In this episode of the Intentional Greatness podcast, Melissa joins us to share her journey and talk about the many life lessons for leadership that made her the incredible woman she is today. Life-long Learning With such an extensive resume and involvement in every group you could possibly think of, it is hard to imagine Melissa having time for anything other than work. No matter how busy she gets, however, Melissa consistently finds time to learn and grow in both her personal and professional lives. Melissa is a life-long learner by nature, and she is proof that experiential learning is of the highest value. Right now, her focus with learning is on sales and relationship development. She is interested in learning about her customers' challenges and understanding them so she can provide tailored solutions. You can be a student of the world and a focused professional at the same time because your approach to learning will evolve as you evolve as a person. Overcoming Stress in Periods of Growth Melissa operates at a high-level with extreme efficiency, but by no means did that come naturally. When we max out our capacity and cut down the amount of me-time in our day, stress and anxiety is a very common outcome. But those temporary feelings of negativity are not indicators that you are on the wrong track. Mindset is something that we can control, and we have the power to condition ourselves into a state of certainty and confidence. We just need to give ourselves time to adapt. Whether you use sports, exercise, meditation, or anything else to find balance in periods of transition, stress and anxiety are growing pains that we can overcome.

Are you a person who is scared of sales? Many entrepreneurs have brilliant business ideas, but when it comes to selling their services, they are overcome with doubt. They are worried about being too pushy, or charging too much, or being perceived as sleazy. Melissa Pharr, my guest this week on the Sigrun Show, has made it her mission to help women overcome these doubts and attract clients online. Like most entrepreneurs, Melissa tried out many different things until she landed where she is today. She was working as a personal trainer, a health coach and life coach, and at one point, people started asking her how she was actually making money and attracting clients. That's when she dived into online marketing strategy and started the business she's running today. Her dream had always been to work remotely, and she was tired of turning over every cent twice. Starting her business was an uphill battle. After the first few months, she was $42K in debt and had just one sales call a month. Melissa knew she was smart, but she started having the belief that she was just not smart enough for what it actually takes - until she finally embraced her individuality, committed to being herself and focused on attracting the right clients for her business. By the end of the year, she managed to pay off all her debt and made $311K in revenue, turning her business around completely. In this episode, Melissa talks about the 5 things she focused on to get clients, why women are often scared of making sales and what they can do about it. If you wonder how to attract more clients or are blocked by the belief that sales are sleazy, this episode is for you. “When you actually sit down and work through a struggle, you get the deepest sense of self-respect you will never have if you're not willing to face your demons.” - Melissa Pharr In This Episode of The Sigrun Show: Melissa's uphill battle How Melissa got interested in online business How Melissa's own struggles helped her figure out her mission and business idea The 5 things Melissa did to actually get clients Why Melissa's business hit 7 figures Why women are often scared of sales What to do to get over your belief that sales are sleazy Curious to know more about attracting clients? Find out how you can acquire clients from Facebook groups or how you can niche your services down to attract your ideal clients. Client Attracting Activities: The 5 Step Plan When Melissa hit rock bottom, she had to figure out what to do to turn her business around. She knew she had to learn how to manage herself, as well as have the right strategy. She thought about what she actually had to do to attract more clients and came up with the following 5 key areas she needed to put her focus on: Clarity on your offer Be clear on your offer and who it's for, make it irresistible and know how to present it. Attract an audience If no one is paying attention to your offer, it doesn't matter how good it is. Build your audience and your email list and get people's attention. Nurture your audience If you have an audience that doesn't trust you and doesn't see you as an expert, they're not going to buy your service or product. Build up a relationship with your audience and establish trust. Make invitations Have a strategy to start hearing Yes. Whether people say yes to something that's for free to get on your list or whether it's yes to something that's paid. Inspire your audience to say yes Find a way to make the sale and be good at your sales process. Melissa stuck to these 5 things and focused on them every day. She implemented this process for two years and hit 7 figures. Did this episode help you understand how you can attract more clients? Melissa Morris is a Business Operations Consultant who specializes in client processes, which includes client onboarding, management and offboarding. She uses her 10 years client management experience to help service based business owners streamline and automate these processes as well as teach them how to set client expectations and create and hold boundaries. Melissa's been seen in INC Magazine and Keap Business Success Blog and heard on podcasts such as My Biz Bestie and Productivity Straight Talk. She frees business owners from overwhelm so they can actually work ON their business and not just IN their business. Here's what we covered on the episode: When Melissa had her 9-5 job at an ad agency she was an account executive, which is a project management and client management role and how being in that role served her and created some good systems for herself Melissa explains that she liked her 9-5 job but was craving more flexibility and higher income, so she left her agency and started doing marketing consulting After becoming a marketing consultant, Melissa quickly booked a lot of clients but looked around and realized she hated it and questioned what happened Why Melissa didn't like marketing consulting because she had to execute on a lot of ad plans, where she was writing social media posts, creating graphics and all that comes with consulting, which was unlike the project management role she was in at the agency, which she loved How Melissa approached some of the business owners she'd been working with and started having conversations with them about managing their own projects because she was exploring this new line of work and they loved it Melissa began to realize how this happens to so many solopreneurs, freelancers, etc. who go out on their own and then no longer have a project manager there to serve as a buffer person to keep things on track How Melissa used her social media business to work with some of those business owners and do additional project management work for them When Facebook made their big algorithm change it drastically dropped business page's ability to show up in news feed, and their page views, so Melissa used that as an opportunity to fire a lot of the social media clients she was with and explains why that made sense for her Melissa loves her work and primarily helps service providers create systems and processes, streamline and automate and identify the tools they need in their business to make all of that happen Melissa's experience in client management helped prepare her for tough client conversations and explains that when she presents to clients a shift in her business or unfortunately firing, she highlights the benefits for them and set them up for success as much as she can What Melissa's initial offerings included were conversations about where things were getting stuck in her clients' business, why tasks were slipping through the cracks and helping them get out of overwhelm, which she explains stems from overbooking or not having a clear process Melissa explains that if you can't write down what your process looks like, then it is not nearly as clear as you think and you are going to have a difficult time automating that process or ask for help Two things Melissa sees when it comes to tools is business owners who wait too long to have any tools and other business owners who know they need automation but aren't sure what tool they need and end up duplicating a lot of tools The categories of tools business owners need to pull from including a CRM, a project management tool, a scheduler and an invoicing tool and how Melissa sees the most duplication in the CRM and project management section Melissa walks us through her DISCO Framework where you Define your current process, Identify gaps in your process and redundancies, Streamline by creating canned emails and templates, Create phases and milestones to build accountability, and Outsource and automate Melissa recommends Dubsado, a CRM tool that covers your automation, has a scheduler built into it, and has the ability to automate invoicing Popular project management tools are Asana, Trello and ClickUp, Melissa explains that if you are a checklist type of person you will probably prefer Asana's approach and if you're into visuals you will probably prefer Trello How even if you don't have a lot of clients, but your goal is to grow, and you have the time now to get things into a system, it can be very beneficial to just get started versus waiting to do it so you're prepared for the future Most business owners Melissa works with report saving 5 hours per week which gives them time to spend doing other things to help grow their business or helps give them some breathing room Why Melissa thinks there is a moment when it's too soon to focus on your systems and processes; this might be if you are still refining your services and offers, or you're still playing with who your target audience is, deciding on price points, etc. Melissa explains that you can begin small with automation and just start with automating your invoicing, getting some questionnaires out automatically, or a quick onboarding workflow that can deliver the proposal, contract and a welcome email How it depends on timing and the phase of business the business owner is in when deciding to implement systems and how it might not even be the business owner who realizes something needs to be done Melissa explains her Asana project, where she has different steps set up for her process that help keeps her on track Melissa noticed when she first started working with business owners, they would spend most of their deep dive strategy session searching for their contract or updating the questionnaire so she decided to add a kick-off call to her process and give them some automated resources Melissa's experience moving from one city to another during a pandemic and explains she is just as intentional in her personal life as she is in her business and created checklists for moving and a timeline for moving If you are listening and want to get started, Melissa suggests getting some canned emails, getting your contracts and proposals together, and remember that you can start small Connect with Melissa on Facebook, on her website and check out her Automation Roadmap that will outline your first steps for getting automated Links mentioned: Connect with Melissa on Facebook Melissa's Website Melissa's Automation Roadmap Like what you heard? In this episode of Barbell Vitality, Brent speaks with health and fitness coach Melissa Gatto. The Ohio native graduated from college with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and built up a strong background in a variety of dance forms, from classical ballet, to musical theatre, to tap, among others. Six months following her graduation, she moved to New York City where she danced professionally for the next five years. Upon her retirement, Melissa made her foray into the world of fitness through Crossfit, and eventually made the exciting decision to become a certified trainer. While Melissa loved her career in dance, she laments the intense physical toll it took on her body, not to mention the body dysmorphia she quietly endured as a relatively muscular individual in the professional ballet scene. Even after her retirement, Melissa’s body dysmorphia carried over into Crossfit. She learned to chip away at it over time through therapy, meditation, and journaling in order to “heal old trauma and old wounds, and just let go of negative thoughts around my body and what I feel needs to change”.Melissa also had to work on creating a healthier relationship with food. While she was able to consistently perform as a dancer without much consideration regarding her diet, entering Crossfit in her late 20s was a different story. She might have gotten lean, but she was constantly tired. Melissa experimented with different diets, some leaning her out better than others. Over time, she was forced to consider how nutrition affected her energy levels, lifestyle, and general fitness beyond simply how she looked.Listen in and learn how Melissa practices mindful meditation to keep positive thoughts at the forefront of her thoughts, how she rebuilt her relationship with food after leaving dance, the importance of listening to your body, and best practices for ensuring your body is running on the right type and amount of food. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll learn: ● [00:48] Melissa’s background● [06:00] How dancing full-time affected Melissa’s body over the years● [10:15] How Melissa deals with her body dysmorphia● [14:34] Why Melissa became inspired to train with weights● [17:39] Discovering the importance of nutrition● [24:26] How Melissa’s calorie count as a dancer changed as a Crossfitter● [30:39] Melissa’s philosophy around nutrition and how she coaches her clients● [40:40] Melissa’s advice for those suffering with body dysmorphia or getting started with their fitness journey● [42:08] Melissa’s favorite thing about Austin Memorable Quotes:“Find something that you can get lost in and keep improving upon for a long period of time, instead of necessarily always focusing on your looks.”“We can’t always be in a cut. Where we should be living is maintenance.”“I believe in sustainable habits and flexible dieting. What we eat is our diet. I do not believe in restrictive diets, at all.”“If you don’t physically enjoy eating it, don’t eat it.”“The media has brainwashed us to think that we have to not eat in order to lose weight. That can’t be further from the truth.”“When looking to optimize your nutrition, give yourself some grace and add in the good stuff, because adding in more of the good stuff is going to eventually take the bad stuff out.”Ask Melissa how she can help you along your journey to better fitness and nutrition on Instagram

Curious about what the words, “all-natural” and “organic” on your dog’s shampoo really means? We like to believe it means the shampoo is good for our dogs, right? I mean, why else would we buy it? We even pay more money for it! Unfortunately, this is not the case. Today on the show, Melissa Boland will walk us through the confusing world of labels and teach us what to really watch out for when buying our dog’s shampoo. After her own battle with cancer and her dog, Henry Clay, passing away from cancer, Melissa started on a journey to make the dog grooming industry safer. Melissa wanted to answer the health-conscious pet parent’s question: “how can we tell the difference between a truly organic dog shampoo and the green marketed dog shampoos?” Her answer - USDA Certification! She went on to create 4-Legger - a line of USDA Certified Organic dog grooming products - to give pet parents peace of mind. Tune into this episode to learn how to spot a truly organic dog shampoo! Highlights: [2:35] The cause of Henry Clay’s cancer [9:09] 3 ingredients that cause itchiness in dogs [10:40] 2 red flags to watch out for in non-organic grooming products [13:01] Why synthetic products can carry the “Organic” label [16:18] What makes a product USDA Certified Organic [20:44] Dog health issues that can be solved by organic products [26:50] Why Melissa wishes she would have started raw feeding sooner [29:56] Holistic approaches to fleas and ticks [35:38] How 4-Legger’s recipes were created and tested (on Melissa herself!) This show is going to be a bit different. It is my book birthday. It is launch day of my book Eat Cake. Be Brave. Imagine that you have been keeping a diary since 7th grade, and it was made public. That is kind of how I’m feeling. I’m sharing today, and all of my launch day feelings and emotions with my wonderful husband David and you my wonderful listeners. You can find Melissa here: Podcast Web Page Facebook Page @MsMelissaRadke on Instagram @msmelissaradke on Twitter Show Notes [02:33] The first time Melissa and David met was on a bus in school. She'll never forget his first words, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?” [03:48] What does Eat Cake. Be Brave. Actually mean? [04:11] When Melissa turned 41 she was about to blow out the candles on her birthday cake, and she wished for bravery. [06:09] She wished to be brave for 12 months. After blowing out her candles, she went back to her room and began to journal what bravery meant to her. The rest is history. [07:01] All we need is a flicker of bravery and going upstream when everyone else is going downstream. Even if it's only for a little bit. [08:02] Why Melissa is so relatable. When Melissa began discovering her voice she realized that she wrote the same way that she talked. This alone made her voice relatable. [09:04] It's easy to relate to Melissa's words because she says what we are actually thinking. [09:38] Melissa is real enough to say you hurt me, and God helped us. [10:06] Melissa is real enough to say the truth and to admit her shortcomings and failures. [10:41] The style and genre of the book. [11:08] The book is a memoir. It's about all the years in Melissa's life that led up to that one year that changed her forever. [11:32] We have had wonderful reviews. One recurring theme is that the book is an easy read. [12:03] The most surprising thing for most people is that the book is funny. It's really funny. [13:18] This book is for women who are tired of standing in the back of the stage and are ready to take center stage in their lives. [13:53] If you're not a religious person, you will still love and identify with this book. [15:23] We had an editorial review that said this woman loved the book and didn't feel preached to. We can be like Christ without preaching it. [15:45] Melissa's writing is kind of like Mindy Kaling, Amy Poehler, or Tina Fey. Those are the three that she hears. [16:32] The overarching theme that Melissa hopes to communicate with the book. [18:00] We have got to become more aware of the words that our Creator has said about us. [19:30] Once we learn the truth about what God has said about us, we can walk in the truth of bravery. [19:57] What Melissa go back and change the pain that she has experienced? [20:13] No. If it meant doing it all again, she would do it. [20:58] Melissa knows what love and healing can do. She would do everything again if it would help one woman to step out of the shadows and live the life she was meant to live. [21:58] The book is about the entire family including David, Remi, Rocco, and even Melissa's mother, her Granny, Aunt Melba, and some of her girlfriends. [22:14] When Melissa's mother is talking in the book the font actually changes. And it is written in the style that her mother speaks in. [24:52] David is curious if there's a scene in The Bodyguard that Melissa would like to act out. [26:22] If someone is unsure about buying the book, Melissa would encourage them to come see her on the book tour. [28:20] Melissa wants these people to see someone just like them who decided to fight for one year. [28:41] You can find out more about the tour here. [29:51] Follow Melissa on social media. We have a lot of exciting press coming up in the next couple of weeks. [30:22] Lightning round questions… [32:15] When the ball is in our hands, what will we do? We had such an interesting conversation with Melissa Wolak about how you can take all of the skills from your career and turn it into a business that you love. What is even more helpful is that Melissa shows us how to take baby steps from an employee to a side hustle to a full solopreneur business. For a lot of us, this journey is a lot more palatable than storming the island and burning the ships. Melissa Wolak has a Master’s degree in Communication Disorders and spent 20 years working as a speech-language cognitive therapist in hospital settings. Throughout that time, Melissa became disillusioned with the lack of a holistic approach to treating patients, especially those with traumatic brain injuries. She began training in mindfulness techniques but was not allowed to use her new skills on existing patients. That restriction prompted her to begin seeing clients outside of her regular job. Slowly, her consulting career moved from just patients to helping action-oriented people achieve their goals. In 2016, she quit her job to pursue her private practice as a transformational and mindset coach and speaker full-time. Here is what we chat about in this episode: Why Melissa wanted to become a Speech and Language Cognitive Therapist How having her daughter changed her perspective How she started learning more about mindfulness and how that changed the way she approached her work How she started her side hustle while still working at her job What happened since she moved on to her own business How she manages doing work as a Cognitive Therapist and a Mindfulness and Transformational Coach. How she grew her business to replace her old salary Resources mentioned in the episode: Gay Hendricks, The Big Leap Jen Sincero, You Are A Badass Simon Sinek, Start with Why Brene Brown Where to find Melissa: https://melissawolak.com/

Lisa, Elaine, and Melissa are three young millionaires-in-the-making that began their journey into investing as a way to create long-term financial growth and save for their future. Shortly after high school, Lisa began investing in RRSPs (Registered Retirement Savings Plan) and TFSAs (Tax Free Savings Account) as a way to save money to support her passion for traveling. After receiving a substantial inheritance after a close loved one passed away, Elaine decided to start her investing journey by investing in ETFs (Exchange-Traded Funds), stocks, high-interest savings accounts, and GIC’s (Guaranteed Investment Certificates). As she grew older, she decided to begin investing in RRSPs. Melissa’s interest in investing began while she was still attending high school and preparing for university. She wanted to build a safety net for her financial future by creating slow, long-term growth through mutual funds. Lisa, Elaine, and Melissa join me today to share their experiences as young investors. They share their journey into the investing world, how their families supported their decisions, and the lessons they have learned throughout their journey. They also share some of the money lessons they have learned throughout their childhood and explain why it’s important for young millionaires-in-the-making to begin investing in their future as early as possible. “The best time to start investing is yesterday.” - Melissa This Week on Young Money: Why Lisa opened an RRSP and TFSA account at the age of 18. The three money lessons Lisa’s parents taught her throughout her childhood. Why Lisa chooses to be a passive investor and focus on long-term growth. Elaine’s investing journey and why she decided to invest in ETFs, stocks, RRSPs and GICs at a young age. How Elaine splits her investments into different time horizons - long term and short term savings. Why Melissa began investing in mutual funds to create a financial safety net for her future. You can probably tell by now that this is going to be bit of a different episode. No, Melissa has not had a sex change, this is in fact her husband Nick doing bit of a podcast takeover. Each week Melissa asks you who you want interviewed on the show, and one of the most common requests is actually to hear more from Melissa. So in this extra special episode I am going to be playing the role of host while I get to ask Melissa all your top questions on the topics of love, relationships and soulful sex. Plus, if you are extra lucky, you might snag a few extra juicy insights from me too along the way ;)For full show notes and episode resources, head to https://melissaambrosini.com/55Melissa Ambrosini needs no introduction. But since I have you as my captive audience, let me share a bit about Melissa from my perspective. When we first met, I was totally taken by what I call her ‘shininess’. Melissa is honestly the most authentic and beautiful person I have ever met, which explains why I proposed to her after just 2 weeks! I wanted this woman in my life forever.Over the past 4 years since we met, I have watched her grow from an inspired young woman into a global thought leader who has the purest of intentions with everything that she does. Each morning when we wake up, she asks me “what are three things you are grateful for” and I often say “I am grateful that you said yes.”Melissa makes me want to be more every day. And I think that really sums her up. Everyone I meet who has been touched by Melissa and her work, is inspired to be more. And I can’t wait for you to get your hands on her next book Open Wide because I know just how crucial this information is.We both learned a lot of what is in the book before we met, and when we came together it was the perfect playing field to put it into action. I had many relationships before Melissa, and even a marriage. I can honestly say that not understanding the core concepts of what Melissa presents in Open Wide was like flying blind. I seriously had no idea what it meant to be a man! But thank goodness I managed to figure some of this out, which allowed me to then unite with my soul mate. In this episode we chat about:Why Melissa wrote the deeply vulnerable Open Wide (05:49)Why fear could be a sign that you are on the right path (10:26)Why understanding the masculine and feminine is so important in your relationships and within yourself (11:59)How to rebalance your masculine and feminine energy systems (13:26)The importance of polarity and how it plays out in your relationships and everyday life (16:18)What is soulful sex (22:55)Why sex can be an act of service (25:35)Why a man would choose whether or not to ejaculate during love making (27:40)How do you call in more love and manifest your soulmate? (31:32)The illusion that once you meet your ‘one’ it’s all rainbows and butterflies (37:59)How to keep the spark alive in your relationship (43:56)How to ‘consciously uncouple’ (50:16)How do you let go of expectations in all of your relationships? On this episode of the Healthy Wealthy and Smart Podcast, I had the pleasure of speaking with Melissa Morrison about her journey following a concussion. Melissa Morrison is the International Bestselling author of the book, Unstick Your Stuck. She is a Certified Co-Active Professional Coach, a Certified Neurosculpting Facilitator and a speaker. As a TBI Thriver Life Coach she works with TBI survivors to find their new normal so they can heal and gain their life back personally and professionally. In this episode, we discuss: -How Melissa’s concussion symptoms impacted her daily life -Melissa’s experience with medical providers following her concussion -Why Melissa became a life coach and began her work with TBI survivors -The various components of neurosculpting -And so much more! Symptoms of a concussion can often go unnoticed at the time of injury. From Melissa’s experience, she states, “I didn’t think it was that bad. It was something that I thought would just go away.” Melissa was unable to receive appropriate medical management of her concussion leading to greater harm to her psychology. She states, “That was hard for me to look in the mirror and not see anything… There was a disconnect.” One of the turning points of Melissa’s journey was when she was able to express herself freely and feel as though she was in a safe environment. With the help of her physical therapist, Melissa found that, “There was actually a chance after this that maybe I could heal… She understood what I was going through… She really listened to what was going on.” For concussion management, Melissa advises all medical providers to, “Really slow down and listen because a lot of times the processing of the person with a concussion is slower than it was prior to… Really taking the time and believe them. Believe what they’re saying.” Melissa’s life path was altered following her injury in a direction that has led her to pursue her passions. Despite the hardships, she remarks, “Having this concussion was a wakeup call from the universe.” For more information on Melissa: I am Melissa S. Morrison, CPCC, CNSF, CFE. Spirit of 608: Fashion, Entrepreneurship, Sustainability + Tech
Nearly a decade after bursting onto the scene as retail's latest innovation, pop-up shops have become the standard way for fashion brands and independent businesses to test new markets, new products and product-market fit. Not surprisingly, pop-up shops have gotten increasingly complex as household name brands roll funds into temporary retail experiences that set the bar higher and higher. With that in mind, it's no wonder FEST founders today are constantly asking about the value of investing time and budget into pop-up retail. It's even more front of mind where we are right now in the midst of many a retail brand's most important financial months of the year. If you've been wondering about pop-up retail and whether it's the right time to consider opening up a temporary shop for your brand, you're going to jump for joy at the insight and knowledge from this week's episode with a special guest who may very well know more about how pop-up retail and the business of fashion intersect than anyone else out there today. Meet this week's guest, Melissa Gonzalez, founder & CEO of Lionesque Group. What you'll learn Why Melissa, whose expertise in this arena runs deep, aims to make every pop-up she partners up on an immersive experience - and why that matters more than ever as digital first brands continue to experiment with the best ways to harness the power of in-person retail. How you'll be inspired Many of us *think* we know exactly what we're going to do with our lives. But all too often, new opportunities appear that lead us down different - and infinitely better - paths. The thing is, it can be ultra hard to know when a new opportunity is just a distraction or whether it's the best way forward towards the life you truly want to live. Learn how Melissa rode out the changes in her life and why she shifted from pursuing a career in entertainment and media to become an entrepreneur known as an expert in a cutting edge area of retail. What you'll tell your friends Remember when you were hemming and hawing about whether a pop up store is a good fit for your brand? You'll be repeating how Melissa gauges whether a business is ready for brick and mortar or if staying online only is likely to yield the best possible outcome. Resource of the week Good ol' Google: yes, it seems like there are a million new apps and tools out there each and every day, but sometimes the tried-and-true needs a shout. "This is not like any other nutrition program you've ever stumbled across. You have to think about it differently in terms of it being just one part of a lifelong cycle." - Melissa Hartwig Pushing Your Reset Button With Your Health, Habits, & Relationship With Food On this week's podcast, you’ll learn from an exceptional woman who has dedicated her life to driving real transformations in physical and emotional wellness. In this hour, together we’ll discover the connections between your emotions and healthy habits to live your best life and enjoy the process. Sparking real, sustainable transformation and creating food freedom begins when we do the emotional inventory with ourselves. This can be a tricky process when starting out, especially when taking the honest look at how we're showing up in our relationship with food is the only way through. But there's science behind why we get stuck, and how we can change. It happens when we're hungry and open to the right answers. As Melissa writes in her first book, It Starts With Food: "Ancient signals in a modern world: Food scientists have engineered chemicals in processed foods that light up the reward centers in the brain for a different reason than nature intended- not because they provide vital nutrition, but because they are scientifically designed to stimulate our tastes buds." About Melissa Hartwig Melissa Hartwig is a Certified Sports Nutritionist who specializes in helping people change their relationship with food and create life-long, healthy habits. She is the co-creator of the original Whole30 program, the New York Times bestselling author of The Whole30 and It Starts With Food. Melissa has been featured by Dr. Oz, Good Morning America, the Wall Street Journal, Details, Shape, Outside, and SELF. Melissa has also presented more than 150 health and nutrition seminars worldwide, and provides support to more than 1.5 million people a month through the Whole30 website. "We're often told that it's selfish to take care of yourself first, but I look at it as an act of radical self love. I set boundaries in my life so that I am healthy, happy and so that I flourish in my life and I have more to give to everyone else." - Melissa Hartwig Melissa's New Book: Food Freedom Forever Letting Go of Bad Habits, Guilt, and Anxiety Around Food End the yo-yo dieting cycle… forever. Welcome to the Food Freedom plan. Millions of people have successfully completed the groundbreaking Whole30 program and radically transformed their energy, sleep, cravings, waistline, and health. Now, Food Freedom Forever offers real solutions for anyone stuck in the exhausting cycle of yo-yo dieting and the resulting stress, weight gain, uncontrollable cravings, and health complaints.
