Join the conversation with Under Armour's cybersecurity expert Gaurav Singh to dive deeper into cyber endurance. Learn zero-trust strategies to secure your cloud ERP and stay agile in API-driven systems.=====This Future of ERP podcast episode explores cybersecurity resilience in ERP systems, emphasizing endurance and agility to protect brands and supply chains. It highlights the shift from on-premises as a "black box" to cloud-first, API-driven environments that demand new security approaches. Zero trust architecture emerges as essential for securing modern ERP, given its openness to external threats. Daily security practices, like layered defenses, parallel athletic endurance to stay ahead of evolving cyber adversaries. Operational challenges include balancing availability with patching, prioritizing business continuity over rigid security timelines. Policies, standards, and controls form the foundation, supported by people, processes, and technology to safeguard sensitive data. A performance mindset fosters resilience through regular testing of business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Strong cybersecurity shifts from a cost center to a business enabler by partnering with teams rather than blocking initiatives. The future of ERP is predicted to be API-first, hybrid, and AI-integrated, heightening the need for proactive identity management. Overall, the discussion calls for continuous learning to keep pace with threats in this dynamic landscape.Download Episode TranscriptUseful Links: SAP Cloud ERPFollow Us on Social Media!SAP S/4HANA Cloud ERP: LinkedIn=====Guest: Gaurav Singh, Cyber Security Leader at Under ArmourGaurav Singh is an SAP cybersecurity manager at Under Armour with more than 19 years of experience and a proven track record of helping organizations protect themselves from cyber threats while maximizing their SAP investments. WBSRocks: Business Growth with ERP and Digital Transformation
Send us Fan MailSAP Cloud ERP represents a fundamental shift from the SAP environments many organizations have historically operated. Rather than the highly customizable, implementation-controlled systems of the past, SAP's cloud-first direction introduces a standardized SaaS operating model that reshapes how finance, operations, and IT teams interact with the platform. As SAP pushes deeper into AI-native capabilities, embedded analytics, and continuous release cycles, organizations are being forced to revisit long-standing assumptions around extensibility, governance, and total cost of ownership. At the same time, buyers must reconcile SAP's opinionated best-practice frameworks with the realities of legacy processes, industry-specific requirements, and complex integration landscapes. This webinar explores what SAP Cloud ERP truly means for long-term ERP strategy—highlighting the trade-offs between flexibility and standardization, the operational implications of SaaS governance, and the new implementation patterns emerging in cloud environments—so decision makers can evaluate whether SAP's modern cloud model aligns with their enterprise roadmap or whether alternative architectures may better support their operating model.Video: https://www.elevatiq.com/events-and-webinars/sap-cloud-erp-rethinking-erp-for-the-ai-native-era/Questions for Panelists?

Cloud ERP and AI are transforming professional services by tackling lean teams, complex billing, and forecasting pressures. Could these tools be your business's next competitive edge?=====Professional services firms face intense pressures like razor-thin benches, skyrocketing forecasting demands, and shifts from time-and-materials to outcome-based pricing with AI agents and software assets. IBM's Mark Hammack debunks cloud ERP myths around customization loss or security risks, explaining how SaaS slashes hardware costs, enables real-time insights through integrated project systems, and frees cash for growth. AI delivers in use cases like automating billing and RFP responses, accelerating month-end closes, and enhancing customer support, often driven bottom-up by creative teams. Ethical AI orchestration powers tools like "Ask HR" for faster resolutions, paving the way for agile, modular cloud ERP with natural language tools like Joule and Copilot for predictive analysis. One of the most consequential decisions a CFO will make is selecting and implementing an enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform. Yet beyond vendor comparisons and licensing costs lie hidden risks—customization overruns, stalled implementations, legacy system constraints, and organizational change fatigue. In this episode of The CFO Show, Melissa Howatson speaks with Harpal Mattu, FCMA, Managing Director at Agilyx Group, about what truly determines ERP success or failure. Drawing on decades of experience guiding global ERP transformations, Harpal shares practical lessons from both high-performing implementations and recovery projects where things went wrong.Together, they discuss:The true total cost of ERP ownership beyond implementation feesWhy excessive customization creates “Frankenstack” environmentsWhen to adapt your processes versus customizing the systemHow to structure ERP programs to reduce risk and avoid burnoutPhasing vs. “big bang” go-lives—and what CFOs must protectWhy change management must begin before system selectionThe evolution of ERP from system of record to system of reasoningWhether you're modernizing a legacy ERP, evaluating new platforms, or leading a finance transformation initiative, this conversation offers a strategic lens for navigating ERP decisions with confidence and discipline.
How do you build enterprise software for the companies that keep the world turning, while also building a leadership culture where people can actually thrive? In this episode of Tech Talks Daily, I spoke with Kerrie Jordan, Group VP of Product Management at Epicor, about her journey from studying literature to helping shape cloud ERP strategy at a global software company serving more than 20,000 customers worldwide. Kerrie's story is a reminder that there is no single path into technology leadership. Sometimes the foundations are laid in unexpected places, through storytelling, creativity, and a deep curiosity about people. Kerrie shares how her early career in product lifecycle management opened her eyes to the human side of software. Interviewing customers and writing case studies showed her that behind every system implementation is a personal story, a career milestone, or a business trying to survive and grow. That perspective still shapes how she approaches product and marketing today at Epicor, a company recently recognized as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud ERP for Product-Centric Enterprises for the third consecutive year. But this conversation goes far beyond market recognition. We talk openly about burnout, resilience, and the reality of leading through pressure. Kerrie reflects on the importance of protecting time, creating space to reconnect, and building a culture where empathy is practiced, not just discussed. Her view of leadership is grounded in communication, psychological safety, and being tough on problems rather than people. Mentorship is another thread running throughout our discussion. Kerrie explains why powerful mentorship is not passive. It requires vulnerability, preparation, and a willingness to hear difficult advice. A single phrase from a mentor early in her career, "stick-to-itiveness," continues to shape how she approaches hard problems today. We also explore the future of women in manufacturing and technology. Kerrie highlights the need for intentional change across education, early career development, and leadership visibility. She believes technology, particularly AI, can expand access, enable upskilling, and introduce flexibility that supports long-term career growth. At the same time, she makes a simple but powerful point. Women in tech want the same thing as anyone else: the space and autonomy to do their jobs well. From customer co-innovation and community-driven product roadmaps to inclusive leadership under commercial pressure, this episode offers a candid look at what it really takes to lead in enterprise technology today. If you are building products, leading teams, or questioning your own next career step, I think you will find something in Kerrie's story that resonates.
