Avenue Red turned up to Affinity at Eastern Bloc Records in Manchester's Northern Quarter back on the 17th July 2024... what a night! Event founder Max Howard AKA Maxxitrax had just kicked off a delightfully enchanting warm-up set and our ever-trusty recorder was plugged into the mixer, soundchecked and activated as quickly as possible... sadly the first few very dazzling and trippy records were missed from the recording, but what was captured 'till the end of his set was just beautiful. Max is clearly a selector's selector with top drawer technical skills. Proper solid intro vibes for a vibrant, hot summers evening session on Stevenson Square, which also later featured Tribe, Damo B and DJ Mindbender. And finally... here it is! "This is a recording of my opening set from my last Affinity party held at Eastern Bloc. I wanted to use the opportunity to play records that I wouldn't get to play in a peak time or closing slot that I will usually play in. I had picked some records out that fit this narrative but turned up without a game plan. Luckily I managed to work things out so that I could play some soul tracks to start out with and then build tension up gradually. I really enjoyed the process, hopefully the listeners will enjoy it too. Tracks from the likes of Sade, Pure Silk, Manual, The Stone Roses, Rennie Foster, Autechre - and labels such as Subject Detroit, Novamute, Peacefrog, Tresor..." ANNA's success has been two decades in the making, stretching back to the nightclub her father owned in the countryside outside São Paulo, where she honed her craft as a DJ from the age of 14. Her journey since then has been marked by passion, hard work and unrelenting dedication to her craft. On the production front, she's dropped critically acclaimed music on virtually every significant label in techno, including Hotflush, Drumcode, NovaMute, Clash Lion, Sapiens, Domino with her Jon Hopkins remix, Afterlife and now Mercury KX. https://anna.dj/intentionshttps://www.instagram.com/djannaofficial __________________________________________NEW ALBUM - "MUSIC FOR THE DECK OF THE TITANIC" (LP) - LISTEN NOW SPOTIFY / APPLENEW VIDEOS - "Cosmic Dance" + 4hr livestream-Ceremony w/Peter Broderick - WATCH NOWCOLLAB ALBUM - "BURREN" - Full LP album w/Peter Broderick. Hello and welcome to episode 41 of The DJ B-12 Deep Acid House Experience. This show is for October of 2022. We have a very special show for you this month. This show is almost entirely oldskool first generation progressive house, along with trance, breaks, acid and techno all from the early to mid 1990's. I really want to thank everyone for the kind words and incredible feedback on the last show, number 40. It's such a beautiful thing hearing about people loving this music and have such fond memories of hearing this stuff back in the day. It's truly such an honor to play this stuff for you in 2022. For this month's show, I have dug even deeper than last month, and we go in much further. A lot of these tracks came from my personal record collection and a few are pretty rare. This has been one of my most challenging mixes yet to date, as a lot of these older tracks don't stay in time very well, so I put a lot of extra work and effort into this episode to bring you the absolute best show possible. The full Tracklist can be found everywhere, except Soundcloud, they don't provide enough space for these mega tracklists, but you can find it everywhere else such as Simplecast, Apple Podcast, Google Podcast and on my Facebook pages. This mix contains 75 tracks and a runtime of just over 3 hours! I hope you love it! Thank you for your support and listenership! If you enjoy these shows and want me to keep making them, please write a rating and review on my Facebook pages: DJ B-12 Deep Acid House Experience | Facebook and DJ B-12 | FacebookPlease listen, like, share, repost and comment on Soundcloud: Stream DJ B-12 music | Listen to songs, albums, playlists for free on SoundCloudPlease listen & Subscribe on these platforms: iTunes / Apple Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/dj-b-12-deep-acid-house-experience/id1465508866Google Podcast: https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkcy5zaW1wbGVjYXN0LmNvbS9hWmxtNV9BaQAudible/Amazon Podcast: https://www.audible.com/pd/DJ-B-12-Deep-Acid-House-Experience-Podcast/B08K569NQ6Simplecast: https://djb12deepacidhouseexperience.simplecast.com/Tunes, remixes and labels: The Spirit , Logic Records, Asli Tanriverdi, Sufi, Dollars 'n Fun, Doi-Oing, Open, Morgan King, Leftfield, OM Records, Dominion, Renaissance Mix, Whoop!, Marine Boy, 108 Grand, Shi-Take, Zoom Records, Quivver, A&M Records, Funkcyde, Dol Enjoy The Vocal, UMM, Jerusalem, King Solomon Dub, Way Out West, Deconstruction, Joi Cardwell, Deep Dish, Eightball Records, Surreal, Fathers of Sound, Whitelake Records, Rockhopper '94, S.C.A.M. Friends, Greetings to all of you out there for another edition of the ESOA Podcast. "Rhythim is Rhythim - Nude Photo" released on "Transmat" is an ultimate classic from 87' and another really great track with the "Detroit" seal of approval. My guest today was, if you like, in charge of it. Everyone should know Thomas Barnett, but surely also some of his aliases like Groove Slave, Subterfuge or Four313, a project in collaboration with Blake Baxter. Today, well over 30 years later, Thomas is still active and can look back on a countless series of productions and releases. In '96 he was to found his own label "Visillusion" but over the years he has also released on a number of international labels. Here are a few examples Transmat, Novamute, Psychothrill, Submerge, Warp, Prime and many more. But his productions are not only known for the club, also for commercials and movies. I am very happy to finally present a first guest from Detroit. I hope you enjoy his exclusive set, here is ESOA Podcast 033 by Thomas Barnett. Stay faithful and stay healthy. Cheers. We're back with episode 24! Recorded in early April 2020, this episode welcomes DJ and producer Luke Slater. @Luke-Slater has been DJing since the late 1980s, and by the 90s, his many aliases had become household names thanks to important releases on labels like Peacefrog, and Nova Mute. By 2009, Luke had joined Ostgut Ton, continuing to tour relentlessly and produce music with seemingly boundless energy — a quality with which he continues to approach his work today. His stamina is endless, and in order to keep up with the continuing love and demand for his music, it has to be. In this episode, our discussion focuses on longevity as a DJ, his mix for Ostgut's 15th anniversary, and the drive that keeps him going. ++ Music: Luke Slater - "O-Ton Reassembled 3" (From his Berghain Fünfzehn mix for Ostgut Ton) More info here: https://www.berghain.berlin/en/shop/releases/berghain-fuenfzehn-luke-slater/ Audio treatment by Airlock Mastering & Audio

Steve Stoll (USA) - NightVision Techno PODCAST 62 Pt. 2 Bio.: Producing pure, minimalist analogue-minded techno in the vein of early Plastikman and Joey Beltram (even though his career began as a drummer with the industrial label Wax Trax), Steve Stoll has recorded for Nova Mute, Probe, DJax, Delirium, Synewave and his own Proper NYC label. Raised in Brooklyn, Stoll listened to hip-hop and disco as a child, then joined the Army straight out of high-school. He served for five years, including a period in the Gulf War when he plotted bomb runs by satellite. After being released, Stoll shifted around: he played drums for the industrial group Sister Machine Gun, studied jazz and began recording straight-edged techno for Big Apple labels like 212 Productions and Damon Wild's Synewave. Stoll debuted for Sm:)e Recordings with the 1995 album Pacemaker. The following year brought another album, Zero Divide (recorded as the Operator) and an EP for Nova Mute (as the Blunted Boy Wonder). After he reverted back to Steve Stoll, Damn Analog Technology followed in 1997 and The Blunted Boy Wonder one year later. He stopped because of parenthood but now picked up the gear again. CONTAINER PODCAST [26] TERENCE FIXMER *Podcast from CLR Terence Fixmer is one of France’s most treasured protagonists. Respected by his peers and adored by his fans, he is equally at ease in both club and festival settings, capable of traversing the gamut of electronic genres from electro, industrial and EBM to techno in its purest form. Since debuting on DJ Hell’s now seminal International Deejay Gigolo Records back in 1998, Fixmer has consistently explored and redefined the boundaries of modern techno, developing a distinct and fiercely original style along the way. His first album for Gigolo, ‘Muscle Machine’ (1999), lit the way for a new take on more dancefloor-focused EBM music, coined “techno body music”, which he would continue to explore on follow-up records for Gigolo as well as Novamute, Datapunk, Music Man and Dave Clarke’s label White Noise. In 2003 he teamed up with Nitzer Ebb vocalist, Douglas McCarthy, to form Fixmer / McCarthy. A partnership that has resulted in two full-length albums, ‘Between The Devil’ (2004) and ‘Into The Night’ (2008) on Synthetic Symphony, and a series of EPs for his own Planete Rouge Records. The duo have performed their energetic live sets at renowned clubs and festivals all across the globe, simultaneously mining the brutality of techno body music and the sensuality of pop to create truly pioneering sound fusions. Whilst Planete Rouge functioned primarily as an outlet for Fixmer / McCarthy works, in 2011 Fixmer reactivated the label with a string of EPs from Emmanuel Top. Newcomers Alexey Volkov and Hubot have since graced the label, with further releases pegged from Emmanuel Top and Fixmer himself to come. But it is with Speedy J’s Electric Deluxe stable that Fixmer has lately been reinventing himself once again. Landing on the label early on with ‘Machine’ at that start of 2009, he has since put out a series of diverse EPs, moving away from his EMB heritage to explore deep and dubbier climes. In 2010 he released his fourth LP, ‘Comedy of Menace’, a true techno album composed from dark atmospheres and hypnotic energy, received to critical acclaim. Releases on Prologue, Turbo, and CLR have since followed, proving Fixmer’s continued relevance and restless aversion to a singular sound. Meanwhile his records have featured on many notable mixes, including Agoria’s Fabric 57 CD and Ben Klock’s latest compilation for the London institution, as well as podcast from luminaries like Juan Atkins, Laurent Garnier and Jon Hopkins. With a fifth full length in the pipeline, Fixmer is showing no signs of slowing down. He is a true innovator who shall remain at the forefront, and a firm favourite of producers, DJs and music lovers from all generations. Seemingly leading the pack of Italy’s rising stars is Uto Karem, who in just a short period of time has produced hit after hit with forward thinking dance tracks that are fast becoming staples for DJs everywhere. With an ability to infuse cutting edge machine music with soulful grooves. Uto Karem is currently making a real name for himself. His productions have found him fans that include the likes of Dubfire, Richie Hawtin, John Acquaviva, Marco Carola, Chris Liebing and many more. Having spent his junior years in London, Uto's music ear was first shaken by bands such as New Order, Depeche Mode and Soft Cell. On his return to Italy at the age of 15, it was Underground Resistance, Novamute and Plus 8 that were having most impact on the young man. In his late teens his DJ career took off, and over the years he has supported many of the worlds greatest deck talents. As with most of today's artists, the natural progression was to produce and after two years of study, he graduated in Audio Engineering. At the end of 2007 he created "agile recordings" a new label born to promote & support quality music. the first release, has become a top seller, being sold out in less than one month.
