Psalm 37 provides a Discovery of our nature: it is natural to boil over with anger when we see wrong. However, the psalmist tells us to not let ourselves get this way. This starts with five things we must do in Dependence on God: trust in Him, commit/roll away our burden onto Him, Delight in Him, and cease from anger. This takes the Discipline of being still or silent once we have done all this, but once we have, God promises Deliverance. When we're walking around saying, why is this happening? Why do the wicked prosper and those who love the Lord suffer so much? Psalm 37 reminds us how to make it through the tough times. Our suffering doesn't go unnoticed. God sees, He knows, and He upholds those who love Him. Fourteen years of ministry and the wisdom of David in his old age show us that God takes care of His own. God appoints reoccurring seasons in the life of the believer. They are tied together in a set order to permanently heal us and bring us to completion in Christ. He kills our spiritual diseases (our wisdom, pride and self-righteousness) and then He heals; He tears down our idols and then builds up a sure foundation on Christ. He's with us when we weep and may even cause us to mourn our spiritual condition, but He turns our tears into an inner laughter and our mourning into dancing. The message begins with recounting the story of a congregant that you were trying help with his own personal issues. He essentially says that he thinks he is smarter than any of the staff and you. This message is a warning about intellectual pride. We are to be cautious to not get puffed up in our own knowledge to "be not wise in your own conceits." The antidote is to work out our salvation in fear and trembling, in humility, to walk humbly with God. It is God that gives us knowledge and wisdom. Most brands do not grow. Despite the industry's obsession with "growth porn," relative market share remains remarkably stable over decades. In this episode, Dale Harrison—physicist, former CFO, and consultant—joins Marc and V to dismantle the illusion of marketing-driven growth. He argues that most "hockey stick" curves are the result of external technological innovations or massive capital injections, not tactical marketing genius. For the mid-to-senior marketer, the reality is stark: your Reach is largely "locked" by your current market share and budget. This leaves you with a singular, high-stakes variable to manipulate: Creative Effectiveness. We explore why 90% of a campaign's success relies on reach you often can't control, and why your only move is to ensure your creative isn't "pissing away" the precious budget you do have.Key TakeawaysThe Reach Limiter: 90% of effectiveness is driven by Reach (IPA data), but reach is a function of cash. Unless you have $700M in venture capital (like Warby Parker), your reach is capped by your existing revenue. The Price-to-Value Ratio: Real growth happens when technology drops the cost of a solution by 10x–100x (e.g., the iPod or Electronic Spreadsheets). Marketing merely rides the "rising lake" of these disruptions. The Zero Choice Rule: There is no statistical correlation between what a consumer bought last time and what they will buy next. Loyalty is a probability distribution, not a behavior to be "built."Creative as the "Last Resort": Because you cannot outspend the incumbent, you must out-think them. Creative is the only lever that can multiply your limited reach.Timestamps & Chapters02:00 – Why growth is the exception, not the rule.03:15 – Revenue Growth vs. Market Share Growth: Knowing the difference.08:30 – The "Rising Lake" Effect: How external factors mask marketing performance.13:45 – Case Study: How the iPod changed the price-to-value ratio of music.22:50 – Warby Parker and the $700M "Share of Voice" shortcut.31:10 – Creative: The only lever marketers actually control.38:55 – Deconstructing the Loyalty Myth and the "Zero Choice Rule."46:20 – The "Shape of Loyalty": Why market share is so stable over decades.51:30 – Practical Application: How to stop "pissing away" your limited budget.About the GuestDale Harrison is a strategy consultant and former CFO with a background in physics. The importance of surrendering yourself to God, rather than following your own "I thought" ideas, is highlighted in 2 Kings 5 in the various reactions of four figures: the maid who served Naaman's wife made a bold declaration of faith; the king of Israel thought highly of himself and assumed the worst; Naaman, full of pride, did not listen to instructions, but eventually submitted to God's way and God healed him; and Gehazi, Elisha's servant, disobeyed his master, taking payment that the prophet had refused, and received Naaman's leprosy as punishment. 2 Kings 5:1-27 VF-2078 Watch, Listen and Learn 24x7 at PastorMelissaScott.com Pastor Melissa Scott teaches from Faith Center in Glendale. Even a little pride can be enough to prevent growth. Pride manifests itself as presumption before God, love of human praise, inability to say "I was wrong", and a spirit that appears to possess all knowledge. God's cure for this type of disease is to listen to the corrective Spirit, to have a proper view of God, and to not have resentment towards God for rooting out pride. Do not take your salvation for granted and get complacent lest you engage in spiritual pride. It takes vigilance to stay by the stuff. In the Old Testament the children of Israel drifted away repeatedly and much of the church in America today has departed from the ways of God, but there is still time to return to Him. From their conception there was bad blood between Jacob, aka "Israel" and his brother Esau, aka "Edom." Tensions between their descendants continued after their death and run all the way through the Bible. Obadiah picked up on this and prophesied of Edom's downfall. The church of Jesus Christ has been infiltrated by Israel's ministry of foreign affairs and non-Christian religious groups that are paying evangelical pastors to promote pro-Israel propaganda and Christian Zionism. This is very dangerous and it's contributing to many errors within the church, such as the claim that the Jewish people are God's chosen people. This directly contradicts scripture, specifically Ephesians 1:4. Pastor Scott exposes the infiltration and reveals who exactly God's chosen people are. After the destruction of Sodom, Lot's daughters tried to take matters into their own hands by repopulating through incest with their father. The descendants of those children were the Moabites and Ammonites. They were pagans that warred with God's people and robbed them, but there were some like Ruth that turned to God. Everyone starts out reading the Bible on a superficial level, but when we go beyond the surface and Jesus' words begin to take root, they become oxygen for the Christian. This message challenges us to rethink the way God transforms the believer. Transformation doesn't occur in one singular, dramatic event. It's an ongoing, life-long process, unique to each individual. The Apostle Paul is a perfect example of this. Transformation begins when God opens our eyes and moves us into His light, it continues with slow and imperceptible changes throughout our lives, and it will be fully complete when we are in His presence. The cross of Jesus Christ and His resurrection are inextricably linked. It is His power over death and sin. Those that reject the message of the cross are in the process of perishing and to them, it is foolishness. For the believer that stays connected in faith, the message of the cross is the promise of salvation and eternal life. If we're going to study the person of Antichrist, we must start by studying the deceiver of the brethren, Satan, who will manifest himself incarnate in the person of Antichrist. In this message, we will learn Satan's names and characteristics, as well as the names, titles, characteristics, and origins of Antichrist. All of this will help us to be wise enough from the word to recognize what he looks like when he rears his head. When Christ returns, it will be swift and sudden. In three parables, Jesus warns believers to be prepared for His return, because there will be consequences for those who were lazy and complacent. Based on what's going on in the world, specifically the globalists' agenda to control every single person on the face of the earth, it's very clear that we're moving at warp speed towards the return of Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us why He must return, and as His church, it's our responsibility to wake people up about the globalists' agenda, to resist it, and to remain steadfast in the faith, expecting His imminent return. professorjrod@gmail.comExplore how Napster revolutionized technology education by changing the way we interact with digital files and access information. This episode delves into the transformation from physical media to digital packets, illustrating key moments that reshaped internet culture and technology. Whether you're preparing for your CompTIA exam or interested in IT skills development, understanding these technological shifts provides valuable context for tech exam prep and study group discussions. Join us as we unpack the history behind Napster and its lasting influence on technology education and digital innovation. We walk through Metallica's landmark lawsuit and the legal logic that treated visibility as control, then trace the diaspora that followed: LimeWire's messy resilience, Kazaa's global sprawl, and BitTorrent's protocol-level genius that made sharing intrinsic. Along the way, we examine what labels missed, what users learned, and why lawsuits against platforms morphed into letters to dorm rooms. Hardware and storefronts offered a ceasefire—hello iPod and ninety-nine-cent downloads—but ownership still clashed with a new habit shaped by search, speed, and scale.Streaming became the only model that matched the lesson users had already internalized: music should be searchable, immediate, and everywhere. That shift didn't stop at songs. Photos, documents, movies, and apps followed, because remote access began to feel natural. We talk candidly about artist trade-offs—reach versus leverage, algorithms versus programmers—and the way architecture keeps deciding outcomes. If you care about the history of technology, platform liability, or the future of creative work, this story connects the dots from a dorm room index to the blue play button on your phone. If this deep dive gave you a new lens on music and tech, follow the show, share it with a friend who remembers the dial-up hiss, and leave a quick review so others can find us. When looking for an individual sitting on the throne of David, we automatically think it must be the Pharez line which is recorded in the New Testament genealogies. However, we must read the prophecy out of Jeremiah 33:17 carefully. When we look at the Zara line as well, the promise is still ongoing, and we can see God's hand in History making all of this come to pass. The same can be seen when we look at Benjamin, and the Levites. Watch, Listen and Learn 24x7 at PastorMelissaScott.com Pastor Melissa Scott teaches from Faith Center in Glendale. The legend of Jeremiah in Ireland does not line up with historical evidence and timelines from the most reliable resources. It takes a lot of research to separate the true history of Ireland from the conflations and fabrications. Jeremiah did go to Ireland, and the ruling line of Judah did continue, but this story is not the same as what has been regurgitated in error by so many. The line of Judah was blessed with the right to rule and to give laws, and God promised that the seed of David would always sit on a throne somewhere. That ruling line did not end with Zedekiah; Jeremiah took Zedekiah's daughters to Ireland. But research shows that this did not happen in the time of Ollam Fodhla and Tea Tephi. We must take a closer look at Irish history. Watch, Listen and Learn 24x7 at PastorMelissaScott.com Pastor Melissa Scott teaches from Faith Center in Glendale. When we talk about the North and the South, we're talking about two separate and distinct groups of people. And when we talk about the people of the South called "Judah" we cannot refer them all as "Jews." Making these distinctions will help us to figure out who belongs to Judah, and also, what happens to the royal line after the last king of Judah is overthrown. The descendants of the tribe of Ephraim migrated into lands such as Parthia and Bactria, but they eventually spread to Britain. Britain became a seedbed for the spread of Christianity. The birthright tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh inherited what Jacob's firstborn son, Reuben should have had. This is a very big subject, one that requires a lot of foundational work, and we begin with the tribe of Ephraim. One must examine the tribe itself, the collective body of Northern tribes which Ephraim represents, and then the patterns of migration which led these Northern tribes to a specific place known as the United Kingdom.
