Send us a textRHOBH-Reunion Part 3-The Word on the Street Is… DRAMARHOBH Reunion Part 3The final part of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion delivered raw emotion, explosive confrontations, and surprising moments of clarity. Tensions soared as Sutton defended herself against accusations of arrogance, gift-giving manipulation, and rumors of a drinking problem. Dorit and Boz challenged her, while Garcelle called out the group's double standards and lack of grace toward her.Garcelle and Boz's heated exchange over being labeled “angry” reignited a broader conversation around stereotypes and emotional expression. Meanwhile, Sutton opened up about unresolved trauma tied to her father's passing and complex relationship with her mother—a surprisingly tender and emotional arc.Kyle faced tough questions about her marriage and separation from Mauricio. She revealed feelings of sadness and distance, acknowledged she had seen his messages before the split, and addressed swirling rumors about her sexuality. Erika opened up about her emotional growth, her son's involvement in the A$AP Rocky trial, and the surreal feeling of watching her ex-husband's legal downfall.Jennifer Tilly added levity with corn dogs and heartfelt support for Sutton. Kathy Hilton was equal parts Steel Magnolia and comic relief, while Dorit found genuine friendship in a surprising place. The episode wrapped with final reflections, affirming friendships, personal growth, and a playful toast from Jennifer: “The best ships in the world are friendships.”Support the showhttps://www.wewinewhenever.com/

Welcome back to another edition of the Video Store Podcast. In honor of Women's History Month, I've selected four films featuring what I like to call “Wonder Women.” These are women who are brave, kind, strong, and all-around wonderful. This isn't meant to be an exhaustive list—simply four films that resonate with me personally as a woman, and you should watch, whether you're a woman or not. Fried Green Tomatoes (1991)First up is the 1991 Oscar-nominated film, Fried Green Tomatoes. The film stars Mary Stuart Masterson, Mary-Louise Parker, Kathy Bates, and Jessica Tandy, among others. Fried Green Tomatoes is based on the book Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe by Fannie Flagg, who also wrote the first draft of the screenplay. This film flashes between the 1920s and the 1980s, looking at Wonder Women through all stages of life. No matter where you find yourself, Fried Green Tomatoes is a great film to enjoy with the wonderful women in your life. Steel Magnolias (1989)Next up is Steel Magnolias from 1989. Focusing on southern women's culture in the 1980s, Steel Magnolias highlights the friendship among six women who must persevere through difficult circumstances. Starring Shirley MacLaine, Olympia Dukakis, Sally Field, Julia Roberts, Dolly Parton, Daryl Hannah, and Tom Skerritt, Steel Magnolias expertly blends comedy and drama, making a great movie full of Wonder Women. 9 to 5 (1980)The second Dolly Parton film in today's line-up is 9 to 5. The film, in addition to Dolly Parton, features Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, and Dabney Coleman. Highlighting 1980s office politics that are unfortunately still all too relevant today, 9 to 5 tackles serious women's issues with humor, making their points even more effective and poignant. This is a great laugh after the tear-jerking drama after Steel Magnolias and Fried Green Tomatoes. Alien (1979)The last film in our Wonder Women selections is 1979's Alien directed by Ridley Scott. Starring Sigourney Weaver, Tom Skerritt, Veronica Cartwright, Yaphet Kotto, John Hurt, Ian Holm, Harry Dean Stanton, and Bolaji Badejo as the Xenomorph, Alien, is a phenomenal sci-fi horror film. Alien's leading wonder woman, Ripley, played by Sigourney Weaver, is an amazing sci-fi heroine. She's smart, brave, and resourceful, totes a flamethrower, and has a kitty-cat sidekick. What more do you want in a film about a Wonder Woman? We hope you enjoy these films and come back and see us next week on the Video Store Podcast. Thanks for reading Video Store Podcast! Tzofia Englman's husband Yishai was severely wounded in this war. She shares with Eve Harow how her life has changed since his injury and how the family dynamics are forever altered. ‘Friends of Iron' consists of over 400 wives of soldiers in the same situation who are a tremendous support group for one another. We need to hear them and also do what we can to help them - it's the least we can do to attempt to repay them for the sacrifices they've made, for all of us to live free. War is terrible; the price is so high. When will it end?
Walton Goggins (White Lotus, Fallout, Hateful Eight) is an Emmy-nominated actor. Walton joins the Armchair Expert to discuss no longer being willing to perpetuate cultural stereotypes of the south, being raised by the real Steel Magnolias, and sharing attraction to volatility on the edge of chaos. Walton and Dax talk about having wives that can walk with kings, the humiliation of poverty, and how an application for an American Express card changed the trajectory of his life. Walton explains loving lunatics, why time with his kid is worth more than any amount of money or success, and approaching his life with as much artistry and intention as he would a role.Follow Armchair Expert on the Wondery App or wherever you get your podcasts. In her early 20s, Dawn Adams was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and told she probably wouldn't live long enough to worry about any impact the menopause might have on her condition. And so, when Dawn started perimenopause and noticed changes in her condition, she began to question what exactly medical professionals and researchers do know about it? As ever when it comes to women's health, the answer was not a lot. Dawn's now involved in several research projects, and so Jen got the midwife and diabetes advocate on the phone to talk about autoimmune conditions, why we still don't know enough about diabetes type 1, and how representative Steel Magnolias actually is. At its heart, "Steel Magnolias" is about friendship and love.Inspired by real-life women in a small Louisiana town and their bonds, it seemed natural for Lake Pend Oreille Repertory Theatre to take on the classic play following its successful production of "Legally Blonde." After all, both shows are about female bonds and community and are among LPO Rep founder Keely Gray's favorite plays.Come join 7Bee Podcast as we talk to LPO Rep about the company's upcoming production of "Steel Magnolias."

Welcome back to Lez Hang Out, the podcast that has a Southern accent now, y'all. This week, Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) hang out with dyslexic southern pageant girl turned Brooklyn lesbian comedian, Ali Clayton (@aliclaytoncomedy) to talk about why the 1989 dramedy Steel Magnolias Should've Been Gay. Ali is the co-host of the Y'all Gay Podcast (@yallgaypod) and recently released her debut comedy album, Country Queer. We couldn't think of anyone more perfect to chat with about this classic Southern throwback. Steel Magnolias stars Dolly Parton, Sally Field, Shirley MacLaine, and Julia Roberts. It follows the story of a group of southern women in a small Louisiana town and the friendships they forge. Dolly's character runs a beauty salon and between the beauticians and the clients, there is always tea to be spilled. Although Ellie and Leigh had not previously seen this film, they knew one major thing- that the movie is extremely sad. We'd be remiss not to give the disclaimer that you will absolutely need an entire box of tissues when watching this film. Pretty much every woman in this movie is a huge dyke. The overarching theme is that being married to a man is somewhat better than dying young, but only by a really, really small margin. No one has anything nice to say about their husbands. The basic plot can be boiled down to “f*ck men” and “hurray for female friendships”. This makes it the perfect candidate for us when thinking about ships, there are so many to choose from! We talk with Ali about her personal experience with watching Steel Magnolias in the 90s, performing in Reba Drag at 8 years old, and growing up in the pageant world. We know one thing for sure, Steel Magnolias Should've Been Gay. Follow us on Twitter: (@lezhangoutpod) and answer our Q & Gay questions at the end of every episode. You can also join us on Facebook.com/lezhangoutpod and Instagram (@lezhangoutpod). Find us individually on Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok at Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida). This week's episode takes a different turn as Robbie and Art welcome special guest Paige Hunt to talk about her favorite movie, Steel Magnolias. In an attempt to broaden the Guys' horizons, Paige explains why this movie is not only the best movie to come out in 1989 (an amazing year for movies) but of ALL time, despite there being nary a lightsaber nor blaster in sight. Paige also shares a list of chick flicks that Guys (and guys) should watch with their wives to score brownie points. Geeks of the week include Adobe's misstep, news from WWDC, and a last-minute surprise announcement that brings us back to sci-fi. Listen to this one, you'll love it more than your luggage.

Bang bang! We are here this month with Julia Duffy. You Might Know Her From Palm Royale; Designing Women; Newhart; Looking; Baby Talk; The Mommie; Intolerable Cruelty; and Butcher, Baker, Nightmare Maker. We got to chat with Julia about her incredible arc as Mary Meredith Davidsoul on Apple TV's starry Palm Royale. That finale twist, huh? She also gave us the scoop on playing Patrick's mom on Looking (and the importance of playing mom to a queer person), her iconic run on Newhart (7 Emmy nominations!), and her ‘90s run as “Julia Duffy, sitcom saver” including joining the powerhouse female ensemble of Designing Women. We also got to chat about Julia's book Bad Auditions, who was in those rooms with her, and what it was like playing a high school student at 30. Truly a treat! Three cheers for lesbian weddings, and fingers crossed Sarah gets to have one someday. The Louvre is moving the Mona Lisa to the basement and now we want to know what the fuss is about her anyway. We debate whether Taylor Swift should use a private jet to fly or if she should fly commercial like the rest of us. Sarah wonders what the future of concerts is, and whether virtual reality could provide the same transcendence that in person events do. We learn what effect women's tears have on men and Susie successfully gets Sarah to cry about the movie Steel Magnolias. Susie describes a Pulitzer prize-winning article about dementia and the questions it raises about decision-making, identity, and autonomy for people who have it and their families. Plus, we try to figure out why urinary tract infections are so much worse for older folks.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comJoin our Candy Club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodSponsors:Head to https://moshlife.com/braincandy to save 20% off plus FREE shipping on your first 6-count Trial Pack.To get Naked Wines' 6 bottle for $39.99 offer, head to https://nakedwines.com/BRAINCANDY and use code BRAINCANDY for both the code AND password. For 25% off your order, head to https://madrabbit.com/braincandy25 and use code BRAINCANDY25See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
