This recording is from the 2nd annual BC Secular AA Roundup in Langley British Columbia (Canada) July 13, 2024. This is the Washington State panel. What does "conference-approved" literature mean (and what does it not mean)? What are the books that AA members, including irreligious members, read to aid recovery? Well, we don't cover it all, but we get some samples of experience, strength and hope from Washington: Peter A. from Mount Vernon explains the history of the AA Conference and how "conference approved" defined literature created by AA, collectively, and how General Service does not intend to approve of or disapprove of what members read on their own or in our AA groups.
The Power of Trust: How Companies Earn It, Lose It, Regain It, is her third book.

In 2021, people started to trust business organizations more than governments, NGOs or the media, according to global research by the Edelman Trust Baraometer. The Covid pandemic has seen people around the globe question their trust in all forms of leadership. What impact does this have on business leaders? Can organizations rebuild trust? What are the building blocks of trust? Sandra Sucher, co-author of “The Power of Trust: How Companies Build It, Lose It, Regain It” (https://amzn.to/3pny7Uu) draws back the layers of what trust actually is, how to build it, how to maintain it through adversity, and most importantly, how to rebuild it when it's been shattered. Along with her co-author, Shalene Gupta, Sandra has devised the four key foundations of trust; competence, motives, means and impact. We ask Sandra about the significance of these steps, how they can be harnessed, as well as the impact on trust that Covid has had, specifically how vaccine mandates have affected it. Throughout our conversation and her book, Sandra illustrates her insights with a plethora of rich business examples.

Ep: 9 Play is a Child’s Work + Interview with Child Development Expert Dr. Sandra J. Stone. Have you heard? Play is a child’s work and we can not underestimate its importance in the development and growth of young children. One of my favorite hashtags to use is #PlayAndLearn, because those two things go hand in hand. Just remember this, when your child is playing they are developing new skills and growing others. During my time at the International Toy Fair I was able to spend some time with play expert and author Dr. Sandra Stone. It was such a pleasure chatting with her. When didn’t have much time, but theme we did spend together was wonderful. Of course I had to ask her for some tips on play for you all. Hear what Dr. Stone had to say about importance of play in the life of a child. Grab your headset, EarPods or headphones and listen now. Don't forget to check in every Wednesday for a new episode. Come hang out with me on Instagram or Pinterest (@monicajsutton), so we can hold each other accountable on understanding your child's behavior and development and how to best approach the daily ups and downs.

Luustonhaurauden vuoksi pyörätuolissa koko elämänsä istunut Västinen on 29-vuotiaana ehtinyt opiskella jo viiteen eri ammattiin. Parhaiten hänet tunnetaan naurujoogaohjaajana. Lisäksi häneltä on ilmestynyt kaksi lastenkirjaa. Ohjelman on toimittanut Sandra Järvenpää.
