Heavy metal rock legend, Carl Canedy, and writer Phillip “Doc” Harrington, recently published Carl's autobiography, Tales of a Wild Dog, Memoirs of a Rock Warrior. Since the age of 5, after observing a striking red drum set at a wedding reception, Carl was determined to play the drums. He received his first drum set in his early teens, immediately immersed himself in practice, and eventually developed his now-famous signature style. He also taught himself how to play guitar and piano, which would later come in handy in his role as a songwriter. After spending his formative years touring with the band Kelakos, in 1979, Carl joined forces with David “Rock” Feinstein to start the legendary Upstate, NY power trio, The Rods. The band quickly became a sensation in the northeast, landing a major recording contract with Arista Records. The Rods toured and played shows with the likes of no less than: Judas Priest, Ozzy, Motörhead, Metallica, Richie Blackmore, Blue Oyster Cult, and many others. In the late 1980's, Carl produced of some of heavy metal's most iconic bands, including: Anthrax, Overkill, Exciter, Possessed, Helstar and many others. He also coached, developed, and mentored bands such as Roxx Gang and Young Turk. The Rods had a resurgence in 2010 with their comeback album; Vengeance., which was followed by Brotherhood of Metal and the highly acclaimed Rattle the Cage. The Rods continue to tour and are currently putting the final touches on their 11th studio album. Carl has also released 2 albums under the moniker of Canedy.Doc is a devoted culinarian and a dedicated heavy metal fan. A graduate of the esteemed Culinary Institute of America, he has spent the past 2 decades writing and arranging technical manuals for the baking industry. Doc views the 80's heavy metal scene as monumentally historic and highly impactful. No solo los sonidos se parecían a los de los sacerdotes, sino también la voz del líder James Neal, un practicante budista, muy similar a la de Rob Halford. Esto los llevará a ser considerados entre los grupos que más se inspiraron en el legendario grupo británico y a ser definidos como su respuesta Americana. Malice se formó en Los Ángeles en 1980 por el bajista Mark Behn de Portland, Oregon. Su álbum debut, Acero y Sangre, fue grabado en vivo en diciembre de 1986, y fue el álbum encargado de introducir el género speed metal en España, llegando a tocar en los festivales más importantes del país y abrir el espacio en España a grandes bandas a nivel internacional como Motörhead, teniendo una gran repercusión a nivel nacional y realizando giras multitudinarias. Entre el heavy metal "clásico" y el speed metal, como sin decidir por cual género optar, Muro expandió este estilo de heavy metal en España, colindando paralelamente sin saberlo con bandas del underground estadounidense y alemán como los Agent Steel, Helloween, Rage, Savage Grace, Omen, Liege Lord, Running Wild, Exciter, Abbatoir, Tyrant, Realm, Helstar o Anthrax (puramente thrash metal estos últimos); que hacían música similar en los mediados y finales de la década de 1980. A diferencia de estos grupos mencionados que ya se acercaban al thrash metal, Muro tenía un espíritu más heavy, y sus influencias musicales como base de guitarra fluctuaban entre los furiosos "riffs" de Judas Priest, Motörhead y Accept, al que agregaron una base de coros apasionados estilísticamente similares a los de Manowar y Barón Rojo. Además, se diferenciaron por la forma de canto muy peculiar de Silver, su vocalista. En 2003 el grupo se separa, aunque en 2004 Silver reúne a varios de los miembros que han pasado por el grupo a lo largo de su historia para grabar un doble CD en directo a modo de despedida Este Muro no se Cae. En 2009 los cuatro miembros originales: Lapi, Largo, Julito y Silver retoman la banda y hacen una gira titulada "Por un puñado de dólares", llevándoles a tocar incluso al conocido festival "Heavy Metal Maniacs" que se celebra en los Países Bajos. Para 2013 ya tienen firmada fecha en el festival alemán "Headbangers Open Air". El 17 de diciembre de 2013 la banda anuncia oficialmente el retiro de Silver (voz) por problemas personales. Tras esto, Rosa Pérez entra como vocalista de Muro oficialmente.

Ellos llaman su música como True Metal o Metal Verdadero (lo que es un término común en la escena del metal alemán de heavy metal o power metal tradicional); la banda generalmente viste con cuero. El líder de la banda Tarek Maghary organiza un festival llamado keep it true. El nombre lo lleva en honor a una canción de Metal Force, en este festival se reúnen bandas de heavy metal, incluso se forman competiciones de bandas de heavy metal de EE.UU. Tarek Maghary es también el creado de un proyecto llamado Dawnrider, es un álbum conceptual de metal con muchos otros músicos como Rob Rock, Ross The Boss, Michael Seifert (Rebellion). Xander Demos is a high-energy rock and metal guitar player from Pittsburgh, PA. He is fueled by the passion to create melodic songs ranging from rock and metal genres to pop and ambient. Xander normally is associated with the rock and metal world but his versatility allows him to be comfortable in many forms of music.Xander grew up in the decade of decadance and has been a big fan of everything from pop-metal, Top-40, thrash metal, progressive rock and even dance-related music. As long as there was a hook or a melody, he picked up on it. Xander's main influences are Shawn Lane, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, Vinnie Moore, Guthrie Govan, Jason Becker, Neal Schon, Micheal Romeo and John Sykes. In the early days, he was fortunate to have some teachers whom he respected and had given him great tools by which to hone his fluid technique. Some of these players include Ralph Santolla (ex-Deicide, Obituary), Dallas Perkins (M.I. Instructor) and currently Derryl Gabel.Xander's playing style ranges from the beautifully melodic to the jaw-dropping insane. His playing encompasses much of what he has learned and absorbed from other players over the years. His melodies are the kind you can hum along to. He is releasing the full-length follow-up to his EP "Road To Guitarcadia", an instructional DVD, working with his three bands playing live every weekend and is now accepting guitar students for in-person and online lessons.Xander Demos Band:The Xander Demos Band (XDB) has been active since early 2011 and contains four virtuosos backing up Xander and all of his guitar pyrotechnics. They have had a great 2 years playing shows with Neil Zaza, UFO, The Dio Deciples, Uli Jon Roth, Buckethead, Lizzy Borden, Adrenaline Mob, Symphony X, Helstar and Kip Winger. The very talented Matt Williams (bass) and Chris Batton (drums) did an outstanding job on the recording of Guitarcadia as well as playing live until the reformation of the band in 2012. The latest version of XDB features Jeff Anzelone on drums, Adam Heuesy on keyboards, Ben Chiarini on bass and Mario Brescia on Lead Vocals. In 2013, the band is out supporting the Guitarcadia since signing with Rock N Growl records in Germany late last summer. The new album titled Dancing Through Daggers will be released towards the end of 2013. CJ Snare of Firehouse is back on board to mix and master the new album as he did with GuitarcadiaSabbath Judas Sabbath:Xander has joined forces with Houston native and thrash-metal vocalist James Rivera (Helstar, Malice, Seven Witches, Vicious Rumors) on a new East Coast chapter of his Sabbath Judas Sabbath project. This band is a national tribute band with chapters in Europe and in various locations across the United States. The East Coast chapter has Xander sharing lead guitar duties with fellow Pittsburgh natives Bill Staley (formerly of Creature of Habit), Greg Bittner (also formerly of Creature of Habit) on bass and fellow XDB bandmate Jeff Anzelone on drums.More information on Sabbath Judas Sabbath can be found at www.myspace.com/sjsofficial.
