Look who's talking! That's right, it's me. Solo. Not in the studio, I'm actually in my Jeep on my way to a networking event. I wanted to stop and talk about something that's come up a few times in my coaching practice (and is actually quite common in business) and that is not having a plan. Not having a roadmap, not defining what it is you want to accomplish or what you want your business to be. Without a plan or an actual destination in mind, business owners just trudge along working day-in and day-out, but never accomplishing the growth and success that they had hoped for. This is a short episode where I talk about a line from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. Paraphrased: If you don't know where you're going, any road will get you there. Enjoy! ******************************************** Want to learn how to attract, hire, and retain top-tier employees? You won't believe it, dungeonneers! We have the one and only Allen Hammack -yes, THAT Allen Hammack- on to talk about his seminal creation, "The Ghost Tower of Inverness." We learn about Allen's introduction to gaming, his experiences playing in and writing tournament games. We get a bit of a peek into the early days of TSR and his job there. And of course there's the listener mail segment—where we talk about "monster of the week" type adventures—and the "This Ol' Dungeon" segment—where we learn the reasons behind some of the designs of the Ghost Tower and talk about a few of the things we might change up. Please give the episode a listen. If you have feedback, stories about your experiences with the Ghost Tower or tournament play, or questions you would like to hear our input on, write to: thisoldungeon@gmail.com. We are also excited to (soon) be getting back to the Geek Credit quiz show at the end of the episodes and have created thisoldungeonquiz@gmail.com where you can send your RPG and geek-related quiz questions and answers. Those questions will be selected to be used by one of us to test the others. All contributors to that segment's questions will be put in a drawing for fabulous RPG prizes! Episode 146 Sharon Hammack and Dusty Shuck Part 1 of 2 In mid 1990s Grand Rapids, Michigan, someone was killing sex workers. Sharon Hammack, a mother of two, was hogtied, stabbed, strangled, raped, and dumped on the side of a road. Despite many suspects, her case remained unsolved; all investigators had to go on was semen left behind by Sharon's killer. A DNA profile from the semen was entered into CODIS, and while it did not identify Sharon's killer…it connected her case to a murder 10 years later, in which Dusty Shuck was stabbed and dumped on the side of a road. It would take IGG to figure out who the common thread was in the two cases… and it did so just in time. This episode is sponsored by Masterclass. Watch The X22 Report On Video No videos found Click On Picture To See Larger Picture The [DS][CB] are trying to blame Trump for the inflation, they are using the price of eggs, but the narrative is falling apart. The [CB] is beginning the narrative of pushing back against Trumps rate cuts, if they keep the rates high and Trump brings inflation down with lowering oil the Fed is screwed, if they lower the rates and try to crash the economy they are screwed. Gold in the end will destroy the Fed. The [DS] is on life support. The [WEF] is trying to figure out a way to control the flow of information. Trump let us know that we have more work ahead of us, which means more winning. Scavino sends a message that we are witnessing the destruction of the old guard and the people are taking back the country. Trump let's us know that there is bright light above the US, Dark to Light. Vincent Reinhart, chief economist at BNY Investments and a former top economist at the Fed, said Powell won't let Trump's attacks affect his policy decisions. Fed officials have clearly signaled they expect to skip a rate hike, at least in January, to evaluate the job market and economy. Some officials, including Beth Hammack, president of the Fed's Cleveland branch, have argued that the persistence of inflation means the Fed should keep its key rate elevated. Hammack voted against the Fed's quarter-point cut last month. Most economists forecast that widepread tariffs will likely lift inflation by roughly several-tenths of a percentage point — not a large amount, but potentially enough for the Fed to postpone rate cuts. It could take months for the tariffs to be formally imposed and then to evaluate their impact on the economy. Some economists don't think the impact will be apparent until next year.
