Join Karaleigh in an interview with the joyous Lori Pine. In this episode, we discuss how to find happiness, how to measure your self worth, and the incredible idea that it's ok to feel multiple emotions at once. Lori Pine, The Joy CEO, is a Corporate VP who spent 25 years with global brands Anheuser-Busch, The Coca-Cola Company, and Campbell's Soup Company and is now an executive life coach who helps ambitious, high-performing professional women gain clarity and reclaim their joy. Her innate ability to identify the problem and quickly assess the situation helps clients spend less time swirling and more time living and loving their lives. That is Joy! Favorite takeaways: 1. Joy is within us at all times. All we have to do is access it. And it can be these micro-moments, it doesn't have to be this big hoopla. Joy is different from happiness- happiness can be very fleeting, happiness is likely an event. But joy is cellular, it's within you. It stays with you at all times and it's yours. And you can be joyous and sad at the same time. 2. This whole dichotomy of mixed emotions can really be confusing at times, because how can I be on such different ends of the spectrum with my emotions? The idea that I can be very grateful but still be longing is one that comes from the same space. I can be really grateful for my life but really want something more for it. And it's ok. 3. We are human beings and we are so complex and we get to feel all of the feelings and it gets to be ok. All of it. It all gets to be ok and totally acceptable and totally real and authentic. 4. We forget to breathe. I mean the deep kind, where your lungs expand. Breathe in the good, breathe out whatever negative is running through your mind. 5. Rock it. Just do it. Do your thing. You get to blaze your own path. Go do it your way and go show the world what's possible. Sometimes you can't find an example of somebody who's done it before, and so- show them up! Show them what's possible. 6. You get to adapt your dream to where you and what your life is. You get to make it work and you underestimate how freaking creative you are and how powerful you are. 7. Even on the dark days, joy is right at our fingertips. So just take a moment, breathe in, and choose joy.
