Andy catches up with Marko to chat about the amazing Bruno Mattei film ROBOWAR. But before that, there's an exciting Ball-School update, Andy complains about Mortal Kombat DLC pricing, and Marko went to Dairy Queen for the first time! Andy also gives his thoughts on Road House 2024, Robocop the game, Dave the Diver and Deadpool vs Wolverine. And there's lots of awesome music to listen to! Stick around or don't move, but Reb Brown is gonna give you the laughs. "Robowar" (1988) is a cinematic masterpiece of unintentional hilarity. This unapologetic rip-off of "Predator" is an absolute must-watch for fans of 'so bad it's good' cinema. From the moment Reb Brown graces the screen with his over-the-top action antics and unintentionally comedic acting, you'll be hooked. Brown's performance is a perfect blend of earnestness and absurdity, making every scene he's in a joy to watch. The plot, if you can call it that, is a shameless copy of "Predator." However, instead of being an edge-of-your-seat thriller, "Robowar" delivers non-stop laughs. The antagonist, "The Hunter," is a laughably awful attempt at creating a menacing villain. With a costume that looks like it was thrown together from spare parts and a performance that can only be described as cartoonish, "The Hunter" is more likely to make you chuckle than cower in fear. Let's not forget the music. Oh, the music! It's so fantastically bad that it deserves its own standing ovation. The soundtrack seems to be perpetually stuck in the 80s, complete with synth-heavy tracks that feel out of place and add an extra layer of comedy to the film's already ridiculous scenes. Every moment of "Robowar" is filled with something that will make you laugh out loud, whether it's the wooden dialogue, the nonsensical plot twists, or the sheer audacity of its "Predator" mimicry. This is a movie that fully embraces its B-movie status and offers a viewing experience that's as entertaining as it is unintentionally funny. If you're in the mood for a film that's so bad it's good, "Robowar" is the perfect choice. Grab some popcorn, gather your friends, and get ready for a night of side-splitting laughter at this gloriously awful gem.
Andy chats with Marko shortly after a Tornado watch and updates Marko on his arcade machine and how he feels about Magic Spoon cereal. Marko's been playing Star Fox 64 and tells Andy to watch RoboWar. Andy and Marko finally learned what a bivouac is, and then they chat a bit about AI, strip clubs, skunks, and Star Wars. They also talk about character gender video game preferences, mischievous bears, and Andy finally reads the iTunes reviews from the listeners! Cornholes and collard greens abound when the High & Low crew take on a special mission deep in the jungles of [REDACTED] where they have 72 hours to watch John McTiernan's 1987 action masterpiece PREDATOR starring a Mount Olympus of beefy action greats: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jesse Ventura, and the late great Carl Weathers. Then, the group infiltrate deep behind enemy lines to watch Bruno Mattei's 1988 knock-off ROBOWAR with special guest and star of the film, OMEGA ONE! Which alpha predator will be left standing when the dust settles on the most gripping episode of the High & Low Podcast yet?! Tune in to find out.

Ian is delighted to be rejoined by Helen Carey as tackle three films by notorious Italian director Bruno Mattei. Famous for his low budget copies of the box office smashes of the day - we talk about his version of Rambo, Predator and Robocop and that's all-in-one film. Not to mention Jaws, Aliens and Terminator. So, get ready for Shocking Dark, Robowar and Cruel Jaws
We delve into the world of Italian horror with Lucio Fulci's Gates of Hell Trilogy! City of the Living Dead is weird as Hell! Tons of gore, a slapping soundtrack, tons of atmosphere, but do we vibe with this piece of Italian Gothic Horror? Listen and find out. Reb Brown returns to the podcast, a year after his astonishing debut as Yor! This time, he's receiving the full Actor Autopsy treatment. But does he have the opportunity to show off his acting chops, or just his chiseled physique?First up, we have Bruno Mattei's version of Rambo. And when you can't get Stallone, Reb Brown seems like the obvious choice for option number two. Get ready for screaming monkeys, staredowns with cobras, shirtless Reb, headbutting standoffs, exploding mannequins, more shirtless Reb, popcorn trees, cotton candy mountains, a lot of wasted ammunition, and evidence of advances in Russian dentures, in Strike Commando (1986)!You know those novelty energy plasma balls that were all the rage in the 80s? Well, this movie has a lot of them. And the filmmakers seem to be determined to bring back the hula hoop, by suggesting that it would make an irresistible accessory for erotic dance exhibitions. Yeah, other than Reb Brown, and poor Cameron Mitchell (in a bad Santa beard), those are the most interesting parts of Space Mutiny (1988).And then from there, it's the revenge of Bruno Mattei! This time, we're subjected to the Italian version of a certain Schwarzenegger jungle romp, featuring a not-so human hunter, stalking its prey. And when you can't get Arnold, Reb Brown seems like the obvious choice for option number two. Get ready for severed limbs, melting corpses, and plenty of digital vocalizing, in Robowar (1988)!
Robowar from 1988 is a bad film. Did you like Predator? Well so did the makers of this film, so they decided to remake it on a budget of £8. I hope you enjoy muscly men wandering through a jungle and unintelligible Daft Punk tribute acts, because that's what you get. The same director made the brilliantly awful Cruel Jaws which we also reviewed. Please note, we also talk a little about Studio 666 but in between recording and releasing Taylor Hawkins sadly passed away - as much as Gary didn't enjoy the film we didn't feel right cutting it out of the episode. RIP Taylor Hawkins, rock on. Join Gary & Jay as they review the film. In turn please leave us a 5 star review us on your podcast platform of choice. Acomi and Turk182 get a healthy dose of Erskine's formula and vita rays, and get pumped to watch Captain America (1979), starring Reb Brown. Before he was fighting for his future as Yor, hunting Predator-like cyborgs in RoboWar, or rescuing his sister from werewolves with Christopher Lee in The Howling II, Reb Brown was Steve Rogers a.k.a. Captain America. This isn't your MCU, comic book origin Captain America, or the low budget, New World Pictures, Matt Salinger, Italian Red Skull Captain America! This big budget, made-for-television movie throws everything you know about Captain America out the window like his mighty shield. The same semi-translucent shield he uses to fight crime on his rocket powered Cap cycle. You've never seen the star spangled hero like this before, thank God. Say the pledge of allegiance, and Lets Watch! Captain America! Acomi and Turk182, along the occasional special guest, provide running commentary of awfulsome movie and TV shows. The hosts select movies that either one, or both, have never seen. All jokes and comments are improvised. NO PREPARED JOKES OR COMMENTS! During recording, the movies are watched at a low volume and with the subtitles on. Viewers may want to turn subtitles on as well to enhance the viewing experience. So, cue up the audio, ready the movie, and hit play when we say so. Note: This video is the commentary recorded by Acomi and Turk182, and selected screenshots. It is NOT a viewable copy of the film. The commentary can be enjoyed on its own, but if you want to experience the Let's Watch in all its glory, you'll need your own copy of the movie.
Hello horror heads! Round 5 is here and it's do or die for Mattei. This week we venture out of horror to see these two take their best stab at true action flicks. Who you got coming out on top?
Acomi and Turk182 slap on the face paint, slip into their camouflage gear, and rendevous to watch Robowar. Not an homage, or an interpretation. This is a blatant ripoff of the 1987 sci-fi, action classic Predator. With just enough changed to say it's a different movie, there's no mistaking the beat-by-beat plot, and almost identical dialogue, "If it bleeds, we can destroy it.". Led by Reb Brown, who played Captain America in the 1979 made for TV movie, this flea market Predator is more head scratching than it is fun. Without Acomi and Turk, that is! Acomi and Turk182, along the occasional special guest, provide running commentary of awfulsome movie and TV shows. The hosts select movies that either one, or both, have never seen. Today on the 5: Before watching Robowar, I sat down and watched a movie that I had never heard of before called 984: Prisoner Of The Future. I ended up thinking about it for a while after it ended.
Today on the 5: Over the weekend I watched a pair of movies, both worth talking about for very different reasons. The first one I'm going to cover is Robowar, which is a wonderfully clueless Predator ripoff film.

We have an excellent treat for you listeners; episode 4 is on a Bruno Mattei’s film, Robowar! A great knockoff movie of Predator. It’s a terrible movie but fun to watch at the same time. We recommend watching it with your friends and a couple of cold beers to drink because it’s going to be tough to watch and sit through the whole movie. You don’t have to know the entire story, and the entire premises are a group of badass commandos who were hired for a rescue mission, instead, they fight off a cheap-ass hunter who pretends to be a Predator. Reb Brown has the best performance of the whole movie who screams every single person in the film. Great facial expressions! Chuck Norris Italian look-alike is hilarious! In the end, it’s a must-watch for any action fan and obvious comparison to other movies to be knockoff for Bruno Mattei! Hello ladies and gentleman and welcome to WTF FILM COMMENTARIES. In our sixth episode we are watching "ROBOWAR". A movie made in 1988 that is straight ripoff of Predator which was made a year earlier. This film consists of a confusing plot, the best action star of all time REB BROWN, educational characters, EPIC one liners and SO many lines and scenes that ripoff predator! Feel free to LIKE us on facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/TheBleepUpPodcast/ Hope you enjoy the episode and enjoy watching this instant ripoff classic "Robowar".
Episode 29 finds us in Portugal for the 1989 release of Italian masterpiece/Predator rip-off Robowar. Find out if the film’s “star” Reb Brown does one of his patented screams-while-shooting-an-assault-rifle (spoiler: he sure does). This movie is not to be missed. Then we try to pump some life into Aerosmith‘s 1989 effort Pump by talking about how generic and terrible it is and how much Casey loves it. Our guest this week is Modern Superior‘s own Bruce Douglas (of Lonely Nights with Bruce Douglas). Bruce has a breadth of knowledge about terrible movies and he uses it to help us make sense of this senseless Robowar. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/time-bandits/message

Yah, thats what this is-a series of missions that are not their business that they take on anyway ignoring the robot hunting them down-literally steals plot points from the movie (like the friendship between two guys) and steals a line pretty much verbatim “WE DIDNT HIT ANYTHING!”-I always thought this film could have ripped off robocop too, like Marty is the Robot...cause thats exactly what happens- River crossing scene only added after movie came out to only be an hour-robot kill switch or motherfucking KILLZONE? -Biker Mice from Mars meets Mad Max -shooting the future in the boiler room -SEE HIS HUMAN EYES / Learning how to euthanize your friend - My Movie's Better was created by Kevin J Hardin and Russell D Stearns This podcast is powered by ZenCast.fm

This week, Blake pulls a classy move and opts that we watch 'Robowar' instead of 'Holler Creek Canyon'! In this grainy blatant Italian rip-off of 'Predator', we discuss the necessity of soldier nicknames, who's severed arm is that, and whether or not this movie is incredibly racist. After that, its John vs Chase in the quiz to decide if we watch 'Replica' or 'Rogue Strike' for the next episode! You can listen to Garbage Theatre on iTunes, GooglePlay and iHeartRadio! Be sure to subscribe for all the latest episodes the moment they go live! Also, like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter!
We watched Erik's pick this week and that was the 1988 movie Robowar! Predator meets RoboCop when a bunch of guys just wander around the jungle unloading their automatic weapons on things they think they see. Erik has a predilection towards "Robo" movies and I think we finally get it now. Listen up as this episode gets -GREASY-.
This is the remaining 13 minutes or so that I couldn't fit into part 1.
In this episode, Jamie's beau Brian Sammons joins us to discuss Robowar, and we make up for making him watch a Lifetime movie-- also we make up for all the stinkers he's had to watch with Jamie as a result of our show. We also discuss why this movie works where its modern counterparts fail. (We went a little long, so the last 13 minutes are on a second part.)

It will blow you awaaaaay! Svaret får du i episode 4 av Attack of the Killer Kast!
