Dear Boss Babe.. If you've been hustling hard, chasing the next big win, but secretly battling burnout, those limiting beliefs might be the biggest roadblock standing between you and the dream life you're craving. I've been there—feeling “not ready,” “not qualified,” and stuck in the cycle of overworking just to prove myself. In this pep talk, I'm breaking down how those sneaky little stories you tell yourself are fueling burnout, blocking your self care, and keeping even the most high achiever boss babes from fully stepping into their power. More importantly, I'm giving you the exact steps to catch them, reframe them, and finally take action. Here's what you'll hear in today's episode:
The U.S. government has shut down after Republicans and Democrats failed to pass a spending bill before the end of Tuesday. Government services will grind to a halt and hundreds of thousands of federal employees face unpaid leave. How long is it expected to last, and could it have been avoided? Plus, President Donald Trump and Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth held a rare gathering of the country's top military leaders, detailing their new vision for the US military. We break it all down with Alex Shephard, senior editor at The New Republic. We'd love to hear from you! Sometimes the smallest tasks create the biggest mental weight. That pile of papers on your desk, the drawer you've been meaning to organize, the business process that needs updating – they sit there, taking up space in your mind every single day. The energy you spend thinking about these undone tasks often exceeds the energy required to actually complete them. In this pep talk episode, I share a simple four-step process for moving past avoidance and procrastination to finally tackle those lingering tasks. Using my own closet overhaul as a real-world example, I walk through exactly how I shift from endless postponement to actual completion. The same process works for personal projects and business tasks that keep getting bumped to next week's to-do list. THE BEST DAY PODCAST, Encouragement, Motivation, Positive Mindset, & Intentional Living
I know what it feels like to wake up and already feel behind, even before your day begins. Your giant to-do list is staring at you, the pressure is on, and you're trying so hard to push through even when your energy is running on empty. But here's the thing—we weren't made to live like that. We weren't made to always feel like we are operating on empty. Because here is the thing - your energy actually matters more than your to-do list? The way you feel (your body, your heart, your mind) while moving through your day is way more important than how many boxes you get checked off.In today's episode, we're going to talk about what that really means and how you can shift your focus from just doing all the things to actually feeling good while you do them. Because you, my friend, deserve to show up to all parts of your day with peace, joy, and energy. You deserve to feel your best— instead of feeling drained and burnt out all of the time.
Motherhood can feel loud, busy, and overwhelming—but it doesn't have to drown out your peace. In this episode, I'm sharing how we as moms can ground ourselves in our values, strengthen our support systems, and take micro moments of self-care that help us reset and realign. Together, we'll reflect on the importance of boundaries, staying connected to what truly matters for our families, and choosing empowerment over outside noise and pressure. With so many influences competing for our attention, this conversation is all about returning to center and finding the peace that allows us to thrive in this season of motherhood.

Dear Boss Babe... Busy doesn't mean productive. If you've been wearing multitasking like a badge of honor, it's time we had a little heart-to-heart. Hustle culture has convinced high achievers like us that juggling everything at once is the secret to success—but truth? It's draining your energy, stealing your peace, and keeping you from the real wins that matter. In today's pep talk, I'm breaking down why multitasking is a trap and why efficiency is your new self care practice. You'll hear why slowing down isn't falling behind, why presence beats busyness every time, and how choosing one meaningful priority a day can completely shift your results (and your sanity). This is for the boss babes who are tired of being “busy” but not satisfied, for the dream chasers who know they're meant for more, and for the women who are ready to protect their peace instead of their to-do lists. ✨ What you'll learn in this episode: Why multitasking is actually sabotaging your productivity How efficiency protects your energy and sharpens your clarity The simple daily shift that will help you feel true progress—not just pressure Why being fully present is the most powerful flex in both work and life Remember: busy is not the goal. Present, intentional, impactful—that's the real win.

Hey Girl! In this pep talk, I'm diving into the honest truth about decluttering and creating a clean space in the middle of motherhood. As moms, we're surrounded by toys, laundry, dishes, and all the chaos that comes with raising kids, and sometimes it feels impossible to find any space that feels like our own. But here's the thing: creating little pockets of order in our home can make a huge difference in our mental health and give us the breathing room we desperately need.I'll share practical, realistic steps you can start today, like tackling one drawer at a time, finding micro-moments to tidy up, and even creating one sanctuary space that's just for you. This isn't about perfection or a Pinterest-worthy house, it's about finding peace and creating a home that feels good for you in this busy season. If you've been craving motivation to get started or just need a reminder that small steps truly matter, this episode will give you the encouragement to create a space you love, even in the beautiful chaos of motherhood.Connect with me!Email: heygirlheywithbecca@gmail.com https://www.instagram.com/heygirlhey_withbecca?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ%3D%3D&utm_source=qr
How do you feel about the summer coming to an end?For me, saying goodbye to summer always feels hard.It is always tinged with sadness, as if all the fun is coming to an end.In fact my end-of-summer blues got so bad a few years back that I finally decided I needed to do something about it.And so, I created a guided journaling exercise called ‘Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn' to help me say a fond farewell to the summer as it came to an end and then plan what I wanted to make autumn all about, so that I could actually look forward to it.And honestly that simple exercise has been an absolute game changer. Now, not only do I not experience anywhere near the same degree of post-summer blues as I did before, but I actually enjoy the arrival of autumn. And I never thought I'd be able to say that!So if you have been suffering end-of-summer blues since the start of September, or simply want to step into autumn feeling clear about what you want to make this next season all about, then tune into today's Pep-Talk and let me guide you through the exercise that has made a huge difference to me and a lot of my clients and members who have tried it too. Today we're reposting an interview from the podcast: Human Intelligence In An AI World hosted by Rob Lauber and powered by PepTalk. Erik and Rob dig into why co-intelligence is the future, not artificial intelligence alone. Erik explains his "Jetsons and Flintstones" concept, his "STAMP" framework for digital leadership, strategies for focusing on "big" versus "busy" work, and the mindset shift needed to be a disruptor rather than the disrupted. Together, they break down the hype, confront ethical challenges, and offer practical advice for leaders and organizations trying to stay ahead, without getting too far ahead of their market. Key insights: Why face-to-face human connection still matters in a tech-driven world Co-intelligence: partnering with AI rather than fearing it How to focus on what matters in an increasingly distracted environment Being a disruptor vs. getting disrupted Practical advice for balancing innovation with ethics and human values Is there a guest you want Equalman to interview on the podcast? We are starting something different today that will carry through the next few Behind the Sessions episodes. I'm tackling those “middle-of-the-night” feelings during pregnancy and the postpartum. For years, we told ourselves lies about our businesses. Lies that kept us playing small, holding us back, and making us think success looked one certain way. We thought we had to shoot destination weddings to “arrive.” We thought buying the newest gear would finally level us up. We thought charging higher prices would mean more difficult clients. None of that was true. The truth is, you don't need to chase every shiny object to succeed. You don't need to go viral on Instagram or say yes to every opportunity that crosses your path. You need clarity, strategy, and the courage to stop letting fear make decisions for you. Once we realized that, our businesses and our mindsets shifted in ways we never thought possible. You are capable of building a profitable, fulfilling business right where you are. You don't need to wait for permission, and you don't need to be anyone other than yourself to do it.No more comparing your path to someone else's. No more hiding behind fear. No more believing the lies that hold you back. It's time to rewrite the story of what success can look like in your wedding business.00:00 – 02:30 | Intro, Wedding Season Updates, and Destination Work 02:30 – 07:00 | Lie #1: You Have to Do Destination Weddings to Be Successful 07:00 – 12:30 | Lie #2: Buying New Gear Will Grow Your Business 12:30 – 16:30 | Lie #3: Higher-Paying Clients Are More Difficult 16:30 – 22:30 | Lie #4: Pay-to-Play Opportunities Are a Bad Thing 22:30 – 25:30 | Lie #5: Instagram is About Going Viral and Followers 25:30 – 28:00 | Closing Thoughts and Pep Talk for CreativesThe next round of The Luxury Mastermind will start in October 2025! Ephesians 3:14-21
In this episode of Business Coaching Secrets, Karl Bryan and Rode Dog tackle some of the most pressing questions for business coaches gearing up for a successful season. Karl dissects business valuation multiples with practical examples, shares the best advice he's ever received (hint: mindset is everything), explains the flywheel concept in coaching, shows how people are more predictable than they think, and delivers a high-energy pep talk to relight the fire in any coach who's ready to level up. The show wraps with actionable strategies for focus and productivity—and plenty of classic Karlisms along the way. Key Topics Covered Understanding Business Valuation Multiples Karl reviews questions sparked by a previous discussion on laundromat valuations, clarifying why multiples change based on business size, predictability, scalability, and industry differences. He breaks down why scalability drives higher multiples, and emphasizes that growth and scale aren't the same. Mindset and “Emotional Home” Karl shares the most pivotal advice he's received: “You are what you think about.” He discusses the power of your self-talk (“I am…” statements), the importance of knowing your “emotional home,” and the compounding impact of clear, defined goals, using Kobe Bryant and Tom Brady as examples. The Flywheel and Clock Model To help listeners grasp the importance of momentum in business, Karl explains the flywheel (or “clock”) framework. He details how to apply it to money, lifestyle, procrastination, and business growth, demonstrating how well-structured systems compound positive results and how negative cycles (like procrastination) can spiral. Human Predictability and Coaching Shortcuts Karl illustrates just how predictable people are, sharing audience-tested mental tricks and the four main business owner challenges—sales, marketing, systems, and staff. He advises coaches to prepare solutions for these core areas to instantly build credibility and handle any business owner's problem. Pep Talk for Coaches: The 3 Core Beliefs With summer ending and the busy season beginning, Karl pushes coaches to ground themselves in three beliefs: the opportunity is there, you're the right person to seize it, and it will be worth it. He lays out the “3031 framework” (30 minutes a day for 30 days on one problem) to create momentum and encourages coaches to take consistent, focused action. Solving vs. Dissolving Problems Karl wraps by challenging listeners to ask if they're focusing on the right problems, and to “think on paper.” He urges coaches to step away from endless optimization and instead focus on proven, direct paths to landing clients and getting results. Notable Quotes “You are what you think about. Your thoughts control a lot. What you say after 'I am' matters.” “Profit is the domino that knocks over all the other dominoes. The business owner doesn't need another ad. What they need is a proper business model.” "People are predictable. If you put a business owner on the phone and ask for their biggest problem, it's almost always sales, marketing, systems, or staff.” “You have two people to impress: your nine-year-old self and your 90-year-old self.” “The secret is there is no secret. It's all just bloody hard work.” Actionable Takeaways Clarify Your Goal: Set a clear, specific target (like one live event per week with 10 decision-makers in the room). Big goals make daily actions obvious. Apply the Flywheel Framework: Think in loops and compounding progress—not just linear steps. Remember, positive cycles expand, and negative ones (procrastination, guilt) contract. Use the “3031 Framework”: Solve your #1 challenge by dedicating the first 30 minutes of every day for 30 days straight to it. Momentum beats motivation. Prepare Solutions: Be ready to address business owners' predictable issues: sales, marketing, systems, and staff. Have resources and frameworks in your back pocket. Think on Paper: Regularly map out your plans, strategies, and challenges using pen and paper (or digital notes). Don't try to solve complex problems in your head. Focus on Service and Real Results: Resist optimizing broken strategies. Direct outreach and targeted offers (not mass ads) are your fastest path to landing high-end coaching clients.
