The show aims to provide a realistic portrayal of the challenges veterans face when transitioning to civilian work, moving away from the common stereotypes of veterans being either superheroes or completely damaged. Hollywood and the show's writer/director, Nick Palmisciano and the Diesel Jack Media Team worked to create a balanced and entertaining show that would resonate with both veteran and civilian audiences. Have you ever wondered what it takes to turn your entrepreneurial vision into a thriving business? The world of entrepreneurship is a dynamic and exhilarating journey filled with opportunities, risks, and rewards. Whether you have a groundbreaking idea, a passion for innovation, or a desire to create something meaningful, venturing into entrepreneurship opens doors to endless possibilities. So, are you ready to explore the exciting world of entrepreneurship and embark on a path of innovation and success? Nick Palmisciano shares his life experiences, lessons, and advice to future leaders. The most important thing to be aware of is how to strike a balance between work and personal life. By prioritizing self-care, setting boundaries, and fostering healthy relationships, we can achieve harmony between our work and personal lives, increasing productivity, happiness, and a more meaningful existence. Tune in as young leaders ask questions about life, personal growth, entrepreneurship, and more! Quotes: "If you're thinking about the end being the happy part, it's not worth it. Do something else because if you don't enjoy it, it's not going to be enough." – Nick Palmisciano "Recognizing the right time for a bigger pivot is challenging, but it requires self-awareness and understanding the underlying connections." – Matt Beaudreau "Sometimes, even when you have achieved success and financial security, it doesn't guarantee happiness or fulfilment." – Nick Palmisciano Takeaways: Find joy in the process and work towards goals you genuinely enjoy, as the journey is often longer than the result. Prioritize what truly matters in the long run and remember that professional achievements are temporary compared to the importance of family and relationships. Recognizing the right time for a significant change or pivot requires self-awareness, reflection, and identifying patterns or connections that may lead to new opportunities. Trusting your instincts and being open to exploration is essential. Money and success don't always equate to happiness and fulfilment. It's important to pursue what brings you joy and purpose. Conclusion: Embarking on the path of entrepreneurship requires passion, determination, and a willingness to face challenges. One can increase the chances of success by leveraging market analysis, building a unique business model, and prioritizing customer satisfaction. However, it's important to maintain a healthy work-life balance and invest in personal growth. Remember, failures can serve as valuable lessons, and entrepreneurial dreams can become a reality with confidence and perseverance.

For years, Chris silently struggled with post-traumatic stress (PTS),  depression, and suicidal ideation, fearful that such a diagnosis would  negatively impact his career. His symptoms reached the breaking point in  2011, which almost resulted in Chris taking his own life.  If not for  one of his closest friend Ron Griffin's intervention, Chris would have  undoubtedly been among the 22 per day statistics.   Chris wants to leave something positive in this world before he goes,  regardless of how much time he has left.  He has encouraged his military  brothers and sisters to seek help immediately and not downplay the  signs. Through this documentary, “Brother's Keeper,” Chris and his  business partner Daniel aim to raise awareness of the veteran suicide  epidemic and destigmatize the subject by openly discussing his personal  struggles, sharing the impactful stories of other exceptional veterans,  and providing critical resources to warriors who may be  battling PTS.    Follow Chris on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/chris_cathers/ Documentary page: https://bkvf.org/donate-2/ Thank you to our sponsors Ugly Chews,  Grill Your Ass Off, Warrior Rising with Caisson Shaving Co.  Ugly Chews: http://bit.ly/3nUUeV8 Grill Your Ass Off: http://bit.ly/3ZQo7TM Warrior Rising: http://bit.ly/418nzJZ Caisson Shaving: http://bit.ly/3UrwDYf Chapters:   00:00 Intro  00:25 Ugly Chews  01:45 Nick goes partial officer  02:12 Meet Chris Cathers  03:55 Green Beret  09:00 Leaving the Operator Life  12:13 IT'S JASON BOURNE!  18:25 About Face  30:05 It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia   39:30 Holistic Approach  42:30 The Bad News  52:15 SHOT Show  59:30 Woke Culture  01:01:01 Grill Your A$$ Off  01:02:30 Testosterone Poisoning  01:13:20 30 Year Old Virgins  01:20:05 84% of American's Agree  01:26:40 Afghanistan Falls  01:29:10 King of America  01:31:50 Warrior Rising & Caisson Shaving  01:33:18 Rapid Fire   Neutral Position with Nick Palmisciano is a @dieseljackmedia original production.  Follow DJM: Facebook: https://bit.ly/3UnGvlJ Instagram: https://bit.ly/43h4o2r

In this episode of Battleground, Nick shares his story of how he ended up in the military, which was not originally a part of his plan. His father, a Vietnam vet, never pushed the military on him, but Nick ended up taking the SATs and doing well, prompting him to look into West Point. His father encouraged him to visit and consider it, and he ultimately decided to attend. Nick also shares his experience of being asked to assist in Afghanistan with the evacuation of civilians in 2021. Nick, and fellow veteran Tim Kennedy, said yes to the opportunity, even though they were unsure of what they were getting into. The experience was emotionally taxing, but it was also an opportunity to do something meaningful and make a difference. How to Make $3 Million Selling Your Indie Film on iTunes & Amazon w/ with Nick Palmisciano of Range 15We all hear that self-distribution is the future for indie filmmakers. Build an audience and make a film for that audience but finding real world examples of a "true" indie film breaking $1,000,000+ using that model is tough. Well, I'm happy to introduce you to Range 15, the indie film that not only made $1 million selling on iTunes and Amazon but they have made $3 million+ to date, and growing.Today's guest is Nick Palmisciano, one of the writers, producers, and actors in Range 15. His story of how this film came into the world is truly inspiring.Nick and Mat Best, his co-producer/writer/lead of Range 15, had a crazy idea to create a feature film for the communities they had built up over the years. They are both military veterans and own military themed apparel companies Ranger up Article 15, respectively. They wanted to make a film that the military community would enjoy and they did just that. Check out the fun trailer below. They crowdfunded $1.2 million to make the film. Their goal was $350,000 but they made that in the first 30 hours of the campaign. With the extra cash, they were able to get William Shatner, Keith David, Sean Astin and Danny Trejo in the film. Check out the crowdfunding video below. As you can tell from the videos above Nick and the gang don't take themselves too seriously but what is serious is how much dinero Range 15 has pulled in. For an indie film with no studio and no distributer to break $3 million bucks is a miracle. My hats off to Range 15.Enjoy my inspirational conversation with Nick Palmisciano.

There's a long-standing connection between philosophy and soldiering. Marcus Aurelius, Cato, Socrates, and many other philosophers were all soldiers. James Stockdale, whose A-4E Skyhawk was shot down over Vietnam, was too. As he recounts: “After ejection I had about thirty seconds to make my last statement in freedom before I landed…And so help me, I whispered to myself: ‘Five years down there, at least. I’m leaving the world of technology and entering the world of Epictetus.’” It turned out to be seven years in a Vietnamese prison, and he credited Stoicism with saving his life. That’s what Stoicism was built for. It teaches us to—as they say in the military—“embrace the suck” and find security and peace even in the midst of warfare and crisis. Nick Palmisciano, CEO of Ranger Up and former Infantry Officer in the United States Army, discovered Stoicism at a young age and, like Stockdale, credits it with helping him get through some tremendously tough situations. Nick details many of them in our interview with him for DailyStoic.com. The thread, what Stoicism taught him and what he continues to cultivate, is about being comfortable with suffering:Everyone has a breaking point. For most people, that point is very low, which is why many people never push themselves past their comfort zone. The military demands suffering. It provides you with increased opportunity to suffer at every turn...The guys we revere are the guys that have suffered the most... And the dirty little secret is that everyone has a coward inside them, and if you really want to be tough, and I mean that both physically and mentally, you have to push that coward to the breaking point and then push past it every day. You have to embrace suffering.Epictetus as a slave, Stockdale as a prisoner of war, Zeno shipwrecked—if you go down the list of Stoics, you find story after story of tremendous resilience in the face of tremendous misfortune. You also find that it’s never some innate superpower. It’s trained. “But neither a bull nor a noble-spirited man comes to be what he is all at once,” Epictetus said. “He must undertake hard winter training, and prepare himself.”Nick continues to train in jiu jitsu, not because it will help with combat but “to get my suffering in and push the coward inside me past my breaking point.” That’s our challenge to you today: get out of your comfort zone, push the coward inside you, embrace suffering. Get it on the calendar. Undergo hardship voluntarily. Then, you will be better prepared for life’s involuntary hardships.

After graduating the United States Military Academy at West Point, Nick Palmisciano served for 6 years as an infantry officer before shuffling off into the world of business. As a newly minted civilian he founded Ranger Up, which grew to prominence as the first military lifestyle brand. Under it's umbrella, Nick created a very popular YouTube Channel catering to the military, police, fire and EMS. In addition to creating comical internet fare, Nick has produced several documentaries focused on veterans. Warriors (2013) which centers around the Army Combatives world, and True Silence, which focuses on one veteran's successful coping mechanism from a traumatic brain injury, both received critical acclaim. In 2015, Nick, along with Ross Patterson, Mat Best, Jarred Taylor, Jack Mandaville, and Vincent Vargas wrote and produced the first ever veteran-made action-comedy: Range 15. Range 15 is the fourth largest crowd sourced movie of all time and premieres in May 2016.   Mike Simpson has served over three decades in the military as an Airborne Ranger, a Special Forces Operator, and finally as a Doctor of Emergency Medicine assigned to the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC). Throughout his career, Mike has deployed to 17 different countries, from counter-narcotics operations in the jungles of South America, to the Global War on Terror (GWOT) in Southwest Asia and North Africa. Along the way, Mike has been trained as a demolitions expert, SWAT Sniper, High Altitude Low Opening (HALO) parachutist, civilian paramedic, Special Forces Medic, Operations and intelligence Sergeant, and finally, a board certified Emergency Medicine Physician. Mike is also a martial arts enthusiast, who trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai. His passion for martial arts motivated him to become a practicing fight doctor. As one of the foremost experts in both tactical trauma medicine and combat sports medicine, Mike is highly sought after as a lecturer and instructor, working extensively with Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighters, law enforcement, and military organizations providing medical care and training. His story of how this crazy indie film came into the world is truly inspiring.Nick and Mat Best, his co-producer/writer/lead of Range 15, had a crazy idea to create a feature film for the communities they had built up over the years. They are both military veterans and own the military-themed apparel companies Ranger Rp and Article 15 Clothing, respectively. They wanted to make a film that the military community would enjoy and they did just that. They crowdfunded $1.2 million to make the film. Their goal was $350,000 but they made that in the first 30 hours of the campaign. With the extra cash, they were able to get William Shatner, Keith David, Sean Astin, and Danny Trejo to join the cast.As you can tell from the videos above Nick and the gang don't take themselves too seriously but what is serious is how much dinero Range 15 has pulled in. For an indie film with no studio and no distributor to break $3 million bucks is a miracle.
