Jeremiah Cooper opens up about his journey through divorce, remarriage, and learning what it truly means to be a father. After eight years of marriage, separation, and four years divorced, Jeremiah and his wife Wendy remarried in 2013—a story that proves hope exists even in the darkest moments. He shares the hard-won lessons about unconditional love, the difference between happiness and joy, and why trust must be rebuilt through consistent behavior over time. Jeremiah discusses how he started an intentional Bible study in his living room that grew into a weekly gathering for teens searching for father figures. He wrestles with the balance between work and family, the importance of teaching wisdom over religion, and why the role of a father is to help kids discover their true identity in Christ. This conversation challenges men to fight for their marriages, be present for their children, and understand that righteousness isn't about perfection—it's about saying yes to God's transformation in our lives.---------Transform Your Body with Ned & RUK Fitness: RUK FitnessThis episode is sponsored by The Adventure of FatherhoodOrder The Adventure of Fatherhood children's book hereCheck out the TEDx----------Want to learn more about The Adventure of Fatherhood?https://www.adventureoffatherhood.com/https://www.rebelandcreate.com/Each week Ned sits down with a dad and asks him to open up his field notes and share with other men who find themselves on the Adventure of Fatherhood. Send us a textWhat if your slouch is quietly taxing your brain, draining your energy and dulling your mood? We sit down with clinical nutritionist and chiropractic rehabilitation specialist Mark Morningstar to unpack how posture is controlled by the brain's “autopilot,” why long hours of sitting shift that autopilot into a slouch, and how small, realistic habits can rewire the system for lasting change. This is a practical, science-led tour of functional neurology, movement, and breath that anyone with a desk, a phone and a busy life can use.Mark explains the energy economics most of us overlook: holding yourself up against gravity is one of the body's biggest energy bills. When alignment collapses, the brain diverts even more energy to stay upright, leaving less for immune, digestive and hormonal balance. We talk through research on standing versus sitting, the surprising fat-loss implications of being on your feet, and why a short stand or stroll after meals raises energy expenditure and stabilises you through the afternoon. Then we get tactical. You will learn dual-tasking drills that teach the nervous system a new default—think book-on-head walks, gentle ball tosses while standing tall, and simple counting challenges that distract the conscious mind so your autopilot records better posture. We dig into belly breathing to restore the lumbar curve and expand lung capacity, plus wobble chair or exercise ball routines that “brush your teeth for your back” in five minutes. Along the way, Mark shares the mindset piece—spoken daily affirmations—that helps these micro-habits stick. If you spend hours at a screen, wrestle with “text neck,” or want more energy without adding another gym session, this conversation gives you clear steps that fit into real life. Ned sits down with his former high school Bible teacher, Mr. Tom Amato, who has dedicated 54 years to working with youth. At 78 years old, Mr. Amato shares profound wisdom about unconditional love, the power of presence, and what it truly means to be a father. He reveals how he emerged from six years of total darkness and bitterness to discover God's infinite love, and how that transformation shaped his approach to loving others—especially children. This conversation challenges fathers to move beyond transactional relationships with their kids, to see themselves through God's eyes, and to understand that showing up with authentic, selfless love is one of the most powerful things we can do. Mr. Amato's insights on human needs, love languages, and walking beside others rather than controlling them offer practical wisdom for any father wanting to create deeper connections with their children. This isn't just another parenting conversation—it's a masterclass in what it means to love like God loves.---------Transform Your Body with Ned & RUK Fitness: RUK FitnessThis episode is sponsored by The Adventure of FatherhoodOrder The Adventure of Fatherhood children's book hereCheck out the TEDx----------Want to learn more about The Adventure of Fatherhood?https://www.adventureoffatherhood.com/https://www.rebelandcreate.com/Each week Ned sits down with a dad and asks him to open up his field notes and share with other men who find themselves on the Adventure of Fatherhood. Zack Ponder shares his raw journey from struggling entrepreneur with a DUI to becoming a present father who homeschools four kids while his wife battles cancer. A former special education teacher who worked with profound autism students, Zack discovered God through the daily challenges of non-speaking, violent students and translated those insights into his books "Special Days" and the upcoming "Happy Days" devotional. Now splitting time between his construction business in North Idaho and Southern California where his wife receives treatment, Zack opens up about the transformation from doing the right things to actually being present, learning to ask "what" instead of "why" when facing hardship, and discovering that his podcast interviewing special needs parents became unexpected training for finally seeing and hearing his own wife. He discusses the critical shift that happened six months ago when he truly embraced fatherhood in the hospital, realizing that if he didn't keep it together and lead, his family would fall apart. Zack vulnerably shares about living with in-laws for ten months, the reality of needing God moment-by-moment through daily challenges, and why he believes comfort is the enemy of growth for fathers.Guest LinksThe Unspecial Podcast - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-unspecial-podcast/id1829866470Instagram: @unspecialllc or @zackponderWebsite: unspecialllc.com---------Transform Your Body with Ned & RUK Fitness: RUK FitnessThis episode is sponsored by The Adventure of FatherhoodOrder The Adventure of Fatherhood children's book hereCheck out the TEDx----------Want to learn more about The Adventure of Fatherhood?https://www.adventureoffatherhood.com/https://www.rebelandcreate.com/Each week Ned sits down with a dad and asks him to open up his field notes and share with other men who find themselves on the Adventure of Fatherhood. But what if I told you that your words have the power to shape your reality? That's right, the way you speak about yourself, your life, and your circumstances has a profound impact on your thoughts, your actions, and ultimately, your outcomes. We've all been guilty of speaking negatively about ourselves and our circumstances at some point. You know, saying things like "I'm so stupid," "I'm not good enough," or "I'll never be able to do this." But the truth is, those words have power. They have the power to hold us back, to make us doubt ourselves, and to limit our potential. When we speak negatively, we start to believe those things about ourselves, and before we know it, we've internalized them and they're holding us back from achieving our dreams. This kind of negative self-talk can seep into every area of our lives, affecting our relationships, our work, and even our physical health. It's like a poison that slowly eats away at our confidence, our self-worth, and our motivation. And the craziest part is, we often don't even realize we're doing it. We're so used to speaking negatively that it's become a habit, a default way of communicating that's holding us back. But here's the thing: we have the power to change that. We have the power to choose our words, to choose how we speak about ourselves and our lives. And when we make a conscious effort to speak positively, to use affirmations that uplift and inspire us, we start to see a shift. We start to feel more confident, more motivated, and more empowered to take on challenges. So, what are positive affirmations, exactly? They're statements that affirm a positive aspect of ourselves or our lives. They're declarations that what we want to create or achieve already exists, and that we're simply aligning ourselves with that reality. For example, "I am capable and competent," or "I trust myself and my abilities." When we repeat these affirmations to ourselves, we start to rewire our brains, to reprogram our thoughts and attitudes. I've seen this transformation happen in my own life, and in the lives of those around me. When we make a conscious effort to speak positively, to focus on what we want to create rather than what we want to avoid, amazing things start to happen. We start to feel more hopeful, more inspired, and more motivated to take action. The power of intentional language is a game-changer. As the amazing poet, Maya Angelou, once said, "Words mean more than what is set down on paper. It takes human voice to infuse them with deeper meaning." When we use our words intentionally, when we speak life into existence, we start to see the world in a whole new light. So, I want to leave you with a challenge today. Be mindful of your language. Pay attention to the words you use to describe yourself and your life. Start to notice when you're speaking negatively, and make a conscious effort to shift those words into something positive. Speak life into existence with your words, and watch how it transforms your thoughts, your actions, and your outcomes. If you've had any experiences with positive language that you'd like to share, please drop them in the comments below. He offers simple solutions for building health into any schedule.  13:49 – The Challenge of Saying No Gillian and Deekron reflect on boundary-setting and how learning to say “no” is critical for prioritizing well-being.  15:00 – The 3x3 Assessment: Mind, Body, and Life Deekron explains his diagnostic framework of 9 challenges across mindset, metabolism, and momentum—and how clients use it to identify blocks.  17:44 – How Coaching Works: From Assessment to Shifts He walks through how he tailors coaching around specific shifts needed to overcome challenges like emotional eating or limiting beliefs.  19:18 – Deekron's Nutrition Philosophy Eat whole foods, time meals strategically, and find the right amount—not too little or too much. Personalized nutrition is key.  21:59 – Snacking, Cravings, and Intermittent Fasting Gillian shares her approach to managing nighttime snacking with fasting timers and low-carb meals. Deekron emphasizes addressing underlying nutritional or emotional gaps.  25:10 – Personalizing Nutrition for Unique Metabolisms The discussion turns to genetic variation, food sensitivities, and the need for individualized plans rather than dogmatic diets.  26:26 – Tackling Overwhelm and Time Management Overwhelm often comes from perfectionism or people-pleasing. Deekron dives into emotional root causes and building self-worth beyond constant achievement.  28:46 – Coaching Clients in Later Life Deekron affirms that mindset and transformation aren't age-bound—he's coached clients into their 70s and 80s who embraced new purpose and vitality.  29:58 – Start Here: The Most Powerful Shift Beliefs drive behavior. Whether it's health, wealth, or relationships—limiting beliefs block progress. Awareness and reframing are the first steps to change.  32:11 – Final Takeaway: Don't Make Good Habits Optional Deekron encourages listeners to commit to simple habits and small wins—starting is more important than being perfect.  33:47 – Where to Learn More Listeners are invited to find The Nine Shifts on Amazon or connect with Deekron on LinkedIn. If you want to get leaner and live longer, check out https://milliondollarbodylabs.com/   What if the reason you're not losing weight isn't just your food—but how you see yourself?   In this episode, I sat down with Joel Staley, a coach who helps men lose fat and feel better by changing their habits and how they think about themselves. We talked about how easy it is to get stuck in a “fat dad” identity and how to shift into a new version of yourself, one small step at a time.   Joel shared how he used 72-hour fasts to reset his body and mind, and how creating a “mind movie” he watches every morning helps him stay focused on the kind of life he wants to live. He even told a story about visualizing himself driving a sports car through the mountains… and how that exact moment actually happened in real life months later.   We also talked about why most guys don't need more diet info, they need a reason to believe they can change, some wins under their belt, and people in their corner who won't let them quit. If you've been feeling stuck or off-track, this episode will help you see what's really possible.   Key Takeaways:   The subconscious mind doesn't process negatives well, so it's better to phrase things positively. Being consistent with your mindset practices builds resilience against setbacks. Negative labels from others can reinforce bad habits, so addressing or limiting those influences is important. Hey Heal Squad! If you've ever looked in the mirror and thought “Is this just how it is now?” If so, this is exactly what you need to hear! In Part 1 of our conversation with Denise Kirtley, she shares how she went from burned out, binge eating, and pre-diabetic in her late 40s to competing in a bodybuilding competition in her 50s—after never having stepped foot in a gym. Denise opens up about the moment that made her change everything, how she overcame self-doubt and shame, and how strength training helped her reclaim her body, her energy, and her confidence. She also gets real about how to make the first step when you feel stuck, how to break the cycle of emotional eating, and why midlife isn't a decline—it's a decision. Whether you're navigating perimenopause, burnout, or just feel like you're “starting over,” Denise will remind you that it's never too late to become the strongest version of yourself. HEALERS & HEAL-LINERS:  Transformation starts with one honest moment. For Denise, it wasn't a rock bottom—it was realizing her wedding ring didn't fit. That moment of discomfort sparked a complete lifestyle shift. You can lose 50 pounds without extremes. Denise didn't crash diet or obsess over perfection. She focused on consistent habits, strength training, and choosing long-term wellness over quick fixes. Emotional eating keeps you stuck in survival mode. Denise recognized how food was numbing her stress. Once she got curious instead of judgmental, everything started to shift. -- HEAL SQUAD SOCIALS IG: https://www.instagram.com/healsquad/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@healsquadxmaria HEAL SQUAD RESOURCES: Heal Squad Website:https://www.healsquad.com/ Heal Squad x Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/HealSquad/membership Maria Menounos Website: https://www.mariamenounos.com My Curated Macy's Page: Shop My Macy's Storefront Prenuvo: Prenuvo.com/MARIA for $300 off Delete Me: https://bit.ly/43rkHwi   code: SQUAD EMR-Tek Red Light: https://emr-tek.com/discount/Maria30 for 30% off Airbnb: https://www.airbnb.com/  DENISE KIRTLEY RESOURCES: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/fiftyfitnessjourney/?hl=en Website: https://rebellionbody.com/  Get coaching: https://rebellionbody.com/pages/coaching  Challenge: https://my.playbookapp.io/denise-kirtley/programs/pull-up-program/23454  ABOUT MARIA MENOUNOS: Emmy Award-winning journalist, TV personality, actress, 2x NYT best-selling author, former pro-wrestler and brain tumor survivor, Maria Menounos' passion is to see others heal and to get better in all areas of life. Ready to refresh your routine and feel your best this summer? This episode is all about making small, sustainable changes that add up to big results. We'll walk you through simple yet effective habit swaps to boost your health and wellness—without the overwhelm. The key? Balance. We're focusing on three attainable habits: adding more protein to your diet, drinking more water, and moving your body more. Whether you're looking to reset your routine or just make healthier choices, we'll help you incorporate these tips in a fun and realistic way. Let's dive in and spring clean your lifestyle together!    Some key takeaways from this episode include: Use reminders to stay on track. Whether it's a paper planner, phone calendar, or alarms, setting small prompts throughout the day can help you build consistency in your habits—like getting up to move, tidying up, or staying active. Progress over perfection. Missing a day doesn't mean failure. Give yourself grace, acknowledge setbacks, and jump back in at that moment. Sustainable change comes from allowing room for growth. Accountability strengthens success. Having a friend or family member as an accountability partner keeps you motivated and can even deepen your connection.
