Sony is a many-tendrilled corporation, which can be both a blessing and a curse. But in fully leveraging all that the wider company does well, it seems they're closer than ever to achieving the "One Sony" goal from years and decades past. Enter Physint (sometimes typed PHYSINT, for some reason), a Hideo Kojima-led project revealed last year as a mysterious cross-pollination between PlayStation and Sony Pictures, one that appears to go into a distinctly Metal Gear Solid-like direction. With Death Stranding 2 now in the past, Kojima is confirmed to be working on Physint itself, presumably for PlayStation 6, which raises some questions, like: What will the game be like? When will it come out? Will it be a commercial success? We know so little about it, and yet, that's never stopped us before, so why start now? Plus: Arrowhead rather blatantly teases a Helldivers 2/Halo crossover, Strauss Zelnick expresses confidence in GTA6's Spring '26 release window and promises that BioShock 4 will indeed launch one day, rumors percolate about upcoming Resident Evil remakes, Crimson Desert gets delayed, PUBG is the next game to reveal it's leaving PlayStation 4 behind, and more. Then: Listener inquiries! What's the best stoner game? Are people overreacting to recent PlayStation executives' chatter about moving away from hardware? Is Danganronpa actually bad? Did we actually (and unintentionally) get someone fired from their job? Download Cash App Today: https://capl.onelink.me/vFut/ty57yree #CashAppPod. Gear up for this SPOILER filled review of Death Stranding 2! Guitar battles and dance routines make this game a hard one to pin down, but when dealing with Hideo Kojima, it's usually best to leave all your preconceived motions at the door (as much as you can, I suppose). In this episode Gino, Pete, and Em discuss Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding! We cover the game's porting mechanics and bridge building before unpacking the deep, deep symbolism of knots, strands, and beaches. We spend a good amount of time discussing whether a game that deliberately sets itself in America has any need to make the environment look or act like America and the many Kojima-isms at play in this game. En 2014, Hideo Kojima sortait un truc nommé P.T. Cette démo a donné une petite bouffée d'air frais dans le genre horrifique, à tel point que beaucoup on essayait de reproduire la formule. Clifton breaks down one of the boldest store picks he's tried in a while: a 128-proof Knob Creek Cask Strength Single Barrel from K&L Wine Merchants. Along the way, he dives into hot whiskey news, including the experimental 2025 Parker's Heritage release, a Hungarian oak-aged "bourbon" from A. Smith Bowman, and legendary game developer Hideo Kojima's critique of the modern video game industry. Plus, a listener call-in asks what releases Clifton's most excited for in the second half of the year.
Well its a radio show, but its not live, and its prerecorded.... The Naked Gun is out, and its the comedy that Hollywood needed. Plus Nintendo, pulls its normal shenanigans, while we all continue to ignore the issues. Somehow EA is now the good guy as well? Also, Spider-Man begins filming, and the scenes from set look amazing, Matt Smith is joining a Galaxy Far Far Away, and Chris Hemsworth clarifies his comments on Thor.

In today's Daily Fix:Looks like there's still some bad blood between gaming auteur Hideo Kojima and his former employers at Konami. In an interview with Ssense, Kojima was asked if he was going to play the upcoming remake of his Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, titled Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater. He replied, "No." Kojima and Konami had a falling out during the development of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, which saw the famed developer leave to form his own studio, which has released two Death Stranding games. In other news, Hollow Knight still does not have an official release date, despite a Nintendo Partner Direct happening, which would have been a good opportunity to make the announcement. And finally, in the same Direct, a new Octopath Traveler was announced for all current-gen consoles.
Nintendo is back in the conversation with a banger of a game with Donkey Kong Bananza. Exclusive to the Switch 2, Donkey Kong Bananza is one of the best platformers probably ever featuring fully destructible environments and dopamine hits with every smash of a rock you do. With Pauline by your side, venture down into Earth the planet's core through a variety of sublayers that represent different types of terrains and styles. It's a dense game with a ton of fun, charming characters, incredible tech and great music.Jason also surprises us by picking up Death Stranding 2. Not only did he pick it up, he's clocked in over 45 hours so this is a more in-depth review from Jason digging into why Death Stranding 2 has quickly become one of his favorite games of the year. Brett plays Mecha Break which is a mech game with hero shooter style mechanics. It's free to play and you pilot a mech in 6v6 or 3v3 objective style missions or dive into a 3 player game in an extraction mode. The game looked ok but is suprisingly a ton of fun. The question...can it keep us engaged long term?Austin dives into Atomfall that released earlier this year. With the hopes that it would bring back the feelings of Skyrim and Fallout, it unfortunately did not meet the standards Austin hoped for. It's a beautiful game but doesn't give the carrot on the stick he's looking for to keep exploring.Lastly, we have our review of the video game adaptation Until Dawn. Now a movie, it's set in the universe but follows a new story with the same premise. Is it as good or better than the game? Listen to find out! There are game developers, and then there's Hideo Kojima. It's a distinction you have to make, because few figures in the industry inspire such a mix of adoration and exasperation.
On this week's episode, Nathan and Chris are joined by Isla Hinck of Easy Allies, aka the Aftermath of YouTube. Nathan and Isla met just one week ago, at this year's TennoCon, the official Warframe convention (yes, Warframe has an official convention), so they regale Chris with tales of their time at a refreshingly positive show attended by fans who just seem to… love a thing? In 2025? I'm as surprised as you are. They also got to explore developer Digital Extremes' office inside a dead mall, which was a trip unto itself. Then we discuss a significantly more dispiriting piece of news: Payment processors, urged on by a militantly censorious group called Collective Shout, have brought their anti-porn crackdown to Steam and Itch.io, an attack on free speech that will almost certainly not end with porn. Finally, decide which kind of Hideo Kojima-created guy we'd like to be, and we tease what Aftermath has planned for the rest of the year. We have a great episode this week featuring our first look at Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding 2. We dive into this beautiful world and explore the early hours of the strand game. Brett dives into Sloclap's Rematch. These are the developers of Sifu entering into the competitive scene with a soccer game. It's a paid title with some solid mechanics, but is it enough to keep us engaged? We also review Thronefall on the Steam Deck. It just released on mobile devices, but this game originally released in 2024 and is an RTS/tower defense mix. It has a beautiful art style, great progression and a simple but complex loop that keeps you coming back for more.Sony brought a big update with the upcoming Ghost of Yotei from Sucker Punch. This is the follow up to Ghost of Tsushima and we want to know if Ghost of Yotei can outshine Tsushima? There's a ton of new features coming to this game and a whole new set of ways to uncover the world and we're excited to get our hands on it in October.Lastly, Brett rolled credits in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and it may be one of his favorite games of all time. This game has it all. A fantastic score, brilliant combat, an incredibly beautiful world and the most genuine team that crafted a masterpiece with an ending you won't forget. The efficacy of writing, naming conventions, a subversion of gameplay expectations - all this and more, just inside. The South got something to say...but we only have a little bit to add about classic sitcom Designing Women, about a group of interior designers in Atlanta sniping at each other (and the showrunners, it turns out). Like all discussions of shows we didn't find to be rich texts, we do start talking about Hideo Kojima.
Serious question, why call something Rebirth, if there is no rebirthing, where was the rebirthing? Yes I have a full review of Jurassic World Rebirth in todays drop. Plus more fallout from the Microsoft and Xbox layoffs, and who is to blame? Helldivers 2 is dropping on Xbox next month, and Nintendo ponders the future of game development. ScarJo is now the highest grossing lead actor ever, John M Chu is going to be racing into theaters as the director of Hot Wheels. Meanwhile James Gunn and Zack Snyder portal into Rick and Morty in the least suspecting way.

Welcome back to Constellation! It's true, I'm not Dagan (Dustin here), so I don't have a poem, gimmick, or some sneaky way to not really write a description. A normal ass description will have to do this week. With that said, we had a great show with a one-of-a-kind lineup! Jaffe asks about summer movies we're excited for. Chris wonders how we organize (or lack thereof). Finally, I have been reflecting on the work of Hideo Kojima with the imminent release of Death Stranding 2, and wondered how the crew felt about his games, and the idea of the auteur game director. Death Stranding is one of the most unusual and unique games I've ever played. It flies in the face of conventions and stretches itself out into the real world in some unexpected ways.
