Welcome to another episode of The On Call Room! This month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and it is important for everyone to remember to do their self breast examinations! Link at the bottom explaining step by step how you perform one. Remember this simple monthly act can save your life! Most of the feels this episode come from Bird Man. Every time Abbey and Bri watch this story line, they both feel very sad. Izzie's inappropriate attention to patient's personal lives actually benefits her in this episode. She is able to help Bird Man feel calm during his surgery, as everyone is watching over him like hawks. After a tough day in surgery, and only shaving one leg Izzie has a breakdown. She pushes back sex with George for another night. This love story is panning out to be PRETTY pathetic. Cristina is shrinking Meredith while also "taking care of her". The true love story reigns again. Oh and the episode ends with Lexie and Karev having sex, and Mer walking in on it...yikes. On this weeks episode of The On Call Room Abbey and Bri exchange spooky stories, mostly involving their terrible choices in Halloween costumes. If you want your horrific Halloween costume on display, head over to Instagram and send over your photos to @theoncallroompod This episode was rated some pretty high scalpels. We have a spooky Halloween episode that is perfectly done. There is no ears boy, phantom foot man, and Norman. People are chainsawing off their feet and trick-or-treating for ears. It is spooktastic. Above all of that, we have Meredith carrying around her Mother's ashes in a Ziploc bag. It is just weird enough to fit perfectly into a Halloween special. She ends up dropping some of her on the hospital floor, where Derek McDreamy eye's her. It isn't until the last scence that Meredith puts her Mother to rest, in the perfect place, alongside exactly who Ellis would have wanted there. Other than that, we have George and Izzie working through their first day together as a couple. At the beginning of the day Callie announces they have been sleeping together, so now the whole hospital knows. It is incredibly awkward. AVA IS BACK and Karev is making out with her behind a curatin. She is the worst. HAHN IS HERE! She is telling off Cristina in the hallway. She is the worst. This week Abbey and Bri are taking Trans-Atlantic calls. That's right The On Call Room has ANOTHER guest from across the pond. The delightful Kelly scrubs in for a late night chat with your hosts. This episode starts with Callie telling George she forgives him. That is a real nail-bitter because it is obvious that was not what George was expecting. The whole episode leads to a cafeteria shakedown between Callie and Izzie. Unfortunately, all Callie wanted to do was speak with Izzie and she turned it into an even bigger humiliating moment for Callie. As if she hasn't been embarrassed enough? Meredith and Derek are struggling to maintain a healthy break-up space. At the end of the episode Derek tells Meredith he wants a lifetime with her. She isn't ready yet, and he knows it, we wonder will she ever be?? Adele shows up in this episode, so that is unfortunate. The episode ends with George finding Callie in the rain. He tells her she can't just forgive him. Izzie is crying in her room. What will happen with this love triangle? We all just hope it ends soon. The doctors story lines reflect it, for example: George admitting he is an adulterer. See? Truth. Meredith finally has to own up to Cristina and admit she is still sleeping with Derek (in the sexy red sheets). The truth comes out about George being an intern. The truth comes out about George sleeping with Izzie. The truth comes about about Bailey not being able to be #2. The truth comes out about Susan's case and how she died. Welcome to a new season of The On Call Room! Abbey and Bri are happy to announce they have added numerous awards to Patreon, so be sure to follow the link and check it out! This week the lovely Sarrah is scrubbing in, with all of her forensic knowledge. Perhaps, on later episodes we will have a new segment "Science with Sarrah" because she obviously knows way more than Abbey and Bri. It has been 17 days since the Cristina was left at the Alter. Her and Meredith honeymooned together in Hawaii and went snorkeling. Karev drove towards Rebecca, but didn't see her. Izzie sat around and waited to hear from George. George...well George found a way to cope and came back for his second go around as an intern. As for the other inters, we open with them as Residents. Our little intern babies are all grown up, with interns of their own. Interns that are include Lexie Grey, the girl from the bar AND Meredith's sister. This is bound to create some drama. Addison is gone, doing private practice things and Burke is gone as well. Bailey is dealing with not being Chief Resident and Callie is fucking up managing all the new residents. It is a pretty mild season premiere until we hit the end. Derek and Meredith officially break-up and then immediately proceed to have sex. AND THEN George shows up, and guess what...he loves Izzie too. Yup, that's right. What in the world are those two going to do?? This week we have a man's perspecitve! That's right listeners, if you want to know what a guy thinks of Grey's Anatomy look no further than to this episode. JD gives his insight into not only this weeks episode, but everything Grey's has to offer, you won't want to miss it. It has finally arrived, the moment the interns have worked for, exam day. In true Grey's fashion there are multiple distractions taking place throughout the episode, so it's pretty obvious someone is about to fuck it all up. Cristina is being harassed by Burke because tomorrow is wedding day. As Abbey points out why in the world would they choose to have their wedding the day after an exam, and why can't Burke just leave Cristina alone? Doesn't he understand this is the biggest day of her life thus far! Meredith is getting ready to go to Susan's funeral, when Thatcher arrives and pretty much emotionally slaps her in the face again. He tells her he doesn't want her at the funeral, which leads to Meredith blank starring throughout her whole test. Luckily, Chief gives her a second shot. George is moving to Mercy West, which has Izzie all up in her head. The love triangle continues. Karev is still loving on Ava. Beyond that, Callie crushes four surgeries putting herself in the running for Chief Resident. Adele shows up to the hospital and passes out in the bathroom, and they find the fourth climber from the mountain story line-- which at this point seems irrelevant. NEXT WEEK IS SEASON FINALE! This week on the On Call Room the elusive and lovely Johnny K stops by to chat with Abbey and Bri. He provides some insight into his feelings of Grey's anatomy. Spoiler Alert: he thinks Callie is very beautiful and claims M.A.S.H as his favorite hospital drama show....pretty rude seeing as he was on a Grey's Anatomy podcast. This is part 2 of the mash-up episode and is focused on Seattle Grace hospital, so if you haven't listened to Part 1, STOP push pause go listen to last weeks episode. Unless, you don't give a shit about Private Practice and Oceanside Wellness, then just continue listening to this current episode. Cristina wakes up to the mother's invading her apartment. That's right folks it is wedding planning time! This provides the viewers with some humor, as Cristina is obviously super uncomfortable. She's a good sport though, trying on puffy sleeved dresses and asking people to be her bridesmaids. Spoiler Alert: The bridesmaids dresses are absolutely hideous--however to be fair, aren't all bridesmaids dresses hideous? Susan Grey gets the hiccups, which long story short she dies. Which is weird and super uncommon, cause...it's the hiccups. Regardless, it is all terrible and sad and then Thatcher slaps Meredith....which is also pretty messed up. She will be unpacking that one for quite sometime. Alex and Ava are still being Alex and Ava *eye roll*. George and Izzie are still being George and Izzie *eye roll*. Ask to join the facebook listener squad, and cast your vote on the google forum. This episode is part one of a two part episode. Abbey and Bri have split the podcast into two episodes. This week they discuss Oceanside Wellness in LA where Addison goes to visit. Addison wants a baby. Wow. She visits her friend Naomi, a fertility specialist, and after an emotional roller coaster finds out she only has two eggs left. Through this process she embarrases herself in an elevator, delivers a baby, looses her mind in an elevator, tells of a group of patients, cries, breaks down in a stairwell, and kisses the new character Pete. We also meet the staff of Oceanside Wellness who will become the cast of Private Practice. We have Pete the naturopath, who is potentially the dark and twisty man. We have Cooper who is a pediatrician and is dating inappropriate women. Violet is the psychologist who is trying to get over her ex love. Sam and Naomi own the practice, are Addison's old friends, and recently got divorced. Among all these new characters, we also have multiple patients. It makes for a difficult two episodes to process. These mash-ups episodes are hard for the viewer. Pilots are hard for the viewer. Loosing Addison from Grey's is also, hard for the viewer. The On-Call Room: A Grey's Anatomy Podcast

This week on The On Call Room we have penis jokes, lots of them. Respect. Why was this episode even an episode? Abbey and Bri explore how many more storylines Grey’s can shove into a season, mirroring the Izzie and George saga. How about we write an episode about a dude who has a penis fish and is cheating on his wife? Perfect. Cristina is avoiding planning this wedding. Burke wants and needs her to pick a flavor of a cake, because to him this means the marriage will work. She chooses the Red Velvet and then they make out. Side note, if you’re having a hard time getting Abbey’s attention, just make out with her. Addison and Karev finally have sex. Mer and Der are fighting. She tries to communicate with him all day, but actually ends up telling him what she is having for lunch, not actually how she is feeling. Derek responds with he can’t keep breathing for her, and he doesn’t know if he wants to try, only AFTER they have sex. Cool. This week on The On Call Room special guest Lesley scrubs in with Abbey and Bri. She is living in New York with her cat and brought five pages of notes to discuss this week’s episode. Karev continues to be inappropriate with Ava. She finally had some face work done, so it is a little less difficult to look at her, thank you Mark Sloan. George and Izzie continue to be on the rocks, when someone from Izzie’s past shows up. Yes, Izzie has a child and she is sick. The parent’s ask Izzie to donate bone marrow to help save “Hannah’s” life. This all presents itself at a difficult time for Izzie, when she can’t go to her person George and confides in Bailey instead. This storyline bodes for great drama, but is LITERALLY NEVER spoken of again. This is pretty frustrating. Chief is spitting his Chief wisdom at Derek and saying he can’t do both and he is looking out for Meredith. Well Chief, you fucked up because now Derek is all nervy about being with Mer because chiefdom is his ultimate desire. Susan shows up and will not leave. This is annoying because she has literally never been a part of Meredith’s life. Now that Ellis is dead she is playing mommy and if you ask us, that is bull shit. However, by the end of the episode Mer leans into her fake mommy and finds appreciation for what Susan is attempting to do. More importantly, we have the lovely Chloe scrubbing in for the discussion of this weeks episode! She has great insight, and lives in Tornado Valley. Spoiler Alert: She has never actually seen a tornado. We have bone lady. Every time you touch her, she forms another bone. It is terrifying, or perhaps what is more terrifying is a high pitched speaking Elisabeth Moss as your daughter who places your hand in an awkward pose to help build an incredibly terrifying doll house that travels with you everywhere you go. Which is worse? You decide. The race for Chief is on. Addison talks herself up in the mirror. Colin Marlow has a ten year plan, and "tweaks for the hospital". Mark has a right now plan, and wins over the board. Obviously, he steals this idea from a Bailey teaching moment. George is hung as F*** and has to meet Callie's Dad. While he is out to lunch at Joe's Bar (the only place anyone goes in Seattle) he remembers his nighttime frolics with Izzie. Poor timing. George pulls Izzie into a storage closet and they dance around. It is decided they are not going to tell Callie. Honesty is not the best policy in this episode. WW1 Centennial News is brought to you by the US World War One Centennial Commission and the Pritzker Military Museum and Library. Welcome to our Thanksgiving week special show. [MUSIC] For this special week, where we traditionally celebrate with our families and give thanks for the bounty in our lives, we are bringing you a special episode of WWI Centennial News. We are celebrating with our now gone family of Americans who, 100 years ago took up the challenge, the mission and the fight to help end one of the most horrific periods in human history. We are going to take a moment to reflect and give thanks to their service and their sacrifice, whether they were soldiers, mothers, workers, men, women, children, even horses, mules and dogs - we are inviting you to join us in giving thanks to a nation committed to a cause. … not for territorial gain, not to dominate other nations or to stop other nations from directly dominating us -- but rather for a cause embodied in an idea and an ideal of liberty and freedom. Ideas we must never take for granted because we have them only courtesy of the commitment and sacrifice of our forbears.   If this all sounds “schmaltzy” to you… just take a deep breath and wrap your head around this… people DIED for you to have this. Think of your own family and those you love and remember those who have lost their loved ones - for you. On this Thanksgiving 100 years ago, literally millions of Americans both here and on foreign shores were united in preparing, training, building, transforming, fighting and even dying because our people by and large felt is was simply the right thing to do in the cause of liberty and freedom for the people of the world. So let us all give thanks for what we have. Meanwhile, we, the World War One Centennial Commission also want to give thanks to the many of YOU who have supported, sponsored and donated to our work and our mission of bringing this rather amazing moment of our history out of it’s dusty trunk in the attic of our past and into the awareness of our present. During this week’s episode we are going to bring you highlights from the November 9th Ceremonial Groundbreaking for the National WWI memorial at Pershing Park in Washington DC. It was a watershed moment in our ambitious effort in building a memorial to honor the men and women who served 100 years ago in the war that changed the world. By law, no tax dollars can be used to build this memorial. It must be built with private funds and donations - in that regards, this truly IS America’s WWI memorial. So during this time of giving thanks and celebrating what we have, we are asking you for you financial support with a tax deductible donation to built this WWI memorial. We need your help to do it. We can’t do it without you. And it’s easy - just go to ww1cc.org/donate - it’s a really simple URL to remember - the letters w w the number 1 - the letters c  c dot o  r  g/donate - ww1cc.org/donate… I a little while we’ll tell you how to donate by just sending us a text. But right now, from the ceremonial groundbreaking - Here is the chair of the World War One Centennial Commision - Commissioner Terry Hamby…. [Mr. Terry Hamby, Chair of the WWI Centennial Commission] You can help keep the faith with those who died - so they can rest in Flanders Field. We need your tax deductible donation to build their memorial… And of course we want to make that as easy as we can. So since many of you listen to our podcast on your smart devices, we have set it up so you can text a donation from your phone. It’s really easy. Go to your texting app and text the letters w w i  to 91-999. Our text-to-give app is really easy, safe and you can donate any amount you choose. You can even make the donation in honor of your family or your ancestor!   From the ceremonial groundbreaking, here is the congressman Ted Poe of Texas with a little background about his and Congressman Cleaver’s journey in getting congress to pass the law that established the memorial.   [The Honorable Ted Poe, Congressman]   It’s really a pleasure to be able to report that the centennial commemoration of WWI and the establishment of a national WWI memorial in Washington DC have served as an precious and rare area of bi-partisanship in our national legislature… this is truly a sign of honor and respect that all Americans have for those who serve and who have served our nation. And we’re appealing to you, whether your political leanings are Republican, or Democrat, Conservative or liberal to help build the memorial to commemorate those who answered the call 100 years ago. Give your thanks and honor those men and women of the past by sending a tax deductible gift - of any size - either by going to the website at ww1cc.org/donate or texting the letters wwi or ww1 to the phone address at 91-999. We’ll send you a receipt for your taxes and our sincere gratitude for your heart.   Next, here is Congressman Emanuel Cleaver with a little insight into the bi-partisan collaboration that surrounds this worthy project.   [The Honorable Emanuel Cleaver, Congressman]   Congressman Cleaver said it well. No gift is complete until we say thank you. We’re asking you - to say thank to our WWI veterans on this thanksgiving Holiday with a donation to their memorial - which completes their gift of sacrifice and service to us.. Please make a tax deductible donation - whatever you can - a dollar, 11 dollars and 11 cents for 11/11, 50, a hundred or a thousand.. Remember your own - with a gift specifically in the name of someone who has served our nation. Please go to to ww1cc.org/donate, or by texting wwi or ww1 to 91-999 now. You know it’s really important to remember and to be clear - we are commemorating WW1 - we are NOT celebrating it. War is not something to celebrate… War is a terrible thing! and to give you some insight into that - perhaps from an unexpected source - is the 39th Chief of Staff of the Army -   [General Mark A. Milley, 39th Chief of Staff of the Army]   Giving thanks is about caring… participating in the ceremonial groundbreaking is a project partner who will be taking on that task. Here is Bob Vogel from the National Park Service - whose national memorial role may not be something you are familiar with!   [Bob Vogel, director of the National Capital Region (NCR), National Park Service]   We want to remind you that the law specifically prohibits government funds from paying for this memorial - so none of this is possible without YOUR help. We need your contribution to build this memorial. So if you are listening on your smartphone  - pause this podcast RIGHT NOW then go to your texting application, type 91-999 into the address field - type the letters w w i into the message field and press send - you’ll get a reply immediately that will allow you to make a contribution of any size to help build YOUR memorial to WWI in our nation’s capital! Then come back here and listen to the rest of the show - we’ve got some good stuff coming - and you’ll be feeling really good as you listen!   We are a nation committed to honoring those who served - Honoring our WWI veterans is LONG overdue. Our next three speakers live, breath, service and support veterans - starting with the administration’s new Secretary of Veterans Affairs - the honorable David Shulkin   [The Honorable David Shulkin, Secretary of Veterans Affairs]   Both the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars have stepped up on this project with significant contributions to the WW1 memorial.   We want to thank them and their memberships for supporting the project so generously.   Here are Keith Harman, Commander-in-Chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Denise H. Rohan, National Commander, American Legion   [Keith Harman, Commander-in-Chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars]   [Denise H. Rohan, National Commander, American Legion]   Again, thank you to both the VFW and American Legion national organizations for their substantial and very important financial support of the WWI memorial in Washington DC - a city that is currently run by the  honorable Mayor Muriel Bowser. As you’ll hear, she and the city are very supportive and looking forward to having this new and important commemorative feature as a part of the Nation’s capital.   [The Honorable Muriel Bowser, Mayor of Washington]   So we have been pretty direct with you today - We need your help and contributions to build the WWI memorial! And although congress did not allow for any tax dollars to help, here is congressman Doug Lamborn who is going to tell us about a WWI commemorative coin that congress authorized - AND - with a portion of the proceeds available to help pay for the memorial.   [The Honorable Doug Lamborn, Congressman]   And to close out our thanksgiving special fundraiser for the WWI memorial, we have Congressman Kevin Yoder - with some thank yous of his own!   [The Honorable Kevin Yoder, Congressman]   So happy Thanksgiving to you and your family - Thanks for the time you’ve taken here today to reflect, hear about and remember those who have served and those who have paid to make our American way of life possible. Thank you for your generous contribution to our effort to commemorate and honor the men and women who gave us so much 100 years ago in the war that changed the world. And one last time, here is how you can contribute to the memorial and learn more about it.. Using a web browser, go to ww1cc.org - just type the letters w w the number 1 and c c dot o r g… that is the commission’s home page. When you get there on the top left of the page is a panel about the memorial. You can click on Donate Today or Memorial Mesign to learn about the details of the design, the location, the designers and more - it’s a pretty interesting site.. Or - really easy and fast - you can text to donate - send the simple text message “wwi” to the number 91-999. You’ll get a message right back that links you up with a donation page on your smartphone. Happy thanksgiving to all of you. Thank you for listening. Thank you for giving. Thank you for caring. We do this work for the doughboys and for you. It is our privilege! World War One Centennial news will be back next week with our regular program. I’m Theo Mayer, the Commission’s chief technologist and your host. [Music] So long.

DMTx Download The summer has been busy for us at Psychedelics Today. We have been working hard on launching our new online course, "Navigating Psychedelics: Lessons on Self-Care & Integration." Beside lining interviews up for the podcast, we have been recording video interviews/master classes for the course. Since we just launched the course this week, we figured that would check in and just talk about what's been going on. This conversation takes off with Joe and Kyle discussing the recent DMTx event that took place last month in Boulder, Colorado. During this talk, we both speculate the risks and concerns of this research as well as the potential benefit. With the conversation revolving around DMT and extended-state DMT research, the discussion heads down the rabbit hole for a bit and we explore the global crisis, climate change, future uses of DMT, alien worlds and alternative dimensions, and more! We also highlight the recent death of Baylee Ybarra Gatlin, who passed away at the Lightening in a Bottle festival during Memorial Day Weekend. The autopsy report suggests that Gatlin passed due to "Acute LSD Toxicity." Many condolences to the Ms. Gatlin's family and friends. It is very unlikely that Gatlin died from "Acute LSD Toxicity," but rather most likely from ingesting another substance like 25i-NBOMe. Tragic situations, like these, really stress the importance of substance testing. It seems that with the rise of research chemicals, adulterations in substances, and drugs laced with fentanyl one can never be 100% certain of what they are actually ingesting. Our first guest, Andy Lassner, makes a triumphant return to the podcast this week. The first time we spoke to Andy, he spoke candidly about his past drug use, alcohol abuse and other transgressions. This time, we pick up where we left off. How is Andy doing today? Does he deal with depression still, and if so, how does he do it on a day to day basis. We also speak with Andy about the people he helped by being on our show the first time. Once again, Andy is an open book; he shares with us about how he dealt with the passing of his father, what his support system looks like, and even talks a bit about what it’s like to work on The Ellen Show. Of course we also talk about Donald Trump, twitter, The Emmys, ask questions from the audience and talkother silly stuff. Don’t miss this show!
