We are back back with part 2 of Goliath Returns. Michael is currently in the dungeon Garthe sent him to, and he has to get out to save KITT, Devon, April and the doctor who is being sold off. They also have to face Goliath one more time. Who will win! listen to find out. Also, in this episode since it was split we just get right to the second part.
The glorious evil twin (is that even the right word?) Garthe (the 'e' is silent) Knight returns. His giant, indestructible truck, Goliath, and breaks him out of the super max prison made of styrofoam and now he is out for vengeance. He wants Micael Knight dead, and also to kidnap some doctor and sell him to some other country(?). The plot doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but we have multiple doubles, and lots of car vs. truck action. Check it out!
It's with a heavy heart that we we end our Summer Knights series with this episode and bid a fond farewell to Garthe and Goliath. Unfortunately, it's in a rather boring episode. But thankfully there's some good stuff sprinkled throughout, like Dr. Adrienne wanting to test out Garthe and Michael's Knight Sticks to see who she likes better, Kitt doctoring audio clips like a political operative, and a drowning truck screaming like a dinosaur. We'll miss you, Garthe. We'll miss you, Goliath. Programming note: We're taking the month of August off but we'll be back in early September with the start of the Spooky Season! After last episode's patriotic diversion with Greatest American Hero, we're back with our Summer Knights series to begin our final battle against Garthe and Goliath. Somehow, Goliath has returned and so has Garthe, sporting a great big bushy beard. This episode has more excitement and energy than both of our previous Knight Rider episodes combined, and Hasselhoff seems to be giving it his all playing Garthe this time around. And there's a bizarre plot involving blood transfusions that also transfer memories (?) but really it's just an excuse to have another doppelganger. If you like the show, give us a rating on Apple Podcasts. And follow us on Twitter at @weirdcenter or Instagram at @weirdnesspodcast (where you can suggest TV shows we should cover on the podcast)!
Our Summer Knights series continues this week, as we check in with Michael and Kitt to see if they can stop Michael's evil doppelgänger Garthe and the “banana-headed bovine” known as Goliath. We discuss further missed story opportunities, bad AI-written scripts, and how everything you want from an “evil twin” episode happens off-screen. If you like the show, give us a rating on Apple Podcasts. And follow us on Twitter at @weirdcenter or Instagram at @weirdnesspodcast (where you can suggest TV shows we should cover on the podcast)!

As a former chemist turned lawyer, he focuses on intellectual property law with an emphasis on online enforcement and litigation. In this episode… When it comes to patent infringements, court proceedings can be a long and arduous process, with many disputes remaining unresolved. So, how can you streamline the procedure and effectively manage violations by unauthorized sellers? The Amazon Patent Evaluation Express (APEX) program offers a viable option to remove unauthorized listings. After filing a complaint, Amazon will procure an independent evaluator to assess the patent infringement. Both the brand and the seller must fill out a contract and agree to the proceeding, upon which Amazon will provide you with a patent attorney. According to Zac Garthe, only 15% of sellers will agree to the proceeding, with the majority yielding, prompting Amazon to remove their listing. With this program, brands can regain control of their patents in as few as four months. In today's episode of The Digital Deep Dive, Aaron Conant sits down with Zac Garthe, Founding Partner at Copernicus Law, to discuss Amazon's patent infringement program. Zac shares Amazon's process for identifying violations, the benefits of leveraging this program, and tips for approaching legalized patent disputes.

Link to bioRxiv paper: http://biorxiv.org/cgi/content/short/2020.08.10.242966v1?rss=1 Authors: Berdugo-Vega, G., Lee, C.-C., Garthe, A., Kempermann, G., Calegari, F. Abstract: The dentate gyrus (DG) of the hippocampus is fundamental for cognitive flexibility and has the extraordinary ability to generate new neurons throughout life. Recent evidence suggested that adult-born neurons differentially modulate input to the DG during the processing of spatial information and novelty. However, how this differential regulation by neurogenesis is translated into different aspects contributing cognitive flexibility is unclear. Here, we increased adult-born neurons by a genetic expansion of neural stem cells and studied their influence during navigational learning. We found that increased neurogenesis improved memory precision, indexing and retention and that each of these gains was associated with a differential activation of specific DG compartments and better separation of memory representations in the DG-CA3 network. Our results highlight the role of adult-born neurons in promoting memory precision in the infrapyramidal and indexing in the suprapyramidal blade of the DG and together contributing to cognitive flexibility. #001: September 2013. That's the last time I remember having an in-depth conversation with my guest, Justin, about our marriage. Until now. On this episode, Justin and I try to make sense of why our marriage failed and what we both learned the hard way about ourselves and the institution of marriage. Hear from Justin himself what he's always wanted the chance to tell me. Hint: It's his "my ex-wife" one-up show stopper. Show notes including full transcript can be found at www.candykiss.com. About The Show We all want the secret to a happy marriage. Thousands and thousands of hours are spent talking about marriage, thinking about marriage, analyzing marriage. Anyone who has been married knows that marriage is hard. Stress from everyday life spills over into our interactions with our partner. We all wish we had the skill set required to productively communicate under stress. We often fall short of that ideal. What can we learn from a marriage that failed under the stress of two demanding jobs and two small children? The transition to parenthood is one of the greatest periods of decline in marital satisfaction most couples ever experience. In this episode, we hear what that stress sounds like in a real world example, and we learn how couples can best protect themselves after the birth of their first child. Why do some couples fair better than others? Let’s learn together. 001’s Guest Justin is a vascular surgeon who grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. We met in our mid-20s in the Mississippi Delta while teaching in the Teach for America Americorps program. We got married in 2002 in my hometown of Malvern, PA, had our daughters Stevin in 2006 and Rowan in 2008, and got divorced in 2015. He gave marriage another try, marrying Micah in 2018. And he was brave enough and good-hearted enough to be my first guest on this podcast. Michael Knight finds out he has an evil twin of sorts, Garthe, and his twin is out for revenge for Michael taking over his face. Also, for some reason the widow of the man who started the whole foundation, and also Garthe's mom is in on the whole evil plot to steal the formula for KITT's shell. They use this to make Goliath, a giant indestructible truck to steal some missiles.
