Welcome to Episode 44 of That Greenwich Life! This episode marks the final episode of Season One, and I'm taking a moment to reflect on the incredible journey this podcast has been. When I launched this show last year, I had no idea what it would become—how many people it would positively impact, how deeply personal it would get, and how much it would push me to grow. Over the past year, I've shared my own stories and the stories of my incredible guests about motherhood, grief, career pivots, personal reinvention, and all the messy, beautiful, complicated moments in between. But as I always say on this show, we have to listen to what's right for us. And right now, I know it's time to pause, reset, and make space for what's next. In this episode, I'm sharing:• Why I'm taking a break—and why pausing is sometimes the most powerful decision.• How stepping away from something can help us grow in new ways—personally, creatively, and professionally.• What's next? I may not have all the answers, but I'm embracing the “we'll see” mindset. Thank You to This Season's Sponsors:I am beyond grateful to the sponsors who made this season possible. Welcome to Episode 38 of Season 1 of That Greenwich Life! This week, I'm taking a moment to reflect on staying grounded, finding balance, and letting go of the hustle—especially when life (or vacation) feels like a whirlwind. This episode is for anyone who feels like they're always going, planning, doing—but struggling to simply be. After an epic February break with my family—first at Beaches Turks & Caicos, then at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida—I realized just how much our nervous systems dictate how we move through life. Whether it's rushing from one resort activity to the next, trying to make the most of every moment, or simply forgetting to pause and breathe, this trip reminded me of the power of presence over planning. I also take a deep dive into a difficult chapter of my life—navigating IVF, loss, and the deep emotional toll of it all. Returning to Universal Studios years later, under completely different circumstances, was a powerful full-circle moment that reminded me how much healing can happen over time.In This Episode:• How an over-scheduled vacation made me realize I was still operating in hustle mode.• The difference between being present and just checking things off a to-do list.• The full-circle moment of returning to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter after one of the hardest seasons of my life.• Navigating IVF, loss, and the unexpected ways healing happens over time.• Why true grounding comes from within—not from the perfect plan, place, or schedule. A big thank-you to the incredible sponsors who make this show possible:• Illume Fertility: A leading fertility and family-building practice offering expert, compassionate care. Welcome to Episode 37 of That Greenwich Life! This week, we're shifting gears and diving into something we all need more of—humor. Because let's be real, life is chaotic, motherhood is exhausting, and the only way to survive it all is to laugh through the madness. Joining me is Megan Schinella, the creator behind one of my favorite Instagram accounts - @meganschinella, where she shares hilarious and oh-so-relatable takes on parenting, social media, and the absurdity of everyday life. Megan's content is the perfect reminder that we don't have to take it all so seriously—and that humor can be one of our greatest tools for getting through tough times. This episode is for anyone who needs a break from the stress, a good laugh, and a reminder that we're all just figuring it out as we go. We talk about everything from raising teens - and their Sephora obsessions - to how social media can be a double-edged sword when it comes to validation and creativity. Megan also shares the incredible story of how Spencer Pratt (yes, Spencer and Heidi from The Hills) ended up collaborating on one of her reels. In This Episode:• Why humor is the best survival tool for motherhood, stress, and everything in between.• The hilarious reality of social media, validation, and dealing with internet trolls.• How embracing imperfection can make life (and parenting) so much more fun. A big shoutout to our amazing sponsors who make this show possible:Room For Paws Pet Resort in Stamford, CT, for taking such great care of our furry family members. In Episode 36 of That Greenwich Life, I'm diving deep with a special guest into reinvention, resilience, and reminiscing about our wild early days of celebrity journalism (think TRL, red carpets, and texting with Kim Kardashian on a Sidekick) My guest, Amy Palmer, (Instagram: @amypalmertv ) is an Emmy-nominated TV host, journalist, and executive producer who has spent years at the forefront of media. From covering celebrity culture to launching Power Women TV and now The Westport Show, Amy knows what it takes to pivot, evolve, and build something entirely new. This episode is for anyone thinking about a fresh start, a career pivot, or simply moving in a new direction in any chapter of your life. We're getting real about the hustle of media entrepreneurship, the importance of trusting your instincts, and why success today looks very different than it did in our 20s. In This Episode:• How Amy and I went from covering pop culture to where we are now• The shift from chasing external validation to building a career that aligns with your values.• The wild, behind-the-scenes stories of early 2000s Hollywood—including a pre-fame Kim Kardashian and Bethenny Frankel.• The evolution of media and why reinvention is essential for staying relevant.• Why today's version of success is all about peace, confidence, and authenticity. January was such an incredible month, and we're kicking off February with a solo episode that dives deep into self-discovery, personal growth, and a more focused mission for this show. I've been thinking a lot about what truly matters—not just for this podcast, but in my own life. Over the past year, I've navigated some big personal revelations, reevaluated what brings me joy, and made a conscious decision to create a space right here that fosters connection, healing, and authenticity. We don't always have to have everything figured out, and I'm working on giving myself permission to keep things messy and always evolving – with a mindset of “we'll see” – and I invite you to do the same. I played around with the show intro to make sure it really captured the essence of the show - and me, your host. I'm not totally there yet but will keep working on it! In this episode:• Reflections on our Five-Part January 2025 Glow-Up Series and how it's setting the tone for the year ahead.• A behind-the-scenes look at why I updated the show's teaser and trailer—what I've learned about myself and how I want this space to evolve.• Why I didn't turn this into a Greenwich gossip show (despite the temptation) and how my past as a celebrity reporter shaped that decision.• The personal struggles that redefined my perspective—from infertility and pregnancy loss to rebuilding a life that truly aligns with who I am.• The transformative power of the phrase “We'll see”—why it can change the way you approach life's challenges and uncertainties.• A beautiful quote from Yung Pueblo that perfectly captures the heart of this podcast and the kind of energy I want to cultivate. This episode is all about stepping into alignment, letting go of what no longer serves us, and embracing the journey—even when we don't have all the answers. This week in Episode 34 of That Greenwich Life, we're wrapping up our 2025 Glow-Up Series with an inspiring conversation about creating spaces that nurture, comfort, and reflect who you are – no matter the size or location of the place you call home. My guest, Andrea “Andi” Sinkin Jaffe, founder of Andrea Sinkin Design, (Also @Andrea_sinkin_design on Instagram) is a Greenwich-based interior designer whose work has been featured by House Beautiful, Martha Stewart, and New England Home.Andi shares her expertise on turning any home—whether it's a sprawling estate or a cozy studio—into a haven that feels both stylish and deeply personal. And she shares a few ways you can make your space feel like a safe space on every budget. We talk about the power of layering in design, why lighting is key to setting the mood, and how even the smallest updates can make a space feel new and alive. We also reflect on the emotional connection we have to our homes and how making intentional design choices can create a true sense of sanctuary, especially during life's most chaotic seasons. In This Episode:• Andi's journey to building a thriving design business—and why she took the nontraditional path.• Why layering is the secret to creating a cozy and inviting space.• How thoughtful lighting choices can transform a room (and why blue light is a no-go for most spaces!).• The importance of incorporating personal pieces, like a family heirloom or vintage rug, into your design.• Practical tips for reimagining your home without breaking the bank. In Part 4 of our New Year Glow-Up Series, we're diving into the intersection of sustainability and style – and how you can combat excess consumerism this new year. But don't worry, you don't have to quit shopping altogether! I would NEVER ask that of you. My special guest, Carly Ridloff, is the founder of The Exchange Project (IG:@the.exchangeproject) and I met her back in December at an amazing event she did in Westport, CT, with my friend and Mindset Coach, Julie Vincent, who you have heard on this show before. Carly's innovative concept is redefining how we think about fashion, community, and sustainability. We discuss the inspiration behind her project, the growing problem of clothing waste, and how her events create opportunities to extend the life of pre-loved clothing while building meaningful connections. In this episode, Carly shares how a simple mindset shift can empower us to make a positive environmental impact without sacrificing style. From boutique-like swaps to high-end consignment, The Exchange Project is proof that eco-conscious living can be chic, accessible, and fun. In This Episode:• The origins of The Exchange Project and how Carly transformed her passion into a movement.• Eye-opening truths about fast fashion, clothing waste, and their environmental impact.• Why swapping clothes can be empowering—and how it builds community.• Simple steps to align your style with sustainability in 2025.• Behind-the-scenes stories of reinvention and finding purpose in unexpected places. Now that the holidays are officially over, it's time to look back on the last few weeks and identify what worked well and what just didn't so next year we don't end up in the same unfulfilling patterns during the precious time of the holiday season. Too many of us KILLED ourselves to keep traditions alive that no longer serve us and our families, AND too many of us engaged in extreme people pleasing at a large cost to our own peace. This week I'm also sharing a listener's moving story about finding gratitude amidst unimaginable loss. It's a reminder that the holiday season is not just about perfection but about connection, healing, and joy in the small moments – and prioritizing your mental health. In this episode:• A sneak peek into my upcoming girls' getaway to the Mirabeau Inn & Spa in Rhinebeck, NY, with my best friend, Alison Seponara.• The joy of incorporating new traditions, like tinsel on the Christmas tree, and rethinking old ones that no longer serve us.• Why it's okay to say “no” to holiday obligations and prioritize your family's unique needs.• Reflections on past holidays, navigating childhood traditions with divorced parents, and how those experiences shape my current holiday approach.• The balance between people-pleasing and preserving your peace—and how to make self-care a priority. Thank You to This Week's Sponsors!A big shoutout to Room For Paws Pet Resort in Stamford, CT, for keeping Bleecker happy and loved during our busiest holiday weeks. In yet another follow-up to the past two episodes about body image, this week I'm joined by Dr. Shieva Ghofrany, an OB-GYN with 25 years of experience and the founder of Tribe Called V. She has shepherded me – and countless other women and families - through some pretty traumatic medical hurdles, and she is talking all things perimenopause with me this week in the studio. She's dishing about hormonal changes, misconceptions about treatments – especially hormone therapy - and how to manage symptoms like weight gain, hot flashes, low libido and mood shifts. You'll never believe how helpful something as simple as Vitamin D3 is – or watching your alcohol, sugar and caffeine intake! There's no one-size-fits-all approach but she definitely shares some action items. Most importantly, we talk about how self-compassion plays a role in these changes. We have to find a middle-ground between making positive changes and accepting the natural aging process. Follow my guest, Dr. Shieva Ghofrany: https://www.drshievag.com and on Instagram @DrShievaG Follow me: www.dorothyontv.com and on Instagram @DorothyOnTV . This week, we're diving into Part Two of our body image conversation. Everyone faces their own struggles, and while they may vary in size, what truly matters is how significant those struggles feel TO YOU. It's not about whether others think your concerns are valid—it's about how YOU perceive and deal with them. I'm sharing more about my postpartum recovery journey, how hormones and perimenopause play a role, and how intermittent fasting helped me when nothing else seemed to work. We need to shift our perspectives and embrace the beauty of our imperfections. • Connect with me: @DorothyOnTV • Shop Merch & More: DorothyOnTV.comThank you to PodPopuli for hosting me in your Greenwich, CT studio and special thanks to this episode's sponsor: Room for Paws Pet Resort—the ultimate home away from home for your fur babies! This Thanksgiving, instead of worrying about our bodies or what we've eaten, let's focus on positivity and gratitude. Yes, there's something about every one of our bodies we wish we could change, but while the world may judge our size or shape – and sometimes we are our own harshest critics -- it's our job to remind ourselves that we are beautiful, blessed, and deserving of self-love.This week, I'm sharing my own postpartum recovery struggles and how I've navigated body changes, negative self-talk, and have learned to embrace this season of life (there is not much exercise happening for me these days). Plus, I talk about how Rent the Runway saved my sanity after my daughter was born, the power of body positivity for our kids, and why it's time we all start being kinder to ourselves. • Follow me: @DorothyOnTV • Shop Merch & More: DorothyOnTV.comThank you to PodPopuli for hosting me in your Greenwich, CT studio and special thanks to this episode's sponsor: Room for Paws Pet Resort—the ultimate home away from home for your fur babies! This week, I'm still reflecting on the post-election mood and no matter which way you voted, we have to find a better way to understand one another, even when we disagree, and we have to find a better way to understand the facts.I'm sharing my go-to resource for staying informed without the drama and false info: Mo News, and I'm joined by Mosheh Oinounou, founder of Mo News and former Emmy, Murrow, and Webby-winning Executive Producer at Fox News, CBS, CNBC and Bloomberg TV. He's one of the smartest guys I know and a personal friend from our days working together at the student newspaper at our alma mater, The George Washington University. As a former journalist, I know how overwhelming news can be, especially when misinformation is everywhere. That's why I'm excited to highlight tools like Mo News that make it easier to get the facts—and why we all need a little more empathy and a lot less noise in our lives. We're also talking about how Greenwich schools are tackling kids' device use and why it matters -- and the new secret weapon for MOM brain – Chat GPT.Don't forget to check out Mo News, follow him on instagram @Mosheh, listen to his daily podcast, subscribe to his exclusive content, including more in-depth interviews and grab some Mo News merch. Being sick sucks. Being really sick – I'm talking “hospital” sick, “can't-figure-out-what's-wrong-and-you-have-to-see-a-million-specialists” sick really sucks. It's an emotional roller coaster whether you are the patient or someone you love is. It can be traumatic – I know it was for me when I went through 4+ years of pregnancy loss, miscarriage, and failed IVF – and navigating the healthcare system (and being made to feel like a number instead of a human being) was its own secondary trauma for me and so many others. But my dear friend, Dr. Tracy Shevell, M.D., is changing that for people – with a focus on women – and helping them navigate the most complex health mysteries while at the same time empowering them throughout their journeys. She joined me in Podpopuli's Greenwich CT studio on the most recent episode of That Greenwich Life, and shared an action plan for when -- not if – a health crisis strikes. Follow her on Instagram @tracyshevellmd where she hosts regular “office hours” or find out more about her personalized offerings at her website: www.tracyshevellmd.com She shepherded me through a very confusing medical crisis – a riddle, really with no answer - and for all her clients, she is part therapist, part doctor, all friend. I'm forever grateful to her, and so glad now she is helping so many others. It took 15 episodes of That Greenwich Life for our host Dorothy Cascerceri Simone to break … really break. This week, she proves that grief enters the chat when we least expect it, and if you've endured loss, heartache or heartbreak of any kind, this episode is for you. It's personal. It's emotional. Recently I have decided that it was important to grow the audience of this podcast and thanks to PodPopuli Podcast Studio, we met Kelli Brink, Director of Podcast Growth Strategy. It was nice to meet her in person, live on the Real Estate Finder Podcast. We talk about social media, and how she came to be the Producer of this the Real Estate Finder Podcast. And of course we talk about Real Estate. Remember that home we staged that I believe received a premium in the price because we staged it with Big Style Staging (what Episode was that)? Well, the Buyer walked AFTER the staged furniture was removed. UGH, listed it again and found a new Buyer, without the premium. Still, it was a good flip. Who is next? Episode 91 Episode 91 is an opportunity to, again, highlight the entrepreneurial spirit of many within our community. Often this has resulted in residents establishing what I like to call, "home grown nonprofit agencies." We have, and will continue to, shine the spotlight on these endeavors. However, today's guests have turned their "entrepreneurial spirit" into businesses generating jobs and income while meeting a need. My first guest is Brian Howie. Thanks to Brian we have this platform to present our podcasts. Podpopuli is a growing network of studios, throughout the US, dedicated to offering an infrastructure and technical expertise to communicate. We appreciate his support and friendship and as we approach our 100th episode, we recognize without Podpopuli we wouldn't be connected. Our second guests "Lady" Ashley Bacon and her husband, John, have taken party planning to the next level. They help make memories out of significant milestones. Be it a birthday, engagement, graduation or whatever, Ashley and John create and design beautiful and fun parties. Listen to how these individuals are making our community a fun place to live, work, learn, play and celebrate.
There's really only one constructive course of action when messing up at work – to own your part in whatever happened. Brian Howie is the founder of podcast recording studio "Podpopuli” and host of the podcast "The Great Love Debate". He joins podcast host Jaclyn Beck in a conversation about the power of owning your mistakes and vulnerabilities and how to use them as a source of personal growth along your professional journey.Connect with Jaclyn Beck on LinkedIn, follow along on Instagram @jaclynbeckconsulting and check out Jaclyn Beck Consulting for strategic advisory and/or executive coaching inquiries.

We are having a Pod-A-Thon!!!! Our recording studio, Podpopuli (podcasts for the people!!!) is having a 24 hour Pod-A-Thon to raise money and awareness for Give Kids the World Village. A resort in Orlando that hosts critically ill children and makes their dreams come true. Luckily this Podcast was given an afternoon time slot, I feel bad for whoever took the 3AM slot!!! On to business!!!! Team Awesome is here!!! Matthew Maschler, Jill Glanzer and Staci Garcia are joined by Real Estate Attorney Gregory Gefen of Signature Title Group and the Gefen Werber Law Group. Greg is a friend, neighbor and a GREAT attorney. There is a certain amount of “mystery" surrounding what services are actually performed to prepare for a closing. Greg walks us through the contract, from executed offer to a successful closing. Some of the most common mistakes seen by Greg are real estate agents using the terminology “On or before” for the closing date. This comes from other states and is not a term used in Florida. In Florida Buyers and Sellers do not need an attorney to read the contract, but it is a good idea to have an attorney available for the title process because no two deals are ever the same. Listen in as Greg explains the process and gives us the attorney's advice on how to properly prepare an offer. If you're looking for a real estate attorney or need an expert closing agency or escrow agent, we highly recommend contacting Greg Gefen and his team at Signature Title Group or Gefen Werber ww.signaturetitlegroup.com Have an idea for a podcast? www.podpopuli.com You can do episodes like we do here OR there is an option for a “biography" type of session perfect for a parent or grandparent. Meet Mark Sturman, a multi-unit franchisee, and an owner of the Podpopuli franchise. How did he really get into the podcast business? What did the influential women in his life have to say? Listen to some heartfelt messaging, laughs, and our love for gospel funerals.
On this episode, we welcome Brian Howie. He is the host of The Great Love Debate Podcast, Founder of Podpopuli, Podcast Producer, and an entrepreneur. Join us as Brian gives an interesting perspective on dating divorced moms, from a non-husband, non-parent, bachelor point of view. We also discuss dating and podcast life. Listen in as we dive deep into topics important to women and moms. In particular, wanting to be heard, communication, and "Esteem Boosters" Tune in and don't miss this!!
In this episode, Mark Sturman, serial entrepreneur and multi-unit franchise owner shares his story of success in transitioning from life as a lawyer to investing in multiple franchise brands and becoming a serial entrepreneur. Mark has owned five Massage Envy's in south Florida, a European Wax franchise, and an Amazing Lash franchise studio. So how does a lawyer come to invest in all health and beauty brands without any experience? Well, you'll have to listen in to find out. Not only that, but Mark gives us a "sneak peek" into a new franchise brand that he has invested in to help bring to market yet this year in 2022 called "Podpopuli." When I asked Mark about this new venture, he responded, "I literally got chills when you asked me it." Podpopuli just happens to be where I record my podcasts, so this was an easy discussion having experience with the brand here in Palm Beach County and knowing what a fantastic investment opportunity this will become for investors nationwide here soon. One of my favorite quotes from Mark when asking him about the risks he's taken in each of his investments and how he potentially overcame any fear is "Everything we do in life is a game. Including doing nothing. If you have any kind of entrepreneurial spirit, you need to test the market." If you are interested in learning more about Podpopuli or any other franchise concepts, reach out to us at stacie@fusionfranchising.com, and we will be in touch! Please give us a follow on Instagram @fusionfranchising for future episodes. https://www.instagram.com/fusionfranchising/?igshid=NmNmNjAwNzg%3D And if you liked this episode, please give us a 5-star rating wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts!
Episode 49 is a chance to kick back and just talk about the state of affairs in Palm Beach County with our producer, Brian Howie. Brian came to our county a little over a year ago with the idea of creating studios for people (like me) who had an idea for a podcast, and opened his third PodPopuli location right here in Boca. It remains for you to decide if I made the right decision to jump into this medium having, heretofore, used the likes of Facebook and other social media platforms to get my message out. This episode is a departure from the previous 4 dozen since it's pretty much a conversation between two friends who enjoy what Palm Beach County has to offer. So sit back and listen to our perspectives on our community!
Guest Janine Stella, Studio Director of Podpopuli jumps in and gives her two cents on the conversation about hormones, birth control, antidepressants, and dirty jokes. We also discuss female challenges that all women and daughters can relate to...Oh...and what men shouldn't say.
On this episode of Breakfast with the Broker, we welcome a fellow podcaster. She is the Host of Skulls and Stilettos Podcast, The Studio Director of Podpopuli in Boca Raton, and a lover of all things martial arts. We discuss the similarities between real estate and professional fighting. How branding as a realtor and as a fighter go hand in hand when it comes to standing out in any business. Listen in as Janine offers her unique perspective and we talk candidly about the fight game, real estate, and confidence in any profession. Our GDPR privacy policy was updated on August 8, 2022. In light of some recent HR changes on another pod, Shimmy's crazy busy schedule, and Irish Barry seeking out the best Gin Mickey at Disneyworld, only the Professor and Joe show Joe Turner talks with the Professor about golfing, life, and whether you take bourbon out on the links. Before bourbon was a thing, the original Proofers were heatin' up the copper and making their own shine to share and love. The Professor brings in an "alleged" bottle of illegal applie pie shine for Shimmy, Joe, Irish Barry, Detective Andy to enjoy while talking about the history of moonshining and today's attempts at legit "White Lightning." We stand by our motto when we say the true proof of spirits are the people who enjoy them, even if they are Seltzers. While there may be No Law with the Claw, the Professor, Shimmy, Joe Turner, Irish Barry White try to figure out whether there's any respect in them either. From the latest carb-conscious crazes such as High Noon and White Claw, to the sugar-laden fruity goodness of Smooj, the guys try out some varieties, get into the Seltzer craze, and tie them to more traditional cocktails like the bourbon highball.
