Play NowThe Seibertron Twincast / Podcast starts episode 375 with a look at some of the initial toy offerings from Takara Tomy's Wild King line, presented through the lens of an anecdotal story about the host's weekly trash pickup. Teasers for another upcoming Transformers and Evangelion crossover toy release lead in thematically to several of the toys shown off at this year's Shizuoka Hobby Show, including collaborations with Macross, Zoids and Diaclone among the non-crossover releases like MPG Hauler and AMT Predaking. Several on-the-spot questions are posed to the cast related to their personal experiences and collections before the episode wraps up with the recurring "Bragging Rights" segment, where the cast shares their most recent Transformers toy and product acquisitions.

Ever wondered why Zoids still holds a special place in the hearts of so many mecha enthusiasts? Join me, Jet Black Xtreme (JB), as I share my journey through the iconic Zoids franchise in this episode of the Zone Podcast. From the intense storyline of Chaotic Century, set amidst the fragile ceasefire between the Gylos Empire and the Helic Republic, to the unforgettable characters like Van, Zeke, and Fiona, this episode is a heartfelt homage to a series that captured my young imagination. I'll share my favorite moments and characters, and why those animal and dinosaur-like mechs left an indelible mark on me as a fan.But that's not all! I'll also delve into the evolution of the Zoids series, including my mixed feelings about the enclosed arena battles in Zoids New Century, the unique setting and challenges in Zoids Genesis, and the fresh twist brought by Zoids Wild with its AI-enhanced Zoids. You'll hear about the dynamics between RD, Sweet, and Amy, and the enduring appeal of Zoids toys and video games. Plus, get a sneak peek at future plans for an extended review. This episode is a blend of nostalgia and critique, perfect for both long-time fans and newcomers alike. Send us a Text Message we may read live on the podcast! What makes a college football game better than Madden? And is a black protagonist in Assassin's Creed really worth all the controversy? This week, we kick off with some lighthearted banter about Xbox, Halo Infinite, and the simple joy of taking walks. Solomon joins the chat to discuss the exciting new video game announcements from the week, including updates from the Summer Game Fest. We also dive deep into the highly anticipated return of the college football video game, now branded as College Football 24 or 25, and how it stacks up against Madden in terms of gameplay and customization.Arcade racing, simulation games, and the ever-evolving Assassin's Creed series are on the table next, with a special focus on the latest installment, Assassin's Creed Shadows. Elon Musk's criticism of the game's black protagonist sparks a thoughtful conversation about diversity, equity, and inclusion in video game storytelling. We even touch on a medieval Japan game and the complexities of historical accuracy versus representation. Shifting gears, we reflect on the sensitive topics and freedom of speech in gaming, referencing potential remakes and controversial missions in classics like Resident Evil 5 and Call of Duty. From gaming journalism and social media's influence on public discourse to the nostalgia of collecting toys and action figures, our candid chat covers it all. We critique the shift towards YouTubers for trusted gaming opinions, the impact of live service models, and the enduring popularity of older games like GTA Online. With a nostalgic nod to the joy of collecting Gundam and Zoids model kits, we wrap NYXI Gaming - NYXI Wizard GameCube Wireless Joy-pad for Nintendo Switch. Embark on a genre-defying journey as we grapple with the animated enigma that is "Avatar: The Last Airbender"—is it truly a Western cartoon, or does its soul beat with the heart of anime? In our latest Senpai of Someguy episode, we tear down the walls of categorization, venturing deep into the stylistic mélange that makes shows like "Avatar," "One Piece," and "Bakugan" beloved across the globe. Even the mighty merchandising machine behind these series comes under our discerning eye, as we frolic through the labyrinth of what truly defines a cartoon versus an anime.Remember the good old days of Zoids and the dreaded un-rewound VHS tapes? We sure do, and we're bringing all that nostalgic goodness front and center. Our chat navigates the cultural crossroads of "Z-Laniels," that micro-generation straddling the line between Millennials and Gen Z, while we joyously rekindle memories of video store visits. It's not just about the past, though; we're also looking ahead, speculating on the anime treatment of Western superheroes with a sparkle in our eyes.Studio Ghibli films—timeless classics or cinematic puzzles waiting to be solved? We're not shying away from the tough questions as we delve into Ghibli's masterpieces, examining how their narratives and animation styles can sometimes pose a delightful challenge. We throw a critical eye on AI-generated art and consider the profound soul that hand-crafted animation brings to our screens, teasing our curiosity for the upcoming film "Suzume." Billy and Eric interview David Silva, owner of Creative Beast Studio, about his career as a toy maker and his current projects, including a Kickstarter for his new Science Fiction IP Cyberzoic! About David and Creative Beast: Creative Beast Studio (http://creative-beast.com) made its name with “Beasts of the Mesozoic” — scientifically accurate dinosaur action figures including Tyrannosaurs, Raptors, and Ceratopsians (Triceratops). Now owner David Silva is taking on another beast: his first science fiction IP “Cyberzoic.” Inspired by classic sci-fi and fantasy properties Dino-Riders, Transformers, Masters of the Universe, and Zoids, Cyberzoic's intricate action figures and comic books tell the story of humankind's near-extinction on a distant planet in a dystopian future. The brand features armored dinosaurs, dragons, prehistoric mammals, alien wildlife, and warring human clans. Cyberzoic's narrative engages adult fans of sci-fi, fantasy, and action figures. Silva used his 20 years of experience crafting figures for Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Godzilla, Spiderman, G.I. Joe, Terminator 2, Aliens, Predator, Spawn, and Pacific Rim to bring Cyberzoic to life. INTERVIEW: Like many of his peers coming up in comics in late 80s across the pond, Mike Collins fell in with the Marvel UK crew, drawing the likes of Spider-Man, Transformers, Doctor Who and Zoids. Of course, no UK comics career is complete without work on 2000 A.D., so you'll find his work there too. But things really took off when Mike moved to the US in the 90s, where he tackled many of DC's heavy hitters, like Superman, Batman, Teen Titans and Justice League. He only did a bit more work for Marvel (such as on Gambit's first appearance in Uncanny X-Men) but made a name for himself doing tie-in comics for TV and movie projects. Mike has also worked as a storyboard artist and currently contributes to Doctor Who Magazine. _____________________Dollar Bin Bandits is the official podcast of TwoMorrows Publishing. The following is a choice segment from an interview between Bit Cloud, pilot of the Liger Zero from Blitz Team, and the Cartoncasters. “Look man, life's not so easy in the post-apocalypse. Which post apocalypse? Not important. At least, not any more important than bustin' up some fools with my mad sick liger zero moves. Some shows have a central theme that dictate how the rest of the episode will play out, and some shows don't have a real theme to it and are just a hodgepodge of "stuff" to talk about. This is the latter, as we discuss the legacy of Leiji Matsumoto and some questionable future plans from Toei, more continued production delays, whatever this new Zoids project is, and another round of "internet translators are loud and annoying and need to let the adults work" - as one does, you see. Also, PLUTO IS ALMOST HERE. Next time, it's the CR Anime Awards. One Piece chapter 1075 is out now and this week we discuss at length who we believe the traitor is! We also discuss the fact that Robin referenced ZOIDS, and that the CP0 team up is definitely not a good idea.
We have guests! For this episode, Logan and first time guest Becca join the table to discuss the hard hitting issues. Right away there's a disagreement on the movie elf, Logan is in the wrong on this one. After another edition of 'Things Rich People Do', they get into another heated debate involving Christmas songs and the best animal. As with all new guests, we ask Becca the tough questions that no one else can answer. We also play a game of ‘Ask a Music Teacher'. This is mostly a nostalgic trip down memory lane with nonsensical rants and good vibes.

What is going on in the world of the Common Craig? A documentary? Yes! Well, we're discussing a documentary. Because the Common Craig decided that the only way that he could con Nicole into watching a bodybuilding documentary, was if it were under the guise of it being absolutely necessary, due to the podcast, of course. Get your barbells, your dumbbells, get ALL of your weights ready, and prepare to listen, as we break down the real-life characters revealed in Pumping Iron, in our Focus of Fear! Wait. THAT is the Focus of Fear? You'd better believe it! But wait! Maybe don't remove that weight belt, just yet! We continue with more muscle-bound mayhem, as we get to the absolute, god's honest truth behind Greek mythology, with Lou Ferrigno, starring in Hercules! And then from there, because we know that you STILL haven't had enough of Lou Ferrigno's pecs, we serve up even more verbal ambrosia, with The Adventures of Hercules!
