Pagina Oficial: https://www.bonfire.de/

Happy "HEAVY HOLIDAYS"  Metalheads. In this episode we talk with professional rock photographer Frank White and veteran metal singer Alan Tecchio, who have just co-authored a brand new book titled JERSEY METAL – A History of the Garden State's Heavy Metal Scene – Volume One (1969-1986). Unique talking points include Frank White photographing LED ZEPPELIN as a 12 year-old budding Photographer at the legendary Madison Square Garden, ACDC in New York city and TWISTED SISTER in the bars of Long Island.  Full details on early METALLICA and ANTHRAX as well as legendary local bands OVERKILL and TT Quick.  In Jersey Metal Frank and Alan team up to offer a unique, autobiographical perspective on NJ's Heavy Metal music history through photos, ads, interviews and band bios. Jersey Metal Volume One covers the early years from 1969 through 1986. The book focuses not just on artists and bands from the Garden State but also world-wide acts, local original, cover as well as tribute bands that played NJ. There is also respect paid to the venues these groups frequented, the radio stations, record companies, stores and the Jersey shore that all helped grow New Jersey's wild Heavy Metal scene. Frank White has been a music photographer for forty seven years, selling his photos nationally and internationally to a variety of music magazines. He toured with bands as their photographer in the late 1980's and early 1990's.  Frank became an author in 2018 with two books in print to date. Alan Tecchio has been a singer in Metal bands starting in the early 1980's with Prophecy, Aggressor, Hades, Non Fiction, Watchtower, All Time Low, Seven Witches, Power and more recently with Level Fields and Mike LePond's Silent Assassins. He has also been a writer, columnist and graphic designer for nearly thirty years and has interviewed dozens of Metal bands.  A great unique conversation filled with in-depth antidotes and disclosures found only here at Metal Mayhem ROC.   MMROC Social Media: https://metalmayhemroc.com https://www.facebook.com/groups/metalmayhemroc https://twitter.com/MetalmayhemR How to Order the book: https://jerseymetalbook.com/ Jersey Metal Merchandise: https://jerseymetalbook.com/products/Jersey-Metal-Crewneck-Tee-p505689267 How to get in touch with Frank and Alan: Alan Tecchio : atecchio@yahoo.com Frank Wright: whitephotography@aol.com

What to do with this strange thing between your legs? This is one of the many confounding questions posed by the type of anime that doesn't discuss the complexities of gender, but instead questions what if boys all-a-sudden had boobies. That's the shallow depths Kyle and Garrett will dive into to discuss the comedy genre known as Gender Swap. These tend to be Freaky Friday scenarios where a man or woman switches bodies with the opposite sex, and hilarity ensues. Is Ren/Run the best anime character ever? Is Yamada-Kun surprisingly wholesome? Can't Ranma just take cold showers? We talk about all this and more as the guys run into their own embarrassing suddenly female scenarios. You won't want to miss it! Shows discussed were Ranma 1/2, Yamada Kun and the Seven Witches and To-Love-Ru. It’s, goodness, two weeks away from Thanksgiving. The days get darker earlier, which sucks because now I leave work when it’s dark outside. It’s also getting cold in Iowa, and has been for a week or so, and I’m definitely getting back into the regular ways of cold mornings. It involves more snoozing of the alarm clock and heat. This episode, we’re talking about Naoki Urasawa and Osamu Tezuka’s Pluto from Viz Media and Miki Yoshikawa’s Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches from Kodansha. That song you heard at the top of the episode was “Drive My Car” by The Beatles, I mean it’s “Time Machine Nante Iranai” by Atsuko Maeda from the live action Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches show. As always, you can find me on Twitter @ImpassionateK, and my co-hosts Helen (@WanderinDreamr) and Apryll (@manjiorin) on Twitter at those places in the parenthesis. You can find both of their writing at The Organization of Anti-Social Geniuses, more of Helen’s writing at Narrative Investigations, and my writing at the Fandom Post. Listen Show notes: 1:05 – We talk about Pluto! 22:29 – We talk about Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches! Next time, we’re talking about Chi’s Sweet Home and Yona of the Dawn!

Episode lucky number seven, unlike the movie Lucky Number Slevin, which is an alright movie and has Lucy Liu, but anyway. The Dodgers and Astros are in the midst of the World Series as I type this and I’m missing the hot action (seriously, it’s 90+ degrees in Los Angeles) as I type this, so let’s get on with it! This time, we’re talking about Moyoco Anno’s Insufficient Direction published by Vertical Comics and Takako Shimura’s Sweet Blue Flowers published by Viz Media. The song you heard at the top of the episode, and that I forgot to introduce, is “Aoi Hana” by Kukikodan from the Sweet Blue Flowers anime. Listen Show notes: 0:41 – We talk about Insufficient Direction! 10:46 – We talk about Sweet Blue Flowers! Next time is Pluto and Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches! We will revisit Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind at some point in the future because that manga is good, but just gotta get all our hands on it.

Also on the plate today is the new opening of JoJo's along with the last two episodes (JoJo's is probaby going to be a continuing section on the podcast we've decided). We also talk about some manga, such as Prison School, Yamada and the Seven Witches, and Boku no Hero Academia. So here's to the ending of a great season, the ending of Naruto, and the ending of an amazing ride with our great friend Ben. P.S. He will be back for Rahxephon (whenever that is). Some of the anime you will hear about in this episode are: 91 Days, Re:Zero, Food Wars, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Mob Psycho 100, One Punch Man, Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, Bleach, Prison School, Yamada and the Seven Witches, and many many more! The sogn at the end is "Thank You Type-2" by Rukunetsu, which a remix of the second ending of Bleach. "Thank You!!" has been an anchor in my life whenever I have friends leave and go their own way. I recommend checking out the original song if you haven't heard it, and make sure to check out the lyrics (they are beautiful). A big shoutout to Rukunetsu on this one: he has been with us from the beginning letting us use his songs. Make sure to subscribe to him here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNa_ZUAQlZWUjKUvWugpVCw And here is his remix of the song (I edited it just slightly): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0C_TR03l-6g Also, for nostalgia sake for you Bleach fans here is the full version of the ending, by "Home Made Kazoku." These guys also did the first ending of Naruto Shippuden, "Shooting Star." Kinda appropriate, considering that Naruto is ending. Welcome to the AniTAY Podcast! Here’s an extremely late episode of the AniTAY Podcast, recorded early in early July, but because Fruity disappeared off the face of the earth and Dex was busy having fun with the Xbox One SDK & Disney Infinity, he never edited it. It has some technical difficulties, but it’s worth a listen regardless. Also, it’s the last AniTAY podcast in this format, so give it a last hurrah! So, in this episode, because we recorded it when we did, we talked about the spring season and anticipation for the summer season, which we’re currently in. Hope you have a blast! Xander Demos is a high-energy rock and metal guitar player from Pittsburgh, PA. He is fueled by the passion to create melodic songs ranging from rock and metal genres to pop and ambient. Xander normally is associated with the rock and metal world but his versatility allows him to be comfortable in many forms of music.Xander grew up in the decade of decadance and has been a big fan of everything from pop-metal, Top-40, thrash metal, progressive rock and even dance-related music. As long as there was a hook or a melody, he picked up on it. Xander's main influences are Shawn Lane, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, Vinnie Moore, Guthrie Govan, Jason Becker, Neal Schon, Micheal Romeo and John Sykes. In the early days, he was fortunate to have some teachers whom he respected and had given him great tools by which to hone his fluid technique. Some of these players include Ralph Santolla (ex-Deicide, Obituary), Dallas Perkins (M.I. Instructor) and currently Derryl Gabel.Xander's playing style ranges from the beautifully melodic to the jaw-dropping insane. His playing encompasses much of what he has learned and absorbed from other players over the years. His melodies are the kind you can hum along to. He is releasing the full-length follow-up to his EP "Road To Guitarcadia", an instructional DVD, working with his three bands playing live every weekend and is now accepting guitar students for in-person and online lessons.Xander Demos Band:The Xander Demos Band (XDB) has been active since early 2011 and contains four virtuosos backing up Xander and all of his guitar pyrotechnics. They have had a great 2 years playing shows with Neil Zaza, UFO, The Dio Deciples, Uli Jon Roth, Buckethead, Lizzy Borden, Adrenaline Mob, Symphony X, Helstar and Kip Winger. The very talented Matt Williams (bass) and Chris Batton (drums) did an outstanding job on the recording of Guitarcadia as well as playing live until the reformation of the band in 2012. The latest version of XDB features Jeff Anzelone on drums, Adam Heuesy on keyboards, Ben Chiarini on bass and Mario Brescia on Lead Vocals. In 2013, the band is out supporting the Guitarcadia since signing with Rock N Growl records in Germany late last summer. The new album titled Dancing Through Daggers will be released towards the end of 2013. CJ Snare of Firehouse is back on board to mix and master the new album as he did with GuitarcadiaSabbath Judas Sabbath:Xander has joined forces with Houston native and thrash-metal vocalist James Rivera (Helstar, Malice, Seven Witches, Vicious Rumors) on a new East Coast chapter of his Sabbath Judas Sabbath project. This band is a national tribute band with chapters in Europe and in various locations across the United States. The East Coast chapter has Xander sharing lead guitar duties with fellow Pittsburgh natives Bill Staley (formerly of Creature of Habit), Greg Bittner (also formerly of Creature of Habit) on bass and fellow XDB bandmate Jeff Anzelone on drums.More information on Sabbath Judas Sabbath can be found at www.myspace.com/sjsofficial.
