Tune in on Monday, 1/23/23 at 6:30am EST, for a brand new episode of The Doctor Whisperer Show featuring PR Expert, Lisa Simone Richards! https://www.instagram.com/lisasimonerichards/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/lisasimonerichards/ ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ ABOUT OUR GUEST: "Doctors who want to become nationally recognized media experts work with me to grow both their personal brand and grow their practices. My clients become sought-after, regularly-featured experts in the media and build award-winning practices, magnetically attracting their perfect clients. After 20+ years helping brands like Staples, Virgin Mobile, and Crayola build worldwide recognition, truthfully, I got bored. And I saw so many talented professionals branching out on their own who needed access to those same strategies in order to grow their own impact and income. I wanted to share these PR strategies that had been reserved exclusively for international, multi-million dollar businesses with up-and-coming subject matter experts building their own practices. In just a matter of months (sometimes even weeks!), my clients build their expert authority status, getting featured on Forbes, CNBC, FOX, Inc., MSN, Yahoo, and hundreds of other major media outlets. Without even ‘pitching' themselves for media opportunities, my clients have invitations landing in their inbox - interviews, stages, and other chances for exposure just fall into their lap, thanks to their reputation as a sought-after industry expert. When I'm not at work, you can find me playing in the kitchen (still perfecting beef wellington!), petting ALL the dogs in the park, and watching way too many fashion styling videos on YouTube." ▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎ T︎hank you to our show sponsors, REVA Global MD and In This Together LIVE. Learn how to get your brand story on TV by listening to this 8-Second Branding Podcast interview with CEO, Founder and Marketer Mariya Palanjian (Roma Leaf and GlobaFly) about how she used Host Liz H. Kelly's Award-Winning 8-Second PR book to get over $50,000 in publicity from one television interview for her new company, Roma Leaf. While Mariya admits she was hesitant to read another marketing book, she was pleasantly surprised that Liz gave away all her PR secrets with step-by-step instructions, case study examples and templates. Mariya then shares how she used the tips in 8-Second PR to land a feature interview on FOX 11 Los Angeles that was over three minutes, and aired twice. And as a result, the interview led to more media, product sales and more sponsors for her company and Wellness Workshop. The top three things that Mariya found helpful in this public relations book were how to develop “your story, the media hook, and a concise pitch.” Liz profusely thanks Mariya for her kind words, and shares “breaking news” that 8-Second PR has a 2nd edition coming out February 8, 2022 (yellow cover), via Paperback and eBook that includes Mariya's testimonial and 20 new PR strategies for a post-pandemic world – with the goal to help you get media interviews for your brand and take it to the next level. starting to do pottery 2 years ago, that her Future Self was leading her to where she wanted to go, and how her Future Self has helped her have all of the pieces in place to have the opportunities she wants. 16:42: Cassie talks about how Jeanne had to learn to speak to clients before she could be on tv, and how once she was ready, the inspiration came to reach out to the tv station. 17:20: Jeanne how it is all a gift to get her message out. 24:06: Cassie talks about how Jeanne's words come from doing the work to connect with her Future Self and her Future Clients. 24:28: Cassie talks about how being on tv isn't the end all be all and that it is just part of what Jeanne does. 24:42: Cassie talks about how the Menopause Guru is who Jeanne is. 24:52: Cassie asks Jeanne what would have been different if she would have ended up on tv a year ago. 25:25: Jeanne talks about how she doesn't care what the outcome she gets from being on tv is; she knows that she is in alignment with what she does and that her goal is to educate, and that is what she is doing. 27:06: Cassie loves seeing Jeanne own what she does. 27:16: Cassie talks about how Jeanne building the business this way has set her up to support fast, significant growth in her business. 27:40: Jeanne talks about how the clients coming into her world are a reflection of the work Jeanne is doing to change the world. 27:59: Cassie asks Jeanne where people can connect with her. 28:14: Jeanne gives her website http://menopause.coach/

Hey there, beautiful soul family. As you know, I strive to bring you amazing guests with tales of beating the odds and whose will and mindset are a testament to great faith. Seeing others walk before us helps to motivate us in the areas where we struggle, which is why I love having a wide variety of inspirational guests. Today we are talking about marketing. How to go from the little fish in a big pond to the big whopper. Meet Christina Daves Christina Daves is a repeatedly successful entrepreneur, award-winning inventor, best-selling author, and infectiously energetic speaker. She has sought out opportunities in event planning, land development, retail, and fashion and pursued them with the work ethic that makes her an inspiration. As many business owners know, starting out small leaves little money for marketing. With a fledgling business and a running clock, Christina developed the PR skills in under one year to launch herself and her company into national recognition. Through her two best selling books, The DIY Guide to FREE Publicity and PR For Anyone, and her constant speaking appearances, Christina aids owners and employees to take the small steps required to see success and seize it. A Change of Mindset Christina shared an inspiring story of hope and endurance when she missed her opportunity to be on Shark Tank that would have catapulted her sales and turned her business into a success. And while she did battle with despair for 5 months, her belief in herself and her product helped change her mindset. She was convinced that everything would work itself out. How to Get on TV Christina may have missed the chance to be on Shark Tank, but she wasn't finished yet. She had a thirst to crack the code to marketing and learn all she could about PR. She figured out the secret of how to get TV appearances, how to get your name in the media, and expand your platform. Learning that secret helped her win $20,000 in the inventor competition on the Steve Harvey show. Today she is a huge success, and it started with a missed opportunity on Shark Tank. 5 Tips for How to Improve Your Public Relations [15.20] 1) You have to be "famous" in your industry [16:30] 2) Start small. Look to print media first, and then it's easier to pitch television. [20:05] 3) Start local. Find your local personality anchors and reporters to reach out to and cultivate a relationship with. [21:27] 4) Know how the media operates and do your homework on local segments that are relevant to your work. Always see how you can add value to the audience. [21:54] 5) Research what is being covered and where you might be able to share your gifts and be of service and value to their show. Final Thoughts Christina reminds us that you have to be willing to do the work and invest time in yourself and your business, but you can never be afraid to ask. When pitching yourself and your business, you have to get comfortable pitching to different media outlets. And while you may sometimes hear rejections, nobody wants to see you fail. Adopt that mindset, and it will all work out! They discuss the origins of the show in college, the 15-year journey it took to get on television, and the most ridiculous joke they put into Season 2 (which just premiered on Adult Swim). You’ll also learn: *The unconventional way Tigtone is animated using live-action faces *The underlying motive Benjamin and Andrew had to pursue Tigtone for so long *Their number one piece of advice for aspiring series creators. ~[Sponsored Message]~ This episode is sponsored by Bloop Animation, which is an animation learning platform packed with premium online video courses for aspiring animation filmmakers. They have courses for all major animation programs like Maya, Animate CC, Toon Boom, Blender, TVPaint, and many others, as well as some non-software courses like a storyboarding course, Animation foundations course, and even one about making graphic novels, which covers absolutely everything you need to know from start to finish. The courses are all in video-form, so there’s no deadlines or application process, you simply pick a course and start learning in seconds. In fact, they just released a brand new course teaching how to animate Moho. Moho, formerly known as Anime Studio, is a 2D animation software that's main selling point is its ability to easily build and animate with rigged puppet characters. On the show, we've asked several of ours guests a particular question when we know they've had the answer. And that question is simply this "How did you get on TV?"Interestingly, there's been a few different answers. But the one thing which was common between all of them was that they had a compelling story. The other part was that they networked into the spot. Now, I get what that means. It means that you either found someone you knew who knew the person you were trying to connect with. Or, you randomly connected with someone who could get you on. One's a little more intentional, however, both have the same result. However, what if you don't know where to start in doing that? Sure, there's courses that can teach you how to network with the right people. But wouldn't it be easier if you could just reach out to someone who could help?If you believe you're looking for that kind of person, then today's guest is someone you should connect with.Sabrina Santucci has the network and the skillset to help you on local TV and potentially help you go national. As she says, there's different strategies for each.Listen in as Veronica and I learn more about the key things we need to keep in mind as we look to get on TV.Enjoy! I have a huge guest on this edition of Squared Circle Pit, Eric Bischoff – the guy who ran the show in WCW during its heyday. We talk about licensing music for the nWo, what the conclusion of the nWo angle was supposed to be, working with KISS, his plans for the WCW Big Bang PPV that wasn't and we get really deep into why it's so hard to get television clearance for a wrestling company that isn't WWE. It's an absolutely fascinating listen if you're a wrestling fan, and even if you're not. Eric is going to be appearing at the inaugural Astronomicon, a pop culture convention taking place in metro Detroit at the Wyndham Garden in Sterling Heights, MI (34911 Van Dyke) from Friday, February 9 thru Sunday, February 11. I little bit about our guest today and his road to become an expert in helping his clients book appearances on local and National TV News and Talk shows. Clint lived 2009 as if it was going to be the last year of his life. He lost 40-lbs. (and has maintained that weight-loss), built a factory which allowed his business to thrive during The Great Recession and beyond, wrote his book about timeless lessons he learned at Wharton (which would become his first bestseller,) and revived his crumbling marriage. All of this reaffirmed wisdom he learned at Wharton about being a well-rounded, healthy, happy, self-expressed person, and led Clint in the direction of Local TV Publicity, where he has since appeared on 75 Local and National TV News & Talk shows across America, and has helped Clients book themselves on 2526+ appearances since 2012, including Good Morning America, The Today Show, CNN, HLN, Dr. Oz, Fox Business Network, etc..
In this interview, Laura talks with Jacquie Jordan, an Emmy nominated producer and NY Times Best-Selling Publisher of the book Heartfelt Marketing: Allowing the Universe to be Your Business Parter & Get on TV and TV Guestpert. Jacquie talked about media responds not to the person but to the story. Some suggestions for people who are interested in getting booked on TV is to start local to get your chops wet. The industry likes to work with people who are teachable. Do you have enough to say and do you respond well to direction? It’s important to have a storytelling bio (not academic). To get onto a bit show you need tape and metrics, they will probably not book you if you haven’t done smaller shows first. Reach out to a local TV Station with a bio, a pitch, and a story. She also discussed that when you are dealing with gatekeepers, handle with certainty and know what you have to offer. If you get a no, try again the next day. You might get someone different when you call back. She also suggests looking at the credits to look for particular titles or people and then ask to speak with them – this is discussed in the book Get on TV so you know which titles to look for. We also discussed the importance of getting your website, social media, and communication strategies ready so that if you do get a booking, you and your business and media are ready for the traffic. Jacquie also addressed the importance of on camera training because the goal of this is to get more than one booking and in order to that, you need to do well and have practice. If you just have a one-off, it doesn’t have lasting power. Laura talked about playing the long game versus giving up if you do not have traction or success quickly. You can find out more about Jacquie and TV Guestpert on their website www.tvguestpert.com. You can also email jjordan@tvguestpert.com and follow Jacquie on twitter @TVguestpert.
