There are new details on the crash of a military plane at Edwards Air Force Base on Monday. And, the city of San Diego is boosting its homeless shelter system in the newly approved budget. NBC7's Marianne Kushi breaks down those stories along with meteorologist Sheena Parveen with your forecast on June 17, 2026.

The Hands From Under the Bed | Paranormal Podcast This week, we've got two listener submissions. First from Rebecca in Texas, who as a terrified little girl forced to watch Salem's Lot by her dad couldn't shake the vampires long enough to sleep, prayed desperately in the dark, and then had an experience in that darkness that she still remembers in perfect detail decades later. Then we got into Chloe's story, which genuinely had us putting the phone down — she traveled to Slovakia to help refurbish an old building that turned out to have been a Nazi stronghold during WWII, was given a candle and a warning by a local woman who claimed she could see what was still lingering there, and then fell asleep in an isolated outbuilding with music in her ears and felt two cold hands grab both her ankles and drag her down the bed. The marks were still on her ankles when she turned the light on, the room was completely empty, the door was locked, and the candle had gone out halfway — and that wasn't even the last time it happened.
Breathe were one of the leaders of that sophistopop movement in the late 80s and scored five big hits over two albums for their work, including the enduring ballads "Hands to Heaven" and "How Can I Fall". Unfortunately, after those two albums they disappeared and have never been heard from again, especially the uber-talented front man David Glasper. That leaves guitarist Marcus Lillington as the only former member able to provide some details, but even he can be reluctant about it, which is why it's such a huge boon to have him join us this week. He explains as best he can what happened to the band, the degree to which they were "manufactured" and what happened to Dave. We're extremely honored to welcome Marcus this week and be reminded of this special group. Enjoy! www.patreon.com/c/thehustlepod

It's been three years since today's guest has been on the show. In that time the business he runs has doubled in size through a combination of organic growth and targeted acquisitions. Group CEO of Miller Insurance Services, James Hands, is looking for growth at a similar pace for the next three years and this interview is an excellent 360-degree guide to how he plans to achieve his goals. A focus on specialty insurance and reinsurance, investment in people and expertise and making the most of growth synergies from the firm's acquisitions are very much the order of the day. Expansion into MGAs, and investments in technology and facilitisation are also going to be part of the mix. This is an exceptionally well-rounded interview with the leader of a business making the most of its best-of-both-worlds position as an independent with the scale and resources to be able to keep up with larger global broking groups, whilst retaining the speed and agility of a smaller business. James is relaxed and is brimming with confidence in the prospects for Miller and the global specialty broking market. A quick listen and a clear picture, as well as lots of market tips and insights, will come into view. NOTES: James refers to David Robinson. Donald Trump erupted in fury at Representative Jamie Raskin in a long, rambling Truth Social post. Trump called him a “loser” who suffers from “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” But the tirade was unintentionally revealing. Trump raged that if Raskin and Democrats win the House, they will “impeach me” and called on Congress to “EXPEL THE BUM” before it's too late. In so doing, Trump revealed that he absolutely does fear impeachment. This gives Democrats a good argument: The last thing Trump wants is a Democratic Congress precisely because it will hold him accountable and put a check on his lawlessness. So what would this actually look like? We talked to Andy Craig, senior editor at The Unpopulist, who thinks creatively on this topic. We discuss the deeper reasons Trump fears another impeachment, all the hidden tools that the next Congress could use to constrain him, and why aggressive congressional action against Trump would rebalance our dangerously out-of-whack system. Send me a Text Message! One of the ways that my stream of Christianity likes to describe our faith is with the words, "A personal relationship with God." It's not about religion, it's about relationship, a personal relationship with God. But what in the world does it mean to have a personal relationship with God? In Psalm 46:10, it starts with these words, "Be still and know that I am God."Usually when we think of the stillness, we think of quiet; a lack of distractions and in our world today, the noise is part of our problem. I'm not saying we don't need quiet. But when God says in Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God." it's a far deeper call than just "be quiet." The Hebrew word means stop striving. Literally let your arms hang down and your hands go slack. Stop fighting. Relax. Quit trying to measure up. Give up. Hands up. Let it go. And watch me be God. That's at the heart of this message in answer to the question, "Do you know God?"
House Democrats on the Oversight Committee are seeking testimony from three private investigators—Paul Lavery, Stephen Kiraly, and William Riley—who allegedly removed a significant amount of material from Jeffrey Epstein's Palm Beach home before law enforcement executed a search in 2005. According to letters sent by the committee, lawmakers want detailed accounts of what was taken, how it was handled, and where it is now, raising concerns that potentially critical evidence may have been diverted or hidden before authorities could access it.Lawmakers say it is “incredibly troubling” that Epstein's computers, hard drives, and other materials may have been in private hands rather than secured by law enforcement, potentially limiting what investigators—and now Congress—have been able to review. The committee has requested the preservation and production of all related materials, including digital storage, financial records, communications, and any documentation showing the chain of custody, as part of a broader effort to understand whether key evidence was effectively shielded during the early stages of the Epstein investigation.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:House Oversight panel seeks testimony from private investigators who removed evidence from Epstein's home - ABC NewsBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

At Summer Game Fest 2026 I stopped by Saber Interactive's booth and went hands-on with a stacked lineup — and it might be the most fun I had on the floor.First up, Hellraiser — gory, gritty, and exactly what horror fans want. Then Stuntman, a genuinely fun revival of the classic arcade stunt-driving game with big set-piece energy(think Knight Rider and Back to the Future). And Turok is back, with co-op, a third/first-person blend, and class options (healer, melee, run-and-gun) that make it a blast to jump into. Fast, pick-up-and-play fun across the board.

Isaiah 30:17 uses the imagery of a banner on a hill to describe visibility, identity, and the reality that what is lifted up becomes a symbol others recognize and respond to. In this devotional, Lynette Kittle reflects on the meaning of the American flag as a national symbol and explores how honoring it connects to gratitude for freedom, sacrifice, and heritage. She emphasizes the flag not just as fabric, but as a representation of unity, history, and the values a nation seeks to uphold. Highlights Isaiah 30:17 uses “banner” imagery to represent identity and visibility. The American flag is presented as a symbol of freedom and national unity. Flags historically represent leadership, belonging, and shared values. The U.S. flag reflects the history and sacrifices tied to national freedom. Symbols can serve as reminders of heritage and collective responsibility. Gratitude for freedom can lead to reflection on God’s providence. National symbols often carry emotional and cultural significance. Honoring heritage can encourage unity and respect within a nation. Full Transcript Below: Why Honoring Our Flag Pleases God By Lynette Kittle Bible Reading: “A thousand will flee at the threat of one; at the threat of five you will all flee away, till you are left like a flagstaff on a mountaintop, like a banner on a hill.” - Isaiah 30:17 Individuals and groups have stomped on it, carried it upside down, cut it up, and burned it, yet our nation’s flag keeps on flying and representing to many around the world, even if not to some in the United States, a sign of hope and true freedom. On this 250th Anniversary of the birth of our nation, our American flag is a worldwide symbol of freedom on this earth. Hands down, it is considered the most recognizable flag in the world as a symbol of freedom. When we honor our flag, remembering its history of how God led Christians to establish it, we honor God, because He is accredited with the birth of our nation. “Of course, it’s just a symbol,” notes Dr. Jerry Newcombe, Executive Director of Providence Forum, “but it’s a powerful one. To me, it represents the American story - self-rule under God.” Many who disrespect and spit on our flag do so because they hate the history ascribed to it and our nation’s long-held slogan of being “one nation under God.” Newcombe believes we should honor our flag because it honors God and our country. “A lot of blood was shed defending that flag,” he explains, “and it represents the freedom we enjoy.” Flag Day, celebrated each June 14th, commemorates the day our Continental Congress adopted the original American flag in 1777, made official in 1916 by President Woodrow Wilson. Growing up, many of us in the United States memorized and recited The Pledge of Allegiance, a pledge “written by a Baptist minister in the 1890s, with the ‘under God’ phrase added in the 1950s,” notes Newcombe. The Purpose of Flags Used primarily throughout history in warfare to announce battles and identify troops, national flags still play a role in distinguishing friend from foe. Culturally, the flag symbolizes power and leadership, carried during military processions and announcing dignitaries. They represent the people and beliefs behind them, of the hands that hold and carry them, and the buildings where they are flown. Flags also serve to draw together and rally people for unified causes, flown to signal, decorate, and display in parades and at events. As well, flags declare ownership, borders, and jurisdiction in homelands and foreign lands. Nations around the globe use them to communicate to the masses the loss of leaders and the mourning of national tragedies and disasters. The United States flag drapes the caskets of our fallen military heroes and veterans when they are being transported from the combat zones to home and at their funerals. The Meaning Displayed in America’s Flag America’s flag has 13 red and white stripes, each representing the original 13 colonies that began our nation, along with 50 white stars set on a blue background representing our current 50 states. There is significant meaning within the American flag’s design, as the Founder of Providence Forum, Dr. Peter Lillback notes. Each color displayed on the American flag has a definite meaning, with red standing for hardiness and valor; white for purity and innocence, and blue for perseverance, justice, and vigilance. Unlike some believe, even though Betsy Ross sewed the first American flag, the design is accredited to one of the original signers of the Declaration of Independence, Francis Hopkinson. Our American Flag Stirs Hearts Our American flag is a vital piece of America’s history, representing freedom for all, known to stir the hearts of its patriotic citizens. It’s a symbol that has inspired our nation through many troubles and conflicts, standing for life, liberty, justice, and freedom for all. In honoring it, we please God by recognizing the godly heritage it represents throughout the history of our nation and the world. If not, what are your thoughts on the American Flag? Christians should make it their ambition to ... what? Paul says, "...to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one." What does this mean exactly? You can watch this message here.
Foolish Confounds the Wise What if the very thing you trust most is the thing keeping you from seeing God clearly? For centuries, people have struggled with Jesus for the same reason. The Jews wanted power. The Greeks wanted wisdom. The Romans wanted strength. Yet God sent a crucified Savior. What looked foolish to the world became the very wisdom and power of God. In this message, we’ll explore Paul’s words in 1 Corinthians 1 and uncover why the gospel still challenges our assumptions today. Why do some people embrace the cross while others reject it? Why do we so often trust our own logic, intelligence, expectations, and abilities instead of God’s ways? And what wisdom have we embraced that might be making Jesus harder to recognize? The gospel is not advice about how to become a better version of yourself. It is the announcement of what God has already done through Christ. Because every culture has a kind of wisdom that makes Jesus harder to recognize, but God’s wisdom is still greater than our own. 1 Corinthians 1:18-31 Discussion topics HEAD – What did Jesus say to you through the Word? What do you think Paul means when he says, “God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise”? Which of the five points from this week’s message stood out to you the most, and why? The gospel doesn’t fit our logic. The gospel cannot be discovered through intelligence alone. The gospel offends our expectations. God uses the wrong people. God’s method doesn’t impress the world. Pastor David said, “The gospel is not advice. It is news.” What is the difference between those two ideas? HEART – How did it make you feel? The message challenged us with this question: “What wisdom have we embraced that might be keeping us from seeing Jesus clearly?” How would you answer that personally? Examples of things that some people trust: Your own logic? Your own experience? Your own abilities? Other people’s opinions? Have you ever found yourself disappointed with God because He didn’t work the way you expected Him to work? Which statement hits closest to home right now? “The cross starts where self-help ends.” “Information can inform the mind, but only revelation transforms the heart.” “God often chooses people human wisdom wouldn’t even interview.” “The power was never in the packaging. The power was always in the message.” HANDS – What are you going to do with it? Is there a situation you’re currently trying to solve through effort, strategy, or control that may require surrender and prayer instead? Who is one person in your life that needs to hear the hope of the gospel? What is one practical step you can take to engage them this week? Check out our other audio series and video playlists that can help you find Jesus in every moment and then discover what’s next

In this week's parasha , Shelach , the Jewish People were tested in emunah and bitachon and they failed. Kalev tried to give them chizuk , saying, "Hashem wants us to go in, we have nothing to fear." But it didn't help. The pasuk says סלחתי כדבריך ואולם חי אני – Hashem forgave them but they were not going to be allowed into Eretz Yisrael . Most mefarshim explain סלחתי כדבריך to mean Hashem forgave them for the עגל, but not for the meraglim . And that's why they were not allowed into Israel. The reason both sins are mentioned in the same pasuk is because both of them were due to a lack of bitachon . By the עגל, Hashem tested the people by showing them a vision which made it appear that Moshe Rabbenu was not coming back. They knew that the mann was in the merit of Moshe and so they feared without Moshe they would go hungry. Their test was they should have realized Hashem is the One supporting them. It is true that Hashem gives us things in the merit of tzaddikim , but He also gives us new tzaddikim when the ones we had were taken away. The Gemara says that one time the entire world was being sustained in the merit of Rabbi Chanina ben Dosa. But what happened when Rab Chanina ben Dosa passed away? There was still sustenance being given. The reason is because it is Hashem who gives sustenance and He is never bound by any one means to give it. The Jewish People received water in the midbar in the merit of Miriam. But when Miriam passed away, Hashem still continued giving them water in the zechut of Moshe. The Clouds of Glory were given in the merit of Aharon, but when Aharon passed away, Hashem brought the clouds back in the merit of Moshe. Then when Moshe passed away, Hashem continued helping His People through Yehoshua. Hashem is always the One who is taking care of us and He wants us to feel that in our hearts. He wants us to internalize that He is unlimited and has infinite ways of helping. When someone had an avenue of parnasa that is no longer producing the same money it used to, this person is being tested with the same type of test. Is he going to believe that it was the means that was supporting him, or that it was Hashem? No matter how good a person thinks he used to have it, Hashem could always make it even better. A man said his wife works as a nurse's aid at people's homes. Before she gave birth, she worked for a nice old lady and they both enjoyed the relationship and the pay was good too. When she gave birth, a substitute was put there instead and when her paid vacation ended, the substitute didn't want to leave. She too had fallen in love with this nice old lady. Instead of making a fuss about it, the man's wife set out to start over from the beginning. She tried several places but nothing was available. Frustrated, she started getting angry at the substitute who took her job. But then she caught herself and worked on her emunah. She managed to remove the anger from her heart and feel at ease, knowing she was in Hashem's Hands. The very same afternoon that she was finally calm, she got a call from an agency with a new offer. The lady she was given to work for was also very sweet like the other lady. This job gave her more hours and more pay and was much closer to her house. She thought she had it good before and would never get the same opportunity, now she has it much better. We are never dependent on one means in any area of life. Hashem is the One who provides the means and He is unlimited. And we are to know that He was, is and always will be there to help us. Shabbat Shalom.

Jutta Thorsness, a German-born Idaho resident and Healing Strong group leader, shares the winding journey that led to her triple-negative breast cancer diagnosis It began with sleepless nights caring for her ailing mother overseas, a mysterious lump on her ribcage, and a German healthcare system that wanted her in chemo before she could ask a question. Jutta shares how she declined all three oncologists who fear-mongered and patronized. Instead, she followed God's leading through high-dose IV vitamin C, ozone therapy, fenbendazole, and most dramatically, the removal of four severely infected root canals that a Portland specialist said contained pathogen levels so aggressive that chemo could have killed her. She also opens up about the spiritual roots of her illness, the work of forgiving her aunt, and how God spent eight months teaching her to replace fear with His Word. After a third surgery declared her cancer-free, Jutta now leads her local Healing Strong group and teaches others how to ward off the spirit of fear.HealingStrong's mission is to educate, equip and empower our group leaders and group participants through their journey with cancer or other chronic illnesses, and know there is HOPE. Adam is sober this time and very sorry about the strip club incident that went down when he was previously in town. If you don't know what I'm talking about go back and watch that one episode of 2 Bears, 1 Cave. This week, Tom drops a few announcements and Adam's got a new show dropping on Netflix June 19th. But before any of that, they watch the opening clip, which inspires a debate about toxic masculinity and homophobia. From there they get into the Kevin Hart roast fallout, Tony Hinchcliffe's Comedy Store grind, and the two comics who nearly broke "Dr. Phil Live". Adam also tells the story of Brad Williams taking him to a webcam porn shoot in a strip mall right before Passover Seder. They watch Backwards Brenda, a hick influencer in a Walmart parking lot, roast a Portuguese woman's forehead with the help of the comment section, and run some Horrible or Hilarious clips including carnival disasters and a man who doesn't learn from his mistake. Somehow it all ends with Mr. Hands, the internet legend who died because the wrong horse showed up. Yeah, this episode gets pretty dark for some reason. Enjoy!
