The Russo Brothers are back with another film... and it's, yet again, another straight to streaming one. Since Avengers: Endgame, the Russos have not been producing the most critically-acclaimed hits, to be nice. Cherry on Apple TV+ was critically panned, The Gray Man received mixed reviews and a lot of their other produced content, like the Citadel universe, was destroyed online. Now, they've devised to go back to the MCU to direct the next two Avengers movies... but until then(!), we've got a $300M+ Netflix movie to enjoy! And those have a great track record, don't they? Don't forget as well, this time the Russos have the writers of all three Captain America movies and the Infinity War/Endgame double feature along with them. Find out whether The Electric State is a return to form for the Russos in this review! The Electric State:Directed by: Anthony Russe & Joe RussoScreenplay by: Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeelyBased on the book by: Simon StålenhagProduced by: Chris Castaldi, Thiago Da Costa, Mike Larocca, Patrick Newall, Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-OtsdotMusic by: Alan SilvestriCinematography by: Stephen F. Morning nerds! All is fair game! Last but not least hebben we deze week ook een drietal trailers die we bekijken waaronder de nieuwe Gran Turismo film, Marvel's The Marvels en Gareth Edward's The Creator. Genoeg te bespeken dus, veel kijk- en luisterplezier! ------ Spotify ► https://spoti.fi/2qhR6lr Apple Podcast ► https://apple.co/3GzfqqD Twitter ► https://www.twitter.com/NerdCulturePC Instagram ► https://www.instagram.com/NerdCulture.PC Jelle ► https://www.twitter.com/GKJelle Huey ► https://www.twitter.com/RealHueyBrown Koos ► https://www.twitter.com/jtmooten Outro by Studio Megaane

This show is no stranger to the MCU, but it's been a hot minute since the Infinity War & Endgame spoilercasts, and even longer since our last dedicated dive into this pop-culture juggernaut. Making her first appearance on the show, John's comrade in fandom Mia helps us catch up with releases beyond Black Widow, both by reflecting on memories of movies past, adjusting to an MCU without T'Challa, and in particular discussing the recent Shang-Chi and what its attention to cultural detail, great casting, and making up for Ben Kingsley's Mandarin mean to Mia as an Asian-American. Afterward, we take a deep dive into the first three live-action MCU series in the new frontier of Disney+ weekly series. Topics include how these shows take advantage of their longer format, speculating what consequences they may hold for future shows and movies, why Agatha rules and Hayward drools, how timely Falcon and Winter Soldier is, and the as-of-this-writing ongoing desire for an Alligator Loki plushie. The Bandwagon continues its unstoppable march to Episode 100, but makes a pit stop at Exit 97 this week. On the show, the guys put a cherry on the top of This Is Pop as they review the final Episode of Season 1 and offer up their thoughts on the series as a whole. They then recap Episode 6 of Marvel's What If...? What If Killmonger not only rescued Tony Stark, but brought the world to the brink of a global conflict? The Nerds also make a quick, but hugely important, stop at the Trailer Park as trailers dropped for (finally) Season 2 of Locke & Key, along with the first trailer for Marvel's next big series, Hawkeye (Rey Cash could barely contain his excitement). On the second half of the show, Andrew Davis of Popanime Comics (@popanimecomics) jumps on the Bandwagon to talk to the guys about all he has going on at Popanime Comics and his other ventures. Andrew then sticks around to touch on some News from the Nerdosphere with the fellas. Lastly, the guys celebrated Batman Day by talking about The Dark Knight Trilogy. What makes it quite possibly the most beloved trilogy of all-time and how does it stack up with other fan favorites such as the Star Wars Trilogy or Infinity War/Endgame? The Road to 100 gets a little shorter with this extra awesome Episode of BWN!@WrestlngRealist@AttitudeAgg@itsReyCash@PCTunney@therealcplatt@ChairshotMediaAbout Bandwagon NerdsJoin Patrick O'Dowd, David Ungar, PC Tunney and Rey Cash as they keep everyone up on all things nerd, and maybe add some new nerds along the way. Introducing: CC Ice. CC is a professional stunt woman known for doubling Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch and Scarlet Johansson's Black Widow throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She is the owner of Space Cat Stunts Inc, Apex Entertainment Studios, and The Chamber Gym. In this episode, we discuss CC's love for Aliens' Ripley and T2's (Terminator 2) Sarah Connor, how being a dancer helps stunt performers work with fight partners to sell a story, married life as a stunt industry couple, the influence of CC's incredibly daring wing-walker pilot family, and how being a magician's assistant helped her master movie magic. CC also helps us breakdown the final battle of WandaVision, Infinity War's fight between Scarlet Witch and Proxima Midnight, and her latest work in the Black Widow solo film. She talks about the difference between making a Marvel series and a Marvel feature film, mastering and evolving the movements of Scarlet Witch, blending magic conjuring with hand-to-hand combat, and playing a dangerous game of memory while running along unstable Budapest roofs. More Wine Pod listeners, assemble! Grab your wine and join us this week as we revisit Avengers: Age of Ultron. It's no question that the film is a pivotal part of the MCU, particularly in light of Infinity War, Endgame, and WandaVision, so we thought it was time to rewatch the film with the benefit of hindsight, which as some say, is 20/20 "vision." Sorry - we couldn't resist. We kick off the discussion by sharing when we first saw Age of Ultron and our initial impressions of the film. We loved seeing the Avengers working together like a well oiled machine and getting a boost from Nick Fury when they needed it. We praised Tony Stark's mastery of sarcasm and James Spader's casting as the snarky voice of Ultron. We also managed to work in some interesting revelations about crying in the movies and the consequences of telling Kristine that she's just like her mom. As for the sh*t we didn't like, we are very relieved that Nat and Bruce never ended up together. Next, we talk about how Infinity War and Endgame influenced our hindsight views of Age of Ultron. The film is an important bridge in the MCU, particularly with respect to Civil War and Infinity War/Endgame. Likewise, Age of Ultron is important to understanding Wanda Maximoff's character journey, so we discuss our hindsight impressions of Age of Ultron in the context of the events that took place in WandaVision. We also begrudgingly acknowledge how important Clint Barton is to multiple character arcs that ultimately play out in Endgame and WandaVision and work in a little bit of Barton bashing just to balance things out. We close out the discussion by sharing our favorite Easter eggs from Age of Ultron and explore what we would change now that we have the benefit of hindsight. It wouldn't be an episode of I'ma Need More Wine without a discussion about the Avengers who quenched our thirst. Find out who we want to join us in the pool AKA Thor's Water of Sights. Links to sh*t we mentioned:- Check out the deleted pool/Water of Sights scene that Kristine discussed here.- Listen to more in-depth Marvel analysis from Kristine, Marc, and their other fabulous co-hosts over at the Marvelous TV Club Podcast.Until next time! Welcome to the first episode of Film Joy. In this episode, Billy and I discuss Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame. What we liked, disliked, and ultimately how we felt about it as the finale to a saga that many of us have been enjoying for over a decade. Although it’s tough to find someone who isn’t familiar with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I still feel compelled to say SPOILERS ahead. This is a raw, reactive conversation. No details were intentionally spared. At the helm of both movies are the Russo Brothers. The director duo that brought us the Winter Soldier and Civil War within the MCU, and also had their hands in bringing us shows like Arrested Development and Community. I hope you enjoy our conversation about Marvel’s Infinity War and Endgame.

In this episode recorded back in September, I discuss the blockbuster movies from 2018 and 2019: Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame. I talk about the whole movies and which movie I think is superior.
You could not live with your other podcasts. And where did that bring you? Back to Expand Cool. We’re thankful. Because now we know what we must do. We will release an episode discussing Avengers Infinity War & Endgame.
Join us in our season 2 premiere as we give you part 2 of this gay agenda. Why is it more important than black issues? Why are we bullied into? Let's talk!
A new (final?) trailer for "Joker" came out and, boy, did it hook our heroes' interest! Justin did the "Infinity War"/ "Endgame" double feature and also watched "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" again! Matt...didn't do a whole lot. But he went to a concert, so that was really his fun for the week. Toy talk (as usual) and a little bit of talk about "Young Justice" and "GLOW".
In our second back to back episode we talk about our Infinity War/ Endgame movie marathon. In addition we go into what we think is going to happen in the MCU in the future and what we want to happen. Stay tuned for part two of this episode for Eric's discussion of Sleeping Giant State Park. Selected music in intro provided by: http://www.royaltyfree-music.com/
here’s something that brandon and i recorded a while ago but just didn’t know what to do with so now that we found an easy platform for us to use we can post this hahaha hope you enjoy our movie reviews!

0:27 Robert KlauserHope all's well everyone. Sean, do you think the next slate of MCU films will more likely be announced at SDCC or D23? As always, thanks.4:59 Mookie JohnsonAre Marvel movie premieres invite only? Would coming to LA for an opening night be a better experience than elsewhere in your opinion? I'm thinking about planning to watch some kind of Marvel opening out there and I'm just looking for some insight.7:47 David RosenHey Friends, Hope everyone had a good week and was able to add at least one more End Game viewing to their count. Sean, does it make sense to you that Peggy would have a picture of skinny Steve on her SHIELD desk in the 70's when she's supposedly been married between 15-20 years at that point? I'm not sure I really bought into the whole “Steve was really Peggy's mystery husband the whole time” theory, but does this lend any credence to that idea? At the end of Agent Carter season 1 I believe it was, she throws the vial of Steve's blood off the bridge as a way to signify that she has moved on, so why keep a picture of him on her desk? Was she really not over him after all 25 years later? Was Steve actually Peggy's husband the whole time? Or was it just a visual cue to tell the audience that Steve has entered Peggy's office (although in this case we still had her name on the door to tell us, so it makes me wonder still why the picture was there). What are your thoughts about Peggy keeping a picture of Skinny Steve on her desk?12:21 Paul Shearman Hey Sean and everyone, hope you're all having a good week so far. As of today I have now caught up with all the Q&A's since Avengers Endgame released - Sean, I know it's been said by other patrons recently, but I have to add my two cents (or pence!) worth and say that the content from you (and Paul) since Endgame dropped has been sensational, and I've enjoyed listening to all the questions and brilliant responses from you here, plus the main show and Bugles. Thanks for adding to my Avengers Endgame viewing experience (6 screenings in and going strong!). I'd like to ask a question related to the level of public acceptance for The Hulk after the 5 year time jump in Endgame if I may. We see what looks to be a hugely recognisable and very approachable jolly green giant in the restaurant scene - with no need for him to be in hiding or incognito etc. Do you think this could be as a result of powerful people like Secretary Ross having been dusted, and the desire to enforce the Sokovia Accords being so much less of a priority for the world leaders that remained? We don't seem to have what we would consider an ‘active' Avengers roster operating on Earth, so perhaps the Accords were just abandoned? Is there any part of you that wishes we had gotten a little bit of exposition about the state of things like the Accords? Ultimately I totally agree with all the story choices we saw in the movie (3 hours and not a second was wasted in my view) but I would have maybe liked a bit more on this angle. As always, I welcome your thoughts, and look forward to your answer. Best wishes as always to you and all the patrons for the week ahead (love you all 3000!) 18:23 Mark Russell Hey Sean, maybe I missed something but Was there anyone at the controls to bring the Avengers back from the “time heist”? Hulk was there to do it all the other times but obviously wasn't for this one as he went back to New York 2012. 20:57 Mookie Johnson In Age of Ultron, we see Scarlet Witch have some mind manipulating abilities and we know that she received her powers from the Mind stone. Similarly, Captain Marvel's abilities are from the space stone. So do you think she has any related powers? In my head cannon it is part of how she can cover so much territory and also helps explain how she got back to earth so quickly from the start of the battle. 22:35 David Rosen Considering that we just lost Nat, Tony, (and to some extent Steve), when (and possibly who) do you think the next really big character death will be? Whoever it is, I just hope it's a while until we have to say goodbye to anyone else. 26:22 Justin What do you think the MCU will or could look like in about 20-30 years time? Meaning who do you think the main Avengers at that point will be and how big do you see the mcu being at that point? 28:45 Giuseppe Vicaretti Hey Sean, loving the show and all the work, including the office hours segment, keep up your incredible work. My question for you this week is, what do you think the MCU will show first when it comes to the Fox characters that we just got from the merger? I really want to see them tackle the Fantastic Four, or even get some Xmen in the mix. I know it might not happen for a while but what team, or which characters do you think will be the first they premiere? 30:35 Woo S! Kim This may be the shortest and simplest question I have ever asked you Sean, is Brie Larson the internet's new Kelly Marie Tran because for the past four or five months or so, I am seeing familiar troll toxicity. 36:47 Woo S! Kim In my head I think Iron Man left a video message for War Machine, Happy, Spider-Man, and Ms. Potts, just like he left for Morgan, do you concur, or do you think Tony much like Howard wouldn't get too emotional and he figures the people he loves they know how much they meant to Iron Man? Related to this do you think Happy not that he needed much encouragement was asked by Iron Man to look out for Spider-Man just in case Tony died? 38:32 Woo S! Kim Hey Sean, will you be getting the Nano Gauntlet?39:34 Woo S! Kim After a year of build-up and enjoying the journey, I didn't let “Avengers: Endgame” in and I didn't get it in my opening screening in IMAX, or my second screening at AMC Dolby I never let the film in, it finally took my third and fourth showings that I felt the emotion and the gravitas of the characters and felt the emotion of what was on screen. Is it good or bad that the spectacle and the pageantry of “Avengers: Endgame” the build up, overshadows some of the raw emotions and character work in the film and some of these things go unnoticed or is it good, because audience members if they do repeat viewings like I have and many others get more out of the film everytime they see “Avengers: Endgame” which also helps the film's Box Office?42:44 Mookie Johnson I just finished the Oscar nomination Daily Bugle. I hope you end up correct about a well earned and long overdue nomination for Robert Downey Jr. Can you also potentially see Chris Evans, and Scarlett Johansson being nominated for best supporting actor, and best supporting actress respectively? 45:42 Carmen MalusaDo you believe Rocket Raccoon getting the spotlight in Infinity War/Endgame is a foreshadowing for whats to come for the character, whether its being the leader of a next/newer team of the Guardians or his own Rocket/Groot movie? I loved him being center pieces to both movies and think Bradley Cooper is amazing in this role.47:36 Carmen MalusaI know that the time travel concept doesn't need to be explained in depth in a movie like this, but is the only reason Scott Lang came up with time travel through the Quantum Realm because it was only 5 hours for him inside the realm instead of 5 years? Or am I missing something? The way I look at it, since he , in a way, went forward 5 years in 5 hours, he thought what if we reversed it? 49:13 Carmen MalusaWith Ironman not being the lead man in the MCU, will you change the logo for the podcast? 0:58 brentacPrimeGreetings everybody. I've been thinking about Cap and the hammer. I have heard you explain your theory on why he wasn't worthy, or not quite worthy, to pick the hammer up in Age of Ultron.I think however he was actually worthy because he clearly moved it. I think he chose not to lift the hammer to not put Thor in a situation where he would feel belittled. Or to expand that, he may have been thinking that for the good of the team dynamic it would be best if the others didn't see him differently. But perhaps my best piece of evidence that he was indeed worthy, is that as far as I know in the comics, and never in the MCU, has the hammer had a sense of partial worth. It's always been portrayed as binary. On or off. Worthy or not worthy. Every other time someone tried to lift the hammer it simply stayed still. Plus, in the final, amazing, battle during Endgame, I don't think Cap would have even attempted to pick it up if he didn't already know he had been able to before. I'm curious what you think about this?10:56 brentacPrimeHave you gone back and watched any MCU movies other than Endgame over the last couple weeks? If so which? If not, do you know which one you'll go to first? What was the last MCU movie you saw before Endgame?12:49 brentacPrimeIs Endgame going to top Avatar?15:20 Jim ScroggsWith the Russo's taking a break from the MCU, are Markus and McFeely taking a break from writing MCU movies as well?16:55 Mookie JohnsonWe have a good idea what movies are coming out next, but what 3 movies would you want to see next based on the events of Endgame?20:09 Brian CreweIs it me or is there a little beat between Rhodey and Carol during the Hologram scene in Endgame that hints at a relationship between them during the five year jump?21:50 Hector Giovanni NavarreteHey Sean and fellow Patrons, hope everyone has a great weekend !Favorite moment(s) in AE? Sorry if you've answered this question already.25:50 Hector Giovanni NavarreteHow do you think the WandaVision show will bring back Vision?28:26 Hector Giovanni NavarreteDo you think Cassie, Morgan, Lila and Harley will appear as superheroes later in the MCU?Thanks Sean!30:23 Carmen MalusaWith Endgame behind us, what is your most realistic landscape of the next phase, assuming there's no surprise new heroes introduced? Without thinking about dates or limit on movies per phase, what movies do you see Marvel announcing for the next years to come? I see it as: Dr. Strange 2, Black Panther 2, Antman (& Wasp) 3, GotG Vol 3 ft. Thor, Eternals, Shang Chi, Black Widow (prequel more than likely), Captain Marvel 2, Spider-Man 3, a new avengers project. I don't think they will stray too far away from the formula, though I would love to see Nova or Fantastic 4 squeezed in there.33:47 William Ford-ConwayWhat did you ultimately think of Captain Marvel's small role in the movie. Personally I was happy with he being an accent to the movie, partially because I liked the focus on the core Avengers, but mostly because in the grand scheme it really makes the MCU feel like a Universe. Much in the same way that powerful entities like Silver Surfer would appear for big battles in the comics, Carol being absent but present for vital fights feels more authentically "real world" and just makes the world feel bigger. I will admit that a small part of my brain is a bit tired of swerve in the marketing because I was expecting her to have a bigger role, but I judge primarily the movie and at the end of the day I dug the amount she was in. Also do you think Captain Marvel will get a small bump after this movie?40:12 Woo S! KimI am one of the people that wanted “Agent Carter” to returned, one of the interesting things in the aftermath of “Avengers: Endgame” and I mentioned this in the Discord Sean is how Chris Markus and Stephen McFeeley essentially made the events of “Agent Carter” null and void because of the new timeline that was created, now I am not discounting the work on that series, absolutely not I loved that series but you see what I mean, Sean? Also, I find it rather fitting like Alex Ward stated on the Discord since Chris Markus and Stephen McFeely created “Agent Carter” they had the unique chance that not a lot of showrunners get to do in terms retroactively finishing their own television show in a film, do you concur?42:36 Woo S! KimI am not saying they will direct this film, but in your point of view is your safe bet for directors of the MCU X-Men film, the same as mine: The Russo Brothers? Related to this are Chris Markus and Stephen McFeely safe bets as writers of an MCU X-Men film? Lastly, do you think one of the reasons that The Russo's have been dropping hints of possibly doing a Marvel Studios “Secret Wars” and or Wolverine film is because Feige and The Russos are in talks of what next Marvel film The Russo's want to do even if production doesn't begin for hypothetically another six to eight years or so?46:11 Woo S! KimMy question is related to something you talked about on the commentary for “Captain America: Civil War” about how the kiss between Captain Rogers and Sharon Carter and the moment they shared after was a sign to them and the True Believers that yes, that is as far as this relationship will go, did you feel the same way when Thor and Valkyrie had the awkward friendship hug at the end of “Avengers: Endgame” because I sure did.47:26 William Ford-ConwayHow much do you anticipate Spider-Man Far From Home to address the events of Infinity War/Endgame (specifically in regards with who was dusted). While the fact that some of Peter's classmates have moved on to college is an interesting piece of world building, when it comes to the MCU I'm usually more interested in how the characters progress rather than the plot minutiae. For instance, Peter wanting to give Spidey a break and go on a vacation feels like a good place to go after going through the events of the Avengers movies. Honestly, I have a feeling we will just have to assume Peter's main crew got dusted. What do you think? 51:06 William Ford-ConwayWith time travel so pivotal and explored in this film, do you think this hurts or opens up the potential for Kang the Conqueror. I think it would be interesting to maybe reinvent Kang as some sort of protector of time and maybe down the line he can show up upset that the Avengers have screwed with time. That said I can see Marvel not wanting to go back to the time travel well so soon.55:04 David RosenSo I haven't really heard this come up at all, but I seem to remember in the diner scene when Bruce is explaining how he came to realize that the Hulk was something to embrace rather than try to suppress, I noticed that Natasha had a very subtle reaction that seemed to suggest she started thinking about something, and my mind went to their conversation from Age of Ultron about how they are both “monsters” with dark sides stemming from their pasts. I like to believe that in that moment, Nat started thinking about she could also try to come to terms with the two warring sides of her personality as the trained assassin who was taught to suppress emotion and personal connection, and the woman who yearned to wipe the blood from her ledger and maybe one day settle down with a family. With that idea planted in her mind, when the opportunity presented itself to make a sacrifice, do you think that any part of that decision came from seeing it was a way to ultimately come to terms with her past and who she'd become? 1:01:01 brentacPrimeOff marvel topic do you have any thoughts on the new Sonic trailer and that the director announced they are going to re-design the character's look?1:08:04 David RosenLet's say for argument sake that in the future of the MCU, a situation arises that ONLY Tony Stark will know how to solve, whatever that may be. Could you see the quantum realm being used in future movies to pluck someone really important, like a Tony Stark, from the past to solve a problem in the future? Furthermore, with knowledge of and access to the quantum realm, if people can be treated like infinity stones – where they can be pulled from the people and then returned - is anyone really dead and gone going forward in the MCU?1:13:24 Woo S! KimNow that Professor Hulk has been established in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is it out of the realm of possibility that I will not see my dream fight of Hulk v. Wolverine and or your Marvel Cinematic Universe dream fight of The Hulk v. The Thing, related to this do you believe something may have gone wrong with Doctor Banner's experiments or will in the future and we True Believers may see The Grey Hulk and or classic savage Green Hulk or in your point of view, Professor Hulk is going to remain in the MCU for the foreseeable future?1:16:22 AdamHey Sean not really and endgame question but I wanted your thoughts. What way should we watch the movies now. I have a friend who hasn't seen the movies at all and was wondering what order I should show them to him in timeline order or in the way that they came out. Thanks for all you do.1:18:28 Mark BrianDo you think the destruction of Avengers Compound will lead to Avengers Mansion as the new headquarters?1:19:34 Mark BrianI found it interesting that Nakia was not only not a part of the final battle with Thanos, but she also wasn't with T'Challa, Shuri and Ramonda at the end of the film as they viewed Wakanda from the balcony. Whether she was among the vanished or not, you would think she'd want to be with T'Challa after five years. Where do you imagine she was? Do you think it's possible that she survived the Snappening, and perhaps managed to move on from T'Challa during the five years? Or perhaps she was overcome with grief like Clint, leading to a version of Malice. If so, maybe this could open the door for Storm, or perhaps even Monica Lynne (I know you don't like the character in the comics, but I'm sure Feige & co. would make adjustments for the MCU).1:23:24 Michael WeaselboyHey Sean my question is simple, What small thing would you change about Endgame, either production wise or storywise?? One little thing I would change is when Sam not calling Steve right before the final battle, I know it is a callback to The Winter Soldier but I think seeing that portal open just out of nowhere would have been better, thats just what I think. Thoughts?? See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

We're back hopefully. Sorry for the long hiatus. We tried recording a month back ago but we scrapped it. We'll try to keep this alive as best we can. Aiming to make this a weekly podcast so if David can't join in for an episode, then Jeremy will do a solo podcast. This week we talk about what we've been doing when we haven't been recording.
