Tonight, I'm talking about serial killer Samuel Little with Jillian Lauren, author of “Behold the Monster: Confronting America's Most Prolific Serial Killer.” Jillian Lauren Jillian Lauren is a writer, storyteller, adoption advocate, rock-wife, and lousy kickboxer. She is the New York Times bestselling author of the memoirs EVERYTHING YOU EVER WANTED, and SOME GIRLS: My Life in a Harem, and the novel PRETTY. SOME GIRLS, which recounts her time spent in the harem of the Prince of Brunei, has been translated into eighteen languages. She was the only journalist to extensively interview Samuel Little, the most prolific serial killer in American history. This experience is chronicled in Joe Berlinger's hit STARZ documentary series, CONFRONTING A SERIAL KILLER, and in Michael Connelly's podcast MURDER BOOK: The Women Who Brought Down Samuel Little. Her book BEHOLD THE MONSTER: Confronting a Killer is forthcoming. Jillian has an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University. Her writing has appeared in New York Magazine, The New York Times, Vanity Fair, The Paris Review, The Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Magazine, Elle, Flaunt Magazine, The Daily Beast, Salon, and many others. Her work has been widely anthologized, including in The Moth Anthology, and True Tales of Lust and Love. Jillian is a regular storyteller with The Moth and performs at spoken word and storytelling events across the country. She did a Tedx talk about adoption and identity at Chapman University in 2014. She has been interviewed on The View, Good Morning America and Howard Stern, to name a few. Jillian is married to Weezer bass player Scott Shriner. They live in Los Angeles with their two sons. Behold the Monster Jillian Lauren had no idea what she was getting into when she wrote her first letter to prolific serial killer Samuel Little. All she knew was her research had led her to believe he was good for far more murders than the three for which he had been convicted. While the two exchanged dozens of letters and embarked on hundreds of hours of interviews, Lauren gained the trust of a monster. After maintaining his innocence for decades, Little confessed to the murders of ninety-three women, often drawing his victims in haunting detail as he spoke. How could one man evade justice, manipulating the system for over four decades? As the FBI, the DOJ, the LAPD, and countless law enforcement officials across the country worked to connect their cold cases with the confessions, Lauren's coverage of the investigations and obsession with Little's victims only escalated. New York Times bestselling author and lead of the Starz docuseries Confronting a Serial Killer Jillian Lauren delivers the harrowing report of her unusual relationship with a psychopath. But this is more than a deep dive into the actions of Samuel Little. Lauren's riveting and emotional accounts reveal the women who were lost to cold files, giving Little's victims a chance to have their stories heard for the first time. The Manuel”Manny” Cuevas family heritage in the fashion industry stems from the creation of handmade iconic looks since the 1950's for artists and entertainers like The Rat Pack Elite, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Salvadore Dali, The Lone Ranger, Johnny Cash and countless more. After helping relocate his father's shop to Nashville, Manny was inspired by the success of the family business and renewed brand recognition gained from the move.  He became more involved with the shop's client relationships and started to design and create more individual garments for those celebrity clientele. Manny worked with many of his fathers clientele making individual pieces for Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Jr., and Dwight Yoakam to name a few. Manny realized the full potential for the Manuel brand and was ready to create a collection and expand the family brand. Manny worked with a manufacturer to create the first large production of designs from the Manuel Shop.  “The Manuel Collection” represented a unity and togetherness between both father and son and was the first time Manny began to learn about large manufactured production runs. The launch of the Manuel Exclusive collection started the family's Manuel brand PR buzz with articles written in “The New York Post”, “Flaunt Magazine”, “GQ”, “Vouge” & “Vanity Fair”. The following week a major marketing push occurred during Oscar Week in Los Angeles at a press and celebrity attended week long showing of the collection. The collection sold at many prominent boutiques across the country as well as Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales. This experience exposed Manny to the full cycle of a large scale production of a fashion line. From the beginning concept drawings, CAD design, traveling the world sourcing material, working with the factories in Italy, on fabrication creating and managing budgets, producing a fashion show as well as other efforts for promoting and selling the collection, this experience gave Manny a unique insight to all phases of producing and running a fashion line.In 2009 Manny began an endeavor to create a brand of his own, by continuing The living legacy as Owner and Designer of Wear It Out by Manny designing for such artists as; The Band Perry, Ronnie Dunn, Daniel Peck, Bridget Tatum, Kieth Gattis and Paul McDonald of American Idol. Manny is focused on creating new designs, hand made garments, producing limited run collections, as well as consulting for other fashion brands. http://www.wearitoutbymanny.com/about-manny-cuevas/Host - Trey Mitchelltreymitchellphotography IG and FBfeeding_the_senses_unsensored on IG and FBFor Sponsorship Information or Questions -  ftsunashville@gmail.comTheme Song - Damien HorneTake It From Me @damienhorne

The irresistible six-track set is a showcase of the newcomer's evocative, colorful brand of pop, and it includes viral hits “Clean,” “One More Weekend,” and “Furniture,” as well as the standout title track. Listen to Strangers Forever HERE.“Strangers Forever” is the kind of unfiltered diary entry set to music that makes Latour one of alt-pop's most exciting new talents. The emotional pop track finds the 21-year-old trying and failing to come to grips with a breakup. “I love you but you wanna be somebody else's baby,” Latour sings. “You love me but you're over it and you start to hate me.” The pain of a one-sided split is aptly conveyed in the Tess Lafia-directed official video, in which Latour watches home movies and interacts with the literal ghost of her ex. Watch it HERE.Kicking off next month, Maude will embark on a sold out, four-date run of intimate live shows to celebrate the release of Strangers Forever, making stops in NYC, Chicago, Washington, DC, and Los Angeles. Check out full dates below. The breakout artist—who hails from New York City (by way of London, Hong Kong, and Sweden)—first made waves back in 2019 with an independently released EP called Starsick. We had the pleasure of interviewing almost monday over Zoom video! San Diego-based alt-pop trio almost monday, who People Magazine recently declared an “emerging artist making their mark on the musical landscape,” have today released their sophomore EP til the end of time. Five tracks in length, til the end of time is chock-full of almost monday's signature California sound. Additionally, almost monday also today released the official music video for the EP's title track.Click HERE to watchtil the end of time's first single “live forever” was met with praise by many critics including music tastemaker Zane Lowe, who personally world-premiered the tune on his Apple Music Beats 1 radio show, and EARMILK, who described it as “a fun, upbeat sing-along track that enlists a festival-ready chorus sure to rock stages when live touring returns.” On its heels, “hailey beebs” coasts along on a downtempo groove wrapped in warm shimmering keys. almost monday's vocalist Dawson Daugherty delivers the quotable reprise with playful swagger before confidently carrying the swooning refrain, “I'm alive with you.” Ones To Watch called it the “perfect summer song” and praised the group–rounded out by guitarist Cole Clisby and bassist Luke Fabry–by saying they “should be everyone's go-to for an instant mood-booster.” Elsewhere on the EP, “this is growing up” gallops from a danceable groove into the rush of an arena-sized hook, while “til the end of time” hops along on tambourine and a funky riff towards a bright and bold refrain. The EP closes out with a stripped-down version of “this is growing up.”til the end of time follows almost monday's debut EP don't say you're ordinary. Despite being released in the middle of a pandemic, the trio was able to make waves with their first single “broken people.”  It landed them  a  Top 20  spot  on  Alternative Radio and led to a  collab  with GRAMMY-nominated duo  Sofi  Tukker. To date, the group has generated more than  42  million combined  audio and video streams and have been declared ones to watch in 2021 by GQ, FLAUNT Magazine, Amazon Music, Shazam and more.Showing no signs of slowing down, almost monday are set to hit the stage and make their debut at some of the biggest festivals across the country this year including Lollapalooza Music Festival, Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, BottleRock Napa Valley Music Festival and Firefly Music Festival. About almost monday:  After countless garage jams, D.I.Y. gigs in the back of a surf shop, and innumerable hours writing together,  almost monday  bottle California sunshine in their funky basslines, ecstatic choruses, and danceable grooves.  It turns out the world needed some Cali rays during the pandemic as the band managed to emerge in 2020 with an unprecedented 30 million overall streams, uplifting audiences everywhere in the process.  The San Diego trio—Dawson Daugherty  (vocals),  Cole  Clisby  (guitar) and  Luke Fabry  (bass)— crafted their 2020 debut EP  don't say you're ordinary  in Brooklyn and Los Angeles with producers Mark Needham (The Killers, Fleetwood Mac) and Simon  Oscroft  (The Naked and Famous, DREAMERS).  don't say you're ordinary  ignited a string of buzzing anthems, beginning with “parking lot view” and “come on come on.” Meanwhile, the lead single “broken people,” and the Sofi  Tukker  remix, crystallized their sun-kissed signature style with a bold bass bounce and empowering refrain as it's generated nearly 32 million combined audio and video streams so far and cracked the Top 20 at Alternative Radio. Along the way, they've attracted a growing fan base through a combination of danceable rhythms and uplifting hooks. In 2021, they set the stage for their second EP til the end of time with “live forever,” received praise from  Earmilk,  Flaunt,  Ones To Watch, and more right out of the gate. Additionally,  Alternative Press  touted it and included them among  “40 New Artists You Need To Hear in February,”  and  GQ  Australia  predicted them to be one of  “21 Breakout Musicians to Know in 2021.” The band will also make their festival debut at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, BottleRock, and Firefly this year.  With the release of  til the end of time almost  monday  only accelerate their momentum and emerge as the consummate purveyors of future-facing California pop.  We want to hear from you! Together with American Songwriter and Sean Ulbs of The Eiffels, we had the pleasure of interviewing Jutes over Zoom audio!Jutes molds alternative, pop-punk, and hip-hop into anthems bold enough to soundtrack memories you hold on to forever. Often hypnotic, regularly hard-hitting, and always heartfelt, his music has already gathered 20 million-plus global streams and garnered praise and support from Alternative Press, Elevator Magazine, OnesToWatch, Earmilk, and Apple Music’s Beats 1, to name a few. He’s certainly come a long way from the 100-acre farm in Kars, Ontario he calls home. Beyond countless hours among the solitude of a super-small town and in the company of a bevy of animals, he devoured classics by Red Hot Chili Peppers, OutKast, and Ludacris. In 2015, he introduced himself through packed underground shows and a lo-fi, yet lush hybrid style. Putting numbers on the board, Jutes made waves with the independent breakout “Cocaine Cinderella,” amassing nearly 5 million streams and turning heads. Settling in Los Angeles, a prolific string of bangers such as “Devil” and “Too Easy” further amplified his impact. Along the way, he signed to Capitol Records and unveiled the debut Overrated EP in 2020. The project crystallized his sound as Flaunt Magazine dubbed the EP “a genre blending experience.”However, he levels up once again with the seven-track A Really Bad Dream EP. On “Backseat (Kiss Me),” he spins the Sixpence None The Richer hit “Kiss Me” around with nimble rhymes and an emotionally charged bounce. Meanwhile, the single “Say It First” skates over a glassy beat and slick guitar towards a swooning R&B refrain. With more music and surprises on the horizon, Jutes turns his diary into your soundtrack. We want to hear from you! "I grew up in the suburbs of Toronto surrounded by shopping carts and old ladies in headscarves. That’s all I knew for the longest time. Housing developments, strip malls, backyards and Jewish summer camp. It was comforting, one of those good childhoods and I loved it. As I got older I caught the notion of other things, other places I wanted to see. I fled straight for the city, and then kept going till I managed to get as far away I could. At some point I started taking photos. Photos of shopping carts and old ladies in headscarves, people wandering around strip malls. It didn’t matter what city I was in, I’d find them, these people that seemed so familiar to me. I’d get so close to them with my camera they would be forced to talk to me. They’d ask me why and I would tell them that I thought they were beautiful."   Resources:   Michelle Groskopf   Shawn Theodore   Guy Bolongaro   Download the free Candid Frame app for your favorite smart device.
