We, at Levinson & Associates, want to sincerely thank our Agents for allowing us the opportunity to quote and service all of your Life/Annuity & Insurance needs! Guest Speaker: Natalie Cooper (Levinson Agent) - I come from a long line of insurance agents including my father, his brother, and many of their 1st cousins. I grew up learning from Clement Stone, the founder of Combined Insurance Company of America who my dad and the rest of our insurance family worked for. W. Clement Stone is now a highly recognized motivational inspiration for many in the insurance industry. I recall being gathered around the dinner table and the whole family reciting his famous words—“I feel happy! I feel healthy! I feel terrific!” and always having “PMA”—Positive Mental Attitude. Actually, it was, and still is my father who is my role model. After recently celebrating his 80th birthday and reflecting on all I have learned from him, I can honestly say that it was my parents who gave me my core sense of integrity and ethics that still guide me through life and my career. I grew up in Columbus Ohio and graduated with a BS in accounting with a double major in finance from Franklin University in 1990. A few years later in 1995, after moving to South Florida, I became a licensed insurance agent. The original intent was to work with my father in the tax-deferred annuity and life insurance business and move back to Ohio. Shortly after I became licensed, I realized my home at that time, would remain in south Florida. I began my career working with retiree groups including the City of New York, their unions, and other large employers like Sears and AT&T who offered retiree benefits. This was when I was first introduced to the senior market. I found real satisfaction in dealing with seniors and knowing that I may have been one of the few agents they worked with that put their best interest first. The laws pertaining to marketing to seniors were nearly non-existent and at that time and so many of my clients had been lied to, sold something they didn't need, or strong-armed into a policy they could not afford. The feeling of truly helping a person get what they needed, putting some money back into their pocket, and working with someone they felt they could trust was a great feeling. After spending about 7 years working exclusively with seniors and specializing in Long Term Care, Annuities, Medicare, and Final Expense, I branched out to two other areas to accommodate my client's children that were asking me to help. Their kids were a natural progression and I began my entree into Term Life and Disability insurance. The insurance business has been such a rewarding experience for me. I know that I have truly changed people's lives. This is where I'll be for the remainder of my working years and I'll hopefully pass the baton to another person who can enjoy what they do as much as I have.

Bryant Terry is a James Beard & NAACP Image Award-winning chef, educator, and author renowned for his activism to create a healthy, just, and sustainable food system. He is editor-in-chief of 4 Color Books, an imprint of Penguin Random House and Ten Speed Press, and he is co-principal and innovation director of Zenmi, a creative studio he founded. In 2015, he was named the inaugural Chef-in-Residence for the Museum of the African Diaspora in San Francisco. His newest book, Black Food, has just been released – a visual and spiritual feast of recipes, art, and stories from over 100 black cultural luminaries. Many know Bryant as the inspirational, artful, and inventive person that he is, trailblazing on many fronts from bridging the gap between black food and veganism in the cookbook space to exposing and celebrating the lost treasures and traditions of historical black culture .But behind all this, Bryant has experienced a personal journey that has enabled all this work to come to fruition. It's these life lessons and skills that we touch upon in this very authentic episode. You'll hear Bryant talk about how important it is to manage you, so you don't get in your own way, what his mom referred to as “blocking your blessings”. He also credits quiet in the sparking his potentiality at times when it laid dormant. And of course we talk about how he defines success. What I love most about Bryant is his keen self-awareness, and his unrelenting desire to show up in a way that resembles who he truly is in the purest sense. It's that uncompromising purity that touches so many. --More on Bryant:Bryant Terry is a James Beard & NAACP Image Award-winning chef, educator, and author renowned for his activism to create a healthy, just, and sustainable food system. In today's epdiose I share some of my top tips to help you develop a PMA- Positive Mental Attitude. THIS is so helpful because positivity tunes you into your pre-frontal cortex (when we're thinking brain stuff), and the guidance of your soul (looking at this from a spiritual perspective). I'm not preaching on NEVER being negative, but I AM super 'pro' creating a generally positive landscape in your brain, because it's fundamental to wellbeing and living life on your terms, joyfully. After recording I realised I didn't share my usual 'behind the scenes' today-

Have you heard of PMA—Positive Mental Attitude? The basic premise is that positive thinking, or having a positive attitude, is the secret to how to stay positive in life and work. If you're like me, PMA can sound pretty hokey. It's easy to have a positive mental attitude when things are going well, but how can you stay positive in the midst of challenging circumstances? Doesn't it take more than positive thinking to be optimistic and hopeful when life throws you a curve ball? Episode 012 of The Live It Forward Show is very different than past shows. Instead of breaking down specific success strategies, Kent Julian shares a personal story of a difficult experience his family faced. In the story, you will discover key choices Kent and his family made that allowed them to remain optimistic and joyful in the midst of circumstances that were anything but positive. Wondering how to stay positive in the midst of your challenging circumstances? It takes more than a positive mental attitude. It takes choices! And this episode will show you how to make those choices for yourself. Liked this episode? Leave a rating and review on iTunes. Stoner Aquarius July will be full of passionate plays and frustrated expectations; but with the sacred herb as your copilot, the month will produce wonderful memories and steady progress. There are clear cosmic diliniations of influence this month. Cosmic influence will change with each ten day period. Thus, my herbally enhanced Stoner Horoscope will be broken down into trimesters. The first trimester of July could be the brightest period. The planetary alignment should produce a frenetic and lovely pace to start the month. But don’t lean into this cosmic vibe with an energetic Sativa strain of the sacred herb. Instead, fill your pipe with an Indica or balanced hybrid cannabis strain. Use the sacred herb to slow down the passionate moments to feel them more. Live life out loud, and enjoy your cannabis companions with depth of feeling. Don't rush anything good! The cosmic energy changes after the first trimester. Now is the time to lean on the energetic strengths of Sativa strains. There will be work to be done, emotionally and physically, in the second trimester. Use the Sativa strain of the sacred herb as a catalyst to conquer these challenges thoroughly. Personal drama, and workplace tasks can’t be left alone to fester. Think it through with a contemplative mind, but attack problems and issues. The sacred herb will be your third eye guide. The final trimester of July is a mixed bag of universal influence, and you can adjust your cannabis consumption accordingly. The requirement for this period will be to stay positive. No matter the challenges that spill over from the second trimester, all issues will have solutions and resolution. Maintain a PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) to assist in overcoming challenges. Manifest positive resolutions stoner Aquarius. Cosmic destiny assures you exit the month of July as you came into it: With a pep in your step, and a bright shine in your heart. Tweet
https://stonerhoroscope.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/MarchLibra.mp3 Stoner Libra spring is upon us, and you are steady on your grind. While it is good to have a plan, you will get more accomplished by focusing on the tasks at hand. Someone once said, “The journey of a hundred blunts, begins with a single puff.” So puff puff away, and pay attention to what is immediately in front of you. Do not worry about what might lie down the road. In this case, tunnel vision can be a good thing. Short term task mastery will turn into lasting success, one win at a time. Stoner Libra it is recommended you find a sweet Sativa, and stick with the same strain for the duration of the month. The uplifting qualities of the right Sativa will help to elevate your spirits, and inspire you to achieve at a higher level. It may take you a few days early in the month to find your groove, but rest assured you will find your stride, and maintain a healthy momentum through the remainder of the month. At work and in business, be mindful of the details. The first spring month won't be about planting seeds for the future, but instead cultivating current harvests, and finishing up existing projects. Check, and double check upon completing every task. You will have plenty of time to burn one down when you're off-the-clock, so avoid smoking while you are in business mode. You want to have a clear mind when assessing the quality of your work so you do not have to reevaluate completed tasks. While you cannot control external stimuli stoner Libra, you do have control over the vibes you emanate outward. During the month of March, it will be crucial for your personal well being that you take time for others. Whether it is time to toke or time to talk, there is a romantic partner or a family member who could benefit from your PMA: Positive Mental Attitude. It's up to you to cultivate kindness. Sometimes they might need you to light one up, and share some kind bud. Other times, all you'll have to do is listen, be patient, and simply be present. Regardless of how you commiserate with your cannabis companions, helping to uplift the spirits of others will be a sure path to internal happiness. Tweet
