McKnight Crossings Church guest preacher, Eric McPherson, asks us to consider the paradigms, the routines, in which we normally live. We are encouraged to consider how our perspectives might change if we shift those paradigms and do something or think about something differently. Seeing things in new ways might give us better understanding of God's perspective and how He see's the world, the people in it, and how to love them.
Master drummer Eric McPherson sits down with Pablo Held to discuss his idea of flow on the drums, lessons learned from jazz legends Jackie McLean, Andrew Hill & Pharoah Sanders, his relationship to bassists Ben Street & John Hebert and memorable moments in the studio / on the road. ___ • Support ‘Pablo Held Investigates' … Continue reading Eric McPherson

"Ik heb het gevoel dat er te weinig speelkansen zijn. Als je dan juist geen manager hebt die er keihard voor gaat, dan vind ik het zo jammer voor die mensen die supergoed spelen... Soms voel ik me zelfs schuldig dat ik management heb, als ik het vergelijk met mensen van mijn leeftijd of andere muzikanten die dat niet hebben. Er zouden meer managementkantoren, meer bookers moeten zijn." They have become one of the top bands on the international Swing scene, performing at the Blue Note Jazz Festival (NYC), Melbourne International Jazz Festival (Australia), Sopot Molo Jazz Festival (Poland), Snowball (Stockholm), SLOX (California), CPH:LX (Copenhagen) and Melbourne International Jazz Festival. As a leader, he has recorded ten CDs and two DVDs both in Australia with his quartet and also in New York through Arbors Records.
