John Paul Sutrich is Co-founder of Certificate Hero, a SaaS platform for issuing certificates of insurance. We live in a brainwashed society that is post-biblical and post-constitutional. Nonetheless, we are winning on the issues of gender ideology and racial affirmative action. Today, I discuss the fact that we have a unique opportunity to erase gender ideology completely, but that requires moving beyond fairness in female sports and focusing on uprooting the entire premise of gender ideology. Next, we are joined by University of Arkansas law professor Rob Steinbuch, who explains how affirmative action actually harms black students and sets them up for failure. He agrees with our contention that the court ruling in the Harvard case will not end affirmative action on its own. That is why he is pushing legislation in Arkansas to end affirmative action in education and hiring. He warns that red states continue to promote racial preferences even in the public sector. Steinbuch also makes the case for why conservatives should embrace equal application of the Civil Rights Act and target anti-white discrimination even in the private sector. With 811 million people facing hunger in 2020, this food loss and waste is egregious. Food loss and waste also has significant negative environmental impacts, accounting for almost 10 percent of global GHG emissions as well as a wasteful use of a quarter of the world's freshwater resources and of farmland that exceeds the size of China. Sustainable Development Goal target 12.3 calls for halving per capita global food waste at the retail and consumer levels and reducing food losses along production and supply chains, including post-harvest losses by 2030. The 2021 UN Food Systems Summit highlighted the importance of reducing food loss and waste to achieve a sustainable food system and deliver on all 17 Sustainable Development Goals. But what are effective solutions for a livable planet and to guarantee sufficient and healthy food for future generations? What needs to change in production processes? What can and should consumers do? How can all generations get involved? Michael McAfee is the president and CEO of PolicyLink, a national research and action institute advancing racial and economic equity. Max Stier is the president and CEO of the Partnership for Public Service, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that strives for a more effective government for the American people. She also held consulting roles as a speech writer for a United Nations spokesman and a manager for a student travel program to South Africa. Born in the Caribbean, Patrice immigrated with her family to Boston where she grew up and completed her education. She earned her bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Tufts University and a master’s degree in international relations from Boston College. As part of an interview included in this episode, McCain noted that while the surge in consumer interest for CBD will benefit many early-stage companies in the space, the long-term success of her brand will be rooted in its resonance with consumers. “We are really focused on building a brand around being ‘curators of calm,’ she said. “It’s never been more relevant than in today’s day and age. In my mind, CBD is in the same trend as meditation, mindfulness, self-care; that’s the lane we’re playing in.” Launched in 2018, Sweet Reason is aligned with New York-based distribution heavyweight Big Geyser and sold in hundreds of chain and independent retail locations in the metro market and Los Angeles. The company has also attracted a number of influential investors and advisors; in July 2019, Sweet Reason raised $2.5 million in a seed round led by venture capital firm Lerer Hippeau and recently brought on veteran beverage executive Hal Kravitz to support its continued development.  As part of our interview, McCain spoke about early roadblocks in the development of Sweet Reason, her perspective that beverages are the best delivery format for CBD and how she communicates functional claims.
