Hella Draven Morainu is everything I've ever wanted in a male, and yet he has no idea who I am. After opening his k!nk house and discovering there was zero information to be found about its tall, ruggedly handsome, and muscle-bound owner, I seek out the help of Gothika's most notorious crime lord to give me information on him and soon learn that stalking is not beneath me. Unfortunately, my face is rather recognizable, and if anyone were to catch me patronizing a k!nk house, I'd probably be flayed by family, ostracized by the public, to then be brutally mVrdered by my cheating fiancé I'm being forced to marry. Draven After serving The Blackspire Empire as Reaper for the last hundred years, I've finally managed to carve out a life of peace for myself. A life that doesn't consist of hunting down the scum of Gothika. That is until Hella Vex-Nocturni shows up in my k!nk house, and I find myself exploiting all the skills I've honed over the years as a Reaper to stalk my own client. Every evening, whether it's after she's already gone to sleep or just after she's left work, I don't go home until I've laid my eyes on her. And while stalking her isn't exactly the height of professionalism... professional boundaries can get f*cked. This female is my soulbound. Welcome back to Flim Haven Reviews!!! This week we are continuing our Aspad Spookers theme with the unfairly maligned Gothika (2003)! Despite having a terrible score from both critics and users on IMDb, this film pleasently provided me with all the "gothic" atmosphere I could have ever wanted, and a fun spooky murder mystery to boot! I gave this film a 7/10 for its good performances and creative cinematography/set design despite falling flat in the end and being prone to plot holes. For my full written review feel free to follow my instagram: https://www.instagram.com/film_haven_reviews/You can also go to find the video on my NEW youtube page: https://www.youtube.com/@filmhavenreviews

Warum der Film aber gar nicht so verkehrt ist, erklären euch Teresa, André und Ehrenmoderator Pascal.

What do you do about the title of your movie when the person who owns the internet domain won't sell? Well, you add “Dotcom” to your title!Ryan McCurdy (of the Ranked) podcast is back to talk about a flick I still have the ticket for after seeing it in theaters 22 years ago! At the time, the internet was pretty unknown to the general public and the first thing filmmakers did was make a horror movie about it!  I saw "feardotcom" when I was 18 and didn't think about it since then. However, much like “Gothika,” I kept seeing the DVD at the Goodwill and thought it was time to talk about this nostalgic internet killer thriller. As usual, Ryan and I can't stop talking and this episode became a two-parter. I loved this movie after rewatching it and after finding out Videodrome didn't have it to rent, I gave them my copy!If you're not doing so already, please like and follow Classic American Movies on Instagram and Facebook. Dorian Harewood's career journey is anything but ordinary, and he's got three wonderful women (and luck) to thank for it. And after over 45 years, he's back on the Broadway stage as Older Noah in “The Notebook”. He shares what made him want to come back, owing it to his manager who pushed him to audition for the role. With almost 200 credits under his name, he looks back on what got him to performing – from starting as a singer and auditioning for a four-year scholarship as advised by his teacher to moving to New York at 22 and doing a musical with the legendary Bette Davis, who also became his acting mentor. He looks back on his first acting role, “Don't Call Back”, and why even though the show opened and closed the same night, it led him to even better opportunities. Being in an industry inherent to rejection and hardship, he discusses the necessity of having hobbies outside of one's profession and pursuing one's passion to help navigate life's challenges. Aside from theater, he actually has more passions: bowling, pool, and blackjack and shares the importance of respecting passions other than theater, whatever they may be, in order to stay happy and healthy. Currently starring as Older Noah in Broadway's “The Notebook”, he talks about the challenge of keeping performances fresh for the audience and the communal experience live theater offers. With so many accomplishments and lasting legacy to leave behind, Dorian isn't done learning new things. He shares his philosophy of viewing every day as a "birthday" and a new beginning, expressing gratitude for life itself. Dorian Harwood made his Broadway acting debut in the 1971 production of “The Two Gentlemen of Verona”. His additional Broadway credits include “The Mighty Gents”, “Streamers”, and “Don't Call Back”. He pivoted to TV and film for almost the next 50 years, racking up a total of 187 credits on IMDb. His film credits include “Gothika”, “Levity”, “Pacific Heights”, and “Full Metal Jacket”. His TV credits include “7th Heaven”, “Criminal Minds”, “Twelve Angry Men”, and “The Roots: The Next Generations”. He's a voiceover artist for cartoons and video games and is now a Tony-nominated actor for his role as Older Noah in “The Notebook” on Broadway, which also happens to be his first time back on the Broadway stage since 1978. It seems she's been accused of murdering her husband—but she has no memory of committing the crime. As she tries to regain her memory and convince her co-workers of her innocence, a vengeful spirit uses her as an earthly pawn, which further convinces everyone of her guilt. That's all very well but WHO or WHAT is Gothika? Will Robert Downey Jr put on the charm or the smarm and who knew Penélope Cruz is in this?! Not us. During the Covid pandemic, many Drag Queens transitioned from the stages of gay clubs and bingo brunches to streaming platforms like Twitch. While the internet allowed them to reach more fans it also made them accessible to more homophobia and hate. This interview explores how Gothika and Annabelle have turned the trolls into content and created welcoming communities on Twitch.
