En este capítulo Nacho nos da una clase magistral de cómo hacer una copia de seguridad con el comando dd de un livecd o de unix en general para tener una copia de seguridad inmune a cryptolocker. Nacho comenta en el capítulo que me pasaría ejemplos de como utilizar dd pero ha pasado de mí, así que os pongo ejemplos que he sacado de linuxzone.es: Lo primero siempre es tener claro el disco duro de origen y el de destino, algo que averiguamos fácilmente con el comando (como root) fdisk -l. La sintaxis más básica, sería ésta [como root]: dd if=[origen] of=[destino] Por lo que si quisiéramos clonar un disco duro: dd if=/dev/hda of=/dev/hdb bs=1M con esto clonaríamos el disco hda en hdb. (discos IDE) O: dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdb bs=1M para discos SATA Con bs=1M, estamos diciendo que tanto la lectura como la escritura se haga en bloques de 1 megabyte (menos, sería más lento pero más seguro, y con más nos arriesgamos a perder datos por el camino). Hay que tener en cuenta que de esta forma grabarás el disco “tal cual”, MBR, tabla de particiones, espacio vacío, etc., por lo que sólo podrás grabar en un disco del mismo o mayor tamaño. Vamos a ver algunos ejemplos prácticos y opciones de este comando: dd if=/dev/hda1 of=/dev/hdb bs=1M Grabaríamos sólo la primera partición del disco de origen en el de destino. dd if=/dev/hda of=/dev/hdb1 bs=1M Grabaríamos el disco completo en la primera partición del disco de destino. dd if=/dev/hda of=/home/hda.bin Crear una imagen del disco duro, puede ser bin o iso (a partir de ahora utilizaré nuestro home como ejemplo). Como root: dd if=/dev/hda | gzip > /home/hda.bin.gz Crearíamos con el anterior comando una imagen del disco comprimida, (podemos utilizar gzip, bzip o bzip2.) Crea una imagen de un CD: dd if=/dev/cdrom of=/home/imagendeCD.iso Para montar la imagen del CD: mount -o loop imagedeCD.iso /mnt/home Copiar el Master Boot Record: dd if=/dev/hda of=mbr count=1 bs=512 Para restaurar el MBR: dd if=mbr of=/dev/hda Copiar el Volume Boot Sector (VBS): dd if=/dev/hda of=/home/sector_arranque_hda count=1 bs=512 Para restaurar el VBS: dd if=/home/sector_arranque_hda of=/dev/hda Algunas curiosidades: Recuperar un DVD rayado: dd if=/dev/cdrom of=/home/dvd_recuperado.iso conv=noerror,sync Esto no recupera todo el DVD, en este caso, sólo los sectores legibles. Sirve también para discos duros defectuosos. La opción noerror sirve para obviar los errores de lectura en cualquier situación. Otro ejemplo sería: dd conv=noerror if=/dev/hda of=~/home/imagen_disco_con_errores.iso Grabaríamos con ello una imagen del disco duro en nuestro home saltándonos los errores del disco (muy útil para discos que se están muriendo). Limpia nuestro MBR y la tabla de particiones: dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/hda bs=512 count=1 Limpia el MBR pero no toca la tabla de particiones (muy útil para borrar el GRUB sin perder datos en las particiones): dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/hda bs=446 count=1 Crea un archivo vacío de 1 Mb, una opción muy interesante como ahora veremos: dd if=/dev/zero of=archivo_nuevo_vacio bs=1024 count=1024 Crear un archivo swap de 2Gb así de fácil: sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/swapspace bs=4k count=2048M mkswap /swapspace swapon /swapspace Al borde de la paranoia… Convierte todas las letras en mayúsculas: dd if=miarchivo of=miarchivo conv=ucase Cambia en todo el disco, la palabra Puigcorbe por Slqh, ( puedes cambiar rápidamente tu nombre a todos los archivos del disco): dd if=/dev/sda | sed ‘s/Puigcorbe/Slqh/g' | dd of=/dev/sda Regalitos También hablamos del nuevo libro de Jose María Cortés Carmona, Dni en sedes electrónicas, del que ha tenido a bien regalarnos una serie de promocodes que podéis canjear en iBooks Store. Überbleibsel Browser Setup Es gibt ein paar Nachträge zur letzten Episode Vimium, eine Mischung aus LaunchBar und Shortcat - Keyboard productivity app for Mac OS X… aber halt NUR für den Browser. An wahnsinnige mit über 30 offenen Tabs: How to Enable Tab Discarding in Chrome for Improved Memory Use. Trotzdem ist es natürlich besser es erst gar nicht soweit kommen zu lassen, z.B. mit OneTap. Markdown Browser Helium Firefox iOS AppleTV Hands-On In der letzten Sendung konnten wir nur spekulieren und die Erfahrungen teilen, die andere mit dem neuen AppleTV gemacht haben. Jetzt haben Patrick und Sven aber selbst einen in der Hand und an der Klotze. Sven kann die Aufregung um den fehlenden Keyboard-Support nicht verstehen, die Eingabe der iTunes und iCloud Kontodetails ist mit der Fernbedienung kein ausgesprochenes Vergnügen, aber auch nicht so katastrophal. Einmal eingegeben sollte man dringend unter Einstellungen > Konten > iTunes und App Store > Passwort Einstellungen in jedem Fall die Notwendigkeit für Passworteingaben bei kostenpflichtigen und kostenfreien Downloads abstellen. Beim iDownloadBlog gibt es eine kurze Anleitung dazu. Patrick hingegen verzweifelt an der Fernbedienung und bangt, dass die Remote App nun gar nicht upgedatet wird, wie es Jason Snell gehört haben will. Neben den hauseigenen Passwörtern von Apple, gesellen sich zur Eingabefolter täglich neue Apps dazu. Hier rächt sich definitiv jedes obskure 50-Zeichen-Passwort. Was bei Sven nicht geklappt hat ist die “magische” Übernahme von Netzwerkeinstellungen und -password vom iPhone, obwohl dieses mit eingeschaltetem Bluetooth nahe am AppleTV lag. Whatever… wenigstens Patrick hatte da keine Probleme. Da neue Interface ist super und extra slick. Schön auch das Sven’s Logitech Universalfernbedienung, die bereits auf die ältere AppleTV Version geeicht war, direkt funktioniert. Natürlich nicht für Spiele — und von denen gibt es einige coole im AppleTV AppStore — da muss die Touch-Remote ran. Bei manchen Spielen ist die allerdings sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig. Durchaus nachvollziehbar, dass viele den Kauf eines extra Controllers in Betracht ziehen. Beide Piloten haben als erstes Spiel übrigens Does Not Commute gekauft. Lobenswert ist, dass das Preisniveau für Apps und Spiele auf dem AppleTV gefühlt höher ist als beim iOS Pendant — hoch lebe die glorreiche Zukunft der Indie-Entwickler-Szene. In Sachen Leistungsfähigkeit liegt es locker über dem MacBook und den MacBook Airs. Es scheint also langsam Wirklichkeit zu werden, dass man sein Laptop gegen ein hybrides Tablet eintauschen kann. Würde vielleicht der eine oder andere aus der Pilotenkanzel durchaus in Erwägung ziehen. Die ersten Reviews sind allerdings sehr gemischt. Walt Mossberg ist mit dem iPad Pro nicht warm geworden während Federico Vittici erwartungsgemäß aus dem Häuschen ist (Achtung, plant 30 Minuten ein um sein Review zu lesen – alternativ die passende Folge von “Connected” hören). Einer der relevanten Reviews kommt von John Gruber, der das Potential des iPod Pro als Laptopersatz sieht, allerdings ein paar massive Einschränkungen beim Keyboard-Support darlegt, die zumindest Sven erstmal vor dem Kauf zurückschrecken lässt. Zum Glück nichts, was Apple nicht in einem der nächsten iOS Updates beheben könnte. Jim Dalrymple hingegen sieht im iPad Pro vor allem ein Gerät für Kreative, denn von der Genauigkeit und Geschwindigkeit des Apple Pencils sind alle wie weggeblasen. Der Apple Pencil und das Apple Keyboard für das iPad Pro werden allerdings erst in 3-4 Wochen lieferfähig während das iPad Pro schon verfügbar ist. Viele testeten auch das Logitech Create Keyboard als Alternative und befanden es für besser. Aus der Übercast-Sicht heisst die Empfehlung aber erstmal abwarten und schauen, ob vor allem der Keyboard-Support in kommenden iOS Versionen verbessert wird. Markdown und Markdown Flavors Die Philosophie hinter Grubers Markdown ist “KISS”. Markdown is intended to be as easy-to-read and easy-to-write as is feasible. Die meisten davon basieren auf JavaScript, womit schon einmal gefühlte 1000 Stolpersteine mit integriert sind – vor allem bei Whitespace (Returns, Leerzeichen, …). Je nach Parser sieht man dann im gerendertem HTML auch Unterschiede, also eigentlich genau das, was man als Markdownnutzer mitunter vermeiden will. Neke su stalne, neke privremene. Probao i Linux, čak i Android VM u Parallelsu. Miki obajsnio neke cake u vezi sa svojim poslom koje možda mogu nekome koristiti (mogućnost da se ima preko 10 GB instaliranog 4D softvera u svim virtuelnim mašinama, a da se ne duplira zauzeti prostor). Jedno poređenje i još jedno poređenje ova tri alata. Alek koristi VMWare Fusion 6 u kome 2D igre tipa Age of Empires II HD rade savršeno, na Early 2011 Macbook Prou.
