Natalie Sudman was born in Montana and raised in Minnesota. She worked for sixteen years worked as an archaeologist in the western U.S. In 2006 was hired by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to administer construction contracts in Iraq. In 2007 a vehicle she was traveling in was hit by a roadside bomb. Her book Application of Impossible Things details her experience with that incident.About the Book: This is an amazing true story of a female civilian employee of the Army Corps of Engineers in Basrah and Nasiriyah, Iraq. She was riding in a truck with other men when a roadside bomb destroyed the vehicle. Her body was so severely damaged that there was no possible way she could live. She vividly recounts her Near Death Experience (NDE) when she went out of the body to the spirit world. There it was decided that her work on Earth was not done, and with the help of spirit guides, they repaired the body so she could reenter it. She retained the conscious memory of what happened, and more details returned during her time in the hospital. This is an amazing story of survival in wartime conditions. This has happened to many others in Iraq, but how many remember the spiritual side of the experience? Before this experience, Sudman was dubious about anything that smacked of the paranormal. This experience made her a believer. She shares her story here for the first time to demonstrate that the paranormal is normal and to assist others who have had similar experiences. This book is for anyone interested in near death experiences and out-of-body experiences. It is one of the first such books to come out of the Iraq conflict. Please enjoy my conversation with Natalie Sudman.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/next-level-soul-podcast-with-alex-ferrari--4858435/support.

Mark Mitchell has mounted a defence against attacks levelled by a political rival. On Mike Hosking's show this morning, Labour's Ginny Andersen accused the Police Minister of being paid to kill people, when he was a defence contractor in East Africa and the Middle East. Mitchell later claimed he doesn't know if he was personally responsible for any casualties, as his team defended a compound in Nasiriyah in the early 2000s. Asked outright later in the interview, Mitchell denied knowingly killing anyone. "I have been very clear- no, I have not killed anyone. Yes, I was involved in a siege in Nasiriyah, yes there were casualties on both sides- that's as much as I know." LISTEN ABOVESee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Once he turned 18, his choices led him on a path of destruction. His mom being a very strong woman of God saw his path and where he was heading and gave him an ultimatum.  Go to college, join the military or choose life on the streets of Vegas. His decision was the military and a week later he was on his way to San Diego to the Marine Corp Recruit Depot in November of 2000.   After bootcamp, he was assigned to Infantry. He thought it was going to be an easy 4 years since he joined during peace time but all of that changed on Sept 11, 2001. He was sent to Iraq during the initial invasion and spent almost 3 years in active combat. He was in Nasiriyah during the initial push and experienced some pretty intense life changing events. He Also fought in Fallujah losing numerous friends and his convoys were frequently hit by IED's. The experience of real combat pushed him farther into spiritual darkness.   After leaving the military, he received a job at a nightclub making great money. He would end up becoming Director of Security for many clubs and also worked in private armed security for high profile individuals and as a bounty hunter. After one of his bounty jobs went bad, he found himself with a heavy legal liability that almost cost him 30 years prison. During that time as he waited for the trial, he moved to California to attempt to his act together and build his relationship with God. Things didn't go as planned and he ended up losing his apartment and was homeless for almost 3 years. During that time, he was drinking heavily and began smoke marijuana to deal with the physical and emotional pain of war. This all led to a suicide attempt where his weapon misfired by God's grace.   This began new beginning and a new walk with God. He moved back home, went to court and all of his legal charges were dropped. He started to go back church, surrounded himself with Godly men began to volunteer at the Church. There met and married his wife Katie and they moved to Colorado. God led him to Reach Church where he devoted his life to full time ministry. What interests the people of Nasiriyah, and what role does heritage play in civic life there? This is the first in an experimental mini-series where we hear the thoughts of colleagues who are doing important work in Iraq. Yet while their work may be well known in Iraq itself, few in the UK or the wider western world know anything about it. This may be partly because of the nature of the specialist's position, or the low level of Arabic language skills in the west. With the help of interpreter Zainab Mizyidawi, Amir was interviewed in Arabic and the results have been translated into English. More than 150 people have died in devastating floods across parts of western Germany and Belgium, as rescue operations and the search for thousands unaccounted for. Flooding has now spread to streets in Switzerland and the Netherlands. ——— The British government threw the holiday plans of tens of thousands of people into disarray Friday night when it reversed plans to open up travel from France because of concerns about a COVID-19 variant circulating in the country. As infections rise, French President Emmanuel Macron ordered all health care workers to get virus vaccine shots by Sept. 15 and mandated special COVID-19 passes to go to a restaurant or a shopping mall. The new measures come amid worries over the delta variant. On Friday, The Eiffel Tower reopened in Paris for the first time in nine months as France introduced new restrictions to tame the delta variant. 23MAR2003: Serving as a corpsman with 1/2 Marines during the invasion of Iraq, Hospital Apprentice Luis Fonseca and his men were tasked with moving through Nasiriyah and taking the Saddam Canal Bridge. Having faced little enemy resistance in the first few days of the invasion, the Marines RCT-2 found themselves in a pretty steady fight as soon as they entered Nasiriyah. Rather than turning to run, the Iraqi military and paramilitary units here decided to fight. The city was divided by three bridges along the critical highway 7. Despite the enemy resistance, the Marines cleared the first and second bridge and set their sights on the Saddam Canal. Now between two bridges in an urban environment, the enemy sprung their trap. Firing from all directions, Iraqi fighters hammered the Marines with machine gun fire as mortars and artillery rounds found their mark. Armed with heavy machine guns and tanks, the Iraqi units held their ground and quickly began destroying American armored vehicles. Soon, the call went out, 'Corpsman up!'. Without hesitation, HA Luis Fonseca ran to a burning vehicle that had been struck by enemy fire. Under fire, he administered aid two the five wounded Marines, two of which were amputees. He organized their movement to a casualty collection vehicle and stabilized the patients until that truck was disabled by enemy fire. Fonseca again organized their movement and under continual fire, directed patient care and helped to load the casualties into a new vehicle. Not able to carry all five, Fonseca stayed behind keeping his fellow Marine alive until someone could return to take him to the aid station. Fonseca returned to his unit and continued to treat the wounded all the while, eventually making yet another trip with a casualty to the rear before moving back into the fire to be with his fellow Marines. For his bravery under fire, HA Luis Fonseca would be awarded the Navy Cross.

My guest this week is Retired United States Marine Sergeant Major Justin LeHew. This episode is the first of two conversations with Sergeant Major (Ret) LeHew. The second one will be next week and also including the organization that he leads today. Sergeant Major (Ret) LeHew has been awarded the Navy Cross, The Bronze Star. He is also known as the Hero of Nasiriyah for his work taking part in the 507 Maintenance company's rescue operation, including Jessica Lynch in 2003. I quote: “Under constant enemy fire, he led the rescue team to the soldiers. With total disregard for his own welfare, he assisted the evacuation effort of four soldiers, two of whom were critically wounded,” LeHew’s Navy Cross citation reads. In 2010, Sergeant Major (Ret) LeHew was honored by the Marine Corps with an obstacle named in his honor at Parris Island, South Carolina, called LeHew’s Challenge. Every recruit, both male and female, hears from their drill instructors about the heroism displayed by then Gunnery Sergeant LeHew. It was a privilege to have this conversation with Sergeant Major (Ret) LeHew. We discuss topics such as: why he from a young age knew he wanted to serve in the Military, why the Marine Corps prepares you for any situation, what drives him, how our world and war is evolving today, why nothing new is under the sun, lessons learned about building a family with a demanding calling, why we’re all equal as human beings, and more. I hope you enjoyed this week’s episode. This week I am talking to Natalie Sudman about her book 'Application of Impossible Things - My Near Death Experience in Iraq'. Natalie worked as a female civilian employee of the Army Corps of Engineers in Basrah and Nasiriyah, Iraq, she was riding in a truck when a roadside bomb destroyed the vehicle. As a result of the severe injuries her body received from this roadside bomb, Natalie had a near-death experience where she left her body and entered the spirit world. There it was decided that her work on Earth was not done and with the help of spirit guides, they repaired the body so she could reenter it. She retained the conscious memory of what happened and during the time in the hospital, more details returned. Before this experience, Sudman was dubious about anything that smacked of the paranormal. This experience made her a believer. Application of Impossible Things - My Near Death Experience in IraqThere have been many, many people killed and maimed by bomb explosions during the war in Iraq. This is the amazing story of a woman who survived a near fatal explosion. Incredibly, that was only the beginning of her story. During the event, she experienced a NDE (Near Death Experience). She retained vivid memories of going to the spirit side and from that unique out-of-body perspective; she helped celestial beings put her body back together so she could return to life. She wanted to share what the experience was like as viewed from the spirit side. After being injured in Iraq, Natalie retired from government service. She is now enjoying art, writing, and continuing explorations into the non-physical. Natalie has also been a subject of studies performed by the University of Virginia's Division of Perceptual Studies, and welcomes invitations to act as a lab rat for any scientific investigation. Describing herself as an open-minded skeptic, Natalie finds that the rigorous methodology of science appeals to her critical mind, while her artistic nature enjoys the expansive freedom of leaving behind the critical mind in frequent forays into the non-physical. She maintains that an irreverent sense of humor and a willingness to look foolish are the cornerstones of constructive exploration. Raised in Minnesota, Natlie Sudman has lived most of her adult life in eastern Oregon, Montana and South Dakota. She recently moved to southern Arizona. Natalie's two-dimensional work is available through Davis & Cline Galleries in Ashland Oregon. Her ceramics are available online at Inyan Trace Art Studio. She occasionally blogs at Trace of Elements. Click this link to buy the book https://amzn.to/2Ew5Zun https://www.patreon.com/pastlivespodcast

At the age of 19 Jessica Lynch joined the Army, and just over one year later she found herself staged for the invasion of Iraq.  During the initial surge towards Baghdad, her unit became separated from their convoy, and found themselves in the town of Nasiriyah.  Her smaller unit was ambushed, and she became the first American POW (Prisoner of War).   As Jessica and her unit were staging for the invasion in Kuwait, my unit was in Saudi Arabia, doing the same thing.  As the war began, we began working through our target deck, until actionable intelligence was received about her location.  After a quick forward staging, planning, and limited rehearsal, we assaulted the hospital, and recovered her on 1 April 2003.  It was the first successful of an American POW since WW2.  Jessica was immediately taken to a higher level of medical care, and slowly began her journey home to the US via Germany.  There has been much controversy over what happened during the events leading up to the rescue, and of the rescue itself.  It is safe to say, in my opinion, that the military used the operation to serve their needs at the time.  I had not spoken to her until this recording, and it was great to revisit the events of 15 years ago from both sides of the same coin.

Jessica Dawn Lynch (born April 26, 1983) is a former United States Army soldier who served in the 2003 invasion of Iraq by U.S. and allied forces. On March 23, 2003, Private First Class Lynch was serving as a unit supply specialist with the 507th Maintenance Company when her convoy was ambushed by Iraqi forces during the Battle of Nasiriyah. Lynch was seriously injured. Her subsequent recovery by U.S. Special Operations Forces on April 1, 2003 received considerable media coverage; it was the first successful rescue of an American prisoner of war since World War II and the first ever of a woman. Initial official reports on Lynch's capture and rescue in Iraq were incorrect. On April 24, 2007, she testified in front of Congress that she had never fired her weapon (her M16 rifle having jammed), and that she had been knocked unconscious when her vehicle crashed.[1] Lynch has been outspoken in her criticism of the original stories reported regarding her combat experience. When asked about her heroine status, she stated "That wasn't me. I'm not about to take credit for something I didn't do... I'm just a survivor."

She talks about the different shapes and appearances she took in all 3 environments, how her soul (whole self) chose the injuries she would endure when re-entering her physical body, and why her soul chose those injuries. We also learn what the Healing Environment was like, and what it teaches us about our soul’s detachment and sense of humor. Natalie even discusses why our souls make choices for tragedies in the first place—a question many people have contemplated regarding suffering. We even talk about spirit guides, the environment in which spirit guides exist, and how they fulfill our requests when they get mixed messages from us. This has happened to many others in Iraq, but how many remember the spirit side of the experience? NATALIE SUDMAN'S BIOGRAPHY: Natalie worked as an archeologist in the Great Basin states for sixteen years before accepting a position managing construction contracts in Iraq. After being injured by a roadside bomb (improvised explosive device--IED), Natalie has since retired from government service. She is now enjoying art, writing, and continuing explorations into the non-physical. Natalie has been a subject of studies performed by the University of Virginia’s Division of Perceptual Studies, and welcomes invitations to act as a lab rat for any scientific investigation. NATALIE SUDMAN (Episode 2 of 3 with Natalie): “In this early Afterlife TV interview, one of my favorite guests, Natalie Sudman, discusses her NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCE and what it unveils about what we are doing right now as spiritual beings and how important each one of us is in this human-spiritual journey. Only 25 percent of Afterlife TV fans got to watch this interview, and it’s so powerful that it deserves a second viewing even if you’re one of the few who did see it. This is my second episode with Natalie talking about her near-death experience. In this captivating interview, Natalie reveals MORE of what happened in the first stage called the BLINK ENVIRONMENT and now reveals the second stage of her NDE, which she calls the REST ENVIRONMENT. "Natalie talks about the relationship between spirit and soul, her experience having a LIFE REVIEW, the connection between all living things, how COINCIDENCES are really serendipity, the relationship between the CHOICES we make and those we don’t make, the power of our BELIEFS over our intentions, and a profound final message about THE GIFT OF BEING HUMAN. If you were fascinated by this 'Defense Of Freedom Medal' recipient in her first interview, you’ll want to watch or listen to this mind-blowing video conversation that covers numerous consciousness-expanding insights.” ~ Bob Olson, Afterlife TV Natalie Sudman talks about her Life Review during her near death experience due to a roadside bomb in Iraq in this second Afterlife TV interview.  ................................................................... This early Afterlife TV interview unveils mind-blowing events and insights that will truly rock your world. An archaeologist who accepted a position managing construction contracts in Iraq, Natalie Sudman tells the story of her encounter with a roadside bomb (IED) and what happened when she left her body and had a near death experience. Surrounded by thousands of other-wordly beings, she instantly began downloading minutely detailed information to them about events, thoughts, concepts, judgments, projections and connections regarding her physical life so far. Thus begins this fascinating story of spiritual insight and experience that will have you mesmerized by this Defense Of Freedom Medal recipient. BOB OLSON & NATALIE SUDMAN: “Hey Afterlife TV is back! Yay! And I’m beginning with something different. This episode is not an interview but rather an honest-to-goodness conversation between two afterlife authors & friends. And I chose to do it this way because this episode comes out during the holiday season, a time of the year when we’re feeling the void of our loved ones in spirit. So I invited Natalie Sudman to join me in this discussion about the why & how we can recognize that our deceased loved ones are with us at ANY family or friend gathering. We talk about inviting them to the party, recognizing the signs they send us, teaching them what signs we will notice, and even how our remembering them affects them in spirit. I think you’ll enjoy this holiday special that is delivered with joy, a little humor, some channeling, and a lot of love."" ~ Bob Olson, Afterlife TV ................................................................... NATALIE SUDMAN: "Natalie Sudman discusses a ENTIRELY NEW ASPECT of her near death experience after her truck was hit by a roadside bomb in Iraq. This all-new interview can be viewed without watching Natalie's previous interviews, but watch all 3 for the full experience. "In this video, Natalie reveals what happened to her in the HEALING ENVIRONMENT. She talks about the different forms (shapes/appearances) she took in all 3 environments, how her soul (whole self) chose the injuries she would have when re-entering her physical body--and why she chose those injuries, what the Healing Environment was like and what it teaches us about our soul's detachment and sense of humor, and why our souls make choices for tragedies in the first place. We even talk about spirit guides, the environment in which they exist, and how they fulfill our requests when they get mixed messages from us. This interview is so jam-packed with fascinating information that you won't want to miss it. I'd love to hear your thoughts after watching it." ~ Bob Olson, Afterlife TV Natalie Sudman talks about the HEALING ENVIRONMENT during her near death experience in this third and final interview of the series.  ................................................................... Reasons for Invading Iraq:Iraq's possession of WMDsSaddam's link to Al QaedaIraq's failure to respect no-fly zonesTyrannical part of the Axis of Evil The United States Congress supported military action against Iraq, but the UN did not approve of it. The US launched Operation Cobra II with the coalition of the willing (consisting of 49 countries) and many military contractors.  The main invasion was in the South, where there were three fronts: Western Front: US's 3rd Infantry Division goes through Najaf and Karbala towards BaghdadCentral Front: US's 1st Marine Expeditionary Force goes through Nasiriyah towards BaghdadEastern Front: UK's 1st Armored Division goes through Basra towards Baghdad A secondary invasion in the North was led by the 10th Special Forces Group and the Kurdish Peshmerga.  This force pushed through Mosul and Kirkuk towards Baghdad. The actual invasion of Baghdad took place early in April, when Colonel Perkins invented the concept of Thunder Runs--rapid mechanized thrusts into the city to inspire shock and awe.  Two thunder runs were sent into Baghdad and eventually the city (minus Saddam Hussein) was taken. On May 1st, 2003, President Bush declared Mission Accomplished (excerpt in episode).
