Heldigvis giver Fodboldlisten dig her en top 6 over Riemers kommende store beslutninger.
Derudover lidt groovy James Brown. Vært: Thomas Loft

Take a look at Conducttr's services and its crisis exercise software at: https://www.conducttr.com This is a conversation with Kenneth Pollack about one single question - why do militaries of Arab nations, despite often having superiority in numbers and better equipment than their opponents, tend to hugely underperform in modern military conflicts? And often end up losing wars which in theory they should win? It's a question that has been asked by many but no one knows more about it than my guest. He spent 30 years as an analyst in the CIA studying the Middle East and the militaries of both U.S. partners and adversaries. After leaving the CIA he became an academic and dedicated his academic career to answering this question. And so this is what we talk about - what is the real reason that Arab militaries tend to be notoriously ineffective, how does culture, economy or politics influence how they fight or why do organizations like Hezbollah seem to defy this rule and are a lot more effective than many larger and better equipped traditional Arab armies.

Rasmus Højlund scorede hattrick i sejren på 3-1 over Finland torsdag aften.

Kenneth M Terry's children's book 'Percy's Dream' is a delightful and beautifully illustrated story of a leaf named Percy; whose view of the sky is blocked by the other leaves on the tree above him. At night his dreams are about being on top of a tree and seeing the sky. As time passes, Percy stays steadfast to hope and determination that he will one day get a glimpse of the sky, he so longs to see. The book does have a happy ending that children will enjoy and they will want to read it over and over again. Mr Terry believes the lessons that your children can learn by reading this story are to pursue one's dreams, hold fast to hope and be determined to see what they desire come true. Hosted on Acast. For a long time, Ray Huang's influential book 1587: A Year of No Significance has colored our imagination of the Late Ming, painting the Ming as a state that was stagnant and in decline. Traditional historiography usually focuses on the poor finances of the Ming state, its inability to pay troops, its poor military performance against the peasant rebels and the Manchus, and its factionalism. While all these are true to an extent, more recent scholarships have also uncovered another side to the late Ming - one of military success and military innovation. Professor Kenneth Swope, an expert on Ming military history and author of numerous monographs and articles on the topic, joins us to talk about these new narratives of the late Ming's successes and failures. Contributors Professor Kenneth Swope Professor Kenneth Swope is a Professor of History & Senior Fellow of the Dale Center for the Study of War & Society at the University of Southern Mississippi. He is an expert on Chinese military history, particularly Ming military history and has published numerous monographs, articles, and book chapters on the topic. Yiming Ha Yiming Ha is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of History at the University of California, Los Angeles. His current research is on military mobilization and state-building in China between the thirteenth and seventeenth centuries, focusing on how military institutions changed over time, how the state responded to these changes, the disconnect between the center and localities, and the broader implications that the military had on the state. His project highlights in particular the role of the Mongol Yuan in introducing an alternative form of military mobilization that radically transformed the Chinese state. He is also interested in military history, nomadic history, comparative Eurasian state-building, and the history of maritime interactions in early modern East Asia. Horwitz. Between the covers of Deep Flavors, Horwitz combines his hunger for cooking with his passion for making international and regional favorites accessible for home cooks including those who prefer to observe some or all of the rules for kosher foods. The Texas State Fair Blue Ribbon-winning Spinach/Mushroom Lasagna, for instance, is a completely vegetarian lasagna accessible to Jews, vegetarians and foodies, with a unique twist on ingredients that gives it a complex flavor profile. Even recipes for classic foods such as brisket and roast turkey contain newly imagined taste combinations and techniques to elevate them while maintaining recognizable hallmarks of each dish. The Beet Borscht, a family recipe from Horwitz's grandmother, is somewhat unusual in that it is vegetarian. "A non-Jewish friend almost refused to eat it because he does not like beets; he had a third helping that evening,” Horwitz shared. Woven throughout this eclectic anthology of Jewish family recipes and original kosher dishes are flavorful reminiscences

The cybernetics community owes a great debt of thanks to the editors of Routledge Library Editions: Philosophy of Mind series, for bringing to light a neglected classic of the field in 2015. It was then that their reprint of Kenneth M. Sayre’s Cybernetics and the Philosophy of Mind appeared. Originally published in 1976, Sayre’s book proffers cybernetics as nothing less than a solution to the mind/body problem through a kind of “informational monism” reminiscent of the thought of Gregory Bateson. As such, it provides as fulsomely developed a cybernetic theory as one is likely to find anywhere; one that most certainly deserves a place in the canon of the field’s most substantial works. In my in-depth conversation with Dr. Sayre, now Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at Notre Dame University, we explore the relationship between the “two entropies” of information theory and thermodynamics, parse the notion of feedback into even more fine-grained categories of homeostatic, heterotelic, sentient, and anticipatory, and trace the role of these various types of feedback in processes of evolutionary adaptation, behavioral conditioning and consciousness as well as the development of social structures, language and reasoning leading to the maximization of “negentropic flexibility.” The result is a deeply thought-provoking glimpse of a rigorously argued cybernetic framework deserving of considerable attention within and beyond the field. Join host, Greg Carlwood, of The Higherside Chats podcast as he talks about the role of big banking and industrial oil in the dramatic demise of both the Titanic and Hindenburg with guest, Kenneth M. Price Jr. We all know the lore surrounding the sinking of the Titanic and annihilation of the Hindenburg, and the subsequent theories involving the Federal Reserve that have circulated around conspiracy cliques for decades. But, while we have been enamored by these tales of corrupt banking cabals, a second sinister scheme lay afoot. Today's guest, Kenneth Price, has spent a lifetime working in "Big Oil" and has since dedicated his time to researching the nefarious actions of these wealthy industrialists. Through his research, he has been able to shed a light on the suppression of technology and the extreme lengths the elite have taken to preserve their stranglehold on more efficient energy resources and continue the forced petroleum dependence that has handicapped us and allowed them to profit from poisoning our planet. After listening to John Hamer on THC, Kenneth reached out and offered his expertise to, The Higherside. 2:50 Kicking things off, Greg and Kenneth begin by discussing how this study of the industrial era, where elite families cemented their control and consolidated their wealth, became such a preoccupation for Price. With his appearance on THC being one of his first public speaking engagements, Price details his background working in the industry, the effects and importance this has had in his understanding of the truth, and the 1985 discovery of the Titanic's wreckage that served as the foundation for his investigations. He also elaborates of the findings of an independent expedition of divers, Chatterton and Kohler, and what their findings may imply. 11:11 After dismantling the traditional narrative that the Titanic sank due to being struck by an iceberg and detailing the various inconsistencies in the evidence presented, Greg and Kenneth discuss the possible alternatives that could have occurred. If it didn't sink like we have been lead to believe, was is demolished? Price adds an additional layer to already thickening plot by recollecting the sister ships of the Titanic, the Olympic and the Britannic, both of which enjoyed lengthy commissions. He continues by explaining the motives behind the oil industries vicious attacks on steam engines that manifested from their contempt for competition. 16:03 Another chilling aspect of Titanic sinking is the inevitable effects it had on air travel. Kenneth explains how the ship's sinking coincided with the birth of aviation and the propaganda that followed and force fed fear to travelers enjoying their newfound freedom of the high seas, while redirecting their sights towards a safer alternative in the skies. 20:26 Hopping back to the larger story, Greg and Kenneth revisit the catastrophic destruction of the Hindenburg. Price provides some background on the mechanics and capabilities and consumer experience of large airships, such as the Graf Zeppelin and Hindenburg. 30:42 Greg and Kenneth discuss what may have really happened during the evacuation of the Titanic. While history books may sing of the heroic actions of first class passengers forgoing their spots aboard the lifeboats, Price recounts a different version of events where third class passengers were never alarmed, effectively destroying any chance of survival. Kenneth also discusses the anomaly of the missing bones. He details why he believes there have been no skeletal remains recovered from the wreckage and instead, what could have happened to the passengers. 35:20 Greg and Kenneth discuss the evidence that may suggest the Hindenburg was indeed a false flag, and not the tragic accident we have been to believe that it was. Price also offers some perspective when comparing modern day disasters to the calamity of the Hindenburg. 43:50 Greg and Kenneth discuss how these unimaginable traged...

In this month's edition of "Storytime Station", Western North Carolina author Kenneth Elliott, Ph. D., reads his own book "The Butterfly Lizard". While searching for new playmates, the Butterfly Lizard realizes for the first time that he is different from others. His journey becomes a quest for understanding of himself and the differences of the playmates he finds. In the end, he realizes that our differences are what give each of us our uniqueness and makes the world a fun and amazing place. Kenneth M. Elliott has a Ph.D. in Organization and Management, and is currently the Executive Officer of Technology Services at Catawba Valley Community College. The artwork and illustrations in the book, and in this video podcast were created by Ben Precup. You can purchase a physical copy of this book through Amazon by clicking this link.
