Chelsea Hirschhorn is the founder and CEO of the fertility, pregnancy, and infant product company Frida. Chelsea originally worked as a lawyer, first as a bankruptcy attorney during the 2008 financial crisis, and then as associate counsel and director of special events for the Miami Marlins. But after a few years, she realized that she'd built a self-sufficient business at the Marlins and started to think about other opportunities for growth. At the same time, she'd started a family, and when her son got his first cold, she pulled out a Swedish nasal aspirator called a NasFrida that her neighbor had gifted her a few months prior. She used it and thought, “Why isn't this product available in every corner of America?” As it turned out, the neighbor, who had a business importing and selling NasFridas, was looking to sell theirs and close up shop. Chelsea took a risk, bought the stock, and the NoseFrida was born. She quickly got the product into pediatrician's offices and began sourcing and creating new ones. Today, her company, Frida, has over 150 products; is available in major retailers like Target, CVS, and Walmart; and is carried at more than 430,000 distribution points in 45 countries. The brand offers postpartum solutions, fertility aids, and recovery kits for C-sections and incomplete pregnancies. Today, Frida is known as a massively helpful brand for new parents and hopeful ones.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

No matter where you are in your career, you'll benefit from listening to 3Q. 3Q provides a window into the careers of some of the best in the music business. Topics include issues of empowerment, uncertainty, trust, finances, etc; issues that will impact you both personally and professionally. The executives we interview represent every aspect of the industry including but not limited to A&R, Marketing, Music Supervision, Artist Management, Promotion, and more. About Gregory: Gregory Hirschhorn is a music executive and entrepreneur. Gregory is currently the CEO/Co-Founder of Too Lost, one of the fastest-growing music distribution companies in the world. Too Lost provides SaaS solutions for independent music creators. Their distribution and publishing services deliver, monetize and protect songs across the globe for over 200,000+ independent artists and labels.
Elizabeth Hirschhorn, the "Tenant from Hell" currently occupying a guest house at a palatial estate in Los Angeles, faced a similar situation in Oakland just months before she moved into the L.A. home, court records show.As first reported by the Daily Mail, Hirschhorn, 55, began subletting at a $2.6 million home on 63rd Street in the Rockridge area of Oakland in 2019.There was a dispute over cleaning the unit and Hirschhorn continued to stay at the home without paying rent or having a lease agreement, eventually citing the COVID-19 pandemic eviction regulations and health concerns as reasons for not leaving, court records state.Support the show
After running a record label and finding common issues across several different music distribution platforms, Gregory Hirschhorn decided to enter the distribution space with Too Lost, paying extra attention to technologies and methods for combating fraud. The company uses Know Your Client (KYC) protocol, which has roots in the financial industry, to add extra security for users uploading their tracks for distribution to DSPs. This added measure helps to weed out bad actors who game the system to generate undue revenue. In our latest podcast, we talk with Hirschhorn about the benefits of implementing KYC tools and how they help protect artists and relevant rightsholders.

Abstract: Different theories explain how subjective experience arises from brain activity. These theories have independently accrued evidence, yet, confirmation bias and dependence on design choices hamper progress in the field. Here, we present an open science adversarial collaboration which directly juxtaposes Integrated Information Theory (IIT) and Global Neuronal Workspace Theory (GNWT), employing a theory-neutral consortium approach. We investigate neural correlates of the content and duration of visual experience. The theory proponents and the consortium developed and preregistered the experimental design, divergent predictions, expected outcomes, and their interpretation. 256 human subjects viewed suprathreshold stimuli for variable durations while neural activity was measured with functional magnetic resonance imaging, magnetoencephalography, and electrocorticography. We find information about conscious content in visual, ventro-temporal and inferior frontal cortex, with sustained responses in occipital and lateral temporal cortex reflecting stimulus duration, and content-specific synchronization between frontal and early visual areas. These results confirm some predictions of IIT and GNWT, while substantially challenging both theories: for IIT, a lack of sustained synchronization within posterior cortex contradicts the claim that network connectivity specifies consciousness. GNWT is challenged by the general lack of ignition at stimulus offset and limited representation of certain conscious dimensions in prefrontal cortex. Beyond challenging the theories themselves, we present an alternative approach to advance cognitive neuroscience through a principled, theory-driven, collaborative effort. We highlight the challenges to change people's mind and the need for a quantitative framework integrating evidence for systematic theory testing and building. Copy rights belong to original authors. Welcome to What Matters Now, a weekly podcast exploration into one key issue shaping Israel and the Jewish World — right now. On Thursday this week, tens of thousands of marchers -- including several government ministers and MKs -- marked the 1967 reunification of Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty with participation in the annual Flag March. While most of the masses sang, danced, and yes, caused a ruckus through the Old City's Muslim Quarter, much like every year in the recent past, at times parts of the mostly under-30, largely male crowd acted like a tinderbox eager for a spark. What was different this year is a group of left-wing activists blocked a main artery from the West Bank bloc of Gush Etzion to prevent marchers from reaching the capital. Perhaps taking a page out of the judicial overhaul protests, they stood with massive banners, chanting, "Fascism will not pass; the marchers will not pass." This push-pull political situation in Israel is the stuff scholars of contemporary history dream of. And for Dr. Sara Hirschhorn, an American historian and public intellectual who focuses on the Israeli ultranationalist movement, a research visit to the Holy Land couldn't have been better timed. Hirschhorn is currently an inaugural fellow at the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Center for Antisemitism Research and an instructor in Jewish and Israel Studies at Rutgers University. In addition to her research into Israeli extremism, she also focuses on Diaspora-Israel relations and the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. Her first, award-winning book, "City on a Hilltop: American Jews and the Israeli Settler Movement" (Harvard, 2017) will soon be followed up on with an in-progress manuscript entitled "New Day in Babylon and Jerusalem: Zionism, Jewish Power, and Identity Politics Since 1967."We sat together this week and in our wide-ranging conversation, we discuss the increasing extremist symbolism of the Jerusalem Day Flag March. We also drill down on how Israel's far-right parties are now considered mainstream as part of the Knesset coalition. And, we discuss how by simply envisioning what the world could look like the day after peace breaks out, we may actually get there. This week we ask Dr. Sara Hirschhorn, What Matters Now. What Matters Now podcasts are available for download on iTunes, TuneIn, Pocket Casts, Stitcher, PlayerFM or wherever you get your podcasts. Details are now emerging just how much the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) overstated deaths from COVID-19. Joel Hirschhorn, the editor of the Pandemic Blunder Substack and author of the book, Pandemic Blunder, dug deep into the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) to see just how brazen the hype had been. Many of the deaths listed as “COVID” were very obvious accidents, suicides, and homicides. Hirschhorn says this was no accident but an orchestrated campaign to ramp up fear among the public, preparing people to receive the vaccines. Hirschhorn believes the deaths from the vaccines may now exceed COVID itself. Other topics:- CDC's COVID data tracker, which cited 1,099,866 deaths from COVID 19 as of January 17, 2023. How are we to regard that number?- Uniformity in death certificates- The importance of autopsies in “sudden deaths” - How Gov. DeSantis's “grand jury” approach may bear fruit in getting to the bottom of the COVID shot marketing and coercion- The recent Rasmussen survey showing that now even those who received the vaccines are becoming skeptical of safety

Richard Hirschhorn and Mona Chun, co-creators The Circular Design Glossary, introduce the new guide to understanding the future of furniture design. It was developed by mebl | Transforming Furniture, where Richard and Mona are founder/CEO and chief operating and sustainability officer, respectively, in partnership with the Sustainable Furnishing Council. Our homes are the center of our lives and a primary source of CO2 emissions. The Ellen McArthur Foundation has estimated that 80% of the environmental impact of the way we live can be changed by making better product design decisions. That may make it sound like most choices are out of our hands, because we have to rely on the companies to chose low-impact materials designed for circularity, taking what we can get. Richard and Mona share a variety of examples of sustainable furniture designs from small designers as well as retail giant IKEA.Mona and Michael suggest that “the very first step to a ‘circular future' is accessible information and awareness” and ask “how can we transform this throwaway paradigm into a just, regenerative and sustainable system?” Those are great questions to ask when shopping for furniture or any other product or service each of us choose. Becoming better informed about our home decor and furnishing choices empower shoppers to exert pressure on manufacturing and services companies to reduce their environmental impact and our own footprint. You can learn more about the Circular Design Glossary at https://sustainablefurnishings.org/glossary and about mebl at https://meblfurniture.com/
