Send us a textS5-E37, Imagine biting into a fresh pumpkin while sipping on a pumpkin pie automail—sounds intriguing, right? This episode launches with a spirited pumpkin beer tasting session featuring some of the most unique autumnal brews from Royal Bliss Brewing Company and Brew Dog. We savor the earthy bitterness of pumpkin ales and the tropical storm of IPAs, and share our lively chat about Royal Bliss's vibrant atmosphere in Denver, North Carolina, where concerts and eclectic brews await. Amidst jokes about pairing peach body fruited wheat beer with bath salts, we can't help but spotlight their award-winning beer lineup and tease a tantalizing tasting adventure. But not all is smooth sailing, as a Southern storm disrupts our plans to attend an Appalachian State game, sparking reflections on the resilience and generosity found in North Carolina. We share stories of ticket refunds, kindness, and the quirky challenges of event logistics, like parking in strip malls. Our adventure through the stormy aftermath is lightened with laughter, discussing odd travel plans and the unpredictable weather. Anticipation builds for Bliss-tober Fest, where we look forward to more beer tastings and perhaps a new golf escapade amidst the chaos of recovering from nature's whims.Craft beer lovers will enjoy our candid tasting session, as we weigh the merits of pumpkin ales against peach-flavored wheat beers. The surprise bitter notes of chocolate pumpkin flavors earn mixed reviews, while the peach beer's authenticity makes it a crowd favorite. We also delve into the art of beer selection at local breweries, from industrial aesthetics to the perfect appetizer pairing. Wrapping up, we touch on societal norms, public intervention dilemmas, and the humorous missteps of navigating the world of craft beer, all while sending heartfelt gratitude and support to our listeners. Stay connected, stay safe, and join us for this merry brew-filled journey!Support the showwww.anotherreasontodrink.com

Before Brian heads outta town for a couple of weeks, we wrapped things up with a new list of things to look forward to in the month of June. The big news this morning was about Trump being found guilty. We also recapped the NBA & NHL playoff action, and talked about Da Bears being on "Hard Knocks" this summer during training camp. Let you know what's in theaters this weekend, and Brian got a few tips from Jean on things to do in Rockford, IL…as Brian makes a stop there tomorrow night to see Royal Bliss & the Lonely Ones! State Track is in town this weekend, so it'll be VERY busy downtown. Had a great story about a bus driver who's retiring after SEVENTY years of driving bus. Also talked about Stef Curry's post-NBA plans. Doc joined us to talk racing, and during today's "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about the naked BumbleBee statue guy from a few days ago, a guy who set a house on fire and killed an innocent family of five, a #FloridaMan who set himself on fire inside of a grocery store, a mom who tried to sell her daughter for $20, a guy who hid in the attic of a Red Roof Inn after he robbed a Waffle House, a lawsuit against Madonna for being too sexual during her shows, a woman who killed her common-law husband to try & get an inheritance that didn't exist, a woman at a grocery store that only wanted a half a carrot, and a Russian grocery store that had people licking eggs for some reason. Red and Jerry talk with Royal Bliss vocalist Neal Middleton about their upcoming album "Survival" and upcoming shows in Wisconsin.
Neal Middleton of Royal Bliss talks their latest album "Survival", Not letting 2020 break them. The Black Rhino bike, wet pants and Bigfoot. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Royal Bliss current single Black Rhino was written during lockdown. According to their vocalist Neal Middleton, "originally it was a song written about survival for a rock band." As time moved forward and the lockdown continued, they changed up the lyrics "to be about a survival of the people, where it's like we're gonna make it through this pandemic."
Neal Middleton is our guest on the podcast series, A Close Call With Death, and Neal comes to us from an intro from my daughter Adrienne who sends me some of the most amazing touching stories on the planet. Adrienne knows Neal and his wife who he talks about very lovingly in the interview. Adrienne said "You have to talk with Neal! He has a close call with death and his life is incredible!" I connected with Neal and between performances he came and sat down with me to share his story. I was so touched buy his incredible caring soul and kindness plus an unreal raspy baritone voice that I could listen to for hours. Neal is a long time member of a successful band called @Royal Bliss. They have reached the top of the music charts with their albums and have toured with the likes of greats like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Buckcherry, Candlebox, Kid Rock, Brett Michaels and others. Mixed in with Neals success has been trauma and tragedy. We are very lucky to have him here to tell and sing his story. I will for ever be inspired and moved by his spirit and story. Thank you Neal for being on our show! Session sponsored by @Rustico fine leather. Every guest is given a leather bracelet that has a scripture on it that indicates The Worth of Souls is Great In the Sight of God. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/bob-howard9/message

WISCONSIN MUSIC PODCAST AMPLIFYING WISCONSIN MUSIC Episode 86 MotherWind Hidden deep along the river bends of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, you'll find Motherwind. Forming in August of 2020, the quartet—Anthony Frey (vocals, guitar), Nate Rogers (lead guitar), Michael Hargens (bass), Jackson Kleingartner (drums)—has already taken lengthy strides in revealing their primal artistry to the masses, despite their formation amid the coronavirus pandemic. The group originally began writing songs under the name “The Color Scene” at a horse sanctuary owned by a mutual friend. Since then, the band has branded themselves under the new name with an electrifying live show in their arsenal. The young group's 70s-bred roots and alt-groove sound has left the floors of rock clubs and bars tremoring, and the concoction of psychedelic riffs and hair-raising chord progressions leaves their audiences stirred. Motherwind has shared the stage with the likes of Crobot, The Black Moods, Royal Bliss and P.O.D., and the band is consistently invited back to venues. With a heavy tour schedule during the summer of 2021, the young group has already shown efficacy in creating a blazing reputation within the up-and-coming rock scene. Current focuses of the band include constructing their own recording studio above a weight training facility, releasing their breakthrough EP, maintaining a consistent touring schedule and of course finding new and exciting ways to bring people together with their tasty brand of alt-rock. The Loyal Order first hatched as a studio project several years ago when Jeff Buehner was approached to write a theme song for a regional outdoor hunting reality show. He reached out to guitarist Brandon Cook for a heavy riff, and the result was a song called Off the Grid (Superhuman). It aired regionally in the Pacific NW for two seasons. A bass player by trade, singing is a new beginning for Jeff. The songs were originally crafted with a different singer in mind, but after laying scratch tracks for the first few songs, the producer (Kevin Hahn) convinced him to lay the final tracks himself. From this songwriting partnership between Buehner and Cook, the songs began to flow. They soon approached Producer Rob Daiker at The Commune in Portland, Oregon, who has crafted major label releases with Slowrush, The Dan Reed Network, and Royal Bliss. Ready For Dead was released March 1, 2019 as a single and music video (Bühner Media/Von Artists/The Orchard) and rang up 50,000 Facebook views in it’s first six weeks and now sits with over 1,000,000 views. With the expertise of Thom Haezart (EMP Label Group), the single found a home in Billboard Mainstream Rock’s Top 40, and Foundation’s Top 50. Rounding out the band is Justin Gibson on guitar, Patrick Young on bass, and Kyle Baltus on the drums. All prominent Pacific NW rock players that have made names for themselves locally and nationally. The Loyal Order’s debut show was with Puddle of Mud to a sold out audience at The Bossa Nova Ballroom on September 27, 2019. Buehner and Cook have been featured in magazines such as Sleazerock, The Decibel Report, Metal Talk, KNAC, The Hard Heavy and Hair Show, Bionic Buzz and others.

The power of the monolith compelled me to have Utah's own Royal Bliss on the show. Although it didn't take much convincing as they are old friends, plus they currently have another top 20 single. That song is of course called "Medication" and the did it with former Sick Puppy, Shim. It was time to catch up with Neil and Taylor from Royal Bliss.

In this very entertaining and educational Episode, the Brewmasters of Lincoln County, Dan Ackerman (Lake Norman Brewery), Chris Wertman (Royal Bliss Brewing), and John Brinsfield & Fritz Steckler (Brick Tree Brewing) join Mike Bagwell to talk about all-things Beer. As a follow-up to our initial Lake Leads West Side Podcast recorded conversations with the owners of Royal Bliss, Brick Tree Brewing, and Lake Norman Brewery, in this extended episode, our Lincoln County Brewmasters talk about their background and experience, dive a little deeper into the science of making beer, and review the costs associated with start-up home-brew kits and compare them to their current systems. In addition, Chris, John, Fritz, and Dan shared information about what they have learned since the opening day of their breweries, how they chose their Opening Day beer flavors, and what is involved in choosing the right beers to brew throughout the year. And lastly, John, Fritz, Dan, and Chris give some great advice to those interested in crafting their own beer and discuss future trends of the Craft Beer Industry. We had the pleasure of interviewing Royal Bliss over Zoom! The name alone would define how this iconic American rock band is going strong for more than two decades now. Royal Bliss originated in Salt Lake City in Utah in the year of 1997. As of today, they have released ten full studio albums signed with their label, Capitol Records. Since they were once a local band in Utah, they play in different venues across the state selling out most of their tickets. From being just a native band, they have done gigs in different neighboring states too such as Wyoming, Washington, California, Idaho, Iowa, Nevada, Texas, and Oregon. It was in 2002 when Royal Bliss made a breakthrough gig at the Key Club located in Hollywood playing a sold-out performance. Their success is a collaborative effort of the group composed of Neal Middleton, Taylor Richards, Jake Smith, Dwayne Crawford, and Sean Hennesy. Years later, they signed with the Capitol Music Group led by its CEO, Jason Flom. The year 2007 was their peak wherein they signed with the record label and at the same time, in the process of recording a new CD in Oregon produced and wrapped by Rob Daiker and was engineered by Matt Winegar. Their genre is the hype of the early 2000s which is post-grunge, country rock, hard rock, and southern rock. This band of five proves that their success did not just depend on the use of different internet platforms. They remain traditional and classic.https://www.facebook.com/royalbliss/http://www.royalbliss.com/We want to hear from you! The Loyal Order first hatched as a studio project several years ago in Portland, when Jeff Buehner was approached to write a theme song for a regional outdoor hunting reality show. He reached out to guitarist Brandon Cook for a heavy riff, and the result was a song called Off the Grid (Superhuman). It aired regionally in the Pacific NW for two seasons. A bassist by trade, singing is a new beginning for Jeff. The songs were originally crafted with a different vocalist in mind, but after laying scratch tracks for the first few songs, the producer convinced him to lay the final tracks himself. From this songwriting partnership between Buehner and Cook, the songs began to flow. They soon approached Producer Rob Daiker at The Commune in Portland, Oregon, who has crafted major label releases with Slowrush, The Dan Reed Network, and Royal Bliss. Ready For Dead was originally released independently in 2019 as a single and music video (Bühner Media/Von Artists/The Orchard) and rang up 50,000 Facebook views in it’s first six weeks and now sits with over 200,000 views. With the expertise of Thom Hazaert (EMP Label Group), the band is now positioned to hit the airwaves and tour nationally, re-releasing the single to radio. The Loyal Order’s debut show was with Puddle of Mudd to a sellout crowd at Portland's Bossa Nova Ballroom. Buehner and Cook have been featured in magazines such as Sleazerock, The Decibel Report, Metal Talk, KNAC, The Hard Heavy and Hair Show, Bionic Buzz and others.

An amazing story of perserverence in episode 102 of the DOMKcast. Neal Middleton is the lead vocalist of the band Royal Bliss and he has overcome many obstacles in his career. Fell from a building 35 feet in the air and was paralyzed from the waist down. That didn't stop Neal from quiting the band. He taught himself how to walk all over again-convincing his bandmates to weight while he got back into shape and ready to get back out on the road. They're new song "Pain" deals overcoming that resonating negative voice inside your head that controls you at times throughout your life. Hear the full song at the end of the episode. Neal tried out for The Voice years ago and talked about his experience which wasn't exactly positive by any stretch of the imagination. Royal Bliss is out of Salt Lake City and has been around for years. At one point was deemed the unluckiest band in rock. You can look at it more on the "glass is full" side of things and say that it's remarkable how much resiliance they've shown over their career. This episode starts off with a new song from Royal Bliss, and a new song from Sturgill Simpson. Shanon and Mark discuss Silver Bullet this time around. They give some props to Gary Busey, and show some love for Megan Follows. Of course they talk about the movie as well. They do their best to not give the entire movie away. Listening to these two talk about this one you can tell they really like Silver Bullet. The conversation turns to Jason Voorhees for a bit before turning to the differences between vampires and werewolves. They leave the discussion with a pretty big question mark. Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band closes us out.

This episode starts off with a short tribute to the horror legend Wes Craven. Then we get stuff started off with a brand new song from The Butcher Babies. That is followed up by the latest from Royal Bliss. The guys discuss the movie they picked up at Flashback Weekend to review, The Deadly Spawn. They give it a raving review while ripping it apart at the same time. Be sure to pay attention since there is another give away this episode. Then it closes out with the latest from Bobaflex.
Another episode means another Canadian horror movie. The guys delve into WolfCop during this episode. As usual they give pretty much the whole movie away, but it wouldn't be the same if they didn't. Similar to the last episode they stay pretty on track. The show opens with music from Ozzy, and Hellbound Glory. Then closes with a song from Royal Bliss.
In this episode of Bauman's Breakdown, Bauman chats with Bobaflex guitarist & vocalist Marty McCoy. The two discuss the band's latest album "Charlatan's Web," touring, being on the road with close friends Royal Bliss, and finding success as a band despite a lack of overall support from the music industry. Also, Matthew McConaughey makes a comeback on the show (Er, Bauman doing McConaughey), while producer Mike Jameson gets nostalgic on his Pandora playlist and wanders off into a myriad of jams from his mullet rocking, acid wash wearing, DJ spinning glory days of the early 1980s.
