The Feast of the Immaculate Conception: THE WOMAN Will Come into the World and Oppose the Enemy of the World and Oppose the Enemy of Goodness The human heart has a tendency to hide when the person has done something wrong. It is that way when we sin. It produces a certain desire to hide. In the first reading (not included within this audio) we hear about Adam and Eve hiding from the Lord after they have eaten to fruit of the tree. They hide from God. Hear more in the Homily. Everything we hear in the readings and the Gospel today deals with man's hiddenness. God speaks of the consequences of hiding and refusing to step out of the darkness into the light. On the Day the Church celebrates the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady, the Readings and Gospel speaks of hiddenness. God tells the snake, and Adam and Eve how it will go, and what will happen. God will raise up one who will be an enemy of the snake. The snake who is the enemy of man and the enemy of goodness. God will raise up THE WOMAN who will be the enemy of the snake. Well, I start off professing my love for tacos and all things Mexican when it comes to food and drink. I also mention my recent promotion and raise. Record Store Day #2 for 2022 is this coming Saturday morning. I can't wait. I will be recording a Special Report like normal for that also. I picked up a few records while thrifting this last weekend also... Freakout Guitars - Freakout!! The New Guitar Sounds 101 Strings - The Soul of Mexico Various Artists - Knockout The Isley Brothers - 3 + 3 Personally, I dig Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+. Do I think it's kinda odd at times and a little off? Sure. Do I really care? Nope. It's an episodic space opera. It's really that simple. The new season of Stranger Things is incredible. The best one yet. The renewed love for Kate Bush as a result of it is staggering to see also. Amazing song and perfect placement in the series. Running up that Hill is something I remember seeing the video for on MTV when I was a kid. I also really loved an album of hers that I had on CD called The Sensual World. The song This Woman's Work is a track on there and its great. Don't Give Up is a duet with Peter Gabriel she did also back in the day. Incredible. Been watching Repo Man also. It's a wild film from the 80s I recalled rather well before seeing it again. Emilio Estevez is great in it alongside Harry Dean Stanton. Not quite as awesome as I recall, but still a killer soundtrack and kinda fun. The January 6th Hearings are something else, people. I really don't know what to say other than this...I guarantee that event was all planned out mostly because of what I've seen and heard during this. Hell, one representative (Barry Loudermilk) gave one of these monsters full access to map out escape routes and more the day prior to the event. It's not a question...it's right here. There's simply no arguing it. I mean, who the hell takes pictures of security checkpoints and stairways? Other than those attempting a coup, I mean. I'm done beating around the bush and pretending that what happened didn't happen. It did. It's sick and sad. We need to punish and move on. Nothing new in books so much. Paradise Sky is still my go-to while mowing. I did read a wild new book (comic) called NewThink by Gregg Hurwitz. Pretty amazing really.
