing #Geology #RockChipResults #MiningIndustry #DavidLenigas #EdMead #Mineralisation #GabbroIntrusions #HistoricalExploration #GeologicalModelling #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews
We recorded this conversation just before the world shifted on October 7th. We actually have several conversations that we still need to release that we recorded in August and September, but I wanted to get to this one first due to the urgency of Shaka Shakur's situation. Shaka Shakur is a New Afrikan Political Prisoner who has been behind the walls for the majority of his life since he was 16 years old. He's currently held captive at Beaumont Correctional Center in Virginia. He was mentored by figures such as Zolo Azania and James “Yaki” Sayles. Shaka has an extensive track record of prisoner organizing and exposing injustices and human rights violations behind the walls. I'll include a more extensive bio from his Jericho Movement page in the show notes. Shaka had reached out to me after the publication of our discussion with Thandisizwe Chimurenga and Yusef “Bunchy” Shakur on Sanyika Shakur's political writings. He wanted to share some things and also offer the perspective of someone from Sanyika's generation who spent many years studying and struggling in the same circles, and communicating with Sanyika through the Prison News Service and other publications that circulated behind the walls connecting New Afrikan prisoners and other political and politicized prisoners. Shaka also describes similar experiences of becoming politicized during their first period of incarceration at a young age, struggling upon his return to the outside & ultimately ending up back behind the walls. Shakur shares his reflections on that era, on changes in the prison movement and outside support movements over time and on the disconnect that often exists between revolutionary rhetoric and revolutionary action in the US left in recent years. Importantly, Shaka Shakur is currently dealing with multiple urgent health issues, including his battle with cancer and we have multiple links and ways people can support his legal campaign and his request for clemency. We will have links to all of this in the show notes, but just to say that he is still asking people to call in and put pressure the Department of Correction for further medical testing. That call is in the show notes as well. This episode was also recorded before the passing of Ed Mead who we mention in this discussion. Rest well Ed, you've earned it. The last thing I will say is that although this was recorded before the Palestinian struggle took center stage, I think many of Shaka's reflections are relevant to that movement as well as the US based solidarity efforts that are currently underway so keep that in mind as you listen. Riversgold Ltd (ASX:RGL) technical direcctor Ed Mead tells Proactive the company has identified nine new lithium targets with readings above 135 parts per million in a previously untested central area of its Tambourah Lithium Project in WA's Pilbara region. The discovery follows a geochemical sampling of 3,070 samples, with a number of the targets sitting in magnetic lows or in and around magnetic breaks. These locations are now high-priority targets for an upcoming helicopter-supported field reconnaissance trip commencing on November 24. #ProactiveInvestors #RiversgoldLtd #ASX #Lithium #CriticalMinerals #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews
Coffee with Samso Episode 184 is with Julian Ford, CEO of Riversgold Limited (ASX: RGL) updating us on Riversgold's exploration activities since the last conversation in March 2023. Jump straight to the interview In our previous conversation, we discussed Riversgold Limited as a lithium explorer that I found interesting. One of the reasons I liked them is because they were among the few companies actively engaged in genuine mineral exploration for lithium. It's important for people to understand that the recent discoveries in the lithium sector have largely come from reevaluating previous exploration efforts. Companies have revisited their drill cores and discovered that the historical drilling had indeed encountered pegmatites. Samso is not begruding of the success of these companies, such as the Mount Holland Lithium project, which is now privately owned and operated by Covalent Lithium. Riversgold, on the other hand, continues its exploration activities in search of valuable lithium-bearing pegmatite. What I find interesting about Riversgold is their Northern Zone project. When I was researching this topic, I initially found their release titled Farm-in to Significant Porphyry Hosted Gold Project a bit confusing because the project had yielded promising results. The company is proceeding cautiously to ensure the reliability of these results, which I believe demonstrates prudent management. Julian, in particular, discusses the project and takes a measured view of its potential. What does Porphyry mean? Here is a description of what a porphyry deposit means from Earth Science Australia: The major products from porphyry copper deposits are copper and molybdenum or copper and gold. The term porphyry copper now includes engineering as well as geological considerations; It refers to large, relatively low-grade, epigenetic, intrusion-related deposits that can be mined using mass mining techniques. Geologically, the deposits occur close to or in granitic intrusive rocks that are porphyritic in texture. There are usually several episodes of intrusive activity, so expect swarms of dykes and intrusive breccias. The country rocks can be any kind of rock, and often there are wide zones of closely fractured and altered rock surrounding the intrusions. As is described following, this country rock alteration is distinctive and changes as you approach mineralization. Where sulphide mineralization occurs, surface weathering often produces rusty-stained bleached zones from which the metals have been leached; if conditions are right, these may redeposit near the water table to form an enriched zone of secondary mineralization. Figure 1: A schematic diagram of the basic structure of a porphyritic profile. What is the significance of a Porphyry deposit? Based on my experience, it is quite rare to find a fertile porphyry that contains only gold. Most porphyry deposits are typically associated with copper. However, Julian informs us that their system at the Northern Zone is devoid of any other metals and is solely a gold system. When we examine the historical drilling results, we can observe significant depth of mineralization, and the grades fall within the range of atypical mineralised porphyry gold system. Julian has mentioned that they are currently awaiting the results from their recent drilling program. These results will help confirm the assay content and determine if there is any false enrichment present (see below). Completion of Diamond Drilling of Northern Zone 26km ESE of Kalgoorlie It will be fascinating to see the assay numbers and gain a better understanding of the potential of this project. The core samples from the drilling program appear to be in excellent condition, which further adds to the anticipation of the assay results. Listen to Julian Ford here: Chapters: 00:00 Start 00:20 Introduction 01:03 Updates from Riversgold 02:57 The Gold Porphyry story 11:22 Metallurgical Cyanide Bottle Roll Test Results 13:37 How did the Northern Zone Project fly under the radar for so long? 19:34 Mt Weld Project 20:54 How should shareholders look at Riversgold? 23:04 Newsflow 23:50 Is the Porphyry story the main focus of Riversgold? 25:26 Why Riversgold? 26:03 Conclusion Samso's Conclusion The Riversgold story is an evolving narrative, and I appreciate the adventurous spirit of their projects. Julian impresses me as a composed and strategic individual who possesses a deep understanding of his work. When examining the Northern Zone project, the drilling results are remarkable and align with the expectations for a sizable deposit with low-grade bulk tonnage. According to the Visual Capitalist, porphyry deposits are very large, polymetallic systems that typically contain copper along with other important metals. Much of today's mineral production depends on porphyries: 60% of copper, 95% of molybdenum, and 20% of gold comes from this deposit type. The Bingham Canyon Mine, located in Utah and owned by Rio Tinto and in production since 1906, annually produces approximately: 300,000 tons of copper 400,000 oz of gold 4,000,000 oz of silver 30,000,000 lbs of molybdenum The value of the resources extracted to date from the Bingham Canyon Mine is greater than the Comstock Lode, Klondike, and California gold rush mining regions combined. So as you can see above, the magnitude of finding a deposit of this nature in a Tier-1 jurisdiction like Western Australia is going to make Riversgold appreciate in market capitalisation.
Ladies and gentlemen of the UK Estate Agency, fasten your seatbelts for a thrilling discussion on the current state of the UK property market! Recorded on Thursday, the 6th of July 2023, myself with the ICG bring you a gathering of industry giants ready to shed light on the eye-catching and perplexing trends that are defining the estate agency landscape in Summer 2023. As the stats reveal a gradual rise in fall-through rates, now at around 28% to 30%, it becomes crucial for estate agents to adapt their strategies. In this video, we're joined by some of the most influential figures in the UK estate agency industry to share their expertise and insights. First on our panel is the esteemed Lee Wainwright, the mastermind behind Focal Agent, known for exceptional outsourcing services. Alongside his impressive stint at Countrywide and being the former National Boss of Purplebricks, Lee's wealth of knowledge in estate agency is unmatched. And last but not least, the remarkable Iain White, once a prominent figure at Romans and now a mover and shaker in the industry, offering invaluable advice and guidance to top estate agencies. Our discussion will revolve around the challenges agents face in the current market climate. With an increasing workload and a need to staff up, all while income lags behind costs, the strategies to attract and retain buyers have never been more critical. As we explore this new buyer's market reminiscent of the 2008/2009 era, our esteemed panelists will delve into the opportunities it presents for seasoned agents to differentiate their services from competitors. The tides are changing, and estate agents must steer their ships in a new direction to thrive in this dynamic landscape. Stay tuned as we uncover the secrets to success, and learn how to navigate the property market storm with these expert insights. Don't miss out on the chance to gain a competitive edge in today's challenging estate agency world!

Getting real in this episode of Ed Talks – a new solo episode where Ed reveals more of his extensive career as an estate agent
Quick nuggets of inspiration from the recent ICG meet up. Ed Mead founder of Viewber answers David Mintz's questions.
In this episode we interview Ed Mead. Mead is a veteran of the revolutionary underground organization the George Jackson Brigade which operated in solidarity with prisoner, anti-racist, and anti-imperialist struggles. A prolific organizer and participant of prisoner struggles both inside and outside of prisons, Ed also co-founded the prisoner organization Men Against Sexism. He also worked with a number of other organizations and struggles over the years including work with the Prairie Fire Organizing Committee, the Attica Brothers Legal Defense Committee, the National Lawyers Guild, Prison Legal News, and California Prison Focus. In this conversation we talk about some lessons along the way of Ed's political development, from social prisoner to jailhouse lawyer to organizer to revolutionary to political prisoner. Ed offers unvarnished reflections from a life in struggle, characteristically with no holds barred for what he refers to as “the tamed left.” Our conversation was informed by Ed Mead's autobiography Lumpen and by Daniel Burton-Rose's books on the George Jackson Brigade. Trading Standards (NTSELAT's) research showed that >90% of those going on portals wanted to see detailed info about a property. So I'm not sure I understand why there should be any backlash at all against such info being mandated?! I've seen solicitors and agents worrying about it - why?Interested to hear what James Munro, Head of the National Trading Standards Estate and Letting Agency Team thinks about this
Starting off 2022 with Ed doing a special solo episode. Ed reveals more of his true thoughts and feelings on working in the property industry. As we all know, working from home is STILL a hot topic.Ed has lived both lives, as a fast paced, face-to-face London property estate agent surrounded by fellow colleagues, and the complete opposite working solo from home on his own business ventures. He's gone from being an 'insider' in the estate agency world to an 'outsider' running a company that services estate agents. He is ready to report back and spill some of his secrets to help others that are on their own property journey. This is very open, very honest episode from Ed and some things may certainly surprise you."There is no excuse these days for people not to improve the service!"
Ed welcomes social housing expert and consultant, Jonathan Gregory to the podcast.Plenty to learn about the sector in this very open and honest chat between the pair - one experienced in the private rental sector, the other in the social rental sector.Jonathan has a background in social care and managing children's homes and is well-known as a part of the social housing, maintenance and repair side of the industry. He also provides coaching/advice to organisations and is a consultant at sector expert Campbell Tickell.Ed admires what Jonathan has achieved, not only for himself and building up his businesses but for what he has done for other people.Differences between the Social Housing and Private sectors is an interesting point that comes to the fore. This is exactly why Ed invited Jonathan on the show – we can all gain something and learn! They talk about differences, challenges, life-long relationships between tenants and landlords, what the future holds and more. Before you tune in, we'll leave this fact with you – there are around 5 million houses in the social housing sector, an enormous number. There are big issues with positive changes happening and MOST IMPORTANTLY we are beginning to talk about it.Enjoy the episode.
This week on the show, you'll hear our conversation with Mwalimu Shakur, a politicized, New Afrikan revolutionary prison organizer incarcerated at Corcoran prison in California. Mwalimu has been involved in organizing, including the cessations of hostilities among gangs and participation in the California and then wider hunger strikes against unending solitary confinement when he was at Pelican Bay Prison in 2013, helping to found the Incarcerated Workers Organizing Committee, or IWOC, Liberation Schools of self-education and continues mentoring younger prisoners. He was in solitary confinement, including in the SHU, for 13 of the last 16 years of his incarceration. For the hour, Mwalimu talks a bit about his politicization and organizing behind bars, his philosophy, Black August, the hunger strikes of 2013, the importance of organizing in our neighborhoods through the prison bars. You can contact Mwalimu via JayPay by searching for his state name, Terrence White and the ID number AG8738, or write him letters, addressing the inside to Mwalimu Shakur and the envelope to: Terrence White #AG8738 CSP Corcoran PO Box 3461 Corcoran, CA 93212 Mwalimu's sites: https://wireofhope.com/prison-penpal-terrance-white/ https://ajamuwatu.wixsite.com/ajamuwatu To hear an interview from way back in 2013 that William did former political prisoner and editor of CA Prison Focus, Ed Mead (before & after the strikes). Black August has been celebrated at least since 1979 to mark these dates with study, exercise, community building, sharing and reflection by revolutionaries on both sides of the bars. There was a call-in campaign this week focused on VA Governor Northam, director of VADOC Harold Clark, VADOC central regional director Henry Ponton and Warden Woodson at BKCC. This was in support of Shakur's hunger strike in protest of the transfer, his time in solitary prior in Indiana for having his prescription medication, being moved into solitary at BKCC with minimal hygiene and no personal materials. As noted in the transcript about his hunger strike at IDOCWatch's website, the transfer interrupts civil and criminal litigation Shaka Shakur had pending in Indiana and has caused him to be halfway across the country after his own surgeries, the loss of his family matriarch and another aunt, the hospitalization of mother and other health hardships. Viewber co-founder, Ed, has recorded episode two of what we are calling ‘The Ed Mead Diaries' – a solo series, revealing more about his property career, personal stories, wins, losses – with a whole lot of honesty thrown in there too. This time, Ed talks about renting. Lately, we've been researching this topic in more detail. It can be a touchy subject and there are LOTS of opinions about renting vs buying – take our latest blog post for example, ‘Why are Brits hung up on homeownership?' - https://viewber.co.uk/news/why-are-brits-hung-up-on-homeownership Everyone's experience is different, but we want to know more about why Ed went down the road he went down (*hint* he would rather rent than buy) – surprising?
Thinking about starting a career in the property industry or know someone who is?Would REAL insight into Estate Agency help?Or might you just like to know a bit more, have a refresh, learn some new tips and tricks from a long term, successful player. We've started a new series with Viewber Co-Founder Ed Mead - it could be time to reeeeally find out what Ed's journey has been like. With 40 years in this industry, he has some salient knowledge to pass on (plus a few amusing and rather honest tales!)If you have anything in particular you would like Ed to cover, or maybe you have a specific question - fire them over to Ed at: emead@viewber.co.ukVisit the Viewber website: https://viewber.co.uk/
Coffee with Samso Episode 78 with Ed Mead, Technical Director of White Cliff Minerals Limited (ASX:WCN) Investing in what you understand The junior explorers are feeling a bit lukewarm at the moment but don't let that fool you. As I have mentioned in most of the Coffee with Samso in the last 12 months, I have said that for many decades, the enthusiasm is unseen so tread the market with caution. Corporate finance associates in the mining sector are telling me that business is hectic and they are sup-busy. Transactions are happening and they had only a one-week break when the gold price turned. Now, they are back in business. As Rick Rule, in Coffee With Samso Episode 70, points out that most astute investors are saying they are smart but rather they have seen a lot. They will tell you that quality and a complete understanding of the business are critical. I am in this camp and this "lull" in the market can be seen as profit-taking or the market finding equilibrium. Whatever the reason for the pullback, my "two cents worth" is that the next six months will be turbulent but if you have a two to three year view, you will be happy. Most importantly, one has to understand the business of your investment. Check out Commodities and Equities: Advice from Rick Rule (27:28 Investing in What You Understand - Understand Real Value) White Cliff Minerals Limited (ASX:WCN) is now positioning to explore in New Zealand. White Cliff Minerals announcing the acquisition of the New Zealand projects is an interesting strategy. We all know that the world is now looking at the bright lights at the end of the tunnel. Investors know that it is only a matter of time when things will start to boil again. What I like about the projects is that they are in New Zealand and things will get better. New Zealand is not the super "Green" state that frowns upon all mining. In fact, it is the opposite. They have regulations like every other mining jurisdiction and they have different ways to deal with keeping the environment. The geology is good and having worked in New Zealand before, I know that the mineral prospectivity is very high. There has not been the intense exploration like in Australia and there has never been as good a time as now to source funding. There are no sovereign risk issue and there are abundant expertise in country. Hence, what is there not to like? In this episode of Coffee with Samso, Ed Mead tells us about the projects and how they fit within the present company portfolio. Ed shares with us the reasoning behind those projects and his thoughts on the prospects in the market.
Listen to ASX-listed White Cliff Minerals Executive Director, Ed Mead talk to Matt Birney on the 6PR Bulls N' Bears Report about the company's new suite of historic gold projects in NZ that would not have lasted a day on the market in WA. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
This time, it's Ed's turn to be in the hot seat and we really wanted to share this with you.Viewber co-founder, Ed Mead was invited onto David Sandeman’s new series – ‘Dialogue with David’David is head of the Essential Information Group and has been watching us grow the business at Viewber since 2016 David IS Mr Auctions and is so full of knowledge. This is a relaxed and honest chat between Ed and David, the two share snippets of their personal journeys in property – both very different (ex-estate agent vs auctioneer) and we start by jumping straight it with ‘what gave you the idea to set it (Viewber) up in the first place?’
Longevity works?Ed talks to London based Ludlow Thompson MD, Alexander Rawlinson in this Lockdown edition episode.Alex has been part of the company for a long, long time (unusual these days) and is partly why Ed wanted to talk to him.Alex reveals that typically, Ludlow Thompson mainly deal with more lettings properties than sales, but Covid has levelled that up.Ed: “Why are you experiencing more lettings and sales at the same time now?”Alex: “We’ve not experienced this before. Both lettings and sales are seeing inflated numbers because of changed circumstances”Short lets are out the window. Those Landlords have looked for longer, more traditional rents – or are putting them up for sale.An interesting episode, a first-hand perspective from a long-term agent reporting on what changes are REALLY happening on the agency front line – it’s definitely got us thinking!
In this episode, Yasmin Nair talks to us about developments within queer politics since the AIDS epidemic. We cover Pete Buttigieg, the non-profit industrial complex, the politics of Against Equality, far-right gays, how to think about sex politically, anti-trans violence, and the neoliberal university. You can find Yasmin on Twitter @NairYasmin (https://bit.ly/3pMofCs) and read more of her work at https://yasminnair.com.

Instead of pointing out deficiencies, Ed Mead, as an ex estate agent and now Proptech Founder at Viewber, started a discussion recently looking for solutions to speeding up the home buying and selling process.Peter Ambrose, a principle at The Partnership - a team of property solicitors - has joined that discussion so have a look at their video session to see what they think!Watch the chat here: https://vimeo.com/484496228
This week Viewber co-founder, Ed Mead caught up with CEO of Prospect Engine, Ishmael Herrera-Lee.Prospect Engine is a clever lead management outsourcing outfit. As Ishmael describes his company, it’s a white labelled outsourced prospecting firm, working predominately through historic data i.e. previous appraisals, landlords, listings, withdrawn stock, applicants with properties to sell on the market selling privately. They also manage and handle any type of lead source, giving a response within minutes – extremely efficient.Ishmael bought some thought-provoking topics to the table – not just to get Ed thinking, but maybe for you too.Ishmael’s company, Prospect Engine and Viewber work in sync with each other at different points in the customer journey – Proptech, two for the price of one.We will let the podcast do the rest of the talking...
Another positive collaboration that’s come from Viewber co-founder Ed’s lockdown…Rupert Bates has spent his career in journalism with a property background including twenty years at The Telegraph covering property and sport. He's now editorial director and owner of industry bible Show House Magazine and B2C portal Whathouse.com. Anyone familiar with his Social Media feeds will understand his passion for Rugby and Wolves(!). He's also fearless about wandering out of his comfort zone.Show House is the go-to publication in the housebuilding and development arena and Rupert realised that many of his readers might struggle post Covid with understrength staffing and booming demand. Thinking practically, he figured Viewber's last mile services could be a perfect fit for their readers’ businesses and the upshot is a thoroughly modern partnership between his magazine and the flexible Viewber services. If you are connected to the housebuilding industry see if you agree with what they say...
As the world came to a Covid halt, Viewber co-founder Ed turned lockdown around and used it to positively listen to a variety of industry experts. If you don’t know Richard Rawlings, founder of Estate Agency Insight already, he is an award-winning estate agency trainer and sought-after coach and always at top-industry gatherings. The reason Richard is here is because Ed was trouble shooting with the team on why all high street agents don't at least use Viewber occasionally – Ed knew exactly who would tell him how it is.Richard’s insights into the industry and how it's changing are worth listening to, his seminars are always targeted at generating income and maximising profits and they have 70 years of property experience between them. They also talked about something Ed used to do a lot during his time at Douglas & Gordon - acting for buyers. At uncertain times it's clearly a source of income that benefits from your local expertise and requires no extra set up costs, it’s very interesting to hear what Richard has to say about that too...
Simon Whale and David Mintz are joined by Ed Mead and Peter Rollings of Viewber. We talk the past, present and future of the property industry.
Property Podcast, “The Property Show” is back for a "lockdown" edition with another entertaining discussion on the housing, property and mortgage market. This time Andrew “Monty” Montlake is joined by Property Show regular, Ed Mead. Ed is a property legend who worked with Douglas & Gordon for many years and is now founder of Proptech firm Viewber. Joining them is Louisa Fletcher, an accomplished property expert with over twenty years' professional experience in the industry, as well as being a journalist, author and broadcaster As well as finding out how our guests are dealing with "lockdown", the main topic of conversation is, of course, the current environment and what effect all of this is having on the property market. What does this mean for estate agency, furloughed staff, brokers, buyers, and vendors and has this fundamentally changed the buying process for years to come? We also deal with questions such as, are we all going to move out of big cities, will technology finally have to live up to its promise and how are we all going to get back to work quickly and most importantly, safely? House prices, whether or not there should be more Government stimulus and what consumers are worried about most, also get looked at. If you would like more information about our Property Podcast series, have any questions, or would like to appear on the show in future episodes please contact us here. You can reach Monty on Twitter @montysblog, Ed @ed_mead, or Louisa @louisafletcher.

Welcome back to ‘#EdTalks’ the property podcast!Ed has invited an old friend into the recording booth this time (a familiar face to a lot of you), Phil Spencer. In this open and honest episode, Phil talks more about his journey, starting work as an estate agent at 23 and learning the hard way, especially when recession hit the property market! He has developed quite the career for himself in the property industry, seemingly mostly on the buyer’s side, so it was a fantastic opportunity for Ed to delve a little deeper into finding out more.Ed asks more about filming on his hit TV shows such as ‘Location, Location, Location’ and ‘Love it or List it’ and uncovers more of what goes on ‘behind the scenes’.We also learn more about Move iQ – Phil’s business that has just turned 2 and is based around guidance and advice for buyers, which is certainly growing at a rapid pace.Grab your headphones and tune in!(Watch the video recording of this podcast episode over on the Viewber YouTube channel)
Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO) used to be a dirty word in Ed's day, but are they now a passport to better yields.Do you worry about keeping up with lettings legislation in general and should you be actively thinking of turning your existing rental into one for a better return?Do you even know if that rental you own/manage even IS an HMO and requires licensing?!With over 300 authorities in the UK to understand and stay compliant with, how do you keep up to date?Ed's guest this month has been working with some of London's top names for three years to manage compliance in this area. Let someone else keep up with constantly changing legislation and avoid headline grabbing and eye watering fines!Hear how Paul Conway, owner and co-founder of HMO Services London, has been taming this fast growing area, is trying to rebrand HMOs as ''Co-Living" and how he can connect you with experts nationally who'll give simple on demand advice.A great discussion - see what you think...

Ed tries to bring guests onto the property podcast who have good ideas for the future, but also like to try and open the door to some people that you may have heard about and may not know much about. So, on this latest episode of Ed Talks, he has invited two guests – one with a healthy and longstanding auction background, the other with an eye on using tech from auctions to improve private treaty sales.David Sandeman, MD of The Essential Information Group (does what it says on the tin and has been providing data rooms and data for well over 20 years) and Tim Main, an RICS qualified Estate Agent and also Director and Founder of PIPs Ltd – a new PropTech company designed to speed up the buying process. They are now working together on something new and exciting. Please join in and listen to this discussion as they delve deeper into the alchemy that is the Property Auctions. Coffee with Samso is all about the "Paterson Goldfields". A wealth of potential gold and copper deposits could be found in what I feel is a very underexplored province. This mineral belt is about to open up. Ed Mead gives us an update on the latest Share Purchase Plan (SPP) and speaks about the potential of the other projects they have in their portfolio. We discussed the new seismic information made available by Geoscience Australia and the Geological Department of Western Australia. We speak about the positive change in investor sentiment for the exploration industry.

'Is it the people coming into the agency that are changing it, or the other way round?' is this episode of Ed Talk's hot topic! In this episode: Ed's guest Josh Rayner began his recruitment career at the young age of 17 and really hustled and worked his way to the top. Having dabbled in estate agency for a brief period, then a large recruitment agency, he left and began building up his own business. Rayners Personnel is now a successful franchise business, working with the 'super brands' to one-off independents.Josh brings great energy to this chat with Ed. Fast-paced, entertaining and at times heated we look at how the property market is doing, ask whether there is indeed a housing crisis and what we should do about it, including whether Stamp Duty is part of the issue. We discuss the New Build market, land-banking and ask whether the Buy to Let changes are having the desired effect. We also tackle the $1m question – is there ever a good time to buy and is it now? We will be back in September and if you have any comments or questions in the meantime to put to either myself or our guests you can contact us on twitter @ThePropertySh11 or through our website at coreco.co.uk.
