Defining Duke: An Xbox Podcast

Well, we were ready to have a very positive episode, but here we are! Xbox has gone all the way ahead of most of the competition and confirmed the following. Console and accessories prices are jumping immediately. Xbox game prices will reach $80 by the end of the year. In a world where the first party is mostly producing divisive titles sitting in the ~80 open critic range, you have to imagine Xbox's financial situation can't be in a brilliant stop to step on a rake ahead of its competition. Yet, that's where things get even more interesting. Xbox's Q3 2025 results saw them at the industry's top publisher while also being the leader in games sold on PlayStation with at least four of their titles in the top 10. Xbox wants their money and the Dukes have plenty of thoughts on this. Is this going to push even more people into Game Pass? Will this give birth to a free tier of Game Pass? What of Cloud Streaming's growth when consoles are becoming extremely pricey. Meanwhile, it's already May and it feels as if we have enough fantastic games to begin our voting on Game Of The Year! Expedition 33 is the talk of the town alongside Oblivion and rightfully so, but it's fascinating just how many incredible experiences surround them. Unlikely heroes in Last Defense Academy, sleeper indie hits in Towerborne, and much more are around every corner. Who has time for all of this? Hell if we know, but we're just happy to be on the ride 2025 is taking us on.Please keep in mind that our timestamps are approximate, and will often be slightly off due to dynamic ad placement.0:00:00 - Intro0:06:28 - Health Is Wealth0:36:44 - Oblivion reaches 4 million players0:41:49 - Expedition 33 has sold 1 million copies0:56:38 - People Can Fly's Project Maverick revealed1:02:58 - Borderlands 4 gets new release date1:08:47 - Wuchang Fallen Feather launches on July 24th, 20251:10:56 - Robocop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business launches on July 17th, 20251:12:37 - FBC: Firebreak launches on June 17th, 20251:16:41 - Tainted Grail: Fall Of Avalon leaves early access on May 23rd1:19:53 - Baldur's Gate 3 director on AI1:29:16 - TMNT Splintered Fate is coming to Xbox and PlayStation1:37:31 - Kevin Eastman on the TMNT Last Ronin video game1:41:19 - Capcom teases Resident Evil 91:44:18 - Splinter Cell: Blacklist randomly gets Steam achievements1:47:50 - Elden Ring passes 30 million sales1:50:11 - Microsoft Q3 Results1:57:06 - Expedition 332:34:24 - Marathon2:54:19 - Oblivion Remaster3:16:26 - Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy3:22:29 - Xbox price increase4:04:00 - Respawn suffers more layoffs and cancellations4:19:08 - Game Pass Pick Of The Week Learn more about your ad choices. Title: Exploring the Legacy of the Splinter Cell Game Series Guest: None Description: In this episode of West Virginia Uncommon Place, host Jr explores the significance and legacy of the Splinter Cell video game series developed and published by Ubisoft. The Splinter Cell series is a franchise of stealth-based video games that revolutionized the stealth genre with its innovative gameplay, story, and advanced graphics. The first game in the series, Splinter Cell, was released in 2002 for the Xbox and PC, and it followed the story of Sam Fisher, a special agent from the third Echelon agency. Jr talks about the success of the first game, which led to the development of several sequels, including Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, Splinter Cell Double Agent, and Splinter Cell Conviction. He also highlights Splinter Cell Chaos Theory as the best game in the series due to its advanced artificial intelligence for enemies, making them more challenging and unpredictable. Jr shares his disappointment with Ubisoft's decision to discontinue the Splinter Cell series after the release of Splinter Cell Blacklist in 2013, despite the series being significant in the gaming industry. He expresses his love for the player choice aspect of the game, allowing players to approach each mission in their own way, whether stealthy or gun blazing. Overall, Jr emphasizes the significance of the Splinter Cell series, which popularized the use of gadgets and weapons and introduced the concept of hiding in shadows, inspiring other games such as Metal Gear Solid and Hitman.

This video is an update to the video I did a few days ago called ghost in the machine video. I shared the story of the youtube user called Ghost in the Machine. And since then he posted an update about his situation. He no longer lives like Tyler Durden from fight club instead he's opted back into society to some extent and he has some advice for newly minted men going their own way. So now I'm going to read to you what Ghost in the Machine has to say, here goes: "Hi Sandman, when I was leaving my old politically correct life behind in the 1980s, and learning my new Ghosting/MGTOW lifestyle. There were certainly no friends supporting me back then, and little information on the subject. I was on my own. The movie, 'Fight Club', reflects best my mental state and life style at that time, Second, I noticed that some of you confused Ghosting and MGTOW. In its simplest terms, MGTOW means walking away from women, where Ghosting means walking away from society. Ghosting: Some men live in the country and grow their own food, raise their own livestock and use solar panels for electricity. Some also use satellites for internet connections. They are cutting themselves off from society and ghosting in their own way. And, some are married. With regards to MGTOW, some MGTOWs date, but they never ever consider getting married. Some MGTOWs don't want to have anything to do with women at all. MGTOW is not Ghosting. Ghosting is not MGTOW. But, they do have a common thread which is being the social lepers of society, and often men are both MGTOW and Ghosts. And finally, I am still Ghosting today (and MGTOW), but living in a more comfortable manner. I live in a 1983 travel trailer and I drive a 1991 Ford ranger. I purposely choose to live in a travel trailer instead of a home because you might have to move quickly to a new location if society goes to hell. I do have an internet connection. I still believe in a ‘cash only' life style. If I want something, I save up for it and buy it. I never borrow money from banks or on credit cards. I do have one credit card in my name that I needed for the internet, and I pay it off completely each month. I still cook my own meals and avoid eating out. I still don't vote, but I do watch the news. I watch the news not because I care, but because I find it entertaining. I own a home business (a second travel trailer) and I walk 20 steps to work each day (when I decide to get up that is). I made myself a promise back in the 80s that I would never get married again even if I did fall in love with a woman. Well, I did fall in love, and I did get rid of her, fast, staying true to my Ghosting/MGTOW way of life. I was MGTOW long before most of you and am still that way today. The word 'marriage' has not been in my vocabulary since the 80s, it's just a slang term I use now for describing something stupid and nasty. My ‘Walden Pond' days in the 80s, living in that old house, were my ‘basic training' days for my future life. That period of my life was also my rebellion against living a politically correct life, and my rebellion against getting married and reentering society. I know how to Ghost now. I still adhere to most of the Ghosting principles I learned years ago. I would recommend a few years of hardcore Ghosting to anyone for training purposes. And yes, I do have electricity, but I am installing solar panels next year. And, I do play video games. I'm enjoying Splinter Cell Blacklist at the moment. The Strange & Curious Tale of the Last True Hermithttp://www.gq.com/news-politics/newsm...North Pond Hermithttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDd_0...Christopher Knight, Maine Hermit, Attracts Wedding Proposal: Authoritieshttp://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04...The Littlest Hobohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgGKS...Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/mgtow/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Ubisoft has announced that it has greenlit the development of a remake of its stealth classic, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell. Announced on Ubisoft's website, the remake will be developed by lead studio Ubisoft Toronto, the developers of Splinter Cell: Blacklist. It will be built from the ground up using the Snowdrop engine, which is the tech being used for The Division games, the upcoming Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora game, and Ubisoft's as-yet-untitled Star Wars game. STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl developer GSC Game World has announced that its upcoming sequel will be supported by a range of linked NFTs when it launches in 2022. While details surrounding the majority of these have yet to be shared yet, the studio has revealed information about one specific NFT which will come will allow the owner to become the "first-ever metahuman", AKA an NPC in the game. GSC Game World has announced the STALKER Metaverse will use blockchain technology to let the community own a piece of STALKER 2. Guy Beahm, known online as Dr Disrespect, is launching a new AAA studio called Midnight Society. Working alongside former Call of Duty and Halo developers, the new studio is taking a "community approach to game development" that plans to involve players and influencers at all stages of development. In a press release, we learned that Beahm co-founded the studio with industry veterans Robert "fourzerotwo" Bowling and Quinn DelHoyo, along with support from esports entrepreneur Sumit Gupta. The studio is still starting up, as they are currently hiring for many positions. Narz has all that in your Daily Fix!

Rumor: Ubisoft Greenlit a New Splinter Cell Game? - IGN Daily Fix

On today's IGN The Fix: Games, Ubisoft has reportedly greenlit development of a new, mainline Splinter Cell game. If the rumor proves true, it will be the first core entry in the Tom Clancy stealth series since 2013's Splinter Cell: Blacklist. A report from VGC claims multiple "development sources" have revealed that a new Splinter Cell is in an early phase of production, with a small chance of the game being announced in 2022. The project has apparently been greenlit as part of an effort to appease frustrated Tom Clancy and Splinter Cell fans, who have been less than happy with Ubisoft's treatment of the brand over the last decade. Microsoft has announced an Xbox Anniversary Celebration to mark 20 years of Xbox. It has also made it clear that no new games will be announced during the show. Announced on the Xbox Wire blog, the Xbox Anniversary Celebration will take place on November 15, starting at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 5pm GMT. "While we won't announce any new games, this anniversary broadcast will be a special look back at 20 years of Xbox," said Head of Xbox Game Studios, Matt Booty. The Dead By Daylight character model for Pinhead has been licensed as an NFT and the game's fanbase isn't all too pleased about it. As reported by PC Gamer, fans will now be able to purchase an NFT of the Pinhead character model from Dead By Daylight. The sale of the NFT comes from the company Boss Protocol who, as part of an FAQ, states that it has "the official license to create NFTs based on Hellraiser using the in-game models that were created for Dead by Daylight." Actor, David Reale is joining the conversation on Cut To Cue!! David’s passion, insight-fullness, and playful spirit cut through all the noise. David has spent thousands of hours on set, teaching, and in the audition room (on both sides of the table), and today he opens up about how he personally navigates the twists and turns of the industry and shares his own personal struggles as an artist. This is NOT an episode for those who are looking to make excuses or play a victim in their lives. Today is for those who are ready to take responsibility and empower themselves to start taking action. Let’s get it!! In this episode: why you stop trying to be unique in auditions how to get your nerves to work for you and propel you to take more risks in your work how shame can rob you from fully exploring your creativity and stunt your growth as an artist How pulling an epic audition prank on a close colleague and friend turned into one of the greatest artistic experience of his life how being tenacious as an artist is directly linked to being confident as an artist What is actually happening on the otter side of the audition table   A little about David: David Reale is a Toronto born actor working in film, television and theatre.  Recently he starred as the title character in My Name is Asher Lev (The Segal Centre/The Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre co-production). Other theatre credits include The Great Gatsby (Lower Ossington Theatre), SHEETS(The Theatre Centre) and Mirvish Productions’ Ghost Stories. He co-produced and starred in Pvt. Wars and George Bernard Shaw's The Fatal Gazogene with indie theatre stalwarts The Red One Theatre Collective.     Reale starred in the critically acclaimed film BANG BANG BABY, which won Best First Feature at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival. He is featured in Aaron Sorkin’s directorial debut, Molly’s Game and the upcoming film GEORGETOWN, directed by and starring Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz.  Some of David’s television credits include recurring as Benjamin “The I.T Guy” on SUITS (USA), and guest appearances in MURDOCH MYSTERIES(CBC), The Boys (Amazon) and many more. Reale plays Charlie Cole in the Ubisoft video game franchise Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist.      As a teacher, David leads classes based in the Meisner technique at the studio of his mentor, John Riven, at George Brown College’s Acting for Media and Theatre programs and at AMAW Toronto
