We had a chance to listen to Mosab Hassan Youcef`s address to the European parliament, and Tim learns for the first time the truth about the “Palestinian cause”. We were assisted by some strong beverages afterwards, to wash away the depression the whole thing caused us. Israel's retaliation to the ongoing attacks from Hezbollah were obviously expected, but the scale of the destruction of their rocket-firing foe has fuelled the ongoing debate on proportional response. Israel's pager attack took everyone by surprise, and over the last 48 hours, almost the entire command structure of Hezbollah have been killed; including Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah. Now, Israel is apparently planning a ‘limited incursion' into southern Lebanon, and the collateral suffering of the civilian population doesn't seem likely to dissuade them.To analyse this expanding conflict, Piers Morgan talks to the ex–Palestinian militant who defected to Israel, Mosab Hasan Yousef, Palestinian-American Middle East analyst Omar Baddar and professor at the University of Tehran, Mohammad Marandi. Mosab Hassan Yousef is the son of the Hamas co-founder. Mosab was a Palestinian militant who fled to Israel in 1997, where he worked as an Israeli spy. Mosab was then considered to be one of Israel's most valuable intel sources on Hamas, and Mosab provided information which allowed Israel to stop dozens of Hamas suicide attacks and prevent the assassinations of many Israelis. Mosab's efforts also contributed to the incarceration of his father. The Son of Hamas Co-Founder, Mosab Hassan Youssef, also known as "The Green Prince," is back for Part 2 of his gripping conversation; exposing the brutal reality behind Hamas. Youssef, once at the heart of Hamas, shockingly reveals how his father remains morally complicit in terrorism, validating and justifying the atrocities committed in the name of resistance. He delves into the ideological decay within Hamas, from its founding 36 years ago to its most horrific act on October 7th, detailing how the group's romanticized vision of "resistance" has turned into a grotesque campaign of violence, rape, and genocide.Youssef also confronts the chilling truth about the mass support for Hamas among Gazans, despite the group's destructive impact on their own people. He also explores the deep divisions within the Islamic world, the hypocrisy of neighboring Arab states, and the impossible prospects for peace in a society that glorifies such extreme violence. Youssef's personal journey from the heart of Hamas to becoming a spy for Israel is a powerful testament to the human capacity for change, but it also raises deeply unsettling questions about the nature of evil, loyalty, and the future of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the greater Middle East. #hamas #israelhamaswar #israelattacktoday #hezbollah #gazaunderattack #gaza #westbank #iran #hamasvsisrael #standwithisrael #radicalislam #terrorism #jihad #muslimbrotherhood #palestine #palestinian #islamic #allah #israeli #israelattack #spy #undercover

Piers Morgan continues his coverage on the tragic conflict in Palestine and Israel by taking Israeli Spokesman, Avi Hyman, to task on the operations of the IDF. While Mr Hyman emphasises that the IDF are going to great lengths to protect civilians, Piers is shocked to hear the Israeli Spokesman has official numbers on the amount of Hamas fighters killed, but has no similar data on the death toll for civilians. Piers rightfully presses Mr Hyman on this point, who seemingly cannot respond.Piers then turns to Abby Martin and Mosab Hasan Yousef for their perspectives on what Mr Hyman had to say, and the debate soon becomes personal. Abby calls Mosab "a Palestinian who hates Palestinians" and he responds in kind by saying "Abby is a self-appointed, low-grade journalist". Both contributors lay accusations of supporting violence at the feet of the other.YouTube: @PiersMorganUncensoredX: @PiersUncensoredTikTok: @piersmorganuncensoredInsta: @piersmorganuncensored Hosted on Acast. There is nothing more valuable in understanding someone else's perspective than actually allowing them to share it. If you want to know the truth about Israel and Gaza as well as the uprising on our campuses listen to the son of the Hamas co-founder as interviewed by Jordan Peterson.
Dr. Jordan B. Peterson sits down in person with Mosab Hassan Yousef. They discuss the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, the chaos created by Yasser Arafat, how Palestine has globalized their radical cause, Mosabs time as a prisoner, what set him free, and the far-from-paved road going forward. Mosab Hassan Yousef (born in 1978) is a Palestinian ex-militant who defected to Israel in 1997 where he worked as an undercover agent for the Shin Bet until he moved to the United States in 2007. Yousef was considered the Shin Bet's most reliable source in the Hamas leadership, earning himself the nickname "The Green Prince.” The intelligence he supplied to Israel led to the exposure of many Hamas cells, as well as the prevention of dozens of suicide bombings and assassination attempts on Jews. Yousef's father is Sheikh Hassan Yousef, a co-founder of Hamas. - Links - 2024 tour details can be found here https://jordanbpeterson.com/events Peterson Academy https://petersonacademy.com/ For Mosab Hassan Yousef: On X https://twitter.com/MosabHasanYOSEF?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor “Son of Hamas: A Gripping Account of Terror, Betrayal, Political Intrigue, and Unthinkable Choices” (book) https://www.amazon.com/Son-of-Hamas-Mosab-Hassan-Yousef-audiobook/dp/B006PJC4H2/?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_w=PheAV&content-id=amzn1.sym.cf86ec3a-68a6-43e9-8115-04171136930a&pf_rd_p=cf86ec3a-68a6-43e9-8115-04171136930a&pf_rd_r=138-3764402-1287437&pd_rd_wg=fLHUm&pd_rd_r=8445617a-f7bd-45ef-bcff-98e77e6b26f5&ref_=aufs_ap_sc_dsk

Since then, over 33,000 Palestinians have been killed as a result of Israel's bombing campaign and ground invasion of Gaza, nearly 14,000 of whom are children. The renowned Gazan poet Mosab Abu Toha joins Edgar today for a discussion about what it means to grow up in what Masha Gessen likens to a Nazi concentration camp. We begin this hour with Putin's political pawns, and the dangerous hostage diplomacy at play in the Kremlin. It's now a year since the Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich became the first American journalist detained on espionage charges since the Cold War. Evgenia Kara-Murza, the wife of jailed Russian dissident Vladimir Kara-Murza, discusses the fight to free Russia's political prisoners. In a significant sign of growing dissent inside the Biden camp over the Gaza crisis, US State Department staffer Annelle Sheline resigned in protest this week. She tells Christiane why her job to advocate for human rights had become impossible. Then, Zahiro-Shahar Mor, whose elderly uncle is still captive in Gaza, accuses the Israeli government of misleading the public, and failing the remaining hostages. Meanwhile, Elon Musk's Starlink internet satellite system has become vital to Ukrainian troops, especially its drone pilots. But now it's being used against them by Russian soldiers, who were never meant to have access to it. CNN's Nick Paton Walsh investigates how Russia appears to be bypassing US sanctions. From the Amanpour Archive this week, Christiane's 2015 interview with Gloria Steinem, whose tireless advocacy and undercover journalism made her a global feminist icon. And finally, after seeing his family's home destroyed in Gaza, and fleeing one bombing after another, Palestinian poet Mosab Abu Toha eventually found refuge in Egypt with his wife and children. Christiane asks Mosab to read a poem inspired by the life and home he left behind. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Growing up in Gaza, Mosab Abu Toha wasn't used to seeing Israeli soldiers in person. “You are bombed from the sky. You are bombed by tanks. You do not see the people, the soldiers who are killing you and your family,” he tells David Remnick. Abu Toha is a poet educated in the United States, who has contributed to The New Yorker from Gaza since Israel launched its bombardment after the October 7th Hamas attack. As Abu Toha and his family tried to flee Gaza, he was stopped by Israeli forces, taken from his wife and kids, and wrongly accused of being a Hamas activist. He describes being stripped naked and beaten in detention. “I kept saying, ‘Someone please talk to me,' ” Abu Toha recalls. After an interrogation, he was released, but with a more pessimistic view of the possibility for peace. “In Gaza, even a child who is six or three or four years old, is no longer a child. They are not living their childhood. They are not children. They are not learning how to speak English, how to draw; they're just learning how to survive,” he tells Remnick. “This future cannot be built on a land that is covered with blood and bones.”

Jim began this edition of Crosstalk with special information from the Friends of Israel. In light of the recent violence that's taken place against Israel and also the increasing antisemitism taking place here is the U.S., FOI is calling on Christians nationwide to show their support for Israel and the Jewish people. --FOI is requesting that Christians light a candle in their window at sundown on the first night of Hanukkah, December 7th, and to keep it there through sundown on December 15th. --Go to foi.org-shine and you can print a special sign and affix it to your window right next to your candle. One says, -We Support Israel- and the other says, -Shining This Light For Israel.- --We must not forget the barbarism an atrocities that took place on October 7th as Hamas, in accordance with their charter, seeks to eradicate Israel. --Perhaps the best reminder of this is to listen to 45 year old Mosab Hassan Yousef. Mosab is the son of the co-founder of Hamas. He defected from the group in the late 1990's and began secretly working with Israel's security services to expose and to prevent several terrorist attacks by Hamas. His goal is to expose the true face of Hamas and their genocidal death-call.--In a speech before the United Nations two weeks ago today, Mosab presented a very serious warning. He explained how he's seen a lot of division, confusion, hatred and misinformation, while everyone speaks on behalf of the children and the innocent. He indicated he's unsure of their real intentions, but said that he can speak on the authority of a Palestinian child because he's someone who grew up in that culture.
Y aunque increíble orar y amar a nuestros enemigos.

Mosab Hassan Youself, "The Son of Hamas," gives an unbelievable interview on The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict and exposes the truth about Hamas. Watch this whole interview from start to finish because Mosab explains in great detail how this conflict began, why it's happening, and what needs to be done for it to be resolved. A few of the questions Mosab answers are: - Can you explain what Hamas is, what it's goal is, and what it does for both the Palestinian people as well as Israel? - Does Hamas actually use it's citizens as human shields? If yes, can you explain what that practically means? Do they really conduct military operations from schools and hospitals and residential buildings? If yes, why? - Does Hamas have a "pay for slay" program, in which they pay Hamas terrorists for killing (or taking hostage) innocent Israelis? - Can you explain what those who have been brought up in the west fail to understand about the mindset and culture of those in Hamas? Why do so many in the west support it, and do you think they actually know/understand what they're supporting? - Is Israel illegally occupying Gaza and The West Bank? - Is Israel truly an apartheid state? - Is Israel trying to commit a genocide against Palestinians? - Does Israel have the right to exist? - What is the resolution to all of this? Is a two-state solution possible (or even desirable)? - What can us regular people do to improve the world and lead us toward peace? Enjoy this deluxe edition of our initial chat with 'Son of Hamas' author Mosab Hassan Yousef, featuring exclusive new insights into Israel's current events. What We Discuss with Mosab Hassan Yousef: What it was like growing up in one of the first families of Palestinian terrorist group Hamas -- and why Mosab considers it "the greatest school of [his] life." The turning point when Mosab no longer saw Hamas as the "good" guys. How Mosab dealt with the loneliness of working undercover for Israeli intelligence against his former friends and family. What Mosab feels about the well-meaning but -- he believes to be misguided -- "free Palestine" movement. What prompted Mosab to get out of undercover work and chronicle his story for others to read (and watch on television). And much more... A few references for working with gratitude this week …* Gratitude is a felt practice. It's not a cognitive list-making process, nor is it the self-satisfied reassurance that could result from surveying the relative comfort and privilege of our lives. To feel gratitude, we have to pause and allow our subject to emerge, and then we have to train our attention on presence so that our hearts can naturally enter a state of generous appreciation. Rick Hanson calls this installing the trait. We have to feel into it, again and again.* What keeps us from gratitude? To open to the presence of heart wherein gratitude is abundantly available, we must also open to grief — for they are inextricably bound. We must sense the unreal othering (Tara Brach's term) of millions of indigenous lives, as well as other, subtler layers of the season: the climate impact of travel and unbridled consumerism, the millions of trees cut down and turkeys slaughtered for the feast, the pain of those for whom the holidays magnify loneliness and loss, our personal fears and anxieties. We have to open our hearts unconditionally if we are to tap into the unspeakable thanks that is the silence beneath all noise.* First we thought, then we thanked. The word “thank” emerged from the word “think” as follows: the Old English þancian, þoncian "to give thanks, thank, to recompense, to reward," from Proto-Germanic thankōjanan (source also of Old Saxon thancon, Old Norse þakka, Danish takke, Old Frisian thankia, Old High German danchon, Middle Dutch, Dutch, German danken "to thank"), from thankoz "thought; gratitude," from root tong- "to think, feel."* In Sanskrit, Kritajna is translated as gratitude. Its roots are krita meaning “cultivated” and jna referring to “wisdom,” pointing to the practice of gratitude as a means to cultivate consciousness and wisdom.* I read yesterday that the Israeli defenses released the Palestinian poet Mosab Abu Toha after detaining him for questioning for two days. At the moment when Mosab was captured, he was walking with his family to the Rafah border crossing with Egypt in southern Gaza, for his was one of the fortunate few names on a State Department evacuation list. He was carrying his three year old son, Mustafa, on his shoulders. Here's one more thing about Mosab Abu Toha: he recently calculated that it would take him 56 years to read all the books in his library, provided he could average reading 80 books per year. Provided he could be alive and reading in his library. We love what we have, no matter how little, because if we don't, everything will be gone. If we don't,we will no longer exist, since there will be nothing here for us.What's here is something that we are stillbuilding. It's something we cannot yet see, because we are a partof it.Someday soon, this building will stand on its own, while we,we will be the trees that protect it from the fiercewind, the trees that will give shadeto children sleeping inside or playing on swings.-Mosab Abu Toha* Salah Abu Ali, who tends his family's orchards in a village on the outskirts of Bethlemen, often sleeps beneath the gnarled trunk of Al Badawi, an ancient olive tree. At 4000-5000 years old, Al Badawi is one of the oldest living trees on Earth and still produces nearly 900 pounds of olives every year. This is one definition of love.* Gumbo. Roasted chicken. Cherry kugel. Apricot rugelach. The jewels are spilling out of the freezer. My husband's 97 year old Jewish grandmother spent the past month preparing from scratch one dish per day in anticipation of hosting 20 family members for three days in her home. She would have it no other way. It's been two years since her husband, to whom she was married for 75 years, passed away.* "I believe that appreciation is a holy thing," Fred Rogers said. Loss and delight thread their way through each of our lives. We can count our days and blessings, and we can also put ourselves in the place to touch awe. We are rooted in an ancient weave and today, unfathomably, we are here. Today, we have breath in our bodies and love is here to be stewarded. Thanks comes from think. Grateful comes from grace.

These are some poems that I'm recording because they reflect how I feel most of the time.
ONE OF THE GREAT SPY STORIES OF MODERN TIMES Palestinian & Israeli. Agent & Handler. Mosab & Gonen. One became involved with Hamas almost as a birthright, his father, after all, was a founder and its spiritual leader; the other was inspired to join Shin Bet, Israel’s internal security service, after the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin in 1995, and had a father in the Israeli Army. They seemed destined for a collision course. Fate would bring them together, danger would bind them together, but it was loyalty that kept them together. A unique bond was forged between Mosab Hassan Yousef, aka “The Green Prince,” and Gonen Ben Yitzhak, aka “Captain Loai,” that is remarkably rare in agent-handler relationships. “If he could come to Israel – and I know he can’t – he would be like a member of my family,” notes the Israeli, who revealed his true identity to testify on Mosab’s behalf at an immigration hearing in San Diego. Gonen’s children, meanwhile, call the Palestinian “Uncle Yousef.” Some stories seem too far-fetched to be true. This one is both. Hopefully you can come to the International Spy Museum one day where we look at their story in one of our exhibits (in the meantime you can also stream the award-winning documentary, The Green Prince). This episode is a blast from the past, our founding Executive Director Peter Earnest was the compère, that lives on. People are people. But sometimes it is difficult to maintain one’s humanity under dehumanizing conditions. On today’s episode, we share the work of one poet in Gaza whose poems and fragments open a tiny window into the Gaza strip, where only 5% of the water is potable, there is electricity for 5 hours a day, and only 55% of the population is employed. His name is Mosab, and he has created the Edward Said Library for Gaza.

It was a rare moment in history when the nations of the world voted to give the Jewish people a homeland, but it was on the back of the Holocaust and the very traumatic and publicized events surrounding the boat “Exodus 1947”. Of course the Arab nations in the Middle East voted against the plan, and once the British had pulled out on May 15th, 1948 they attacked the newly proclaimed State of Israel. Israel however won the war and increased their territory.

Terror. Torture. By age 21, Mosab Hassan Yousef had seen it all. As the oldest son of one of the founders of the deadly terrorist group Hamas, Mosab was thrown into an Israeli military prison... where he began questioning who his real enemies were: Jews? Christians? His fellow Muslims? Come hear the riveting story of how a man born into a family of terrorists... was born-again into the family of Jesus Christ. Mosab Yousef has appeared on CNN, Fox News, and is the author of "Son of Hamas"-- a NYTimes bestseller on radical Islam.
