Est-ce un signe ? Alexis Loison se dit "un peu superstitieux, mais moins que d'autres". Pas au point de croire au mauvais œil, celui qui le poursuivrait, lui qui vise, pour sa 18e participation, la victoire dans la prochaine édition.Pourquoi un tel acharnement, alors que les figaristes d'aujourd'hui restent moins longtemps que leurs glorieux aînés, qui consentaient à quitter le circuit au bout d'une dizaine d'années pour beaucoup d'entre eux ? Parce qu'il aime cette course, tout simplement.Une passion qui le tient depuis son plus jeune âge : un virus transmis par son père et les croisières familiales depuis Cherbourg, le port d'attache des Loison. puis les courses du Rorc, le Laser, le First Class 8, le Figaro 1 avec Alexandre Toulorge... Lycéen, il rêve de Figaro., pas de Route du Rhum ou de Vendée Globe !Il plonge enfin dans le grand bain en 2006, à l'occasion du départ de la Solitaire depuis Cherbourg : et c'est parti pour 17 participations consécutives - avec juste une pause en 2022. Il lui faudra six éditions pour rentrer dans le top 10, quand, enfin, après des années de vaches maigres, il décroche un vrai sponsor - Fiva - et entre au Pôle Finistère course au large. Depuis il fait partie des habitués du top 10, candidat "naturel" à la victoire, même s'il n'a remporté qu'une seule étape et n'est jamais monté sur le podium.Figariste, Alexis Loison est aussi stakhanoviste, n'hésitant pas à multiplier les supports, en particulier l'IRC, qu'il fréquente assidûment sur les courses du Rorc : en 2013, avec son père, il réalise un exploit, remportant le Fastnet en double et au général - une épreuve qu'il a remportée 4 fois au total. Ce 239e épisode de Pos. Report, désormais bimensuel, reçoit un skipper qui, s'il n'a pas été élu Marin de l'Année 2025 en décembre - trophée remis à Charlie Dalin -, peut se targuer d'avoir bouclé une saison exceptionnelle, marquée par quatre victoires majeures, le Tour de Bretagne en Figaro 3 avec Corentin Horeau en juin, le Fastnet overall avec Jean-Pierre Kelbert en juillet, la Solitaire du Figaro Paprec en septembre pour sa 19e participation et, pour finir en beauté, la Sydney Hobart, là encore overall, le dernier jour de l'année.C'est justement le match de cette classique australienne que nous refaisons avec le Cherbourgeois, qui revient d'abord sur ses cinq participations précédentes et explique comment il a accepté de disputer la 80e édition avec l'Australienne Jiang Lin, une navigatrice peu expérimentée, à bord du JPK 10.30 Min River.Il raconte ensuite une préparation réduite au strict minimum - quelques sorties à son atterrissage en Australie - et quels étaient les objectifs au moment du départ, le 26 décembre, le principal étant de bien figurer en IRC double. Un objectif qui a peu à peu évolué, notamment parce que la météo était favorable aux petits ratings, à savoir deux jours de près pour commencer et une dernière nuit dans du vent fort au portant dont n'ont pas bénéficié les plus gros bateaux.Reste que, au moment de couper la ligne d'arrivée en Tasmanie, le duo franco-australien, s'il était assuré de gagner en IRC 6, pensait terminer deuxième en IRC double et overall derrière le JPK 1080 BNC – my::NET / LEON du duo calédonien Michel Quintin/Yann Rigal. Ce dernier a finalement écopé d'une pénalité qui a permis à Min River de remporter la prestigieuse Tattersall Cup, “une fierté” pour Alexis Loison. Ce 236e épisode de Pos. Report reçoit Jérémie Beyou, vainqueur en Imoca de la Transat Café L'Or aux côtés de Morgan Lagravière à bord de Charal.Ce dernier commence par raconter son convoyage retour de Martinique et le programme des semaines à venir, avec notamment des vacances prévues - “plutôt farniente au soleil”. Nous remontons ensuite le fil de la saison 2025, en commençant par son retour du Vendée Globe en janvier à la quatrième place, suivi d'une phase de décompression qui a réellement cessé quand le skipper de Charal a renoué avec la compétition sur la Course des Caps fin juin (cinquième). Course au cours de laquelle il a commencé à sentir les effets des optimisations effectuées sur la plan Manuard à son retour du tour du monde.Il raconte ensuite l'arrivée de Morgan Lagravière dans l'équipe juste avant le départ du Fastnet (deuxième place) et l'apport de ce dernier pour le projet, d'où une certaine sérénité du tandem au départ de la Transat Café L'Or fin octobre. Nous refaisons le match de la course, avec une stratégie globale, construite avec Bertrand Pacé, Tom Dolan et Marcel Van Triest, respectée à la lettre, ce qui a permis à Charal, optimisé pour cet objectif, de sortir dans le paquet de tête des Canaries, avant de faire la différence sur ses concurrents dans les alizés.Jérémie Beyou confie sa satisfaction de voir le travail de la saison récompensé par cette victoire dont il décrit les ingrédients, s'agaçant que certains ne la mettent qu'au crédit des nouveaux safrans. Report clôt une série consacrée à la Transat Café L'Or en recevant un son directeur de course, tout juste rentré de Martinique, Francis Le Goff.Ce dernier confie son soulagement de voir tous les concurrents désormais à bon port - le dernier Class40 a franchi la ligne ce mardi 25 novembre à 10h07 - et sa satisfaction de voir que la transat s'est globalement bien déroulée, avec peu d'abandons (7 en Class40, 3 en Ocean Fifty sur 74 bateaux), preuve de la maturité technique des projets.Nous faisons ensuite un retour en arrière d'un mois, Francis Le Goff revenant sur la décision de la direction de course, à la demande de la classe, de lancer les Ocean Fifty le samedi 25 octobre, 24 heures avant le départ prévu. Issu d'une famille emblématique de la voile française, Antoine Carpentier a construit depuis trente ans une carrière aussi discrète qu'immense : triple vainqueur de la Transat Jacques Vabre, triple vainqueur du Tour de France à la voile, quintuple vainqueur du Fastnet - entre autres.Fils de Jean-Michel et neveu de Patrice Carpentier, il grandit entre La Trinité-sur-Mer et les pontons de la SNT avant de devenir un équipier recherché. De l'habitable en baie de Quiberon au Tour de France à la voile, il s'impose très tôt comme un régatier complet, capable d'évoluer sur tous les postes et tous les supports.Dans cet épisode, il revient longuement sur cette trajectoire singulière, façonnée par une culture de l'équipage et un goût prononcé pour les projets collectifs. Devenu pro presque naturellement après es études, il raconte ses années structurantes en ORMA au début des années 2000, puis l'aventure exceptionnelle de Courrier Dunkerque, avec Daniel Souben, où il remporte plusieurs Tours de France à la voile. Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced Fastnet, a new state-of-the-art transatlantic subsea fibre optic cable system connecting Maryland, U.S., and County Cork, Ireland. When operational in 2028, Fastnet will add vital diversity for customers by building a new data pathway with unique landing points, keeping services running even if other undersea cables encounter issues. This enhanced network resilience will improve global connectivity and meet rising demand for cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI). Increasing resilience through system diversity Fastnet is a dedicated transatlantic cable system designed with two strategic landing points that deliver critical route diversity away from traditional cable corridors. This strategic placement strengthens the network in two ways: it provides backup routes if other cables encounter issues, and it creates a network design for growing demands in cloud computing, AI, and edge applications that use AWS services such as Amazon CloudFront and AWS Global Accelerator. The Fastnet system incorporates advanced optical switching branching unit technology, engineered to accommodate future topology needs. This state-of-the-art unit is strategically positioned on the cable route, enabling seamless redirection of data to future landing points as network demands evolve. This scalable architecture is specifically designed to handle growing AI traffic loads, allowing customers to rapidly expand their data demands while the system adapts to accommodate future growth. Fastnet is designed for long-term reliability and performance. The system combines robust cable armoring with additional layers of protective steel wires in nearshore areas to protect against natural and human activity. With a design capacity exceeding 320 terabits per second (Tbps), Fastnet will integrate directly into AWS's comprehensive global network. To put this capacity in perspective, the system could transmit the entire digitized Library of Congress three times every second, or stream 12.5 million HD films simultaneously. This integration enables rapid data rerouting and multiple layers of redundancy, helping ensure uninterrupted operations for customers. Unlike the public internet, where each networking device makes routing decisions with limited network visibility, AWS's centralized, real-time traffic monitoring system has complete visibility into every link within the global network. This system implements millions of daily optimizations to ensure customer traffic always uses the most available and performant path, avoiding congestion and other issues before they impact applications. Through Fastnet, customers benefit from secured long-term capacity and rapidly scalable bandwidth for their most critical operations, from generative AI and cloud-native applications to advanced research, transatlantic business connectivity, and international commerce. This investment in network diversity helps ensure customers can reliably access their cloud resources, with the flexibility to quickly expand capacity as their demands grow. Driving community development Infrastructure projects of this scale succeed when they're built in partnership with communities. From day one, AWS has worked closely with local organisations, nonprofits, and residents in both Maryland and County Cork to understand what success looks like for them. Ce 229e épisode de Pos. Report, consacré à la Transat Café L'Or, reçoit Achille Nebout, skipper du Class40 Amarris, qui, avec Gildas Mahé, fera partie des prétendants au podium de l'édition 2025 qui s'élancera le 26 octobre du Havre à destination de Fort-de-France (Martinique).Il commence par évoquer les caractéristiques de son Lift V2, plan Lombard Yacht Design mis à l'eau en 2022 pour Yoann Richomme (qui gagnera la Route du Rhum à son bord la même année), un bateau réputé très performant au près et au reaching, qu'il a depuis fait évoluer, notamment en déplaçant un ballast et en travaillant sur le jeu de voiles, et particulièrement les spis, de façon à moins enfourner.Si le skipper d'Amarris est d'accord pour dire que les différents plans (Lombard, Raison, Manuard, Guelfi…) ont tous leurs points forts et faibles, il estime que finalement, ce sont surtout les marins qui font la différence à l'échelle d'une transat. Il revient ensuite sur sa saison, perturbée par un démâtage en début de CIC Normandy Channel Race, qui l'a contraint à s'adapter techniquement, avec la construction d'un mât neuf, et sportivement, lui et Gildas Mahé ayant basculé sur un Pogo RC mis à disposition par le chantier Structures, ce qui leur a notamment permis de disputer le Fastnet, avec à la clé une 3e place en IRC overall !Le Méditerranéen installé à Lorient explique ce que lui apporte son co-skipper, avec lequel il collabore depuis le début du projet Class40, et revient sur leur Transat Jacques Vabre 2023 (devenu Café L'Or cette année), terminée à la deuxième place, malgré une blessure à bord de Gildas Mahé. Report reçoit Franck Cammas pour commenter son actualité chargée, entre Course des Caps sur l'Imoca Holcim PRB tout juste terminée à la troisième place, et navigations à partir de mercredi sur l'Ultim SVR Lazartigue.Il commence par raconter comment, sur une proposition de Sébastien Col, le team manager, il a intégré le team Holcim PRB en vue de The Ocean Race Europe, l'objectif prioritaire de la saison. La Course des Caps, qui n'était au départ pas au programme, s'est avérée riche d'enseignements pour l'équipage composé pour l'occasion, en plus de notre invité, de Nicolas Lunven, Alan Roberts, Annemieke Bes et Anne Beaugé (OBR).On refait ensuite le match de ce tour des îles britanniques avec Franck Cammas qui explique que dans certaines conditions, Holcim PRB a souffert de la comparaison en vitesse avec ses rivaux, Macif Santé Prévoyance (Sam Goodchild), Association Petits Princes-Quéguiner (Elodie Bonafous) et Vulnerable (Thomas Ruyant). Deuxième au Fastnet et quatrième au nord de l'Ecosse, Holcim PRB a finalement pris la troisième place au prix d'une grosse bataille de virements de bord avec Association Petits Princes-Quéguiner et après avoir déploré une casse au niveau du bout-dehors.On ouvre ensuite une page Ultim, Franck Cammas revenant sur son intégration au sein du team SVR Lazartigue, au point qu'il a récemment été nommé directeur de la performance, avec l'objectif d'accompagner Tom Laperche jusqu'à la Route du Rhum 2026 et d'optimiser le plan VPLP, notamment pour répondre au futur Gitana 18 quand ce dernier sera lancé l'automne prochain.On termine cet épisode en évoquant la recherche de partenaires de notre invité en vue du Vendée Globe 2028, qui l'a d'ores et déjà contraint à modifier ses échéances. Deze cup staat al decennia bekend als één van de meest uitdagende evenementen binnen de internationale zeilsport. Topteams van over de hele wereld nemen het tegen elkaar op in een serie van offshore- en inshore-races in de wateren rond de Solent, het Kanaal en de Atlantische Oceaan. Voor Nederland was er mooi succes. Gerd-Jan Poortman, die met het Rotterdam Offshore Sailing Team in de AC1-klasse van de Admiral's Cup vaart, heeft de afsluitende Rolex Fastnet Race gewonnen; en Jelmer van Beek, co-schipper op de Black Jack 100, wonnen de line honours in de monohullklasse van het prestigieuze evenement. Ce 222e épisode de Pos. Report reçoit deux invités qui, samedi 26 juillet, prendront le départ de la Rolex Fastnet Race à bord de l'Ultim Banque Populaire XI, à savoir son skipper Armel Le Cléac'h et Sébastien Josse, co-skipper du bateau et nommé directeur sportif du Team Banque Populaire en mars.Nous commençons justement par évoquer avec nos invités ces changements à la tête du Team, provoqués par le départ du directeur, Ronan Lucas, la solution en interne, avec Erwan Steff et Sébastien Josse, s'étant imposée pour lui succéder. Ce dernier détaille en quoi consiste son rôle, avec notamment comme priorité la mise en place du nouveau projet Imoca. Armel Le Cléac'h raconte au passage comment Banque Populaire a décidé de revenir en Imoca et comment le choix de Loïs Berrehar a été fait.Nous ouvrons ensuite la page Ultim, le skipper de Banque Populaire XI explique les modifications effectuées l'hiver dernier sur le trimaran, en particulier l'arrivée de nouveaux foils destinés à faire décoller le bateau plus tôt, il se montre plutôt satisfait des résultats, même s'il attend confirmation en confrontation, d'où son impatience de s'élancer sur le Fastnet.Un Fastnet sur lequel le Team Banque Populaire alignera un équipage de sept marins, avec notamment quelques renforts de choix en les personnes de Sam Goodchild, Thierry Chabagny et Nicolas Lunven. Les deux marins racontent leurs souvenirs de Fastnet, notamment de la dernière édition, avec une sortie du Solent dans 25 nœuds de face qui aura nécessité une vingtaine de virements de bord !Ils évoquent également la concurrence qui les attend, sur cette course, mais également en vue de la Transat Café L'Or, le grand objectif de la saison d'un duo qui n'est autre que le tenant du titre. Ce 220e épisode de Pos. Report reçoit Franck Cammas pour commenter son actualité chargée, entre Course des Caps sur l'Imoca Holcim PRB tout juste terminée à la troisième place, et navigations à partir de mercredi sur l'Ultim SVR Lazartigue.Il commence par raconter comment, sur une proposition de Sébastien Col, le team manager, il a intégré le team Holcim PRB en vue de The Ocean Race Europe, l'objectif prioritaire de la saison. La Course des Caps, qui n'était au départ pas au programme, s'est avérée riche d'enseignements pour l'équipage composé pour l'occasion, en plus de notre invité, de Nicolas Lunven, Alan Roberts, Annemieke Bes et Anne Beaugé (OBR).On refait ensuite le match de ce tour des îles britanniques avec Franck Cammas qui explique que dans certaines conditions, Holcim PRB a souffert de la comparaison en vitesse avec ses rivaux, Macif Santé Prévoyance (Sam Goodchild), Association Petits Princes-Quéguiner (Elodie Bonafous) et Vulnerable (Thomas Ruyant). Deuxième au Fastnet et quatrième au nord de l'Ecosse, Holcim PRB a finalement pris la troisième place au prix d'une grosse bataille de virements de bord avec Association Petits Princes-Quéguiner et après avoir déploré une casse au niveau du bout-dehors.On ouvre ensuite une page Ultim, Franck Cammas revenant sur son intégration au sein du team SVR Lazartigue, au point qu'il a récemment été nommé directeur de la performance, avec l'objectif d'accompagner Tom Laperche jusqu'à la Route du Rhum 2026 et d'optimiser le plan VPLP, notamment pour répondre au futur Gitana 18 quand ce dernier sera lancé l'automne prochain.On termine cet épisode en évoquant la recherche de partenaires de notre invité en vue du Vendée Globe 2028, qui l'a d'ores et déjà contraint à modifier ses échéances. Peut-on, dans une même vie, boucler un Vendée Globe ET un mandat de parlementaire européen ? Oui, et une seule femme l'a fait, Catherine Chabaud.Sa passion au départ, est d'abord maritime et singulièrement, sous l'influence de son père, sous-marine. Mais bientôt les bateaux l'emmènent sur la mer et le virus de la régate la saisit : étudiante, au début des années 1980, puis jeune journaliste, elle multiplie les embarquements. Sans réseau, elle trouvera ses premiers convoyages via la bourse des équipiers de France Inter. Elle bouffe du mille, beaucoup, partout. Et elle est déjà une femme de projets.Avec la Mini Transat pour objectif, elle lance en 1990 la construction de son proto Berret dans le cadre d'une exposition à la Cité des sciences et de l'industrie de la Villette et trouve son premier sponsor, Whirlpool, qui va l'emmener loin. La Mini 1991 ne fait que confirmer sa passion et la saison suivante, elle enchaîne les podiums et les victoires sur le circuit 6.50 à la barre d'un plan Finot-Conq.Elle s'essaye ensuite au Figaro pour deux saisons puis, se lance en Imoca en 1996, sur l'ancien Fujicolor de Loïck Peyron, enchaînant transat anglaise puis Québec-Saint-Malo - elle est toujours journaliste, avec le Vendée Globe en ligne de mire assez lointaine... Mais quand elle apprend que le cigare rouge de VDH est à louer, fin septembre à La Rochelle, elle joue son va-tout : autre temps, autres mœurs, on peut, à l'époque, lancer un projet Vendée Globe 6 semaines avant le départ !Elle sera donc de la troisième édition mythique du Vendée Globe, celle des tempêtes, des naufrages (Dinelli, Bullimore, Dubois) et de la disparition de Gerry Roufs. Une course qu'elle termine en 6e position, après 140 jours de mer. Et il faut écouter son émotion intacte, presque 30 ans plus tard, pour mesurer les traces qu'a laissées cette épreuve chez ceux qui y ont participé...Catherine Chabaud, désormais pro, enchaîne le circuit classique : Rhum en 1998, puis Fastnet (1ère), Course de l'Europe (2e), Transat Jacques Vabre (2e) en 1999, avec un plan Lombard neuf, qui va devenir légendaire : le Pingouin. Elle s'aligne au départ de son deuxième Vendée Globe, qui sera moins fluide que le premier - elle en parle avec franchise et sincérité - et se termine dans le dur, par un démâtage au large de l'Espagne, à quelques jours de l'arrivée.Sac à terre en 2001, elle reprend son métier de journaliste et s'engage pour la préservation des océans, multipliant les actions et les projets : la plateforme Océan et Climat, le projet Voilier du Futur, la Fondation de la mer, l'appel « L'océan, bien commun de l'Humanité »... Elle est membre du Conseil économique social et environnemental (2010-2015) puis Déléguée à la mer et au littoral au ministère de l'Environnement, de l'Énergie et de la Mer (2016-2017). Elle finit par céder aux sirènes du politique en 2019, en étant élue au Parlement européen jusqu'en 2024 - non sans avoir, au milieu de son mandat, participé à la Route du Rhum sur son cigare rouge !Et maintenant ? Il aura 40 ans le 11 août, quelques jours avant le départ de la Solitaire du Figaro, à Rouen, sa ville natale. Est-ce un signe ? Alexis Loison se dit "un peu superstitieux, mais moins que d'autres". Pas au point de croire au mauvais œil, celui qui le poursuivrait, lui qui vise, pour sa 18e participation, la victoire dans la prochaine édition.Pourquoi un tel acharnement, alors que les figaristes d'aujourd'hui restent moins longtemps que leurs glorieux aînés, qui consentaient à quitter le circuit au bout d'une dizaine d'années pour beaucoup d'entre eux ? Parce qu'il aime cette course, tout simplement.Une passion qui le tient depuis son plus jeune âge : un virus transmis par son père et les croisières familiales depuis Cherbourg, le port d'attache des Loison. puis les courses du Rorc, le Laser, le First Class 8, le Figaro 1 avec Alexandre Toulorge... Lycéen, il rêve de Figaro., pas de Route du Rhum ou de Vendée Globe !Il plonge enfin dans le grand bain en 2006, à l'occasion du départ de la Solitaire depuis Cherbourg : et c'est parti pour 17 participations consécutives - avec juste une pause en 2022. Il lui faudra six éditions pour rentrer dans le top 10, quand, enfin, après des années de vaches maigres, il décroche un vrai sponsor - Fiva - et entre au Pôle Finistère course au large. Ce 158e épisode de Pos. Report reçoit William Mathelin-Moreaux et Erwan Le Draoulec pour évoquer la Niji 40, nouvelle transat en équipage de trois réservée à la Class40, qui s'élance le dimanche 7 avril de Belle-Ile-en-Mer à destination de Marie-Galante, à laquelle les deux marins vont participer.Avant de parler de la course, nous revenons avec eux sur leur saison 2023, la première à la barre d'Everial pour Erwan Le Draoulec, qui a succédé à Stan Thuret et signé de bons résultats, avec notamment une victoire sur le Fastnet et une quatrième place sur la Transat Jacques Vabre avec Tanguy Leglatin. Une Transat Jacques Vabre malheureusement très brève pour William Mathelin-Moreaux qui a dû abandonner avec Pietro Luciani dès la première nuit à bord du 184 Dékuple, plan VPLP lancé en 2022.Cette année, ce dernier repart sur un nouveau bateau, plan Gianluca Guelfi mis à l'eau le 15 mars dernier, il nous explique ce choix et ce qu'il en attend, tandis qu'Erwan Le Draoulec détaille les qualités de son Pogo S4 (plan Guillaume Verdier), particulièrement performant au portant VMG. Il avait construit ce dont beaucoup de coureurs rêvent : un vrai projet, adossé à une belle cause, une équipe solide, des sponsors fidèles et 15 années de carrière. Mais un peu avant 40 ans, Tanguy de Lamotte a décidé de changer de vie, "parce que c'était le bon moment" et "parce que je savais que je voulais faire autre chose". Alors, après une dernière Transat Jacques Vabre avec Sam Davies, en 2017, il a confié la barre de son Imoca à la Britannique et le projet à David Sineau, jusque-là team manager, et a pris le chemin de San Francisco avec femme et enfants, où il travaille désormais dans les bateaux électriques. Avant, il y a eu un parcours étonnant, avec la rencontre avec un prof de gym du lycée Hoche, à Versailles, ex cador du 470, qui lui fait découvrir la voile et lui ouvre son réseau, puis l'école d'architecture de Southampton. Mais contrairement à beaucoup de Français qui y suivent le cursus, il ne rentre pas au pays et fait ses gammes comme préparateur auprès de marins anglo-saxons, comme Ellen MacArthur et Brian Tomphson. Son objectif est de dessiner des bateaux, pas forcément de courir. S'il se lance dans la Mini en proto (courue en 2005), c'est pour prouver que son coup de crayon vaut le coup ; s'il enchaîne en Class40 ensuite, même chose. Les saisons s'enchaînent sans crier gare, il participe au lancement de Karver, multiplie les titres (Mondial, Fastnet, Normandy Channel Race, Solidaire du Chocolat...) et rencontre au cours de ces années son sponsor Initiatives. A l'issue de son contrat, ils réfléchissent à la suite et c'est Franck Vallée, patron d'Initiatives, qui lui suggère le Vendée Globe. Ce n'est qu'après une mûre réflexion qu'il acceptera de se lancer dans une aventure qui va "changer sa vie". A son retour, il enchaîne sur un nouveau cycle de 4 ans, change deux fois de bateaux mais doit abandonner son second Vendée Globe après quelques jours de course, après la perte de sa tête de mât. Et depuis ? "Pas de regrets", Tanguy de Lamotte, qui suit ses anciens collègues depuis la baie de San Francisco : "C'est une autre aventure !". Peu connu du grand public, il a pourtant usé ses fonds de ciré sur quantité de bateaux, quantité de projets, avec quantité de skippers. Car le marin des Abers, très attaché à cette côte nord du Finistère dont il est originaire, a construit sa carrière avant tout sur les courses en équipage : courses du Rorc, Coupe de l'America, Whitbread, Trophée Jules Verne, Jacques Caraës a une expérience rare, en monocoque comme en multicoque, en particulier sur la plage avant, où il fût un équipier très recherché, tant pour ses compétences que pour ses qualités humaines. Passé aussi, comme beaucoup, par la Mini-Transat et le Figaro, "Jacquot", comme ses amis l'appellent, a entamé, depuis 2007, une seconde carrière de directeur de course : Solitaire du Figaro, Barcelona World Race, et, depuis 2016, Vendée Globe. Welcome to the second edition of the FNI Wrap Chat Podcast Fastnet Film Festival special, this is the second of two, which we recorded live from our lovely campervan provided by Rambling Rover.ie at the Fastnet Film Festival in Schull in West Cork. In this second episode, we've an interview with the lovely Actor Moya Farrelly on the run-up to the 25th Anniversary of her feature Film This is my Father also featuring Aidan Quinn and John Cusack. We also spotlight some up-and-coming talent you should watch out for in the near future. Moya's Screen appearances include Fiona Kinsella in SINGLE-HANDED, Sorcha Buckley in JACK TAYLOR: THE PIKEMEN, Previous film and television credits include the lead role of Eileen in FIRST COMMUNION DAY, directed by John Dower for the BBC, Sally Lyons in BACHELORS WALK; Andrea in MESSAGGI QUASI SEGRETI, directed by Valerio Jalongo, BRAVEHEART, directed by Mel Gibson. Director Jamie O'Rourke's first short, Scrap, is still on the festival circuit, was nominated for an IFTA in 2022, and screened at the 2023 Clermont-Ferrand International Film Festival and has played at festivals around the world. His second film, Calf, funded by Screen Ireland/Virgin Media had its World Premiere at The Dublin International Film Festival in February 2023 and will screen at AA/EFA qualifying Odense IFF in Denmark in Aug 2023. Shane Serrano is an award winning Director & Cinematographer from Limerick. Through his production company, Crude Media, Shane has been directing and producing for over 10 years, working on over 130 music videos for artists. Many of his films have been selected by acclaimed film festivals globally, including the Newport Beach Film Festival, Irish Film London, Galway Film Fleadh, DIFF, Berlin International Art Film Festival and Chicago Irish Film Festival. In 2019 he was the recipient of an Award for Outstanding Contribution to Film in Limerick, at the Richard Harris International Film Festival. Tania Notaro is an exciting screenwriter, director and actor from Dublin. Her comedy drama TV series Cabaret Cartel is currently in development as part of Screen Ireland's Spotlight scheme. She has just completed her first short Glitterbug as writer/director and her visually arresting short film Postpartum (See on theVirgin Media Player Now!) She was selected to take part in the Eureka Series Programme 2022 at the Series Mania Institute. She has a 1st class Master's degree in Screenwriting, NFT/IADT with a scholarship from Warner Brothers and later selected by the Warner Brothers Creative Talent Team as an exceptional artist and one-to-watch. Johnny is an award winning actor, writer and director who has been involved in film and drama for the best part of two decades. He has written and directed such comedy films as The Legend of Harry and Ambrose, Aftermath and The Blizzards behind the music. In 2021 his comedy pilot "Cancelled" won best comedy pilot at the Austin after dark comedy festival. He can be seen later this year in Maurice O'Carroll's brilliant new feature Swing bout. Michael O'Hara is an actor, award winning writer, producer and director of animation, live action and documentary. His production company Waking Dream Productions is known for Talent Drivers (2019), Donuts, People and Their Dreams (1993) and Mr Happy (2006). Ce 102e épisode de Pos. report est une nouvelle fois consacré à The Ocean Race, dont le départ de la première étape entre Alicante et le Cap Vert, a été donné le dimanche 15 janvier, en compagnie de deux navigatrices qui participent à cette 14e édition de la course autour du monde en équipage par étapes, même si elles ne sont pas en mer sur cette étape initiale : Justine Mettraux (11th Hour Racing Team) et Anne-Claire Le Berre (Guyot Environnement-Team Europe). Toutes les deux commencent par décrire comment elles ont suivi le départ, depuis Lorient, après avoir chacune passé plusieurs jours à Alicante. Anne-Claire Le Berre raconte ensuite comment, après avoir “tapé à la porte” de quasiment toutes les équipes disputant The Ocean Race, elle a fini par recevoir tardivement un coup de fil de Benjamin Dutreux et Sébastien Simon pour intégrer l'équipe franco-allemande en remplacement d'Annie Lush sur la deuxième étape. Elle poursuit en expliquant pourquoi, après huit ans au sein du team Initiatives Coeur de Sam Davies, elle a choisi de céder à l'appel de la course et du large, avec pour objectif d'être au départ en 2026 de la Route du Rhum en Class40. Une transat retour du Brésil en 2019 sur l'ancien Imoca de Sam Davies et une saison en demie en classe Mini (5e de la Mini Transat 2021 en série) l'ont convaincue que c'était le bon moment pour se lancer, Justine Mettraux estimant que les années Transat Jacques Vabre sont souvent propices pour trouver des opportunités de navigation. Cette dernière explique de son côté que son engagement sur The Ocean Race a un peu changé depuis qu'elle a lancé en juin dernier son propre projet Imoca avec Teamwork, elle va du coup se partager le tour du monde avec l'Italienne Francesca Clapcich, “un bon équilibre” pour la Suissesse qui disputera les étapes 2, 3 et 5. Elle revient ensuite sur la préparation de 11th Hour Racing Team, équipe, qui, contrairement aux quatre autres également focalisées sur le Vendée Globe, d'où leur participation à la Route du Rhum 2022, a fait de The Ocean Race son objectif principal. Anne-Claire Le Berre raconte ses premiers pas au sein de l'équipe Guyot Environnement-Team Europe à l'occasion d'un convoyage entre Barcelone et Alicante et la découverte d'un bateau que Justine Mettraux connaît bien, puisqu'il appartenait auparavant à 11th Hour Racing Team et qu'elle a pris le départ à son bord de la dernière Transat Jacques Vabre. Après avoir parlé chacune de leurs objectifs respectifs sur la course autour du monde en équipage, les deux navigatrices évoquent leurs projets personnels respectifs : pour Justine Mettraux, brillante septième de la dernière Route du Rhum sur Teamwork (ex Charal 1), ce sera la poursuite du projet Vendée Globe aux côtés de l'équipe BeYou Racing, avec au programme de 2023 le Fastnet, le Défi Azimut et la Transat Jacques Vabre. Anne-Claire Le Berre, qui a participé l'automne dernier à la sélection Skipper Macif, remportée par Charlotte Yven, se dit de son côté “ouverte à différentes opportunités”, espérant notamment prendre le départ de deux transats en 2023 : la Transat Paprec, mixte, si un co-skipper la contacte, la Jacques Vabre en fin d'année.
