Renowned actor Michael Rappaport, a previously outspoken critic of Donald Trump, has recently shown a potential shift in his political standing. This development occurred in light of disagreements with current President Joe Biden's administration and their policies. In a conversational exchange with Visegrad 24 podcast, Rappaport shocked his listeners by revealing this unprecedented change. Known for his harsh criticism against the former president and his family, Rappaport astounded everyone by leaving the door open to the possibility of voting for Trump in future elections. This unexpected announcement follows his denouncement of the idea of standing by Biden in the upcoming elections. Reflecting on his new political position, Rappaport stated, 'My political views have changed immensely.' Rappaport's comments were crystal clear. Despite the shock it would cause to his followers, he disclosed his abandonment of any support for Biden. He insisted that his decision is dynamic and currently, Trump's candidacy is a real option. Many people are astonished by this sentiment, but Rappaport affirmed, 'That's my reality.' Rappaport also detailed the reasons behind his nascent yet remarkable shift, commenting on specific policies that he finds distasteful in Biden's administration. Strongly voicing his grasp of American values, he said, 'I will not support anybody who's anti-Israel. I will not support anybody who's against ensuring America's safety.'See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In the latest episode of "Challenge Accepted," we dive deep into "Halo" Season 2, Episode 3, titled "Visegrad." This episode marks a significant turning point in the series, showcasing a complex web of character dynamics and setting the stage for an impending confrontation that promises to escalate the tension to new heights. "Visegrad" sees Master Chief and the Spartan Silver Team embarking on a daring off-books mission to search for the missing Cobalt Team at the Visegrad communications relay on Reach. The episode beautifully balances action with emotional depth, particularly highlighting the internal conflicts within Silver Team as they confront the realities of their rogue operation. The revelation of Corporal Talia Perez's ability to decode a mysterious Covenant message adds layers of intrigue and foreshadows the critical role she may play in episodes to come. The episode also delves into personal stories, such as Col. James Ackerson's poignant interactions with his father, who suffers from dementia. These moments provide a rare glimpse into the human side of the characters, often overshadowed by their military personas. Additionally, the narrative thread involving Admiral Jacob Keyes, the AWOL charges against Silver Team, and the tension with Ackerson adds a political dimension to the unfolding drama, raising questions about loyalty, duty, and the cost of war. "Visegrad" doesn't shy away from showcasing the darker aspects of the Halo universe, including the morally ambiguous decisions made by characters like Ackerson and the brutal realities faced by those like Laera and Kwan Ha in The Rubble. The episode masterfully weaves together the personal and the epic, setting a high bar for storytelling in the series. As "Halo" Season 2 continues to unfold, "Visegrad" stands out as a testament to the series' growth, delivering a compelling mix of action, character development, and thematic depth. Join us on "Challenge Accepted" as we explore the nuances of this episode, discuss the implications for the series, and speculate on what the future holds for Master Chief and the rest of the characters as the battle for Reach intensifies. "Halo" Season 2 is proving to be a thrilling ride, and "Visegrad" is a clear highlight, demonstrating the series' potential to not just entertain, but to resonate on a deeper level. -------------------- *Check Out All Our Podcasts!* Geek Freaks Podcast: https://linktr.ee/GeekFreaks Disney Moms Gone Wrong: https://linktr.ee/disneymomsgonewrong Challenge Accepted: https://linktr.ee/challengeacceptedgf Headlines: https://tinyurl.com/2p8bvu6d Level Up!: https://linktr.ee/PushingButtonsPodcast Who's Got Next Game: https://tr.ee/wX3t_vGxdO TrekFreaks: https://linktr.ee/TrekFreaks Geek Freaks Interviews: https://linktr.ee/GeekFreaksInterviews Outlast Podcast: https://linktr.ee/OutlastPodcast Round Three: https://linktr.ee/RoundThree From The Pages: https://www.patreon.com/GeekFreakspodcast -------------------- *Hang Out With Us!* Discord: https://discord.gg/6Jrvyb2 Threads: https://www.threads.net/@geekfreakspodcast Twitter: twitter.com/geekfreakspod Facebook: facebook.com/groups/227307812330853/ Instagram: instagram.com/geekfreakspodcast E-mail: thegeekfreakspodcast@gmail.com Twitch: twitch.tv/geekfreakspodcast Site: geekfreakspodcast.com --------------------- *Support Us!* Patreon: https://patreon.com/GeekFreakspodcast Store: redbubble.com/people/GeekFreaks

Kathleen from Plenty of Sunshine Travel met with Hilary from Avalon Waterways for this week's cruise chat. . I found it interesting that Avalon does not refurbish their ships. They do not rebuild their ships. They buy new ships. So, you know you will stay on the best of the best! Avalon's staterooms are set up so the moment you awake, you are immersed in the area you visit. The bed is angled, so you wake up to the most beautiful views. . Guests featured in this EpisodeGábor Tóka, Senior Research Fellow in the Vera and Donald Blinken Open Society Archives in Budapest. A sociologist by training, he has published more than 60 articles on electoral behaviour, public opinion, political parties and democratic consolidation in edited volumes, political science and sociology journals. He is also the author of Post-Communist Party Systems: Competition, Representation, and Inter-Party Cooperation (Cambridge University Press, 1999), and has co-edited The Europeanization of National Polities (Oxford University Press, 2012). GLOSSARYWhat is Fidesz, the Hungarian political party ?(00:1:20 or p.1. in the transcript) Fidesz, by name of Federation of Young Democrats–Hungarian Civic Alliance, is a centre-right Hungarian political party. Fidesz (the Federation of Young Democrats) was founded in 1988 as an anticommunist party that promoted the development of a market economy and European integration. Initially, membership was restricted to those age 35 and younger, though this restriction was eliminated in 1993. In 1995 the party appended the name Hungarian Civic Party to its shortened form (altered to Hungarian Civic Alliance in 2003). Fidesz had its first notable success in 1990, when candidates associated with a coalition of which Fidesz was a member won mayoralties in a number of cities. In elections to the National Assembly, Fidesz won 22 seats. In 1997 members of a Christian Democratic group that had dissolved joined Fidesz in the National Assembly, enabling the joint group to form the largest bloc. The following year Fidesz became the single largest party in the National Assembly. After some eight years of Socialist rule, Fidesz, capitalizing on Hungary's ongoing economic problems after the country's economic collapse in 2008, swept back into power in the parliamentary elections of April 2010, winning more than two-thirds of the seats. Fidesz and its junior electoral coalition partner, the Christian Democratic People's Party, repeated that feat in 2014 and again in 2018 and 2022, with Orbán returning as prime minister each time. Source: What is The Visegrad Group? (00:22:12 or p.5 in the transcript) The Visegrad Group (V4) is an informal regional format of cooperation between the four Central European countries: Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary, which are not only linked by neighbourhood and similar geopolitical situation but above all by common history, traditions, culture, and values. The idea behind the Group was to intensify cooperation in building democratic state structures and free market economies and, in the long term, to participate in the process of European integration. The date of its creation is 15 February 1991, when the Presidents of Poland and Czechoslovakia, Lech Wałęsa and Václav Havel, and Prime Minister of Hungary József Antall signed a joint declaration on the objectives and conditions of cooperation in the Hungarian town of Visegrad.Since 2004, all V4 countries have been members of the European Union, and the Visegrad Group provides a forum for exchanging experiences and working out common positions on issues relevant to the future of the region and the EU.In addition to European issues, V4 cooperation focuses primarily on matters concerning Central Europe, exchange of information, and cooperation in culture, science, education and youth exchanges. Priority areas include expanding transport infrastructure and strengthening energy security in the region. The Conference on the Future of Europe - a multi-year consultation that aims to set an agenda for the reform of EU policies and institutions in the medium to long term by inviting participation from EU citizens and civil society - is ongoing following the launch of its digital platform in April 2021. Does the conference represent a new frontier in deliberative democracy or does it give undue prominence to the preoccupations and divisive rhetoric of outlier political movements that do not represent majority EU opinion? Here, Wojciech Przybylski - Editor-In-Chief of Visegrad/Insight and Europe's Futures Fellow at the IWM - discusses these concerns with Ivan Vejvoda and expands upon his own research on the future of the continent: will Europe remain the peace project it was conceived as, or will strategic autonomy confer upon it the status of superpower? This Podcast was recorded prior to the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. In addition to his work at Visegrad, Wojciech Przybylski is chairman of the Res Publica Foundation in Warsaw. You can find him on twitter @wprzybylski Read more of his work at Visegrad/Insight here.Ivan Vejvoda is Head of the Europe's Futures program at IWM where, in cooperation with leading European organisations and think tanks IWM and ERSTE Foundation have joined forces to tackle some of the most crucial topics: nexus of borders and migration, deterioration in rule of law and democracy and European Union's enlargement prospects. The Institute for Human Sciences (IWM) is an independent institute for advanced study in the humanities and social sciences.
