This summer I am re-releasing some of your favorite past episodes. On today's episode, I'm sharing a conversation with Pastor Gary Hamrick, pastor of Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, Virginia, where we discuss the importance of engaging in politics. I know many Christians struggle with this, and many non-Christians take the stance of separation of church and state. But we need to stand boldly to protect our religious freedom – and we need to know who is representing us and what their values are at every level from local to state to national elections. I encourage you to listen to this message and share it with those who might also be encouraged by it.     For more resources and additional episodes visit https://cissiegrahamlynch.com.

EP103: Coach Emmaline - Discovering a healthy balance in life Today I welcome online coach, author of Ripper Recipes and one of the fastest growing advocates of living a healthy, balanced life without feeling deprived, Emmaline Howard. I first discovered Emmaline in one of her highly entertaining, slightly potty mouthed and extremely informative reels sharing a low calorie, high protein recipe for some tasty looking pasta. From there I have been following her insights, advice and ideas related to living a healthy life. Emmaline has been through the journey herself experiencing emotional eating, binging and a feeling of not having control over her relationship with food. Her decision to make changes and transform her life has sparked an amazing new direction for her, not only becoming much healthier and enjoying life more, but helping so many others to do the same through coaching. Listen as we talk about the importance of finding a way of eating and exercising that fits your schedule, realising that there is no "one size fits all" approach and how in fact trying to follow in this way only leads to a negative outcome. Emmaline shares her advice for anyone wanting to make changes from both a physical and mental standpoint, highlighting the importance of not depriving yourself and needing to be realistic about finding a balanced lifestyle. If you don't already follow Emmaline on Instagram, be sure to do it now >> @coachemmaline Her amazing recipe E-Book, Ripper recipes is full of high protein, low calorie meals that allow you to feel like you're eating in a "normal" way...Pasta, wraps, burgers.... Emmaline shows you that losing weight does not have to mean a life of restriction. I'll be giving a copy awat to one of you lucky listeners, so head over to the WLW account on Instagram and enter for your chance to win. A special thanks to Coach Emmaline for joining me on the Weight Loss Warrior podcast and I wish her every success in the future! If a relationship was to be compared to a yin yang symbol, when one half of the symbol becomes inflated, the other half has only one choice- to shrink; since they're occupying the same space. A push pull dynamic can be created and imbalance within the relationships in our life can be formed. Whether internally, within our own bodies, or externally in our relationships and environment, balance is always being pursued. This episode discusses how this can show up in our world. Welcome to Green Wisdom Health. Today, we delve deep into the often misunderstood gut and digestive issues and dissect the uncomfortable signs and symptoms plaguing many of us, like gas, bloating, and that persistent, large stomach area. We'll unravel the mysteries of probiotics and digestive enzymes, their critical roles in gut health, and why your liver might need more support than you think. Dr. Lewis' extensive knowledge of nutrition and digestion, with his in-depth understanding of the intricate connections between diet, digestion, and overall wellness, comprehensively examines why your gut might be at the root of various health issues. "Your digestive health is the cornerstone of your well-being. Neglect it, and you may find the foundation of your health crumbling unexpectedly." ~Dr. Stephen Lewis Today on Green Wisdom Health: Recognizing the subtle signs of digestive discomfort, including frequent bloating, gas, and a distended stomach. Understanding the distinction between probiotics, which balance gut flora, and digestive enzymes, which ensure proper food breakdown. How medications and environmental toxins like chlorine can deplete your natural probiotics, emphasizing the importance of daily replenishment. Supporting your liver's detoxification process with the necessary nutrients is paramount for overall health and depends on enzymes. How specific enzymes and nutrients can support post-gallbladder removal and the proper digestion of fats. The connection between mental cognition, mood, and disease presence often finds its roots in gut health; thus, repairing the gut is essential. Establishing a four-step plan to restore gut health: remove, replace, replenish, and repair. Holistic wellness requires awareness of lifestyle habits—we must be proactive in our pursuit of health to prevent future illnesses. today's episode is so special to me- as someone who has struggled with burnout a bit in the past, and have found tools and a ways to avoid it, I am so excited to share with you guys!!!My "BALANCE > BURNOUT" cycle:Phase 1) Creativity/inspo- taking time to get into a creative mindset, seek inspiration, journal, explore, set intentions for your work phase ahead. (This stage is important so that you go into the hustle with purpose & excitement)Phase 2) Hard work/Hustle- getting the work DONE! Work hard, work smart, make the moves, check off the todo list, grind it out! (Hard work is GOOD - just not by itself!)Phase 3) Rest & rReflection- probably the MOST important phase because this is the time you grow. You worked your 'muscles' & this is where they build back up, grow & become! Take time to do activities that bring your soul rest & peace. Also reflect on the hard work, what are you proud of/ what can you do better next time?  This naturally leads to the inspo phase again!Weekly Challenge:When is the last time you experienced burnout / near burnout? A PBSE listener describes a situation that many partners of addicts face. Here's how she describes it. See if you can relate—My partner has been in recovery for only 3 months now and it was then that I found out about all of the disclosure of his addiction. He has had 2 relapses since then and has been honest about where he is in his recovery. He is in a 12 step program and has expressed that he is struggling with shame, guilt and feeling like a failure. Your podcast is truly helping me recognize I can't control his recovery and I am only responsible for my own but sometimes the fear and insecurities are overwhelming when he is in these moments because I fear they mean he is going to act out. I know I can't plan for them happening but I don't know what the best way to react to him when he is honest about these relapses. I genuinely want to be supportive and I do appreciate him being honest, but I struggle with feeling like by supporting him during those moments mean I don't have any boundaries and am enabling him by not over reacting during these moments. His relapses haven't been cheating but because of my own betrayal trauma I am terrified that they are leading up to that. I want to be supportive to his addiction and also give him a safe space to share when/if slips happen but I don't know the heathy or best route to take when he does disclose these moments to me.-   Mark and Steve share personal examples of how this was in their marriages. -  Very common for Spouses to ask this question/balance on this tightrope–What response has the best chance of him continuing to take his recovery seriously?-  Responding to his inauthenticity with your own inauthenticity/control is not helpful!-  How long will your “control/making him change,” carry him in his recovery?-  Compulsion vs. Conversion in recovery-  Be a “clear window” and a "mirror" to him–that is AUTHENTIC!-  PUT IT BACK ON HIM as opposed to constant “outside pressure” as his motivation, which keeps him IMMATURE in his recovery! -  Anger and control keeps the focus OFF OF HIM and drains you of all the energy that YOU NEED FOR YOUR OWN HEALING! -  An addict that is not taking this seriously does not deserve you taking it seriously! You can't care more than he does!  Learn more about Mark and Steve's revolutionary online porn/sexual addiction recovery and betrayal trauma healing program—"Dare to Connect!" Over the years, Ashley had struggled with her weight and suffered challenges with both being overweight, and also dangerously thin. We discuss how the unhealthy relationship with managing her weight created a number of issues and made day to day activities difficult.   Ashley was a self-confessed yo yo dieter before addressing some of the underlying issues concerning weight management and finding a method that worked for Ashley, we hear how food was at the forefront of her mind and interfered with her happiness. We also talk about the impact of pregnancy and post partum weight loss, where Ashley shares her journey through some of the most difficult moments one could ever expect to experience. I found this episode especially inspiring as Ashley shares how she turned to therapy in order to improve her mental health, and the amazing knock-on effect it had on other areas of her life, including weight loss.  Ashley was able to find a successful weight management plan and uses WW to progress through her weight loss journey after having her third child. The 5D Academy with Zarathustra explores universal wisdom to foster total freedom from suffering in all areas of your life; health, wealth, love, and self.   Each Academy podcast contains valuable insights and takeaways to become the best version of yourself and create an authentic, fulfilling life. Zarathustra transmits 5th Dimensional Quantum frequencies in each episode with transformational tools while discussing different topics to help you maintain this new frequency in your daily life.   Zarathustra has created a practical system of transmitting the truth to his audience allowing transformation and freedom from suffering. Spiritual development requires an open heart. It is virtually impossible for a seeker to advance to higher consciousness if they don't love themselves. The belief system which has been ingrained in our cellular memory from childhood that we are not good enough results in a conditioned mind. The conditioned mind holds the false belief that there is something missing in our lives, that we are incomplete, that we need to gain something in order to become happy and whole, which is not true. After a life time of searching, Zarathustra has blended a practical system of Eastern and Western methods and techniques to help the Academy members to free themselves from anxiety, negative thoughts, lack of self-love and self-acceptance and destructive emotional patterns through a systematic way to raise your vibration to 5D Vibrational Frequency, which enables you to live a vibrant life of freedom and happiness.   The Key Elements To Freedom:   Zarathustra recognizes continuity and consistency are the key elements to freedom. In order to help you achieve your spiritual goals, it's best to have a highly effective spiritual practice, free of dogmas, false beliefs and superstition that helps you raise your vibration to 5D Vibrational Frequency as well as the ability to maintain this newly found higher level of consciousness. This translates to a life filled with inner peace, self-love and happiness which is the goal of every spiritual seeker.   New knowledge and benefits are gained with each replay. In place of confusing life patterns, the security of a healthy balance From the Holy Rule of St. Benedict: CHAPTER XLI From holy Easter till Pentecost let the brethren dine at the sixth hour and take supper in the evening. From Pentecost on, however, during the whole summer, if the monks have no work in the fields and the excess of the heat doth not interfere, let them fast on Wednesday and Friday until the ninth hour; but on the other days let them dine at the sixth hour. This sixth hour for dinner is to be continued, if they have work in the fields or the heat of the summer is great. Let the Abbot provide for this; and so let him manage and adapt everything that souls may be saved, and that what the brethren do, they may do without having a reasonable cause to murmur. From the ides of September until the beginning of Lent let them always dine at the ninth hour. During Lent, however, until Easter, let them dine in the evening. But let this evening hour be so arranged that they will not need lamp-light during their meal; but let everything be finished whilst it is still day. But at all times let the hour of meals, whether for dinner or for supper, be so arranged that everything is done by daylight.
