Send us a textSome wounds don't just hurt—they rearrange your world. We open up about betrayal in its many forms—breakups, family fractures, church hurt, even the quiet feeling that God didn't show up—and we offer a path forward that's both honest and hopeful. Without glossing over pain, we lay out five keys for healing: tell the truth about the wound, anchor your identity in God, choose forgiveness even if trust must be rebuilt, set boundaries that protect your heart, and invite God to redeem what was lost. Along the way, we share a vivid vision of broken glass becoming a mosaic, a reminder that your story can be remade into something stronger, rarer, and more beautiful. You'll hear how unhealed betrayal distorts identity, sabotages new relationships through projection and defensiveness, and traps us in loops of replayed pain. We talk about people-pleasing and why you don't need universal approval to follow God's call, especially when the resistance comes from your inner circle. We show how to love wisely at different levels of access—crowd, twelve, and three—without guilt or bitterness. With scriptures that speak to the brokenhearted and practical tools like journaling, counseling, and short daily prayers for those who hurt us, we move from theory to action. We close with a guided prayer for healing, words of encouragement for men and women navigating fresh heartbreak, and a gentle challenge to share what resonated most. If you're ready to release bitterness, rebuild trust wisely, and step into a redeemed season, press play and journey with us. If this helped you, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs it, and leave a review to help others find hope too.GET THE BETTER MARRIAGE BOOTCAMP HERE:Better Marriage Bootcamp (kenandtabatha.com)Better Marriage 90-Day Devotional:90 Day Better Marriage Devotional - Ken and Tabatha (square.site)DOWNLOAD THE FAMILY MEETING OUTLINE HERE ⬇️https://www.kenandtabatha.com/pl/2148103888Support Our Ministry: https://myalivechurch.org/giveConnect with us:- Website:https://www.kenclaytor.comhttps://www.tabathaclaytor.comhttps://www.myalivechurch.org- Socials:Instagram -https://www.instagram.com/kenclaytor/https://www.instagram.com/tabathaclaytor/https://www.instagram.com/myalivechurch/TikTok-@Ken_Claytor@Tabathaclaytor@myalivechurchFacebook-https://www.facebook.com/PastorKenClaytorhttps://www.facebook.com/pastortabathaclaytorhttps://www.facebook.com/myalivechurch- Ask us questions: info@kenandtabatha.com

The idea of a broken heart may make you think of a cartoon, an emoji or a bad break-up from your past. But broken heart syndrome is a real physical condition, which is also known as Tako-tsubo. Good guess but just wide of the mark. Tako-tsubo syndrome was described for the first time in Japan, at the start of the 1990s. Researchers in the western world didn't acknowledge the condition until several years later, towards the end of the decade. The name is Japanese because that's where the first case was recorded? How can we recognise the symptoms? In under 3 minutes, we answer your questions! Ever since a tornado tore through one of St. Louis, Missouri's poorest neighborhoods, there are piles of bricks all over the place. It's not just a debris problem. Bricks in St. Louis have a long and complicated history here – the darling of many historic preservationists and a good source of profit to just as many demolition crews. Producer Marina Henke spent a week in North City, tagging along with a brick layer who's racing against the clock to build back homes. We explore how The Tortured Poets Department and The Life of a Showgirl together illustrate the beauty of emotional duality, and remind us that when you can hold both, you can move through both. Join me as we break down songs like So Long London, Down Bad, I Can Do It With a Broken Heart, Father Figure, Cancelled!, Eldest Daughter, and The Fate of Ophelia, exploring how Taylor mirrors the process of mindfluness, emotional healing, holding more than 1 emotion at once, and self-trust through her lyrics. Now while Paul was waiting for them at Athens, his spirit was provoked within him as he saw that the city was full of idols. 17 So he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and the devout persons, and in the marketplace every day with those who happened to be there. 18 Some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers also conversed with him. And some said, “What does this babbler wish to say?” Others said, “He seems to be a preacher of foreign divinities”—because he was preaching Jesus and the resurrection. 19 And they took him and brought him to the Areopagus, saying, “May we know what this new teaching is that you are presenting? 20 For you bring some strange things to our ears. We wish to know therefore what these things mean.” 21 Now all the Athenians and the foreigners who lived there would spend their time in nothing except telling or hearing something new.So Paul, standing in the midst of the Areopagus, said: “Men of Athens, I perceive that in every way you are very religious. 23 For as I passed along and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription: ‘To the unknown god.' What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you. 24 The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, 25 nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. 26 And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, 27 that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, 28 for“‘In him we live and move and have our being'; as even some of your own poets have said, “‘For we are indeed his offspring.'Being then God's offspring, we ought not to think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of man. 30 The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, 31 because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.” Now when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked. But others said, “We will hear you again about this.” 33 So Paul went out from their midst. 34 But some men joined him and believed, among whom also were Dionysius the Areopagite and a woman named Damaris and others with them.In Acts 17:16–34, Paul's heart broke over the spiritual condition of the Athenians, and that compassion moved him to be a humble witness. The question for us is this: when we see idolatry around us, do we press in with love or pull away in judgment?Paul earned credibility by being present and finding common ground. Are you the kind of person who asks questions and shows curiosity about what others are going through, or are you more quick to offer advice and impart wisdom? How can you grow in courage to speak the gospel naturally — not as a project, but as love? How might remembering Jesus' humility reshape the way you approach people who disagree with you or live differently?

Mothers who have lost children, families shattered by loss of loved ones, these are the people who are really affected. The pain doesn't go away. Sherri Mandell's son Koby was only 13 when he was brutally murdered by Palestinian terrorists on May 8, 2001. He was killed along with his 14-year-old friend Josef when they were hiking in a canyon not far from their home. They were found in a cave after being stoned to death. Apparently, they died in a chance encounter with their attackers. The killers have never been identified. Sherri writes about this in her book The Blessing of a Broken Heart, which was first released in 2009. In the book she describes her refusal to give in to hatred. Instead, after Koby's death she started The Koby Mandell Foundation that runs a camp and healing retreats in Israel for family members of terror victims. The foundation continues it's work today.  It's easy to be outraged when you hear stories like this, but they are important to hear. As Sherri says in the book, while her broken heart will never be the same and she will always long for her son -it is possible to build a new heart.  When we can see others in pain and suffering and we see ourselves,  we can become more compassionate and be able to touch others. That is the blessing of a broken heart. Find out more about The Koby Mandell Foundation About Sherri Mandell Blessing of a Broken Heart Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

You know that feeling when you rediscover something—a sound, a feeling—that makes you feel young again? Takes you back 25-plus years? Just hits you right between the eyes? I do, because it happened the second I heard the opening riff of “Irish Goodbye,” the first single from latest album by the Minneapolis-based band the Honeydogs. That jangly guitar took me back to 1996/97, when the so-called alt.country music scene was just getting started. So it was a thrill to welcome Honeydogs singer/songwriter Adam Levy to the show and talk about the band's first album in almost 10 years, Algebra for Broken Hearts. More than that, this is the first album with the original lineup since 1997—so yeah, there's a familiarity here that's hard to beat. Adam talks about getting the band back together, writing songs with the new-old band, jamming with the band's drummer, brother Noah Levy, and a ton more. So sit back, dig in and jam out as Adam Levy joins me on For Songs.

From the Supreme Court's decision to hear the IEEPA reciprocal tariff case to ongoing discussions about reorganizing DHS and CBP, Cindy brings clarity to complex trade issues—all while reflecting on the transformation of trade and security programs born in the aftermath of 9/11. What You'll Learn in This Episode: Supreme Court to hear the IEEPA reciprocal tariffs challenge in November What a potential importer refund process could look like Section 122 as a possible bridge tool for duty assessments Why Section 232, 301, and fentanyl duties remain unaffected by the IEEPA case How 9/11 reshaped trade: CTPAT, Importer Security Filing, TSA, and DHS itself Current discussions on reorganizing DHS and Customs & Border Protection The possible merging of the Office of Trade and Office of Field Operations Key Takeaways: Importers must prepare for ongoing duty assessments, even if refund pathways open. The IEEPA case could significantly impact Treasury revenues and the federal deficit. 9/11 transformed international trade security programs, many still in place today. DHS reorganization could change how CBP balances trade enforcement and duty collection. Leadership alignment at CBP offers cautious optimism for the future of trade policy.
