Although i have been fascinated by the paranormal from a very young age, I didn't start investigating major locations until about 5 years ago. Although I don't have a cool back story of growing up in a haunted house , i did grow up watching ghost hunters and horror movies with my dad. I have had the pleasure of investigating so many amazing locations like Pennhurst, Mid Orange Correctional Facility, The Conjuring House, Fort Mifflin, and the Shanley Hotel. The list goes on. Nestled in the foothills of the Shawangunk Mountains is the small town of Napanoch, New York. Within its quiet streets it holds a treasure for both the weary traveler and the paranormal enthusiast – the Haunted Shanley Hotel. The historic Bed & Breakfast has boasted several famous guests as well as a few infamous ones that used to patronage the Gentleman's Club and Bordello. A few of those guests have never left and still linger in the corridors waiting to greet newcomers and welcome back the returning guests.In 2005, Salvatore Nicosia bought the Shanley unaware of the spirits residing within its desolate walls. It did not take long for the spirits to make themselves known to Sal as they saw his efforts as a labor of love befitting of the noble history of the hotel. From 2007 until his death in July of 2016, Sal poured his heart into the building bringing it back to life and giving both guests and the spirits a second home.

In Episode 309: The Predator, we talk JR, a former member of a "1%" motorcycle club. After doing something to get himself kicked out of the club, JR started his own burglary gang. Between the club and the gang, he was in deep trouble with the law and found himself on the run, hiding out on a very remote property in southeast Indiana. Although he was given permission to stay on the property, JR was also warned that something was roaming the land... Not paying much mind to that warning, he spent nine months at the location, spending his time looking for old artifacts he could sell for cash. As time went on, JR not only found artifacts but discovered huge finger bones and oddly placed mounds. And that's where he wishes his discoveries had ended: while out searching, JR also came across a translucent creature he can only describe as "The Predator." During his final encounter with it, he was left so terrified that he decided to head back home, where he was facing prison time, then stay one more day in the forest with The Predator! In episode 407: Native American Battle House we are talking with Jenny! Her ex-husband and herself bought their first home in 2003. Almost from the start, weird things started happening like hearing a voice talking to her infant son through the baby monitor and her brother hearing knocks on his bedroom door. As time went on she started seeing shadow people, hearing conversations that stopped as she would approach, seeing orbs, hearing footsteps, seeing things move on their own, and seeing a full-bodied apparition. But it wasn't until her son started having experiences that left him too scared to sleep in his room that she finally contacted a paranormal team to investigate the house. She was hoping they would provide a rational explanation for everything happening in their home but that wouldn't be the case. They informed her that not only was there paranormal activity but whatever it was, wasn't very nice. They tried seemingly everything to fix their issue. They had the house blessed and they tried their own blessing on the house. They contacted a shaman, a second paranormal team, a touch psychic, and a medium but none of these things worked and they ultimately ended up abandoning their home completely. Nestled in the foothills of the Shawangunk Mountains is the small town of Napanoch, New York. Within its quiet streets it holds a treasure for both the weary traveler and the paranormal enthusiast – the Haunted Shanley Hotel. The historic Bed & Breakfast has boasted several famous guests as well as a few infamous ones that used to patronage the Gentleman’s Club and Bordello. A few of those guests have never left and still linger in the corridors waiting to greet newcomers and welcome back the returning guests. In 1845, Thomas Ritch was the first to put mortar to stone (or more accurately, nail to wood) and erect the Ritch’s Hotel on Main Street. Napanoch was a nice vacation destination from those attempting to escape the hustle & bustle of the larger cities. Due to the convenience of the railroad, many a traveler came to rest his head. The Thomas Ritch Hotel claimed in a local newspaper to be “…one of the area’s best with fine food and new furnishings…” Even after Ritch sold the hotel in 1851, the newly named Hungerford’s Hotel continued to purport the property as “…one of the most beautiful and commodious public houses to be found in any section of the country.” Mr. Hungerford catered to the same clientele as Mr. Ritch, including the elite Gentleman’s Club that boasted a very distinguished membership and was quick to dandle the ladies of the bordello on their knees.

Whether you're on vacation or a business trip, it serves as your temporary home. Some hotels have had a long storied history – and as you’ll see in this list, many of them aren’t pleasant. These are the 5 most haunted hotels in America. 5. Shanley Hotel – New York Built in 1895 the Shanley Hotel in Napanoch New York takes the term "haunted" seriously. Enough so that every guest who spends the night has to be over 16-years old of age and supposedly made to sign a waiver, just in case something happens. One look at it would make you think twice about even approaching the property, let alone spending the night there. It sits on a street corner with its distinct Dutch Colonial architecture and peeling white paint, like it was pulled straight out of a horror film. 4. The Queen Anne Hotel - California Underneath it's gorgeous and historic pink Victorian façade, The Queen Anne Hotel is home to several ghosts and various paranormal occurrences. First established in 1889 by Senator James G. Fair, it was initially a girl's boarding school. Named the Mary Lake School for Girls, it opened in 1890 and was received with much acclaim in San Francisco. James Fair created the school not just as a business but also so that his two daughters would have a place of education and boarding once they arrived in the city. James was said to have a strained relationship with his daughters and it was his way of trying to win them back. 3. The Queen Mary Hotel – California Considered as one of the most popular transatlantic liners during the 50s, The Queen Mary ocean liner first set sail in 1936. It a luxury liner decked out with various amenities unheard of during the era. It had a built in pool, library, salons, several cocktail lunges, lush dining rooms and elegant sleeping quarters. It was even fitted with a Jewish prayer room with the hope of distancing itself from the racism growing out of Germany during the time. When World War II came, the liner was transformed into a military boat where it held more than 800,000 captives, soldiers and prisoners of war during its service. 2. The Chelsea Hotel – New York First built in 1884 the Chelsea has become famous because so many talented artists, writers, poets, actors and musicians have at one time or another called it home, even if just for a short while. This 250-unit hotel can be found in the heart of New York City. Some of the most notable names that have stayed there include William Burroughs, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Stanley Kubrick, Jack Kerouac, Andy Warhol and Madonna. 1. Logan Inn – Pennsylvania Settled in the picturesque area of New Hope, Pennsylvania, lies the historical Logan Inn. This landmark structure was first built as a humble tavern in 1722 and sits close to the Delaware River as well as the famous Buck's County Playhouse. With over three centuries of history, it's no surprise the inn has garnered a few ghost stories since its inception. It's a favorite haunt for paranormal experts and ghost hunters who believe that the inn houses more than just a few ghouls in its halls and rooms. So those were the 5 MOST HAUNTED HOTELS IN America These places have lived on in infamy because of their paranormal and haunted reputations. And it's likely theses hotels will continue to harbor their spirits for many more years to come.
