What happens when deception, murder, and high-fashion collide in the dazzling streets of Capri? On this Over the Teacup Sunday episode of One More Thing Before You Go, Diane and I are unraveling the deliciously twisted world of Another Simple Favor—the highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 thriller A Simple Favor. If you thought the first film was a dazzling cocktail of mystery, dark humor, and couture, just wait—this sequel raises the stakes with even more deception, jaw-dropping twists, and high-fashion chaos. Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick reprise their roles as the enigmatic Emily Nelson and true-crime-obsessed Stephanie Smothers. Their unlikely friendship took shocking turns in the first film, as Stephanie uncovered secrets, murder plots, and Emily's hidden past. Now, Emily is out of prison and ready to stir up more trouble—this time, at a lavish wedding in Capri, Italy. But when a murder derails the festivities and tangled family secrets come to light, the game of manipulation begins again. Pour yourself a cup of tea (or a martini, in honor of Emily), and join us as we dissect the film's themes, its sharp wit, and the undeniable chemistry between Lively and Kendrick. Is Another Simple Favor a worthy successor to its stylish predecessor, or does it take its twists too far? Let's find out—right here on One More Thing Before You Go!

Kids and Body Image (0:00:00) We all have our insecurities, and it seems like the internet knows how to point them out. It'sso easy to compare ourselves to the people we see on Instagram. But, when our young kids see displays of what the world considers “perfect” bodies online, it can really have a negative impact on their own self esteem. We want to make sure our kids feel confident in their own skin and stop trying to live up to unrealistic body standards. So, we invited body image coach and fat activist, Amanda Martinez Beck, to teach us more about how to talk to our kids about body image. How to Stop Being Defensive (0:17:26) As humans we are social creatures. Even in the corona-days while we are social distancing, we still have to communicate and collaborate with our families, friends, and coworkers. But working together with others is easier said than done, especially when they disagree with us. In fact, when someone shares an opposing view, it's easy to get defensive rather than listen to what they have to say. But defensiveness is one of the biggest roadblocks to successful collaboration according to our next guest, Jim Tamm. Jim, author of “Radical Collaboration,” has spent 25 years helping people settle arguments. We thought he'd be the perfect person to talk to about how to overcome our defensiveness.Common Goals in Marriage (0:35:11) Times like quarantine have the potential to be tough on a marriage. One thing that's been proven to bring a couple together in a powerful way is having a set of shared goals. But where do we start, and how can having the same goals really unite us with our spouses? To answer these questions and provide some clarity is Terry Gaspard, a licensed clinical social worker, therapist, and author.NASA and Women in STEM (0:52:50) According to a 2018 study by the NGC Project, women make up only 28% of the STEM workforce in the United States. Despite producing some of the most innovative technology and research results that we've ever seen, the STEM world still has a long way to go in terms of diversity. So,what is it like working in a field in which you are severely underrepresented?Joining us again on the show is Dr. Knicole Colon, a research astrophysicist at NASA and a woman in STEM. We're discussing her experiences working in the STEM field and how we can encourage other girls to pursue their career dreams as well.Making Exercise Fun (1:05:00) We all know that exercise is important but sometimes it can be hard to enjoy! It can be easy to get bored with doing the same workout routine and eventually you might develop a negative attitude towards exercise.Finding ways to make your workout more fun will only motivate you to stay active and meet your fitness goals! We are with Emily Nelson and Amber Zenith, the co-creators of HIGH Fitness this morning. We are going to talk to them about how we can make working out more enjoyable!Dolls of Hope (1:27:15)Our world is laden with the burdens of many crises. The ever-growing refugee crisis is all consuming and has caused a great deal of worry and panic. It affects so many, including children, who should be having joyful learning and growing experiences at this time of life. Instead, these children are in refugee camps, worried about food, shelter, and how they'll survive. How can we help them? How can they have joy in their lives. Three and a half years ago, Sarah Parson founded an organization called Dolls of Hope. As of the end of 2019, Dolls of Hope has sent over 35,500 handmade dolls and bears and matchbox cars to children living in crisis in 37 countries around the world. Sarah's here today to tell us more about her organization and how we can get involved and serve.

When you exercise, your body releases endorphins, which make you feel good. When you exercise via a High Fitness class, those endorphins are jamming out to wicked tunes right along with you!! On today’s episode of The MomForce Podcast Vanessa and co-host Erika are talking to Emily Nelson, co-founder of High Fitness. Emily is sharing how this incredibly popular fitness trend came about and how she and her co-founder Amber Zenith are keeping the music pumping and the sweat coming, even during this #socialsdistancing time. What is High Fitness, you might ask? Take everything you loved about aerobics from the 80s and give it a modern spin. Using simplified aerobic sequences and adding intense fitness based moves, participants get a  safe and effective workout, while having a blast doing it! BUT - because this is a group-type exercise, classes have halted during quarantine. Emily admitted the first two weeks were the hardest of her life! Because of their business model and music licensing laws, adding virtual classes proved more difficult than one would think. But they soon were able to work out some of the legal issues and are now able to provide some virtual classes on their popular YouTube Channel. And you’re like Vanessa or Erika, it’s the mental/emotional aspect of working out that keeps them coming back for more! And Emily suggests even if it's for 10 minutes- move your body. Get your heart rate up. You will feel better. You will be happier. There are plenty of resources available online to help you get  moving. Check out High Fitness’ Youtube Channel or Instagram page for ideas. And when the gyms open back up, check out their website to find a local High Fitness class near you! You’ll be hooked!

JustServe (0:00:00) I think most of us have heard the quote from Gandhi that says, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”. It's completely true, but sometimes I hear this and think “Okay, but like, how?” Unless you have a nearby friend in need or know all of the local charity organizations near you, it can be a bit intimidating to find an opportunity to serve someone. This issue is what inspired the creation of JustServe dot org, a website that connects organizations with willing volunteers that offers service opportunities to millions across the nation. Today, we're joined by Martin Baron, a Global Marketing Communications Specialist and representative of JustServe, here with us to discuss JustServe and how we can find more opportunities to give to others.   Winter Travel Tips (0:14:17) It's easy to dream of being at the beach when it's overcast and chilly outside. But who wants to fly all the way to a travel destination that's colder than where they are right now? Turns out, there are entire tourist towns that flourish in the winter months, and we've been totally missing them! But where are they? We invited an insider onto the show to let us in on the secrets of winter travel and the best destinations. With us today is travel writer and Managing Editor of Cheapism.com, Danny Jensen.   Walk It Off (0:31:59) With AC, electricity, and hours on hours of shows on Netflix... the temptation is strong to never leave our houses. But, life as a couch potato isn't good for our health. And after a while, our dry wall scenery becomes dry and bland. If you're experiencing these lackluster feelings, it might be time for you to go outside and refresh your body and mind with nature. Here to explain the power of spending time outdoors is Florence Williams, a journalist and the author of “The Nature Fix”. Her research explores the effect that the natural world has on us.   Memes and Teens (0:50:36) Have you seen the memes going around the internet about the coronavirus? There's one that shows a picture of a bunch of friends holding Corona beer with the caption “Me and the squad trying to catch the corona virus so we can skip work.” Maybe you haven't seen it yet, but your teens have probably seen it or something like it! These memes try to make light of situations which are really quite heavy, so how can we help our teens understand the real issues behind these jokes? We've invited Dr. Carla Marie Manly, a clinical psychologist and wellness expert, to help us understand how to talk with our kids about the issues behind the meme.   Ride On (1:05:46) If you're looking for a good way to get involved in serving your community and you like horses, you might consider helping with equine therapy. This kind of therapy is unique because it can help with physical, mental, and emotional disabilities. It has tried and true health benefits since its first implementation in Ancient Greece. And there are about 800 facilities across the US that offer it. Here to tell us more about equine therapy and how we can help is Sara Jones, the COO of Ride On, an organization based in Thousand Oaks, California that teaches adaptive horseback riding to children and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities.   Making Exercise Fun (1:18:48) We all know that exercise is important but sometimes it can be hard to enjoy! It can be easy to get bored with doing the same workout routine and eventually you might develop a negative attitude towards exercise. Finding ways to make your workout more fun will only motivate you to stay active and meet your fitness goals! We are with Emily Nelson and Amber Zenith, the co-creators of HIGH Fitness this morning. Emily Nelson and Amber Zenith have filled a niche in the fitness industry that the industry itself didn’t realize was missing until HIGH hit the market. They took old school aerobics, added modern fitness techniques and created an inclusive culture which has resulted in a fitness movement and subscription business that has moms and professionals alike addicted to fitness. These 2 moms, with no business background or web savvy skills, self-funded an ecommerce business without a single loan. HIGH (as the regulars call it) was funded entirely with Emily and Amber teaching classes to pay for the start-up expenses. They sacrificed their role as traditional moms to devote their lives to traveling and working full-time to pursue this dream. People questioned their credentials, style of branding, and marketing approach, because it didn’t fall into a traditional mold of fitness, and advised them on numerous occasions to conform and choose a less risky name. They listened to their intuition which resulted in a dynamic, hip, and relatable brand that has thousands of handles and hashtags. HIGH fitness has become a nationally recognized brand with many notable partnerships, thousands of Instagram followers, and participants from all across the globe. Parenting a Student Athlete (0:00:00)It's the last 10 seconds of your 16-year-old's high school basketball game and your kid misses the game-winning shot. The game ends in disappointment, and your kid is devastated. As a parent, you're upset too... but you also want to be supportive... What do you say to your child after the game? Parenting student athletes comes with a whole other set of challenges. Today we're joined by career coach and radio personality Dr. Marty Nemko to talk with us about how to deal with those challenges and be good parents to our kids who are also student athletes.  Checking Bags (0:15:48)Last year alone, airlines lost or mishandled at least one point seven MILLION pieces of luggage... according to the Lost Luggage Report of 2019.That's an average of two-pointseven luggage problems per two thousand passengers, which is a significant amount! We've decided to get to the bottom of this issue once and for all: is it worth your money to check your bag when you fly? With us today is Natalie Compton, a travel writer who has covered travel and food on every continent.  Refreshing Your Home on a Budget (0:31:51)If home is where the heart is, shouldn't we make our home as comfortable and inspiring as possible? In my opinion, home is the most important space we occupy, and how we feel in it is invaluable. But sometimes, despite your hard work to make your home a nice place to be, it needs a little refreshing. Well today we've invited Allison Bean, from The Spruce, onto the show to share how we can refurbish our home on a budget.  Physical Effects of Lying (0:50:32)While some people have a stone-cold poker face, others squirm uncomfortably at the slightest thought of dishonesty. Their faces distort as they tell a lie. Some, like in the recent movie "Knives Out," even puke as they fabricate falsehoods. It seems like lying has a physical effecton us. Here to tell us what happens to our bodies and brains when we lie and why we have these reactions is author and scientist Dr. Bill Sullivan.  Mini Book Club: Quick Reads (1:06:33)Rachel Wadham, of BYU Radio's Worlds Awaiting, talks with Lisa and Richie about the books that are perfect for when you don't have much time.  Working Out in Groups (1:26:02)Many of the new year's goals we set are fitness related and while they come from a place of determination it can be hard to stick with them. Finding a group to workout with just might solve that problem! Working out with other people has been proven to raise motivation and even make exercise more enjoyable. Here to share some of her experience with group exercise is Emily Nelson. Emily is the co-founder of the popular fitness class, HIGH Fitness.

HIGH Fitness (0:00:00) I feel like just about everyone is trying to be healthier, in one way or another. Some want to lose some weight, others want to gain muscle, and others just want to find a way to get off of the couch for a while. What can make it hard is when tradition ways to exercise, like running or lifting weights, don't really appeal to us. So what can we do? In honor of National Women's Health and Fitness Day, we're joined by Emily Nelson, co-founder of HIGH Fitness, to talk to us about some new ways to get active.   Is Dance for Boys? (0:15:20) Earlier this month, Lara Spencer, a host on Good Morning America, laughed at the idea of the UK's Prince George's wanting to study ballet. While she has since apologized, the comment started a discussion on stereotypes of boys who love to dance. Young boys are often bullied for participating in ballet, because it is seen as something only girls do. Some boys even feel like their parents don't support them in dance for that same reason! Scott Gormley, director and producer of Danseur documentary about boys who dance, joins us to share how parents can help support their sons in dance.   Embracing Your Problems (0:33:42) Putting off your problems? Or worse, denying that they even exist? Dr. Emeka Anyiam, therapist and author of Embracing Life, says, “A person's inability to accept their circumstances is the number one problem that stands in the way of living the life they want.” Dr. Anyiam joins us to discuss how we can feel happier amidst our struggles.   Love and Money (0:50:22) We all love money, don't pretend you don't, but there's nothing worse than talking about it--especially in a relationship. Whether it's figuring out who should pay on thefirst date or working out how to combine finances in a marriage, money can cause tension, frustration, and stress. Here to help us navigate the treacherous landscape of love and money is Nicole Middendorf, wealth advisor and author of "Who Pays? Navigating Love and Money."   Savoring Your Time (1:05:21) Surveys have shown that families spend only 37 minutes together per day. We always look back on years-worth of time and wonder where it all went. So, how can we try to spendmore time with our families, and savor every moment with our kids and by ourselves? Julie Morgenstern is the New York Times best selling author of "Time to Parent: Organizing Your Life to Bring Out the Best in Your Child and You." With all the research shedid for this book and her wok as an organization and productivity expert, we thought she'd be the perfect person to talk to about this.   Holidays with Your Spouse (1:25:34) The holiday season can be the happiest time of year butcan also cause some conflict. Since spending time with family is what the holidays are all about, deciding which family to visit for the holidays can be an unnecessary tug of warfor you and your spouse. Finding a solution to this problem will help everyone enjoy their holidays whether together or not. Brian Willoughby is an associate professor in the department of Family life at Brigham Young University. He's with us to give us some ideas on what we can do when you are unsure which family to spend the holidays with.

At least 1,200 impacted people from states across the country attended. The Poor People's Campaign fights back against what it calls the evils of racism, poverty, the war economy and environmental devastation. It also has the goal of shifting what they call the moral narrative. The joint coordinators of the Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival are Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II and the Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis. Today, we hear voices from a powerful discussion held on Tuesday, June 18, at the Congress that I was involved in. It was titled, Everybody's Got A Right To Live: The Role of Women's and LGBTQ Rights Organizing in Winning Freedom for Poor People. Speakers included: Emily Nelson from Grace Harbor, Washington with Chaplains on the Harbor and the Washington State Poor Peoples Campaign; Bishop Tonyia M. Rawls with the Freedom Center for Social Justice in North Carolina; and myself. During the discussion, I spoke about my experiences as a participant of the Every Mother is a Working Mother network, the National Welfare Rights Union and Women of Color in the Global Women's Strike. The discussion was moderated by Rev. Emily McNeil, a minister in the United Church of Christ who directs the labor-religion coalition of New York State for the Poor People's Campaign.

“Come and give your all.  Don’t say, ‘I want to look this way or I want to be this way,’ but, ‘I want to become the best version of myself.’”   Emily Nelson is one of the most high-energy women I've ever "met."  And she puts that energy to good use as the co-creator and co-founder of HIGH Fitness, a workout that is taking North America by storm only 2 1/2 years from its conception.   In today's interview, Emily talks about how her growing up years inspired her to have a strong work ethic, what she did to get past her initial shyness, and the path she took after college that eventually led to creating a new fitness brand with her friend and business partner, Amber Zenith.     Emily is passionate about their vision: to not just create a class, but a fitness community that inspires men and women to move past focusing on the exterior, and instead on becoming the best versions of themselves.  There is a reason why participants tell Emily every single day that her classes are changing their lives.   You'll also love hearing about what Emily thinks is the hardest challenge behind trying to balance life as an entrepreneur and a mother, why she and Amber are committed to not filling their feeds with sexy photos to increase their business, and how they have combatted the nay-sayers by staying true to their mission to inspire each person who is apart of the High Fitness community to live their best life.    Show Notes Emily's Instagram, and Amber's (her co-founder) Instagram High Fitness Instagram, Facebook, and website Last week's episode with Dr. Jennifer Finlayson-Fife SURVEY!!!! (It takes less than a minute to fill out--thank you!)
