Joseph Brooks’ message has already impacted and inspired the lives of so many people ― and the number continues to grow with each new speaking engagement. Born into poverty on San Antonio’s violent east side, he endured bullying and abuse in school and lost both parents by the age of 18. His incredible story of growing from "Welfare to Wellbeing" and becoming a highly successful fitness expert to the stars is awe-inspiring. In his new book, The Value of a Single Woman, and in his motivational presentations, Brooks recounts his past and his extraordinary turnaround. “As an only child, I went through a period of deep depression after my mother died,” he says. “And I credit God for saving me from a 9 mm bullet that should have ended my life. Instead, it changed me forever and allowed me to see the positives instead of the negatives in life.” Brooks, who learned to be articulate and persistent from his mother, took his first job at 17 as a floor trainer at a local gym and created an after-school program called Impact to help at-risk youth. Both places played outsize roles for him. From such bleak beginnings, he managed to change his life's trajectory, becoming one of the most successful personal trainers in Texas, a television fitness guru, an actor, an author and a motivational speaker. He has also been a featured guest on national and local podcasts, covering issues that range from business to relationships. "I have an incredible story I call 'From Welfare to Well-being' and it's a message I need to get out,” he says. “It has impacted so many lives already.” Author, actor, fitness expert and speaker Joseph Brooks has been helping individuals transform their lives physically, spiritually and mentally for over 30 years. A regular fitness expert on KSAT-12’s top variety show SA Live, Brooks has helped thousands by coming into their homes via TV. He is also listed on IMDb at: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm10956746/. He has been a featured guest on national and local podcast such as Erica Vargas’s “In Search of good Men,” Janie Terrazas’s “Rise above TV,” Heather Whitestones “Whitestone Marketing” and Our Lady of the Lake Universities “Book Nook.” He is also cast to play the role of “Doc” Brown, a major character in Director/Choreographer Joemer Dulatres Grandmaster movie due for release in 2020. Will Bendis continue to polarise the Loonies with this issue? Or is there some class behind the controversial veneer? You'll have to tune in to find out! PHASE OF THE MOON: WANING CRESCENT LUNAR-PICK - MODERN RUN REVIEW (Waxing Crescent) MOON KNIGHT VOL.6, ISSUE #6 Released October 2011 Writer - Brian Michael Bendis Penciler - Alex Maleev Inker - Alex Maleev Colourist - Matthew Wilson Letterer - Cory Petit Editor - Tom Brevoort BARE BONES (COURTESY OF WIKI): The next morning while Buck is working on the Ultron head, he watches the morning news to see found footage on the screen of Marc’s evening. Buck uses his old SHIELD contact to try and reach Sharron Carter but he is redirected to a mailbox. Meanwhile, the Night Shift stand before Snapdragon to answer for their failure, however, they are redirected to the LA Kingpin; Count Nefaria. Nefaria questions if Marc gave away any intel on the stolen Ultron head, but once they confirm nothing was mentioned of the head, the Count horrendously murders the group. Later, Maya breaks into Marc’s home to wake him up. She comes to apologize for attacking Marc the prior night... repeatedly. The two discuss the emotions and trials of their profession but she ultimately needs a place to stay and lay low. Maya makes herself comfortable. That evening, Marc is in bed with Maya but they are awaken by Steve, Peter, Logan, and others... in the flesh. They received Buck’s call (to Marc’s annoyance) regarding the Ultron head. The Avengers want to interfere as this is their paygrade, however, Marc has a lead on the LA Kingpin and is not ready to surrender the head just yet. Marc tells Steve that he wants to use the head as bait to expose the Kingpin and take him out. Steve is hesitant on Marc’s plan but agrees to let him move forward. MOON RATING (out of phases of the Moon): Joey:

BARE BONES (SYNOPSIS) - courtesy of Wiki Sometime after Maya’s call with Marc, Maya calls her contact with the Avengers; Carol Danvers. Maya tries to see if it is worth trusting Marc but Carol is able to validate Marc since he is a Secret Avenger with Steve Rogers. Maya takes Carol’s word and meets Marc for hot dogs. During their meeting, the two try to uncover more information from each other; Marc has decided to produce television to hide in plain sight while earning money for his endeavors while Maya was trying to locate the owner of the club where she was working at. Just as the two were beginning to match and compare their sources, Tick Tock from the Night Shift arrives to interrupt their conversation. Tick Tock, with the ability to read the immediate future, begins to dissect their next moves as the remaining Night Shift members arrive. However, the one variable Tick Tock does not account for is Marc’s Wolverine gauntlet. Marc leaps forward to attack with Maya directly behind him. Working with Steve, Peter, and Logan, Moon Knight becomes the best of each while trying to take out the Night Shift. However, Moon Knight is nearly killed by a hypnotizing assassin but Maya is able to shoot her down. With the Night Shift defeated, Marc tries to run before the police arrive but Maya is too focused on integrating Tick Tock as she can’t hear the sirens. Cops swarm the scene. MOON RATING (out of phases of the Moon): Wayne:
For the past 50 years, the name "Stan Smith" has been seen on nearly every street in the world. Written on nearly 40 million pairs of the iconic Adidas-made sneakers. But perhaps more notable than the shoe is the man himself. Along with Arthur Ashe, Stan Smith is considered the essence of class who ushered in the open era, formed the ATP, and effectively created the tennis world that we know today. He came up under the tutelage of Pancho Segura. Then played for USC. And in 1971 he won the US Open. The following year he won Wimbledon. And the year after that, in an act of solidarity with other players, he boycotted the All England Club. He beat Laver, Nastasi, Connors, Newcomb and Ashe. And Jack Kramer put him in his book as one of the top 21 players of all time. Currently, he leads the tennis academy he cofounded, The Smith Stearns Academy, and is The President of The International Tennis Hall of Fame. Former World #1, STAN SMITH tells us why he thinks Coco Gauff is the real deal. He explains how he helped make the player's union as strong as their country's federations during The Cold War. And he tells the story of how the famous shoe came to be. We met up with Stan in Newport Rhode Island the weekend of the Hall of Fame induction ceremony. (Recorded July 21, 2019. Former CEO of Oracle, MARK HURD loved tennis. In High School, Hurd battled it out with top-ten pros on the public courts in Miami Beach. In college, he played #1 at Baylor University. And while Chief Executive at Oracle, he helped forge one of the most significant relationships in the history of tennis between a corporation and the sport. We interviewed Mark this year at The BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells, but we had some technical difficulties and the interview was cut short so we tabled it, hoping to get a better, more thorough one, down the road. Unfortunately, we never got that chance. Mark passed away last week at the age of 62. The man did so much for the sport he loved and so we decided to release this episode in his honor. On the episode MARK HURD discusses the state of college tennis, what Oracle is doing to advance the sport and what makes Larry Ellison so special. (Recorded March 9, 2019. Released October 22, 2019.) French Open Champion and Croatian Fed Cup Captain IVA MAJOLI is a consistent force in the tennis world. As a child, she travelled from wartime Croatia to Bradenton Florida in order to hone her craft at the Bollettieri Academy. As a pro, she quarter-finaled the Australian Open AND Wimbledon and got to #4 in the world. And in 1997, at the age of 20 she shocked the tennis world by stopping Martina Hingis in the finals of the only major Hingis lost that year. She's posted wins over Davenport, Martinez, Seles, and Sabatini and many more. And now along with her captaining the Croatian Fed Cup team, she is on the WTA board, is a co-tournament director and is fast becoming a tennis mom. On this episode, IVA MAJOLI explains what happens to the mentality of the draw when the #1 seed looses in an early round. Especially when that #1 is an unbeatable Steffi Graf. She also breaks down her unique relationship with Donna Vekic. And she lets us know what she thinks of the WTA limiting the play of young players like Coco Gauff. (Recorded September 4, 2019. We're down in the hot, sticky swamplands of Bon Temps, Louisiana with Nuchtchas of The Nutty Bites Podcast to discuss True Blood (2008), the sexy vampire soap that HBO apparently forgot about when they announced they were eliminating late night adult programming from its services. Although it's generously considered a drama, True Blood is actually softcore porn, but with vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, fairies, demons, demigods, leprechauns (are there leprechauns? there's probably leprechauns) plus a smattering of Cajuns who we learn are Mel's cousins. What is more spine-chilling, blood-curdling, and alliterative than spooky skeletons, ghastly ghouls, and zoophagous (look it up) zombies? Answer: HoopleCast's third entry in its series of unnecessary commentary tracks for Timothy Olyphant movies! In celebration of All Hallows Eve, Claire and Tammy of Calavicci FashionCast are here to blabberwocky their way through The Crazies, a remake of the George A. Romero film and prequel to Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. (Or, Galaxy of the Guardians, if you're Matt and don't know movie titles.) As neighbor turns pitchfork against neighbor, our heroes Timothy Olyphant and perennial "oh, that guy" Joe Anderson, fight to survive against whatever is making the people of the very barn-heavy town of Ogden Marsh, Iowa go supes crazy. Hence, the title. | Tags: They Cling To Their Baseball Mitts And Their Guns (America In A Nutshell), InfoWars: The Musical, Sorry, Timothy Olyphant Is Doing Carpentry, Apocalyptic Hellscape Movie (AKA America 2017), Get These Motherfuckin' Crazies Outta My Motherfuckin' Town, That Fetus Is Out of Control, Enough With The Twin Peaks References, Truck Full Of Bowling Balls Or Truck Full Of Babies, Disney World Would Blow Their Barn Minds, The United States of America Hereby Extends An Open Invitation To Claire To Visit One Of Its Many Fine Car Washes, Sort Your Face Out, Jennifer Garner. | Send feedback to hooplecast@gmail.com. *LOOK UP!* HoopleCast makes its triumphant return, discussing an odd pair of HBO programs. First, the Soderbergh and Clooney produced K Street (2003), which trails real life political operatives James Carville and Mary Matalin as they interact with actual statesmen (Howard Dean) and fictional characters (Christoper Walken wannabe Francisco Dupré). As the "we're not saying that word" General rides into town, the very white hosts of HoopleCast (and guest Jonathon!) explain what it's like to be a black man in the late 19th century. Alma suspects she may be in a family way... Richardson builds a stalker nest of antlers and hair and vomit... Silas is cunt-struck by Miss Isriwhatshername...
