Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of Interviewing the Legends I'm your host Ray Shasho. In a distinguished career as a singer, songwriter and producer, William Bell has come to define the essence of “soul.” Born in Memphis but based in Atlanta since 1970, William Bell was one of the pioneers of the classic Stax/Volt sound, joining such other illustrious musical forces at that label as Otis Redding, Sam and Dave, Isaac Hayes, Booker T. & the MG's, Albert King, Eddie Floyd, Carla and Rufus Thomas, The Staple Singers and the Bar-Kays, among others. After a two-year stint in the Armed Forces, William released his first full-length album in 1967, the classic The Soul of a Bell, which included the Top 20 hit single, “Everybody Loves a Winner.” That same year, blues great Albert King recorded what came to be his signature tune, “Born Under a Bad Sign,” also written by Bell, which has since become one of the most-recorded blues songs of all-time. Among his other classic hits at Stax were “Any Other Way,” “Never Like This Before,” “A Tribute to a King” (William's personal tribute to Stax legend Otis Redding), “I Forgot to be Your Lover,” his internationally acclaimed duet with Judy Clay, “Private Number,” and the perennial Christmas music favorite, “Every Day Will Be Like a Holiday.” As a songwriter, William Bell's compositions have also been recorded by such diverse stars as Otis Redding, Eric Clapton, Billy Idol, Lou Rawls and Rod Stewart, among many others. In February 2017 William received a Grammy for his latest CD on STAX/Concord Records “This Is Where I Live” for Americana Album of the Year and performed on the live TV presentation with Gary Clark, Jr.! On April 14th, 2023, William Bell will release an Album titled “One Day Closer To Home” with 12 NEW songs. William Bell continues to be a major force in the music industry! Please welcome Singer - Songwriter - Entertainer – Record Producer- Business Man- the legendary William Bell to Interviewing the Legends … Legendary Soul Singer William Bell Releasing New Album ‘One Day Closer To Home' PURCHASE THE LATEST ALBUM BY WILLIAM BELL entitled ‘ONE DAY CLOSER TO HOME' Available at https://williambellmusic.com/shop-download-music “One Day Closer To Home” is a master class on how to put down the deepest kind of blues from a lifetime achiever. With tremendous groove, the song leans into his signature, soulful sound. Bell doesn't waste a note, word, or bar telling this story of trying to get back to freedom and he makes you believe every bit of it. His vocal delivery is heart-wrenching, loaded with hope and despair all at once. Both the instrumentation and the track's music video are austere and minimal, which keeps the focus on Bell, where it belongs. It's an outstanding song that will catch you and keep you. In this episode of The Women's Vibrancy Code, Maraya discusses why it's important for everyone (but women especially) to allow themselves the feeling of being vulnerable in their lives – but also how to achieve an authentic version of vulnerability unique to each individual. On a trip recently, Maraya had a conversation with women on 2 separate occasions and they said they would rather swim with a SHARK than be vulnerable with other women. So what do we fear? If we expose ourselves, we will lose love, respect, and acceptance. For some reason, especially in groups of women, there are old stories, old trauma that shows up around losing love, respect and acceptance. Yet, true emotional connection requires honesty and trust. Also in this episode: Why we're not born afraid of vulnerability, but we shift to it The many different ways women hide their vulnerability Why Brene Brown believes vulnerability is our most accurate barometer of courage Why the quality of your life is direct proportion to your uncertainty Women have lost the space to share their experiences and intimate conversations The most important question you need to ask yourself: “who am I being?” Vulnerability is not having expectations of what other people will give you in return for your exposure The best 11 tips on how to be more authentically vulnerable for you Join Maraya on next All Inclusive Women's Vibrancy Retreat | March 9 - 13 in Ashland, Oregon: https://www.marayabrown.com/retreat Move from Exhausted to Energized, Balance Your Hormones and Feel Turned On By Your Life, Your Lover and Yourself: https://www.marayabrown.com/program-details Subscribe To The Podcast Apple Podcast | YouTube | Spotify Connect With The Show Facebook Page | Linkedin | Website | Tiktok | Facebook Group Want To Work With Maraya Brown And Her Team? As Un World Records transitioned to Un World Entertainment, Dionne decided to further her brand as a songwriter and teamed up with Priceless Music. ep -48 Your Liver, Your Lover, Your Lawyer with Jane Zarse in Chicago Welcome to The Soberoso™ Podcast where we invite guests and listeners from around the world to join us in “Sharing Our Passion For Recovery.” If you are an old timer in recovery, a newcomer, sober curious or a loved one of someone who struggles with alcoholism, addiction or mental health issues this show is for you. Each Tuesday we bring you a brand new episode where our grateful host Dora either shares what's on her mind or interviews a guest with Q & A's regarding what life was like before and after finding recovery. We are real people who have overcome incredible odds to turn our lives around and are passionate about tearing down the stigmas around alcoholism and addiction by speaking our truth and getting heard. This episode is packed with a powerful message and lots of laughs. Jane and Dora have a great conversation about using gratitude to attract more into your life to be grateful for. Some of the signs that Jane started to see indicating her drinking was a problem were, her uncontrollable shakes and that she had a real physical dependency on alcohol. Her disease took her from social drinking into drinking alone at home in her pajamas and her father was taking care of her daughter as she had become an unfit parent. She couldn't even look at herself in the mirror. Lacking emotional maturity due to drinking at a young age and never dealing with her problems sober was the catalyst for her writing her second book Sober And Pissed Off. Addiction and alcoholism are but a symptom we have to get to the underlying causes and conditions. Jane made a decision to get sober for her daughter and then stayed sober for herself. She didn't think it would be possible to stay sober but 11 years later she is still sober and happy today. Recovery works for those who want it. She is a beautiful example to her daughter and shares her experience as an alcoholic and her recovery journey openly with her now teenage girl. Jane Zarse is the Author of two books Love And Compassion Is My Religion and Sober And Pissed Off. PERSONAL QUANTUM HEALING SESSION - Adina and Tony do a 20 min. personal, quantum-healing session for you, each month, and give you our channelled feedback, via email. Includes the benefits of the above, weekly Podcast and group healing session, "A More Personal Journey", too! $35/month 3. LIFE COACH - on your schedule! You can ask me as many questions as you need, to help you get your life aligned with your inner truth. I will record answers and post them to our Life-Coach Patreon Group, for everyone's benefit. Although the issues we face are relatively common life challenges that ascending beings face, your name won't be attached to my recorded responses. I will also post higher awareness insights that will take you through your healing process. My goal is to give you real and very practical tools, and teach you how to use them, to live a life that is in harmony with your inner truth. I will do group healing/balancing sessions each week (approximately). As the group grows, it gets more powerful. Miracles can and do happen! This is an individual/group approach. Groups (cocreating collectives) bring powerful higher-self energy to the table for each individual to grow, heal and balance. $99/month HEALING FEEDBACK: https://merkabacarpet.wordpress.com/healing-energy-feedback/ ** Prices and services may change as everything does in ots evolution!** ------------------------------------------------------- MERKABA CARPET SERVICES ------------------------------------------------------- SERVICES 1.
