On this week of the MalloryBros Podcast, the Bros start a little different by diving head first into topics starting with the SINNERS 2 Tom Cruise Buzz going around, They talk about their favorite FILMS with TWIST ENDINGS. Terrell poses a ONE GOTTA GO: Pizza, Wings, Burgers or Fries. They talk about PROM getting crazy pricey and clout searching and that conversation leads to the viral REDDIT question about prioritizing Kids Events over your partner. The Bros get into a small debate about this. Finally the Bros, dive into the viral "Accountability and Programming" clip from Deante Kyle of the Grits & Eggs Podcast and talk about the difference between accountability, pandering, and how Podcasting or public speaking specifically can blur messages and unintentionally cause chaos. It's been a huge month for red carpets, with events like the Met Gala and the Cannes Film Festival serving as season closers where celebrities and stylists really bring their A game. This week, Alyssa is joined by Eliza Brooke to really nerd out about the stylist, talent, and brand partnerships that fuel the red carpet machine. This is our version of sports, and while some of you are locked into the NBA Playoffs, we're focused on a different kind of bracket: which star has a contract with which luxury brand, what celebrity quietly traded their stylist for another, which stylist stole an MVP client from a peer, and so on. Tune in to hear their thoughts on the most exciting talent and stylist pairings in the game right now; what it takes for a duo to really make magic on the red carpet; the behind-the-scenes sponsorships and brand deals that are required to pay the bills; the magazine editor to celebrity stylist pipeline; YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok as the new launching pads for stylists' careers; the intimacy of a stylist/client relationship; what happens when there's a public falling out or switch-up in the styling world; how celebrities decide on a new aesthetic direction when they're entering a new era; the tragedy of a brand ambassadorship that's a bad fit; the rising stars on the styling scene to keep an eye on, and much more. This episode was recorded in the podcast studio at The SQ @ 205 Hudson. In this hilariously unfiltered AMA episode, Cyrus and Shamik tackle the truly important questions of our time. With the rail budget going up, should we expect trains to finally run on time—or just more confident announcements? They debate what one really needs to survive a 4 km walk to a Guns N’ Roses concert: water, willpower, or a cardboard cutout of Slash. There’s talk of a potential Hera Pheri: South Bombay Edition, a suggestion that Neeraj Chopra might just double as a missile launcher, and whether Uorfi Javed’s Cannes moment has emotionally prepared us for her Met Gala debut. Plus, is the $3500 iPhone actually just an “iLoan” now? Should AppleCare come with financial counselling? And with the IPL being rained out left and right, is it time to rename it the Indian Puddle League—or just switch to water polo? All this and more, on a rain-soaked, tech-broke, fashion-forward episode of Cyrus Says.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
NOTE: This week's episode may not be easy to listen to, and it may make people uncomfortable. But it's important. If we want to unpack our misogyny, we must also unpack our racism. Please listen with an open mind and heart. Recently, a creator called the White Woman Whisperer made a video about how white women are often the "nice guys" of women. While this may be hard to hear, in the episode, we break down why it's quite accurate. Our guest this week is Jamila Bradley, an incredible creator, activist, and proud person of color who was criticized after posting a video about the Met Gala. And these attacks weren't coming just from strangers. They were coming from the very women who called themselves allies. These white women were happy to engage and support Jamila's feminist content. But the second Jamila brought race into the conversation, these "allies" became adversaries. A feeling all too familiar for Jamila and other people of color. JAMILA'S LINKS Linktree Youtube

When the Liberty Basketball team won the WNBA national championship last year, Breanna Stewart wasn't sure anyone would really come to the “Canyon of Heroes” ticker tape parade. But as Stewart's float turned a corner, thousands of cheering fans came into full view to no one's (except Stewart's) surprise! It's clear that the fandom around the WNBA, and the Liberty Basketball team, has reached fever pitch. In today's episode of The Run Through, Vogue's Digital Style Director Leah Faye Cooper and Fashion Writer Hannah Jackson talk to Stewart, aka Stewie, in the Barclays arena days after the team's home opener. They discuss Stewie's experience at the Met Gala, what it's like to be a bonafide Basketball star, and ask who is really behind the famous Ellie the Elephant Liberty mascot. Every spring, on the first Monday in May, an incredible transformation takes place on Fifth Avenue in New York City. The streets overflow with cars and people. A staircase becomes a red carpet. And a museum becomes a full-on party, filled with a select few of the biggest names in pop culture and the fashion industry. Spectators all around the world stop for this one moment all asking the very same question: “Did you see what they were wearing?” The Met Gala is fashion at full volume. A place where ideas come to life in silk, sequins, and sometimes… steel. At its core, it's a fundraiser; but it's also a veritable stage performance, a runway, and a virtual cone of silence for each attendee that mostly follow a strict no phone policy. The secrecy around what goes on inside, and the exclusive, hand-picked guest selection process are the fuel to this most envied of annual fashion events. Luckily for us, as friends of Anna Wintour — who's been organizing the event since 1995 — Nordstrom often gets the highly coveted invite. And luckily for you, this year, we've decided to bring the Nordy Pod along with us. Joining us at the Met this year is someone who's become a fairly regular voice on the podcast, and who is certainly a well-seasoned, longtime Met Gala attendee; our VP, Fashion Director at Nordstrom, Rickie De Sole. Also along for the ride is a super talented and up-and-coming fashion designer by the name of Rachel Scott of Diotima, who was just last year awarded the CFDA Fashion Award for American Womenswear Designer. We've recently started carrying her brand at Nordstrom, and she actually designed the dress that Rickie's wearing to the Met. We'll also learn more about the theme for this year's gala, which is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, from our Mens Fashion Director at Nordstrom, Jian Deleon. Join us for fashion's most spellbinding night. A high-octane collision of creativity, celebrity, and fashion. Who's in attendance? Who's best dressed? Who stole the show? We'll answer these questions, and more, as the Nordy Pod goes to the Met. Thanks for tuning in to episode 87. We hope you enjoy it! Did you know that YOU can be on The Nordy Pod? This show isn't just a one-way conversation. We want to hear about what Nordstrom looks like through your eyes. Share your Nordstrom experience, good or bad, by giving us a call and leaving a voicemail at: 206.594.0526, or send an email to nordypodcast@nordstrom.com to be a part of the conversation! And, be sure to follow us on Instagram @thenordypod to stay up to date on new episodes, announcements and more.
We're coming at you from the 35th floor of the Virgin Hotel in NYC, and this episode is a wild ride! We are in the Big Apple for a Webby Awards event (spoiler: Erin didn't win, blame the bots), and it's been a rollercoaster of influencer overload. Erin braved the first day solo, navigating Penn Station all alone and struggling to find the hotel. "LA" type influencers were everywhere making Erin feel uncomfortable...Think prom dresses and 20 take photo shoots. Mike swooped in for day two, and we tackled Adobe Photoshop activations, ate a Flaming Hot Cheeto cupcake (it's… spicy?), and vibed with Jools LeBron ("very demure” queen) on turning her viral moment into a brand. We also ran into @effinbirds who snagged Erin's Webby. Erin rants about the Met Gala and is obsessed with the wheeled curtain that hides the celebrities outfits. On the train home, we bonded with Noah, an AI startup genius with a scooter and breakup stories that kept us hooked. Plus, a No Bad, No Sad moment: Noah says AI could lead to a utopia, not a dystopia.Listen now and leave a 5-star review!
The best way to listen to Book of the Month LIVE is in our app. Author and fashion designer Prabal Gurung stepped out of the Met Gala and into our headquarters to discuss his new memoir, Walk Like a Girl. He also spilled about what really goes on behind the scenes on fashion's biggest night, and revealed his most iconic role model—his powerhouse mother. From Nepal to New York, fashion icon Prabal Gurung shares his story of growing up as a queer boy, and growing into his status as a fashion legend. Get Walk Like a Girl at bookofthemonth.com. What do you get when In the News takes over the whole episode? A disorganized perfection, and we wouldn't have it any other way. This week on Wisdom from the Wardrobe, Lady P's plan was promptly disregarded like fast-fashion from last season, while the 2025 Met Gala pulled at our heartstrings. With the theme "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," and the dress code "Tailored for You," we perused the blue carpet, and we are here for every bead, button, and bespoke moment! We breakdown the best and most unforgettable looks (and unapologetically fabulous looks) and some that had wondering what happened: Shaboozey made his Met Gala debut in a turquoise wave-patterned suit, matched with turquoise grillz, and a tilted wide brim hat basically saying, "I am the owner of this carpet." Lauryn Hill looking like butter wouldn't melt in her Jude Dontoh suit that included cape, umbrella, and drama worthy collar that gave us chills. Demi Moore, black tie redefined with a beaded ensemble that was an actual necktie. Fashion pun intended and executed completely. And Colman Domingo serving royalty in Valentino and Boucheron layered with sequins, and more texture than a luxury fabric swatch book, to name just a few. If you enjoy a none too serious Met Gala recap with a side of sass and smarts, and tailored suit talk, this episode is custom made for you. Listen in for your weekly dose of style talk.

On today's episode of The Right Time, Bomani Jones reacts to the NBA playoff semifinals and NFL rookie mini-camp beginning. Bo starts off the show by saying why the Cleveland Cavaliers can still win this series vs the Indiana Pacers despite being down 3-1 (3:08) and why there isn't any semifinals series he feels has been decided yet (8:44). Bo also predicts the Boston Celtics will win their series vs the New York Knicks after their Game 3 victory at Madison Square Garden (15:45). Bo rounds out his NBA talk by saying neither Nikola Jokic or Shai-Gilgeous Alexander have been playing like MVP candidates (26:08). Shifting gears to the NFL, Bo says why a different Shedeur Sanders showed up to Browns mini-camp (32:27) and that he will eventually start games for Cleveland this season (43:27).
