What do you do when you're feeling stuck or unmotivated? As an entrepreneur and a mother, I’ve faced my share of challenges. There are days when I feel drained, uninspired, or overwhelmed by setbacks. But what I’ve learned over the years is that while I can't control what happens around me, I can control how I respond. One powerful lesson I picked up from a mentor is that where focus goes, energy flows. If I fixate on problems, they seem to grow. But if I shift my attention to solutions, opportunities start appearing. I love the analogy of teaching a child to ride a bike, if you tell them, “Don’t hit the rock,” they’ll hit it every time. But if you guide them by saying, “Follow the path,” they naturally steer away from obstacles. The same applies to life and business. So, how do we redirect our focus? I use five key strategies. First, start your day with intention. Set your mindset before the day sets it for you. Second, practice gratitude, it’s a game-changer. Third, fill your cup; take time for self-care. Fourth, when in doubt, move your body, physical movement shifts energy. And lastly, the most important one? You’ll have to stick around to find out. By consciously choosing our focus, we empower ourselves to create momentum, even in tough times. We’ll be talking about: ➡ [0:00] Introduction ➡ [06:48] Starting your day or week intentionally ➡ [08:57] Disclaimer: I am not perfect at… ➡ [10:08] Do some priming ➡ [12:24] It is impossible to feel gratitude and fear simultaneously ➡ [16:33] You can’t pour from an empty cup ➡ [17:41] Try cup sipping activity ➡ [20:25] When in doubt move your body ➡ [21:50] There’s value in breathing exercises ➡ [27:37] Law of reciprocity ➡ [28:58] When was the last time you commented on someone else’s post? ➡ [30:41] Short recap ➡ [32:03] Final Thoughts Resources: Book The 5 AM Club by Robin Sharma: https://bit.ly/3Xu2dY1 Priming Exercise Priming Exercise by Tony Robbins: https://bit.ly/3F8rjp9 Are you ready to keep growing? The pre-match protest organised by the 1958 Group was greater in numbers than most predictions and that energy only served to rev up the atmosphere at Old Trafford on Sunday teatime. Ruben Amorim's tactics were a slight compromise on one or two of his principles, but the deeper defence allowed United to contain and control Arsenal before Bruno Fernandes served up another set-piece special. A draw that felt almost like a win, then, and with "La Real" coming to Manchester on Thursday, we're hoping for more of the same in the biggest match of the season so far. Following a series of strategic acquisitions, the Markerstudy Insurance Group faced key challenges of modernising and integrating multiple technology systems, while improving the sustainability of its digital infrastructure. By deploying the energy efficient and end-to-end EcoStruxure Data Centre Solutions, Markerstudy has opted for world-leading resilience of its Data Centres. This deployment has allowed better control over its critical IT and network environments, helping it to monitor and manage them for better efficiency, and to lower the emissions associated with data processing and storage. Schneider Electric, the leader in digital transformation of energy management and automation, has worked with its EcoXpert Partners, on365, to deliver a series of data centre and critical power projects to Markerstudy Group - one of the fastest growing providers of general insurance services for more than eight million customers across the UK. Working together with on365, a provider of resilient and energy efficient critical physical infrastructure and utility services, Schneider Electric and its longstanding EcoXpert Partners devised an upgrade and consolidation strategy for Markerstudy's electrical infrastructure, data centres and networking systems. Equal consideration was given to the need for increased reliability, security, and energy efficiency, while helping the organisation to better manage and scale its distributed systems. As part of the strategy, the Group chose to standardise on key components from Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure for Data Centres portfolio, including its Galaxy V-series three phase UPS's and APC Smart-UPS RT single phase UPS, EcoStruxure Row Data Center solution, InRow DX cooling units and Chilled Water systems, APC Racks and PDUs and EcoStruxure IT Expert DCIM software. Additionally, on365 secured a strategic five-year, Managed Service Level Agreement (SLA) to manage and maintain all critical power and cooling infrastructure on behalf of the insurance group - helping not only to improve the efficiency and resiliency of its systems, but to reduce its carbon emissions. Sustainable Expansion for Schneider Electric Markerstudy Group was founded in 2001 and today serves over eight million customers, employing more than 7,000 people across 40 brands. In 2020 it acquired Co-op Insurance's underwriting business, followed by BGL Insurance and Lloyd's broker Clegg Gifford in 2021, and Atlanta Insurance in 2024. This expansion presented several technological challenges, which included integrating multiple technology systems, while managing a diverse portfolio of digital infrastructure, including several data centres and IT systems distributed across its offices and customer support centres. The Group is fiercely committed to sustainability, aiming to reduce the energy usage and carbon emissions across its operations. To address these goals and stay updated on new technological advancements, it continues to collaborate with on365 and Schneider Electric, while working with Net Zero consultancy Energise, and mapping its operations to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG), which earned it a Bronze sustainability rating from EcoVadis. Modernisation Strategy Markerstudy's strategy to standardise on Schneider Electric technologies, and to modernise its infrastructure portfolio began in 2012, when it first commissioned on365 to design and build a data centre at its Chesterfield contact centre. The data centre utilised Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure Row Data Centre solution, together with InRow DX cooling units to maximise energy efficiency, and minimise the threat of downtime from thermal shutdowns. During 2023, on365 implemented a new main substation Transformer and Primary Switchboard to replace 30-year-old, legacy electrical equipment. Designed using IoT-enabled components for ease of monitoring and management, the new system has future-proofed Markerstudy for the integration of renewable energy at its offices, while ...

Daily Anglican Prayer - Saturday Morning – 18th January 2025 Readings. Psalm 41; 44.1-9. Genesis 4.17-5.5; 5.21-24; John 7. 25-36. Led by Felicity Scott, an Anglican lay minister in Queensland, Australia. The full prayer transcript is available by going to this episode on the Podcast website. https://dailyprayeranglicanprayerbookforaustralia.podbean.com Welcome to Saturday Morning prayer from the Anglican ‘A prayer book for Australia'. We proclaim the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ: GOD in his infinite mercy, forgives all sins, and through our baptism in the name of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, we are given a rebirth into new life, free from the burden of all sin. ALLELUIA With faithfulness we respond to the good news: We acknowledge Christ as our saviour and accept with gratitude, that we are forgiven for all wrong doings, past and present. To honour the gift of forgiveness, we release our burden of guilt and rise up to live in the glory of God forever more. Blessed be God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Blessed be God forever. Let us Pray. 1 God has shone in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 4.6 Glory to God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit: as in the beginning, so now, and for ever. Amen. 2 The Opening Canticle, A Song of Creation Bless the Lord all created things: who is worthy to be praised and exalted for ever. Bless the Lord all people of the earth: who is worthy to be praised and exalted for ever. O people of God bless the Lord: bless the Lord you priests of the Lord, Bless the Lord you servants of the Lord: who is worthy to be praised and exalted for ever. Bless the Lord all you of upright spirit: bless the Lord you that are holy and humble in heart. Bless the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit: who is worthy to be praised and exalted for ever. Song of the Three 35ff 3 The Opening Prayer The night has passed and the day lies open before us; let us pray with one heart and mind. Silence may be kept. As we rejoice in the gift of this new day, so may the light of your presence, O God, set our hearts on fire with love for you; now and for ever. Amen. 4 The Psalms as appointed. He is the head of the body, the Church: he is the beginning, the first-born from the dead. For it pleased God that in him all fullness should dwell: and through him all things be reconciled to himself. Colossians 1.15–20 8 The belief and principle is said I believe in God, creator of heaven and earth, whose love and merciful forgiveness endures everlasting. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen. The Prayer of the Week following the First Sunday after the Epiphany of the baptism of our LORD Almighty God who anointed Jesus at his baptism with the Holy Spirit and revealed him as your beloved son: inspire us, your children, who are born again of water and the spirit, to surrender our lives to your service, that we may rejoice to be called your children; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Hi, I'm Sarah Almond Bushell, and welcome along to another episode of Beyond the Clinic. As the year winds down, many of us feel the pull to pause and immerse ourselves in the festive season. But as business owners, stepping back can feel impossible. Today, I'm sharing my personal journey from burnout to balance and the lessons I've learned about the power of true rest. I'll also walk you through my favorite self-care practices that can help you recharge and enter 2025 feeling renewed.Episode Summary:In this episode, I reflect on what happened last year when I pushed through the holidays without rest—and how it left me exhausted and burned out before the new year even started. This year, I'm doing things differently. I share the five self-care practices that I've embraced to make my downtime truly restorative. From creating a transition ritual to reconnecting with hobbies, these practices have helped me reframe how I approach rest and self-care. If you've ever felt guilty about stepping away from work, this episode is for you.Key Takeaways:Create a Transition Ritual: End your work year with a symbolic act, like closing your laptop, writing down lingering to-dos, and lighting a candle to signal rest.Try a Digital Detox: Step away from devices, even for just a couple of days, to reconnect with the present and your loved ones.Prioritize Physical Rest: Sleep in, take naps, and let your body guide you toward the rest it needs.Reflect and Dream: Celebrate your accomplishments and visualize the new year without pressure or expectations.Reconnect with Joy: Rediscover a hobby or activity that makes you happy without focusing on productivity.Action Step for You:As you finish your last task for the year, try a transition ritual. Close your laptop, jot down any loose ends to revisit in January, and create a cozy moment for yourself. Light a candle, make a hot drink, and say, “I'm done.” Let that be the start of a truly restful holiday season.Looking Ahead:In the next episode, I'll answer a question from one of my lovely clients: How can I make money quickly without going back to the NHS while building my business? If you're looking for ideas for a quick cash injection, this is one you won't want to miss.Let's Recharge Together:I hope this episode inspires you to embrace rest and self-care this holiday season. If you enjoyed it, please share it with a fellow business owner or leave a review. Amen. 6 One or two Readings from the Bible as appointed. 1st Reading 15In those days I saw in Judah people treading wine presses on the sabbath, and bringing in heaps of grain and loading them on donkeys; and also wine, grapes, figs, and all kinds of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day; and I warned them at that time against selling food. 16Tyrians also, who lived in the city, brought in fish and all kinds of merchandise and sold them on the sabbath to the people of Judah, and in Jerusalem. 17Then I remonstrated with the nobles of Judah and said to them, “What is this evil thing that you are doing, profaning the sabbath day? 18Did not your ancestors act in this way, and did not our God bring all this disaster on us and on this city? Yet you bring more wrath on Israel by profaning the sabbath.” 19When it began to be dark at the gates of Jerusalem before the sabbath, I commanded that the doors should be shut and gave orders that they should not be opened until after the sabbath. And I set some of my servants over the gates, to prevent any burden from being brought in on the sabbath day. 20Then the merchants and sellers of all kinds of merchandise spent the night outside Jerusalem once or twice. 21But I warned them and said to them, “Why do you spend the night in front of the wall? If you do so again, I will lay hands on you.” From that time on they did not come on the sabbath. 22And I commanded the Levites that they should purify themselves and come and guard the gates, to keep the sabbath day holy. Remember this also in my favor, O my God, and spare me according to the greatness of your steadfast love. Mixed Marriages Condemned 23In those days also I saw Jews who had married women of Ashdod, Ammon, and Moab; 24and half of their children spoke the language of Ashdod, and they could not speak the language of Judah, but spoke the language of various peoples. 25And I contended with them and cursed them and beat some of them and pulled out their hair; and I made them take an oath in the name of God, saying, “You shall not give your daughters to their sons, or take their daughters for your sons or for yourselves. 26Did not King Solomon of Israel sin on account of such women? Among the many nations there was no king like him, and he was beloved by his God, and God made him king over all Israel; nevertheless, foreign women made even him to sin. 27Shall we then listen to you and do all this great evil and act treacherously against our God by marrying foreign women?” 28And one of the sons of Jehoiada, son of the high priest Eliashib, was the son-in-law of Sanballat the Horonite; I chased him away from me. 29Remember them, O my God, because they have defiled the priesthood, the covenant of the priests and the Levites. 30Thus I cleansed them from everything foreign, and I established the duties of the priests and Levites, each in his work; 31and I provided for the wood offering, at appointed times, and for the first fruits. Remember me, O my God, for good. Hear the word of the LORD Thanks be to GOD 2nd Reading 1Then Jesus said to the disciples, “There was a rich man who had a manager, and charges were brought to him that this man was squandering his property. 2So he summoned him and said to him, ‘What is this that I hear about you? Give me an accounting of your management, because you cannot be my manager any longer.' 3Then the manager said to himself, ‘What will I do, now that my master is taking the position away from me? I am not strong enough to dig, and I am ashamed to beg. 4I have decided what to do so that, when I am dismissed as manager, people may welcome me into their homes.' 5So, summoning his master's debtors one by one, he asked the first, ‘How much do you owe my master?' 6He answered, ‘A hundred jugs of olive oil.' He said to him, ‘Take your bill, sit down quickly, and make it fifty.' 7Then he asked another, ‘And how much do you owe?' He replied, ‘A hundred containers of wheat.' He said to him, ‘Take your bill and make it eighty.' 8And his master commended the dishonest manager because he had acted shrewdly; for the children of this age are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than are the children of light. Hear the message of Christ Thanks be to GOD. 7 The Canticle, A Song of Redemption Christ is the image of the invisible God: the first-born of all creation. A pause is observed after each. Psalm 5 At the end of the (last) pause there may follow Creator God, whose praise and power are proclaimed by the whole creation: receive our morning prayers, we pray, and renew us in your service; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. 6 One or two Readings from the Bible as appointed. 1st Reading Hear the word of the LORD Thanks be to GOD 2nd Reading Hear the message of Christ Thanks be to GOD. 7 The Canticle, A Song of Redemption Christ is the image of the invisible God: the first-born of all creation. For in him all things were created: in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible. All things were created through him and for him: he is before all things and in him all things hold together. I believe in Christ the saviour, whose example of love and compassion, taught us a restored way to live, in collaborative unity with all people. I believe in the Holy Spirit, whose divine guidance brings us together to be one with the Holy Trinity. 9 The Prayers Lord have mercy. Christ have mercy. God have mercy. 10 The Lord's Prayer and the Collect of the Day Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen. Prayer of the Week Twentieth Sunday after Pentecost Generous God, Whose hand is open to fill all things living with plenteousness: Make us ever thankful for your goodness, And grant that we, Remembering the account that we must one day give, May be faithful stewards of your bounty. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen 11 Intercessions and Thanksgivings may be made according to local custom Let us pray: Great shepherd of your people, Energise our hearts with passion for your word and care for your people, that we may joyfully minister your sacraments to the glory of your name and the benefit of your people and your world. In faith, we pray. God of all nations and countries, thank you for your guidance of our evolution and advancement. We ask that you guide the leaders of nations into the ways of peace and justice, and in so doing, bringing about a world that we are proud to sojourn on. In faith, we pray. Heavenly God our Father, how great you are that we are still here despite our trespasses and despite our lack of humility in your eyes. We pray that you continue to shine your light so we may follow you into a relationship of everlasting love with you and with one another. In faith, we pray. Loving God, with one voice we lift up our hearts to thank you for our lives and vocation. Inspire us all to know and live our vocation. Bless us your family of Australia, help those you call to listen to the Holy Spirit voice, that they may fulfil your holy will and make all things new. Through Christ our Lord. In faith, we pray. God of Great and modern evolution, Draw us near to hear your word and instruction, let us know the ways in which we can revolutionise our actions to those that bring changes that benefit you God, benefit the earth and benefit the people. We pray that technological advances are brought near that we are inspired to be in your presence. In faith, we pray. Amen. 13 The Lord be with you. And also with you. Let us praise the Lord. Thanks be to God. May the peace of God which passes all understanding keep our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Amen. Today I'm delighted to be joined in conversation by the amazing Angie, a Bowen Therapist from Adelaide, Australia. If you've never heard of Bowen therapy than join us to explore how it can help you “get rid of the issues in your tissues”. This gentle yet powerful modality, is suitable for all from babies to older people & even animals, has an incredible relationship in supporting the fascia in the body. Fascia is a remarkable web-like tissue that interconnects organs, muscles & more, but it is only more recently that science is starting to understand it's importance to the functioning of our bodies & helping us to understand the true power of healing modalities like Bowen Therapy. Angie is passionate about the mind & body connection, working with the root of an issue rather than just the symptoms, she supports her practice with essential oils, understanding of meridians, muscle testing & the importance of hydration. We also explore how stress & trauma affect the nervous system & how Bowen therapy helps to give the body space to reset & feel safe, whilst also helping alleviate physical pain which can shift us back into the parasympathetic nervous system or “rest & digest”, opening up space for the releasing of stored emotions. She reminds us of the importance of caring for ourselves. She isn't here to “fix” you but to support you to feel empowered in remembering who you are & what you are truly capable of, a gentle reminder to simply Believe in yourself. Is your life energised? ⚡ Do you lack energy in your life or feel that your energy isn't where you want it to be?
On this episode, in this series on energy anatomy, Ariel continues the journey into the chakras, by giving you the tools to gain access to more energy if you're feeling drained. KEY TAKEAWAYS Why should you care about your chakras? These are energy structures that bring energy into & out of your body through your energy field & out into the world. The chakras affect you in the physical world; your organs, body regions, & glands. If you feel overwhelmed or overstimulated one or more of your chakras is probably too open. You can adjust how open your chakras are. You can set an intention & ask the specific chakra to open or close by a percentage & to spiral more or less energy in or out. Most people aren't taught how to regulate this energy because it's been ignored in the Western hemisphere for years. To stimulate flow through your chakras; wear, eat foods in, look at plants, paingints or color swatches of the color of the chakra. Chant affirmations for a chakra. Use essential oils, herbs or foods that stimulate chakra flow. Play music or instruments in the note of a specific chakra. Chant the “seed syllable”, or the sound of the chakra. When you do, you may notice changes in your external life as your internal energy changes. Make a note of that in your journal or in your observations. When our internal flow changes, so do the results we experience. BEST MOMENTS “Clear the Chakras with the Violet Flame first! Visualize a violet flame in the chakra you want to clear to transmute negative energy, & THEN charge it with the color appropriate to that chakra.” “The reason why a lot of empaths are overstimulated by someone in emotional distress is because their own chakras are too open. They'd feel much more comfortable if they learned to regulate their input.” “Address the issues associated with certain chakras. For instance, if you aren't grounded you could walk on the ground with shoes off & feel the Earth. Or you could make a plan to accomplish a specific goal & take action steps for that plan.” “If you are a Reiki practitioner or an energyworker, you can send energy clear, charge, balance & harmonize a chakra.” ABOUT THE HOST Ariel is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist, Reiki Master, Empath & Psychic who has been involved in holistic healing since 1988. The collaborative ENERGISE project, led by researchers from CONNECT at Trinity College Dublin, and involving Intel and other key industry partners targets significant energy reduction in mobile networks. In a remarkable advancement for the future of telecommunications, CONNECT, in collaboration with industry giants including Intel, have embarked on the ENERGISE project, funded by a €2.3 million grant from the Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund (DTIF). This pioneering initiative aims to drastically reduce energy consumption in mobile networks, paving the way for sustainable 6G evolution. The ENERGISE project will focus on developing innovative solutions to tackle the energy challenges associated with future networks, providing a path for sustainable development of OpenRAN. Along with global leader, Intel, the team from CONNECT, the SFI research Centre for Future Networks at Trinity, will work with experts from Tyndall National Institute, Software Radio System, VMWare and Dell EMC. As the digital world rapidly evolves, the demand for more efficient and sustainable network technologies has never been greater. However, the current energy consumption of the telecoms industry, estimated at 2-4% of global energy, is escalating at twice the rate of other contributors. The Radio Access Network (RAN) accounts for 70-80% of total cellular network energy consumption, posing sustainability challenges. Open RAN technology has the potential to reduce energy consumption considerably, by leveraging AI to automate and optimise network management.?In addition, by allowing multiple vendors to contribute to an end-to-end radio system, Open RAN fosters competition, reduces costs, and encourages innovation. Prof. Marco Ruffini, coordinator of ENERGISE, Principal Investigator at CONNECT and Professor in optical and radio network architectures at Trinity College Dublin, said: "With ENERGISE, we're tackling the energy efficiency challenge head-on. Open RAN networks hold great promise for the future of telecommunications, providing the flexibility and scalability necessary to facilitate rapid deployment of advanced communication services. "Our approach aims to integrate AI to optimise these networks, also making them more environmentally sustainable. It is great to carry out this work with such capable industry partners, members of our recently formed 6G Open Networking Alliance - 6G-ONE." Dr Robin Giller, Director of SW Product Management and Planning at Intel's Network and Edge Group added: "Intel's involvement in the ENERGISE project aligns with our commitment to pushing the envelope in network and edge technology. This DTIF-funded project continues our fruitful collaboration with CONNECT at Trinity College Dublin, and we look forward to contributing meaningfully, with our project partners, to the development of more sustainable network infrastructures." Prof. Sinéad Ryan, Dean of Research at Trinity College Dublin, said: "The ENERGISE project will harness the power of artificial intelligence to develop energy efficient solutions for Open RAN, enabling it to scale to meet the 6G requirements in a sustainable manner. It holds significant promise for our aim to advance telecommunications technology while addressing key environmental challenges and is a prime example of how academic research can drive meaningful change in industry practices."
