His character, known as Sis Maria, a feared neighbourhood “witch” who harasses their next door neighbour, has gone viral on social media platforms. TshisaLIVE podcast chats to him about himself, the character and his future plans. Sis Maria may be a witch online, but Thato has an ancestral calling, and has had to undergo self-initiation. He's not just a TikToker. His first love is music, and he left school in Grade 11 to pursue a music career. He may soon release a song with “a big amapiano and Afro-pop artist”. Thato's TikTok account has close to 1-million followers and his videos are shared widely on other social media platforms. He chats about the inspiration behind the character Sis Maria, a cold and nosy woman who bullies her neighbour: “I have been experiencing bullying from my neighbour, who is also my relative.” His family does not understand his content, but he says they are supportive: “My mom almost thought I'm going crazy.” TshisaLIVE
Bouncing Back from Losing a Job or a BusinessHere's a bit of humor to kick off our day. A man was lamenting to his friend about losing his job. His friend, trying to make light of the situation, asked, "Well, did you enjoy your job?" The man replied, "Oh, I didn't actually do the job; I just loved having one!"Today, we're going to delve into the topic: "Bouncing Back from Losing a Job or a Business." Our foundational scripture is Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."Life is filled with challenges and disappointments. Sometimes we lose jobs or businesses, and it can feel like the rug has been pulled from beneath our feet. But let's take heart from the biblical story of Job.Job was a man who lost everything: his wealth, his children, and his health (Job 1:13-19). Yet, even in his darkest hour, Job didn't abandon his faith. In Job 1:21, he declares: "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised."Like Job, we can find our strength and hope in the Lord during our time of loss. As Thomas Edison once said after one of his factories burned down, "I am 67, but I'm not too old to make a fresh start."Remember the story of Joseph. He was sold into slavery, falsely accused, and imprisoned. But God used these hardships to position him for a greater purpose. Eventually, Joseph became the second in command in Egypt, saving his family and the nation from famine (Genesis 41:39-41).God is in the business of turning our setbacks into comebacks. Your job loss or business failure may be a setup for a greater blessing. As Romans 8:28 assures us, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."Let us pray: "Father, we thank You that even in the midst of job loss and business failure, You have a plan to prosper us and not to harm us, a plan to give us hope and a future. Help us to trust You and lean not on our own understanding. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen."As we conclude, I challenge you to trust in God's promise in Jeremiah 29:11. Just like Job and Joseph, believe that He has a plan for you, even in the midst of job loss or business failure. Instead of focusing on the loss, focus on God, the one who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).God bless you, and may you see His hand of provision and promotion even in the midst of loss!

I feel a slow turning of the tide back to freedom liberty and those who are fighting for our constitutional rights. Do you feel it? Please email me at podcast@thetangledangle.com and give me your thoughts.podcast@TheTangledAngle.comAll but about 6 states in our nation have moved on. In the 44 states that have moved forward, people are living with the fact that Covid will be here for awhile, and that viruses have been with us for thousands of years. They have weighed the benefits vs. risks, and moved on. It's time for the state of WA to move on also. WE are now over 650 days of Inslee's one man rule of our state, and its time to move on as citizens, and demand the legislature have some oversight when it comes to the governor's ability to declaring an emergency. In Arizona where I recently visited, restaurants are open, with no masks required. The only restaurant staff that are wearing masks is if the restaurant is part of a national chain. The locally owned restaurants are mask free. Stores and shops are all mask free. Again, if they are a national chain, the only ones wearing a mask are the employees. WA is one of only 6 states requiring masks, and the ONLY state with an outdoor mask mandate! It is only 1 of 6 states to require certain workers to get the mRNA injections. This includes all state agencies, operators of any educational setting, and operators of any healthcare setting. How do we move on from here?*Stop wearing a mask. This is like keeping the flies out of your back yard picnic BBQ with a chain link fence. Viruses are extremely tiny particles and the weave of a mask is no barrier to a virus. *Realize your own health is in your own hands, and the government does not care about your health. If they did, they would come out with messages telling us to eat balanced diets, take supplements and vitamins, exercise, lose excess weight, stop smoking and vaping, and get the sleep you need. *Insist that the legislature this January 2022 when they go into session have a top priority of reigning in the governor's power, and provide oversight to his unchecked power. *Don't be controlled by the fear. I was in King Co this week, and there are still people driving around in their cars by themselves wearing a mask. The fear must be so hard to live with, so sad, and so unnecessary. People who make decisions out of fear make poor decisions. Arm yourself with the facts, and don't let fear into the mix. *Allow for each of us to make our own health care choices. We all know the risks, the availablility of the shot; it's free at grocery stores and drug stores, and we have all made our choices. Its time to move on and talk about something else. And I want to give a shout out to those of you who walked away from, or got fired from, careers you loved because you would not take the injection. Good for you. My husband and I walked that same path 25 years ago, when he left a job he loved doing because of circumstances he could not control, and it was heartbreaking and financially crushing at the time, and really stripped us of our confidence while we lived with an unknown future. I was not working at the time and our 3 kids were very young. But God had other plans for us. 16 years later and many twists and turns in our lives, he was WA State House Minority Leader and one of the most powerful people in elected state government. We could never have done that if he would have stayed in that job that he had 16 years earlier. God knows the future, and he can be trusted with it. There are more of us than there are of them, so continue to speak up & speak out. It's time to move forward & with courage and conviction, LIVE!!

Call it what you want—getting fired, discharged, laid off, retrenched, or receiving your pink slip—losing your job hurts. Strangely enough, job loss ranks among the highest in stress when compared to other life-altering events such as death, divorce, and severe illness. There are times when losing one's job doesn't come as a big surprise. And while it may rattle your nerves, the benefit of preparing for it is invaluable. Yet, most job losses are unexpected. They seem to come out of nowhere and can knock you off your feet. Whether it has everything to do with your performance or nothing at all, it's still hard. However, if you look at job loss from an enlarged perspective, you realize that success in life is measured far less by our opportunities than by how we respond to life's setbacks and challenges. Sometimes you wonder do I have bad luck or is this happening for me not against me. We always think the worse when things happen to us but sometimes its a blessing in disguise that you didn`t know you needed to let go of a toxic environment that wasn`t helping you grow, I am grateful for the 5 years but it was time to leave that unhealthy job where it didn`t help me grow. Yes getting fire is the worse but its so freeing and empowering to chase what you truly desire or dreamt of. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/carlitaa23/message

Starting again after years in the same job can be daunting. Many feel scared that they won't be able to find long term employment again. What do you do if you now find yourself out of work? Many do what they know best, send their CV out as much as possible and look for another job. They jump into a huge stream of people trying to swim upstream to get to the one job at the end. So how do you take fear and anxiety away when all around you is falling apart? Here are 3 quick wins to help you take control and get back in the game.1. Talk to people, don't keep everything to yourself. I have been guilty of this in the past. I thought a problem shared was a problem doubled. I would stress and strain all night long looking for solutions. These days I have people around me who I know and trust. Everything has improved since I started opening up. My home life is way better because my partner understands my pain and can help me. I get solutions quicker because I can talk to smarter people than me. Friends who have been through the same experience or educated in an area you struggle are often a source of Free help. Failing that there are always coaches and mentors who can guide you.2. Learn a new skill.Life is competitive, if you find yourself out of work take it as an opportunity to learn something new. I recently mentored a Black Cab driver, his income has almost ground to a halt because of the Pandemic. As a consequence, he did a handyman course and offered his newfound talents to his local community. Whilst not earning the same as before, he has a purpose and an income to support himself and his family. He will return to the cab when Londoners return to work but he has new skills and is enjoying life again. The stress he had has gone, he has multiple sources of income now and the ability to reinvent himself if needed. 3. The Goal activityWhen you lose a job, it isn't good enough to just send a CV out to anyone and everyone, sit back and wait. Make a plan of action instead. Work out what you need to do and when. A great technique I teach people is what we call the ‘Goal activity'Start by writing out the Goal you want to achieve. Be specific and really think about what you want. If it is another job – where do you want to work? Who for? What Location? What job title? What Salary? What does the office look and feel like? How do you look and feel like?As you write, write in the context that you have already achieved your goal. Do this to embed it in your mind what you want and how it will feel. Now give yourself a date you achieved your goal on. It must be realistic, as does your goal. No point in writing on the 3rd of March 2022 I landed my dream job of Astronaut and was the first man on the moon. That job has already been fulfilled. Now you have a goal you want to achieve and a date you want to achieve it by do this……Write down at least a minimum (and I mean minimum) of 20 things you can do to achieve your goal.Don't worry about the order, just write 20 or more things to do. The more you can write the better. Once your list is complete pick out 2 or 3 reasy things to do and do them immediately. Doing this will put you in a great mood and get you on track to getting what you want. Mark all the other list entries as a number….Really importantImportantNot so important but needs doingSomeone else can do this for mePlace all your tasks into your diary and start working through them. This exercise will give you so many ideas and get you excited. Just by doing and executing will help you keep focussed and take away negativity.

“That saved my life. I mean, me being laid off saved my life.” From losing her job to finding her greater purpose, Ellen Yao knows that God has been at work in her life. After immigrating from South Korea and growing up in church, surrounded by Christian friends and family, Ellen tried to find her own way and identity as a young adult. But everything she tried, from partying to climbing the corporate ladder, left her feeling empty inside. That prompted a desperate prayer from Ellen, asking God to show up and prove He was real. And He did, in a way that Ellen never could have expected. After being laid off, she gave her life to Jesus, went back to school, met her husband, and found herself on an adventure of a lifetime, her very first trip, to Iraq in the middle of war with ISIS. This is an incredible experience you’ll have to hear to believe. 2:45 – Ellen’s family immigrates to the US from South Korea and converts to Christianity 6:43 – In college Ellen drifted away from church in pursuit of her own identity and worldview 10:45 – Ellen gets into “ricing” cars and partying, and then climbs the “corporate ladder” and pursues “stable life” 12:51 – Ellen’s prayer for God to show up leads to several huge changes in her life 19:18 – During the war with ISIS in Iraq Ellen feels called by God to go there 22:43 – Memories of going to Iraq and the launch of her new “life of purpose” 29:31 –Ellen’s greater purpose in this seasonWould you like know more about how you can connect with your greater purpose? How can we find the light behind a loss. Even though loss is devastating it can bring us light and healing. How to deal with loss and how to help ourselves or those who have lost. Loss is life changing, whether its the loss of your house, business, a loved one, a job, a beloved pet, or a relationship...it's like a bomb going off in our brain. The loss always brings us more light, but initially it doesn't feel like that. What can we do when we've had a great loss and what can we do that will help others at this time?
