In this episode of The Carolina Justice Report Podcast, Justin Lovely and Sarah Austin dive into the complexities of motorcycle accident cases. As active members of the Myrtle Beach biker community, they have seen firsthand how injured motorcyclists often believe they can't pursue a claim because they think they are at fault. However, this isn't always the case, and it's crucial not to give up without a thorough investigation. Justin and Sarah explain how motorcycle accidents are often wrongly assessed by police, especially when motorcyclists are too injured to provide their side of the story at the scene. They explore the concept of modified comparative negligence in South Carolina, which allows motorcyclists to recover compensation even if they are partially at fault—as long as they are not more than 50% at fault. This episode also covers single-bike accidents, passenger claims, and the importance of a comprehensive investigation, even when you think no one else is responsible. From roadway defects to other vehicles clipping you unknowingly, Justin and Sarah emphasize why every motorcycle accident case should be thoroughly reviewed. If you or someone you know has been involved in a motorcycle accident, this episode provides valuable insight into how to navigate the legal process and ensure your rights are protected. Key Takeaways: Motorcycle accidents are often wrongly assessed, and motorcyclists should not give up if they are told they are at fault. South Carolina's modified comparative negligence law allows motorcyclists to recover even if they are partially at fault (up to 50%). The importance of investigating single-bike accidents—roadway defects, unidentified vehicles, and other factors may still contribute to the accident. Passengers in motorcycle accidents nearly always have a claim, and additional coverage can be pursued through UIM policies. Catastrophic injuries from motorcycle accidents often lead to large medical bills, and seeking legal representation can provide crucial help in recovering compensation.

When people think about social media, they think about the upsides of it. It speaks to what they want in democracy that they're not getting. They feel disconnected, voiceless, and not empowered. First, we proudly introduce our new producer, Julian Apostata, and our engineer, Sarah Austin, then the four of us talk about gender non-conformity, and how our faith communities responded/reacted. That takes us to our informative interview with Donovan Ackley III, Ph.D., who was a professor at a conservative Evangelical Christian university. His decision to transition made national news, and ended his long-time position with the school. Donovan's doctorate is in philosophy of religion, and is the author of several books and many articles. For the past 6 years he's worked in trauma-informed crisis intervention, currently as case management team lead for a recovery residence with women and children recovering from addiction. He also consulted on the 2019 film Intersex and Faith, exploring the intersections of religion and gender. Tom Augenthaler became a pioneer in the field of influence marketing and influencer contracts by joining one of the world's first firms to specialize in the niche. He has worked with Fortune 500 brands as well as small and medium businesses on hundreds of campaigns to raise brand awareness, displace competitors and market products and services. Tom Augenthaler has worked with thousands of influencers and conceived, organized and executed multi-million dollar campaigns and programs – in some cases increasing product sales by millions of dollars.   Visit Tom at http://theinfluencemarketer.com/ (TheInfluenceMarketer.com) Or on his private Facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/IMforBadasses/ (Influencer Marketing (for Badasses))   In This Episode We Discuss: Employee Amplification Influencer Contracts A Brain Trust Judicious Course Taking   Influencers We Discuss: https://tim.blog/ (Tim Ferriss) https://mikedillard.com/ (Mike Dillard) http://sarahaustin.com/ (Sarah Austin) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC55Jb99LT3IINRY_g5V6rtA (Andru Edwards) https://chris.pirillo.com/ (Chris Pirillo) http://golin.com/ (Al Golin)   Books We Discuss: http://amzn.to/2k7bRNv (The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich Hardcover) by Timothy Ferriss https://expertsecrets.com/?cf_affiliate_id=665737&affiliate_id=665737 (Expert Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Finding Your Message, Building a Tribe, and Changing the World) by Russell Brunson https://dotcomsecretsbook.com/get-it-free?cf_affiliate_id=665737&affiliate_id=665737 (DotCom Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Growing Your Company Online) by Russell Brunson http://amzn.to/2yNbDzK (Find Your Why: A Practical Guide for Discovering Purpose for You and Your Team) by Simon Sinek http://amzn.to/2CsqmSZ (The Obstacle Is the Way: The Timeless Art of Turning Trials into Triumph) by Ryan Holiday http://amzn.to/2yLoceN (The Daily Stoic: 366 Meditations on Wisdom, Perseverance, and the Art of Living) by Ryan Holiday http://amzn.to/2zjiOmO (Ego Is the Enemy) by Ryan Holiday   https://expatmoneyshow.com/trish-leto/ (EP 018: Trish Leto - Why You Need To Use Facebook Live Videos To Grow Your Business Today, Even If You Are Shy)   Courses We Discuss: https://ryanwashere.com/ (Ryan Stewart) https://backlinko.com/ (Brian Dean)   Since recording this episode Tom Augenthaler has become a personal friend of mine and has advised me exactly what I should and should not be doing in regards to my influencer contracts. I believe that working with influencers is another strategy that all businesses should be looking towards, it's important to not count on only one stream of traffic to your business and influencer marketing is another way you can add to your pipeline, but as mentioned make sure your influencer contracts are clearly laid out so both parties are protected and is clear what is to be expected.
