It is a privilege to welcome online transformation coach and Reality TV star Jenny West to The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast.  Jenny was first introduced to international audiences when she debuted on ITV's Survival of the Fittest's inaugural season. The show focused on young men and women who traveled to a South African savanna and competed in physical and mental challenges against each other.  The show stood out because the contestants had to go on dates with their rival teammates, which were designed to test loyalties and group strength. Like Love Island UK, the winners won a cash prize at the end of the show, and along the way, the viewers decided who stayed and were sent home.  In 2019, Jenny West debuted on MTV's long-running Reality TV series, The Challenge. Her debut season, The Challenge: War of the Worlds 2, saw her join Team UK, which contained a diverse group of rookies including Nicole Bass, Sean Lineker, and Tula "Big T" Fazakerley, established UK veterans Georgia Harrison, Joss Mooney, Kayleigh Morris, Kyle Christie, Rogan O'Connor, Stephen Bear, and Theo Campbell, and reinforcements CT Tamburello and Dee Nguyen. During her time on Team UK, Jenny was sent into elimination twice. While she won the "Trapped" elimination against fellow rookie Nicole Bass, show veteran Tori Deal defeated her in the Hall Brawl elimination.  In 2020, Jenny returned to compete on The Challenge: Total Madness. She won four daily challenges and eliminated Jenn Lee and War of the Worlds 2 champion Dee Nguyen in the Flip the Switch and Hall Brawl eliminations. Eventually, she made her first final and won the season.  Currently, Jenny West returned to The Challenge: Battle of the Eras to compete on the Era Four team alongside some of her generation's heavy hitters, including Theo, Kaycee Clark, Kyland Young, Horacio Gutiérrez, Nurys Mateo, and longtime Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar friend Paulie Calafiore.  When she is not on Reality TV, Jenny is working on her online fitness program Future Proof Fitness (FPF). FPF helps women over 30 unleash s- hot transformations. Using the company's app, her clients can find ways to lose body fat, tone up, and crush their goals.  On this special edition of The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Jenny West spoke about her passion for fitness, crossing the finish line on The Challenge: Total Madness, and returning to the show to compete on The Challenge: Battle of the Eras.Let's connect on social media! Hello Stephanie, I am new to the industry and I am trying to find a travel host. If I am geared towards making money and want to make this a full-time job, would it be better to choose a host agency that offers leads? Would that make a difference? —Nina C. 2. If I am signing a contract with a host agency, am I required to provide my SSN along with my driver's license? I am not very comfortable providing that information but would like to know if the host agency needs that information prior to the training and hiring? ---Hemangi S. 3. Hi! I was reading your article on travel expenses travel agents can write off. What about writing off a cruise where you are escorting a group and while onboard you meet with them daily to answer questions, "herd cats" and also to organize and host group events both on the ship and at the ports? Sometimes a spouse goes along, sometimes just the TA. Typical Caribbean cruise, so not American-flagged (that pretty much limits it to Pride of America and American Cruise Line river cruises). –Mary S. Suffice to say that a lot has changed for Jenn since the summer of 2022. She explains how the book tour for "I Spoke to You with Silence" kicked off a chain of events, and shares how her love for her children has only deepened now that she is finally living as her whole self ("I have been able to love them so much more since feeling right in my own body and skin"). Taipei based fashion designer Jenn Lee is preparing her Spring Summer 2024 collection for London and Taipei Fashion Weeks. Inspired by the recycled materials she finds in local markets, by British designer Vivienne Westwood and the Punk movement, as well as the joy of her young son, the collection celebrates freedom, happiness and sustainability. Jenn is joined in her Taipei studio by Lucy Collingwood as she reaches the final stages of a collection that's been many months in the making. Surrounded by sewing machines and a snooker table repurposed into a large fabric cutting table. Jenn shares her influences and attention to detail – from the running order of her catwalk show, finalising the looks on mannequins, to adding handmade accessories made of recycled zips and ribbons and choosing which eye catching creation should kick start the show. Jenn takes us to one of the places that informs her work, the Fu He Bridge Flea Market, where items from used bicycle chains to second hand motorbike jackets can end up as integral parts of her high end garments. For the catwalks of fashion weeks, Jenn is also planning something a little unusual. As well as her striking garments made in bold colours and hand-dyed fabrics, she's also creating a digital version of her designs and collaborating on a game featuring characters who embody the themes behind her show. We share Jenn's creative journey from Taipei to backstage at her London Fashion Week catwalk show as the audience reacts as her collection is finally revealed. Hey Fandom! Welcome back for another episode of Trash Talk Roundtable with your Challenge Fandom Podcast hosts Rick, Corrina and Tony. This week we got together to talk all things Challenge 39: Battle For A New Champion and break down EP 0 and EP1. We kick off per usual by discussing the title and rating the foreshadowing of this particular episode. After that we do a quick rundown of EP00, discuss our thoughts on having an episode zero, how we feel about production keeping the fans in the dark about certain aspects of the game, break down the format, debate whether or not we like the idea of a single winner with "something" for second and third place, the option to earn more money throughout the season, the fact we are seeing the entire cast play as one instead of against each other and where is the "something" for second and third place really coming from?! Next we break down how we feel about having mercenaries on this particular season, Cierran being elected as leader, whether or not Berna was loud enough at the daily, what the cast should have done as far as the puzzle goes and how in the heck did Jay and Cierran actually make it out of the pit?! (0:00 - 42:00) In the second part of this episode, we break down Big T's alliance, who we would have been voting for based upon the edit, how production mislead us with the edit nearly the entire episode and who's speech was worse, Jessica or Jenn Lee? We also break down the voting process, how we feel about the man in the sand getting to call out an opponent of their choosing, whether or not you should EVER vote for yourself especially publicly, MVP's for the episode and how are we feeling about the possibilities for this season? (42:00 - END). All this and more on this episode of Challenge Fandom Podcast Trash Talk Roundtable. We hope you all enjoy this episode and don't forget we're on YouTube with full video now! Kerry Spencer Pray and Jenn Lee Smith met in Affirmation, an organization for LGBTQIA+ Mormons. Kerry had just realized that she was queer; Jenn had been out for longer, but as an Asian-American, she was struggling with the overwhelming whiteness (not to mention maleness) of the only available queer Mormon spaces. Jenn and Kerry clicked immediately as friends, and Jenn pitched the idea for what would eventually become "I Spoke to You with Silence: Essays from Queer Mormons of Marginalized Genders" (which just sold out during its first week on Amazon!). Kerry and Jenn share the different trajectories their lives have taken since coming out, and we discuss the beauty and freedom of unconventional relationship structures. Plus, Lauren does a live reading of an essay from the book THAT SHE HERSELF IS FEATURED IN! Umm...#FOUNDLAUREN?!Follow Kerry on Twitter at @swilua and on Instagram at @swilua_, and keep up with Jenn on Instagram via @bewilderfilm (or connect with her on Facebook)!
