In anticipation of the 51st Annual Meeting and Cancer Center Business Summit (AMCCBS), ACCCBuzz spoke with this year's keynote speaker, Nick Webb, who gave some insight into what AMCCBS attendees can expect from his session. As a health care futurist, Nick's consulting practice is centered around the future of health care and trends that are both already present and fast-approaching. One trend Nick plans to speak to in his keynote is hyper-consumerism and how it is impacting patients' experience with health care. Namely, patients today want customization, transparency, and humanity—among other things. They want relationships that are more than just the transaction of health care. Nick will dive into best practices to create experiential value for patients, as well as ways to leverage technological innovations like artificial intelligence to take the pressure off providers and free up their time so they can engage and create meaningful relationships with patients.  Guest:   Nick Webb Health Care Futurist Author, Chaotic Change: Embracing Chaos to Drive Innovation and Growth  Quote:   “[Patients today] want humanity. They want the relationship to be more than just the transaction of health care. The best organizations...are going to make the transition from the transaction of health care to the experiential value of health care.”  Register for the 51st AMCCBS and view the full agenda on the ACCC website.   Additional Resources:   ePROs: Lighting the Way to Improved Outcomes Efficiency and Patient Experience -- Oncology Issues   The Future of the Patient Experience — [MINI PODCAST] EP 137  Healthcare Burnout: An Epidemic Among Oncology Nurses  A Toxic Mixture: Burnout in Oncology Pharmacy  2024 Trending Now in Cancer Care Part 2 – Oncology Issues

In This Episode:Mike introduces Tyler to one of his favorite people as Nick Webb joins the Richest Men In Town family. Nick is a guy that has dedicated his life to building community one relationship at a time. He believes that finding and building relationships always lead to positive things. By following the examples of strong models like his grandmother, he has dedicated himself to giving back to make things better for other people, especially teenagers and young adults. Six years ago, Nick learned the truth that having kids changes everything, and he lets the guys in on what his twin "million dollar" boys mean to him and his wife Abby.  His dad adventure started with a couple of months in the NICU and, looking back, he wouldn't have it any other way. Being a husband and a father has helped Nick redefine what life is really all about and this perspective gives him the power to be a man of influence to everyone around him. Nick Webb, thank you for the way you are living every day and for the way that you showed up to tell your story. Keep going, brother. Listeners, grab a pen and a pad and tune in to Nick's story. Léo Gandelman, Djavan, Gal Costa, Gilberto Gil, Cazuza, Caetano Veloso o Marina Lima. Time travel, one of mankind's fervent desires. We do it here: we travel back in time to remember great Smooth Jazz hits that are already iconic. Tracks that remain in our memory but that we didn't remember. We refresh you musically. Headphones, sofa and 60 minutes of your time... that's all we ask of you. We go from the impressive Hardcastle - yes, the one from that 19th that we still remember - to the late Nick Colionne who left us in January this year. I pursued an ADHD diagnosis with many professionals, only to be refused an assessment with two and granted an assessment with one who decided there was nothing significantly amiss with me – just a little anxiety. Seriously?!  The two that turned me away said it would be a waste of time (whose time?) to assess me and the one that did, asked questions and did testing that would never have confirmed a diagnosis because they weren't properly trained to assess me as an adult woman.  It was very discouraging. Peri-menopause was the great equalizer.  When my brain function went offline, all the skills and strategies I had successfully used prior to that hormonal shift stopped working for me.  I had developed my EF skills well enough to get my education and successfully serve clients in my private practice, however, my skills weren't developed in the methodical manner I developed them after “my cognitive fall.”  What a gift that time in my life was for me, and what was to transpire as a result.   Developing your Executive Function Skills and shifting your limiting beliefs is the fastest and most effective way to overcome ADHD limitations, find focus, gain confidence, and newfound freedom in your life! My mission is to put an end to the worldwide needless suffering of adults with ADHD and those with under-developed Executive Function Skills - whether from ADHD, chronic depression or anxiety, trauma, addictions, or chronic illnesses.  And, you don't need a formal diagnosis to know you need help developing these executive function skills in order to greatly reduce your suffering.   Episode Resources: Put yourself on the informational Waitlist for the ADDventures In Achievement Foundational Skills Program, so that you receive all the amazing emails we've written to both educate you about Executive Function skills as well as the details of the program; there is absolutely no obligation by being on the Waitlist.  You'll thank yourself for getting informed:  https://www.drbarbaracohen.com/AIAWaitlist    Free Video and e-Book - Many Mental Health Providers & ADHD:  https://www.drbarbaracohen.com/elephant-in-the-room  13 EF Skills:  https://www.drbarbaracohen.com/Executive-Function Take Control of Your Life with MasterClasses: https://www.drbarbaracohen.com/MasterClasses  Join the amazing Living Beyond ADHD Facebook Group & hang out with your peeps Follow me on Dr B Facebook Page and enjoy live videos and more Follow me on InstaGram and enjoy relevant resources Download the mp3 audio file and listen whenever you like. I know that I live in a world that uses labels freely.  However, labels easily become identity statements about WHO we are instead of WHAT is challenging to us.  Therefore, I prefer to keep the WHAT as the challenge and the WHO as the sacred, precious child I am and you are.  I choose to BE me; not a label.  How about you?  What do you choose?   To Help The Show: Subscribe at your favorite listening spot and my podcast player has social media links (icons) in the episode player so you can share episodes you love with others!  Please rate the show and leave a thoughtful review on iTunes so I know you're benefiting from the episodes.  The greater the number of reviews, the higher the ranking, and the easier it will be for others to find the show; people who also need this information.   Let's put an end to the worldwide needless suffering together!  We can do this!
